  • The types of service using location Information are being various and extending it's domain as wireless internet technology is developing and it's application part is widespread, so it is prospected that LBS (Location-Based Services) will be killer application in wireless internet services. This location information is basic and high value-added information, and this information services make prior GIS (Geography Information System) to be useful to anybody. The acquisition of this location information from moving object is very important part for these LBS. After this, when LBS is familiar to everybody, we can predict that LBS system load is so heavy for the acquisition of so many subscribers and vehicles. Moving object database (MODB) system manages objects like subscribes and vehicles that are moving and have telecommunication terminal checked one's location. MODB is consists of 4 part, moving object location acquisition part, moving object location storage part, moving object query processing part, and moving object application p art. In this MODB system, acquisition of moving object location part must provide guarantee location information as well as reduce telecommunication overhead. In this paper, we study of problems in acquisition a huge number o f moving objects location and design some acquisition strategies to reduce telecommunication overhead. And after implementation these strategies, we estimate performance of this system and quality of information.

The Effects of Zeolite Structure and Ion-exchange Material on NH3-SCR Reaction (제올라이트 종류 및 이온교환 물질에 따른 NH3-SCR 촉매 반응 특성)

  • $NH_3$-SCR has high NOx removal efficiency approximately 80~90%. Recently, the copper or iron ion-exchanged zeolite catalysts are widely used as automobile SCR catalysts. In this paper, the effect of the space velocity, temperature of reaction and $NO_2$ addition on the $NH_3$-SCR reaction were studied using various zeolite SCR catalysts. The test was conducted with small sized fresh catalysts in a laboratory fixed-bed flow reactor system using simulated gases. It is found that the activity of the BEA is better than MFI. It seems that three-dimensional framework and a wide pore entrance of BEA enhances the SCR activity. It is also found that low temperature activity of Cu-zeolites was better than Fe-zeolites. Once $NO_2$ was added, the NOx conversion activity of the Cu-zeolite was slightly enhanced, whereas remarkable improvement was achieved by Fe-zeolite.

  • The main objective of this paper is to investigate the performance characteristics of a $CO_2$ air conditioning system for fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEV). The present air conditioning system for FCEV uses the electrically driven compressor and electrically controlled expansion valve for $CO_2$ as a working fluid. The experimental work has been done with various operating conditions, which are quite matching the actual vehicle's driving conditions such as different compressor speed and high pressure to identify the characteristics of the system. Experimental results show that the cooling capacity and coefficient of performance (COP) were up to 6.3kW and 2.5, respectively. This paper also deals with the development of optimum high pressure control algorithm for the transcritical $CO_2$ cycle to achieve the maximum COP.

  • RTP (rapid thermal pressing), one of micro-pattern replication techniques like hot embossing, is focused on achieving shorter cycle time. DFSS(Design for Six Sigma) has been applied in order to enhance the completeness of the development process for RTP system. According to DIDOV roadmap, we derived design concepts and subsequently decided the main performances, design factors, and components for RTP system. In the design process of RTP system using finite element analysis, it was realized that its structural characteristics affect large area replicability. Optimizing structural design factors, based on CAE, it was checked out that its large area replicability could be improved in a virtual test. Finally, we have a plan to validate the large area replicability of the developed RTP system, by performing micro-pattern replication tests with polymeric sheets.

  • According to the regulation on the environment and fuel efficiency is becoming strict, many experiments are conducted to improve efficiency and emission in internal combustion engines. LTC (Low temperature combustion) technology is a promised solution for low emissions but there are a few barriers for the commercial engine. This paper includes optimization that applies LTC method to heavy duty diesel engine. Adequate LTC was applied to low and middle load as adaptability in heavy duty diesel engine, and optimization focused on reduction of fuel consumption was proceeded at high load. Through this research, strategy for practical use of LTC was selected, and fuel consumption has improved on the condition that satisfies the emission regulation at systematic viewpoint.

