Previous studies showed that many secondary school students and teachers have difficulties in distinguishing the phenomena of dissolution and diffusion, as well as the phenomena of diffusion and effusion. In this study, currently accepted term definitions of dissolution, diffusion and effusion were searched from the IUPAC Gold Book and the physical chemistry textbooks, and the points to differentiate the definitions were sought. Also, the term definitions of these three phenomena in the secondary school text books and the college general chemistry textbooks were surveyed and compared to the currently accepted definitions. It was found that dissolution is formation of one new phase from mixing two phases, while diffusion is the migration of matter down from the concentration gradient. The "concentration gradient" is considered to be a key point to distinguish diffusion from the dissolution. However, the concentration gradient was not mentioned in the definitions of diffusion in most of the secondary school textbooks and the college general chemistry textbooks. Effusion is differentiated from diffusion by the gas molecules escaping from the container through a tiny hole without collision. The definition of effusion was not found in most of the secondary school textbooks.
One of the difficulties of female-headed families face is economic hardship. Low-income single mothers work long hours, become isolated and feel burdened for dual roles. And many of them don't have relatives to share parenting roles. As a result, children of low-income female-headed families are easy to be neglected and left to form a delinquency-prone group in neighborhood. Traditionally, it has been viewed that children in female-headed families have problems due to the loss of father role. However, study indicates that these children can adjust well if the relationship between mothers and children is consistent and adequate. An Intervention program for low-income female-headed elementary children was developed and delivered in two community social welfare centers. The purpose of the program is to raise self-esteem. Two goals were 1) management of daily living habits and 2) improvement of family relations. Social workers maintained contact with mothers to talk about children's behaviors and to prompt hugging and touching. In addition, workers helped children to form good relationships with peers and school teachers. Children were satisfied with the program. Their family relations were improved statistically significantly after the program(wilcoxon signed rant test z=-2.934 p<.05). However, their self esteem were not improved significantly (wilcoxon signed test z=-1.173 p>.05). Qualitative analysis of each children were also discussed. The implications of the study are the followings: Intervention programs need to be delivered separately for low-grade and high grade elementary children because they have different developmental needs. The program also need to include education on sex and marriage as well as aggression reduction. Society needs to provide more support to single mothers for their personal and parenting needs.
Recent technological advancements, along with an increase in mobile Internet access, have spurred on significant developments in the production of e-textbooks. This case study explored the affordances of an iPad e-textbook through teacher and student experiences in English lessons using observation and interviews. The results showed that English learners and teacher benefited from handy and quick web access and the all-in-one features of the e-textbook (dictionary, hyperlinks, and note-taking functions). However, information oversupply by the e-textbook confused students' learning and both students and teacher pointed out technical difficulties in using the e-textbook. In order to implement English pedagogy with technologies such as iPad e-textbooks, teachers should be equipped with the relevant technical skills and content knowledge in order to assist them in becoming autonomous learners in the digital classroom.

Properties of school foundation are divided into fundamental property for education and fundamental property for profit. As school sites and teachers used for educational and study activities of students, fundamental property for education includes practice sites, farms and support research attached facilities in addition to school facilities. According to the Clause 1 of Article 4 of the University Foundation and Management Regulation and the Attached Table 2 of the Same Regulation, dormitory is classified as property for education(non-profit). In other words, there is no need to create profit for dormitory management. It is supposed that there are little regional differences in construction cost of dormitory with general specifications. In this case, boarding fees of university dormitories should make no difference. This study analyzed boarding fees, depending on regional factors(Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, metropolitan cities and provinces), and depending on foundation subjects(national public university and private university), classes(four-year university and college) and principal schools-branch schools. The result of One-Way ANOVA showed that Seoul showed the highest average boarding fee and it was followed by Gyeonggi-do, metropolitan cities and provinces. Also, the average boarding fees of private universities and four-year universities were higher than national public universities and than colleges, respectively. In addition, branch school's boarding fee was higher than principal school's. Additionally, this study extracted a model using the hedonic model to see how various characteristics such as region, foundation subject and class influence the boarding fee. This study would serve as fundamental research on the boarding fee. Thus far, there have been difficulties in obtaining accurate data and analyzing boarding fees, since there is no open data about dormitories and it isn't mandatory to open it, but it is anticipated that this would be used as fundamental research for estimating and analyzing boarding fees of many universities in the future.

The properties of arithmetic are considered as essential to understand the principles of calculation and develop effective strategies for calculation in the elementary school level, thanks to agreement on early algebra. Therefore elementary students' misunderstanding of the properties of arithmetic might cause learning difficulties as well as misconcepts in their following learning processes. This study aims to provide elementary teachers a part of pedagogical content knowledge about the properties of arithmetic and to induce some didactical implications for teaching the properties of arithmetic in the elementary school level. To do this, elementary school mathematics textbooks since the period of the first curriculum were analyzed. These results from analysis show which properties of arithmetic have been taught, when they were taught, and how they were taught. Based on them, some didactical implications were suggested for desirable teaching of the properties of arithmetic.

