다랭이 주낚의 양승방식에 따르는 어획미수의 차 (The Difference of the Tuna Longline Catch by Retrieving Method)

  • 다랭이 주낚의 양승방식에는 방향의 양승(On-tracing retrieve)방식과 역방향의 양승(Back-tracing retrieve) 방식의 두가지 방식이 있다. 순방향의 양승은 최초에 투승된 주낙끝에서부터 양승하기 시작하여 투승한 순과 같은 순으로 양승하는 것이고 역방향의 양승은 최후에 투승된 주낚끝에서부터 양승하기 시작하며 투승한 순과 반대순으로 양승하는 것이다. 주낚의 조업소요시간을 변갱하지 않고 양승방식만 변갱한다면 주낚의 평균침지시간은 변하지 않고 다만 침지시간의 분포구간만 변한다. 투승작업시간을 $\tau_1$, 투승작업이 끝나고 양승작업을 시작하기까지의 대기시간을 $\tau_2$, 양승작업시간을 $\tau_3$하면 주낚의 침지시간분포범위는 양승방식에 따라 다음과 같이 서로 다르다. $\tau_2$부터 $\tau_1+\tau_2+\tau_3$까지의 범위 역방향으로 양승할 때 $\tau_1+\tau_2$부터 $\tau_2+\tau_3$까지의 범위 임의시의 낚시 어획성능은 $F_0\varrho-^{-zt}$ ($F_0$는 초기어획성능, z는 감소계수, t는 투승후 경과시간)으로 나타낼 수 있고 침지시간 t인 낚시 Hro의 어획미수는 $H_{F_0}\frac{1-\varrho^{-zt}}{z}$로 나타낼 수 있으므로 주낙조업에서 낚시수 $H_G$개 이고 침지시간이 $\tau_\alpha$$\tau_\beta$ 범위내에서 분포하면 어획미수는 $C_G$는 다음과 같이 나타낼 수 있다. $$C_G=\frac{H_G}{\tau_\beta-\tau_\alpha}{\cdot}\frac{F_0}{Z}\int^{\tau_\beta}_{\tau_\alpha}(1-\varrho^{-zt})dt$$ $\tau_\alpha,\;\tau_\beta$의 값은 순방향의 양승에 있어서는 $\tau_\alpha=\tau_1+\tau_2,\;\tau_\beta=\tau_2+\tau_3$, 역방향은 양승에 있어서는 $\tau_\alpha=\tau_2,\;\tau_\beta=\tau_1+\tau_2+\tau_3$. 따라서 다랭이 주낚의 어획미수는 그 양승방식에 따라 차가 있고 순방향의 양승으로 더 많은 어획미수를 얻을 수 있다.

  • Motivated mainly by certain interesting extensions of the ${\tau}$-hypergeometric function defined by Virchenko et al. [11] and some ${\tau}$-Appell's function introduced by Al-Shammery and Kalla [1], we introduce here the ${\tau}$-Lauricella functions $F_A^{(n),{\tau}_1,{\cdots},{\tau}_n}$, $F_B^{(n),{\tau}_1,{\cdots},{\tau}_n}$ and $F_D^{(n),{\tau}_1,{\cdots},{\tau}_n}$ and the confluent forms ${\Phi}_2^{(n),{\tau}_1,{\cdots},{\tau}_n}$ and ${\Phi}_D^{(n),{\tau}_1,{\cdots},{\tau}_n}$ of n variables. We then systematically investigate their various integral representations of each of these ${\tau}$-Lauricella functions including their generating functions. Various (known or new) special cases and consequences of the results presented here are also considered.

A Temperature-Dependent Index of Mitotic Interval ($\tau_0$) in Haliotis gigantea and Haliotis discus

  • In order to establish effective procedures for chromosome manipulation in Haliotis gigantea and H. discus, which are of enormous aquacultural potential, temperature-dependent measures of mitotic intervals ($\tau$$_{0}$) were determined. Mitotic intervals ($\tau$$_{0}$) in these abalone were determined by averaging the duration of the first and third embryonic divisions over a range of temperatures from 8 to 26$^{\circ}C$. The relationships of each mitotic interval at two cell ($\tau$$_{I}$), four cell ($\tau$$_{II}$ ), eight cell ($\tau$$_{III}$), sixteen cell ($\tau$$_{IV}$ ) and $\tau$$_{0}$, to temperature (T in $^{\circ}C$) in H. gigantea were log $\tau$$_{I}$ : 176.1-28.3T, log $\tau$$_{II}$ : 199.5-12.4T, log $\tau$$_{III}$ = 236.2-12.2T, log $\tau$$_{IV}$ = 269.3-14.lT and log $\tau$$_{0}$ : 83.1-32.8, respectively. The relationships of each mitotic interval at $\tau$$_{I}$, $\tau$$_{II}$ , $\tau$$_{III}$, $\tau$$_{IV}$ and $\tau$$_{0}$, to temperature in H. discus were log $\tau$$_{I}$ = 104.9-13.8T, log $\tau$$_{II}$ : 138.3-10.5T, $\tau$$_{III}$ : 172.4-10.2T, log $\tau$$_{IV}$ : 211.3-12.2T and log $\tau$$_{0}$=85.6-33.3T, respectively. There were strong, negative correlations between mitotic interval and water temperatures for all ten temperatures in these two species (H. gigantea: Y = -138.75 logX + 341.25, $R^2$ = 0.97; H. discus: Y = -112.33 logX + 255.22, $R^2$ = 0.98, where Y is mitotic interval and X is temperature).d X is temperature).rature).