  • 디지털 TV 방송이 본격적으로 보급됨에 따라 2004 년 후반부터 각 방송사들은 디지털 방송네트워크의 설계를 위해 본격적인 전계강도 실측을 실시하고 있다. DTV 신호 측정에는, 가장 기준이 되는 전계강도 측정기를 비롯하여 DTV 복조기(demodulator), 각종 셋톱박스, 위성항법장치(GPS)를 이용한 지형정보시스템(GIS) 등 많은 장비가 필요하고 측정항목도 다양하여, 한 지역을 측정하는데 많은 시간이 소요될 뿐 아니라 측정자의 숙련도에 따라 측정결과의 정확도와 신뢰도가 떨어질 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제들을 해결하기 위해 다양한 계측장비와 운용장비의 제어를 체계적으로 관리하고 측정절차를 일반화하며 측정결과 데이터를 데이터베이스화하여 측정결과를 용이하게 파악할 수 있는 통합 측정 시스템을 제안한다. 또한, 본 시스템은 측정 뿐 아니라 지형정보시스템과 전계강도 예측시스템을 도입하여 측정지점 주변의 수신환경 분석 및 최적 수신위치의 검색정보 등을 제공하며, 다량의 측정결과에 대한 다양한 분석이 가능하여 커버리지 분석 및 송신 네트워크의 설계 등에 활용될 수 있다.

  • LTCC는 고주파영역에서 손실이 낮고 적층구조의 모듈제작이 가능하여 고주파용 모듈제작에 응용이 가능하다. 최근 수동소자가 내장된 ASM이나 FEM 등의 모듈은 그 집적도가 높고 기판의 두께가 감소함에 따라 소재의 고강도 특성이 요구되고 있다. 이와 같은 경향에 따라 Anorthite계 결정화 유리로 알려진 300MPa 이상의 고강도를 나타내는 CaO-Al2O3-SiO2계 소재가 선행 연구 과정을 통하여 개발되었다. 본 실험에서는 기 개발된 조성의 고강도 소재를 이용하여 RF부품에 적용하기 위한 테스트 쿠폰을 제작하였다. 고강도 소재를 이용하여 green sheet를 제조하고 수동소자인 R, L, C 등을 기판 내에 내장화 하기위해 LTCC 공정을 이용하여 각 층에 다양한 선폭 및 크기의 패턴을 인쇄한 뒤 적층하여 $900^{\circ}C$에서 소결하였다. 이 과정에서 공정에 대한 적용성이 각 공정별로 평가되었으며 완성된 테스트 쿠폰을 이용하여 소재의 전기적인 특성을 평가하였다.

  • 전력 계통은 거대한 네트워크화되고 있으며, 전력계통을 신뢰성 있게 운용하는 것이 어려워지고 있다. 이에 따라 전력계통에 대한 숙련된 운전기술이 필요하게 되고, 실제 전력계통 모의를 통한 미경험 고장의 처리기술을 습득해야할 필요성이 생기게 되었다. 그러한 취지에서 각종 유틸리티는 운용자 지원 소프트웨어나 고장의 발생과 복구를 훈련할 수 있는 시뮬레이터를 대부분 구비하고 있다. 이러한 프로그램의 핵심적인 기능은 고장의 시나리오를 실제 계통에서 발생할 수 있는 고장으로 상정하고, 전문가 그룹에 의해 도출된 복구절차에 의해 복구 과정을 훈련하는 것이다. 전력계통이 복잡화되고 거대화됨에 따라 복구절차 또한 복잡화되고 있으므로 기존의 Case-by-case에 의해 복구절차를 생성하는데는 한계가 있다. 그러므로 본 연구에서는 Lex라는 구문분석기와 Yacc라는 파서를 이용하여 복구절차 생성시 복구 절차를 적절한 그룹을 만들고, 과 그룹을 통해서 조합 가능한 모든 복구 조작 순서를 생성하기 위한 그룹핑 알고리즘을 구현하고자한다.

Simulation of a Laser Tomography Adaptive Optics with Rayleigh Laser Guide Stars for the Satellite Imaging System

  • Adaptive optics (AO) systems are becoming more complex to improve their optical performance and enlarge their field of view, so it is a hard and time consuming process to set up and optimize the components of AO systems with actual implementation. However, simulations allow AO scientists and engineers to experiment with different optical layouts and components without needing to obtain and prepare them physically. In this paper, we introduce a new AO simulation named the Korea Adaptive Optics Simulation (KAOS), independently developed by LIG Nex1. We verified the performance of KAOS by comparing with other AO simulation tools. In the comparison simulation, we confirmed the results from KAOS and other AO simulation tools were very similar. Also, we proposed a laser tomography AO system with five Rayleigh laser guide stars (LGSs) optimized by using KAOS to overcome the disadvantages of the AO system with a single sodium LGS for the satellite imaging system. We verified the performance of the proposed AO system using KAOS, and the simulation result showed averaged Strehl ratio of 0.37.