Due to COVID-19, most schools are conducting online learning. In this study, a total of 12 block-type educational programming tool classes were conducted in the form of online learning for 6th grade elementary school students, and then quantitatively and qualitatively analyzed students' perceptions of their learning experience on entry learning. As a result of the analysis, it was found that the learner easily recognized the use of the entry program and the difficulty of learning contents, and the learning satisfaction was high. When students face difficulties, it was found that they received the most help from the hint function provided by the site itself, and they were found to be less aware of the necessity of teachers when learning entry. As a result of the qualitative analysis, it was found that the learner felt a lot of novelty and fun through easy and simple operation. On the other hand, it was found that the learning contents and hints were not understood, which made them difficult and felt that the hint contents were insufficient. It was found that students felt a sense of accomplishment by creating and manipulating programs as they wish.
One of the latest teaching strategies is smart classroom teaching. Teaching is carried out with the assistance of smart teaching technologies to improve teacher-student contact, increase students' learning autonomy, and give fresh ideas for the fulfillment of students' deep learning. Computer-based technology has improved students' language learning and significantly motivating them to continue learning while also stimulating their creativity and enthusiasm. However, the difficulties and barriers that many EFL instructors are faced on seeking to integrate information and communication technology (ICT) into their instruction have raised discussions and concerns regarding ICT's real worth in the language classroom. This is a case study that includes observations in the classroom, field notes, interviews, and written materials. In EFL classrooms, both computer-based and non-computer-based activities were recorded and analyzed. The main instrument in this study was a survey questionnaire comprising 43 items, which was used to examine the efficiency of ICT integration in teaching and learning in public schools in Kuala Lumpur. A total of 101 questionnaires were delivered, while each responder being requested to read the statements provided. The total number of respondents for this study was 101 teachers from Kuala Lumpur's public secondary schools. The questionnaire was randomly distributed to respondents with a teaching background. This study indicated the accuracy of utilizing Teaching-Learning-Based Optimization (TLBO) in analyzing the survey results and potential for students to learn English as a foreign language using computers. Also, the usage of foreign language may be improved if real computer-based activities are introduced into the lesson.

The purpose of this study is to discuss the improvement plan of book curation service by examining the current status of book curation, necessity and effectiveness of book curation, targeting librarian teachers. A questionnaire survey was conducted targeting 51 librarians in the Gyeonggi region. The main results are as follows. First, 86.3% of respondents had experience in book curation operation. Second, the most important reason for book curation service was to introduce resources of various subjects to students. Third, the subject of curation were selected by book event and social issues. Fourth, there were many cases where librarians performed services without receiving training on book curation. Lastly, although the recognition that book curation services are necessary is high, they are experiencing operational difficulties due to lack of space and budget. Based on the results, Based on the results, we suggested that this study has academic contributions as data that reports the reality of book curation, and that in order to actively match library resources with users without disappearing, professional education and curriculum of librarians should be able to eliminate common problems in previous studies.

This study was to analyze the related contents by securing 32 volumes of 8 types of physical education textbooks for grades 3, 4, 5, 6 that are being used in the school field for the revitalization of dance education. As a result, the 3rd grade expression area organized textbooks focusing on movement language and expression elements. For the 4th grade, most textbooks suggested gymnastics using balls, hoops, and ribbons. In the 5th grade, Ganggangsullae and Mask dance were suggested in relation to Korean folk dances, and Tinikling and Gustaf's skoal suggested in relation to foreign folk dances. had been In the case of 6th graders, the exploration of expression elements and the expression process were presented in relation to thematic expression, and the subject expression was made possible with a focus on creative gymnastics. Also, line dance among practical dances was presented in most textbooks. Despite the importance of the expression domain, field teachers at school are complaining of difficulties in teaching and learning due to various internal and external problems. The need for activation is raised in that the expression domain can exert effects in all cognitive, mental, and affective domains.
This study was undertaken to analyze the growth, nutritional, and dietary risk factors of elementary school students belonging to the Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education and provide the basic data needed to develop an underweight and obesity prevention program. In 2021, BMI and Dietary Screening Test (DST) data of 4,046 children surveyed by the Nutrition Education Experience Center's "Diagnosis System" of the Busan Regional Office of Education were analyzed. The DST consists of 36 questions about lifestyle habits, meal quality, meal regularity, snack quality, and eating behavior. Of the children included, 6.8% were underweight, 65.4% were normal weight, 13.4% were overweight, and 14.4% were obese. Children in the obesity group had shorter sleep and meal times (P<0.001), lower vegetable and fruit consumption frequencies (P<0.001), higher fast food consumption frequencies (P<0.001), higher rates of skipping meals (P<0.01) and breakfast (P<0.001), and more frequently used smartphones and watched TV during meals (P<0.001). The underweight group had the highest scores for all eating development factors but more frequently had chewing and swallowing difficulties (P<0.001). The study confirms underweightedness and obesity are present different problems and indicates that nutrition teachers should conduct accurate studies on the eating habits and behaviors of obese and underweight students and provide individually tailored nutritional counseling.