Tau mis-splicing in the pathogenesis of neurodegenerative disorders

  • Tau proteins, which stabilize the structure and regulate the dynamics of microtubules, also play important roles in axonal transport and signal transduction. Tau proteins are missorted, aggregated, and found as tau inclusions under many pathological conditions associated with neurodegenerative disorders, which are collectively known as tauopathies. In the adult human brain, tau protein can be expressed in six isoforms due to alternative splicing. The aberrant splicing of tau pre-mRNA has been consistently identified in a variety of tauopathies but is not restricted to these types of disorders as it is also present in patients with non-tau proteinopathies and RNAopathies. Tau mis-splicing results in isoform-specific impairments in normal physiological function and enhanced recruitment of excessive tau isoforms into the pathological process. A variety of factors are involved in the complex set of mechanisms underlying tau mis-splicing, but variation in the cis-element, methylation of the MAPT gene, genetic polymorphisms, the quantity and activity of spliceosomal proteins, and the patency of other RNA-binding proteins, are related to aberrant splicing. Currently, there is a lack of appropriate therapeutic strategies aimed at correcting the tau mis-splicing process in patients with neurodegenerative disorders. Thus, a more comprehensive understanding of the relationship between tau mis-splicing and neurodegenerative disorders will aid in the development of efficient therapeutic strategies for patients with a tauopathy or other, related neurodegenerative disorders.

$K-{\varepsilon}-{\tau}$ 난류모델을 이용한 축대칭 엔진 실린더내 유동장의 수치해석 (The Numerical Analysis on In-cylinder Flow Fields of an Axisymmetric Engine Using $K-{\varepsilon}-{\tau}$ Turbulence Model)

  • Current turbulence models including modified $K-{\varepsilon}-{\tau}$ turbulence model do not predict compression effect on turbulence accurately in an internal combustion engine. The $K-{\varepsilon}-{\tau}$ turbulence model was suggested to improve the predictability of compression effect by We et al. In this paper a numeri-cal study was performed to clarify the applicability of the $K-{\varepsilon}-{\tau}$ turbulenc model to the calculation of the in-cylinder flow of an axisymmetric engine. THe results using $K-{\varepsilon}-{\tau}$ turbulence model are compared to those from the modified $K-{\varepsilon}-{\tau}$ turbulence model and experimental data. The mean veloc-ity and rms velocity profiles using $K-{\varepsilon}-{\tau}$ turbulence model showed a better agreement with an experimental data than those of modifid $K-{\varepsilon}-e$ turbulence model.

  • A new MR angiography technique using a composite sequence for the suppression of static sample signals is proposed and verified with experiments. When the composite [$90^{\circ}-{\tau}-180^{\circ}-2{\tau}-180^{\circ}-{\tau}$] sequence is applied, the large signal from the static sample is sufficiently suppressed but the signal from fresh inflow sample of which amplitude. is observed without suppression. These properties are appropriate for angiographic applications. In this paper, a modified line scan method (Block line scan angiography) incorporated with the composite [$90^{\circ}-{\tau}-180^{\circ}-2{\tau}-180^{\circ}-{\tau}$] sequence is used to obtain flow-only images, i.e., angiograms. The block line scan method improves the resolution in the flow-direction at the expense of imaging time. With the composite sequence, there is no need for subtraction procedure as in the most conventional angiographic methods. Experimental results for a phantom and a normal volunteer with KAIS 2.0 Tesla MRI system are shown.

  • The effect of mixture component makes a nelay time and a long total combustion period $\tau_{p\;max}$. The flame propagation delay $\tau_{df}$ was determined by the record of current ion. The pressure release delay $\tau_{dp}$ and $\tau_{p\;max}$ were determined by the indicated pressure diagram in constant volume of the combustion chamber. The results are as follows: 1) The ignition delay $\tau_t$ time takes the minimum value around $\Phi=1.15$. 2) $\tau_{df}$ and $\tau_t$ time increased according to the increases of the concentrated dilution gases, because the adiabatic flame temperature decreased due to the increases of the heat capacity. But dilution gases have little effect on flame nucleus formation delay 3) The relation between $\tau_t$ time and reciprocal laminar burning velocity is almost linear. 4) The increase of the propagation length is accompanied with increased ratio of the $\tau_{df},\;\tau_{dp},\;\tau_{t},\;\tau_{p\;max}$.

  • As a by-product of [5], we produce algebraic integers of certain values of quotients of Eisenstein series. And we consider the relation of $\Theta_3(0,\tau)$ and $\Theta_3(0,\tau^n)$. That is,we show that $$\mid$\Theta_3(0,\tau^n)$\mid$=$\mid$\Theta_3(0,\tau)$\mid$,\bigtriangleup(0,\tau)=\bigtriangleup(0,\tau^n)$ and $J(\tau)=J(\tau^n)$ for some $\tau\in\eta$.
