The statistical approach to quality control aims at alerting its user to any variations in the properties of a manufactured product. Motorola developed and pursued a quality management program called six sigma. The goal of six sigma programs is to improve customer satisfaction through reducing and eliminating defects. six sigma uses several statistical measure to characterize defect levels and process capabilities. The upper and lower specification limits are $\pm6\sigma$(sigma) from nominal, and the process mean is centered at nominal. only 0.002PPM are outside specification limits. Cp=2. this is the design target in a six sigma program. This article presents an important tool available for quality control of a production process at the occurrence of defects in manufactured products at view low levels to improve the efficiency of the manufacturing productivity and to satisfy customer through the reduction of defect rates. To understand the consequences of the level of quality on competitive position, a more technical perspective is needed.

In this paper, we investigate the various opportunities of women informatization, which we believe to be major contributors for the high quality of life for women. We first justify various efforts for women informatization, which needs to be based on the analysis of the problems and the status quo. We have also examined the related government policies and programs as well as the programs of non-profit organizations for woman, and identified key problems areas. Integrating the results from this analysis, we have developed the vision and the framework for women informatization. We also give a list of strategic alternatives for improving quality of life through informatization, and promoting full-time housewives to become aggressive information users, information producers and information specialists. We use the expert Delphi method and fish-bone chart analysis to generate the priorities of specific tasks and target-based strategies for successful implementation of women informatization. We conclude this paper with various recommendations for empowering women to enjoy high-quality living through the process of informatization.

This study investigates the relationships of total quality management (TQM), organizational learning (OL) activities and business performance and examines the partial mediation effect of OL activities on business performance in Korean industrial manufacturing setting. Main target sample firms were all manufacturing companies listed in the Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) and 206 firms participated. This study theoretically develops a conceptual model with 3 hypotheses regarding how TQM practices influence OL activities and how the OL activities partially mediate between the TQM practices and business performance. To examine these hypotheses, Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was employed and an alternative model which includes a path between errors of leadership factor and OL construct was developed. The findings are TQM practices cannot directly influence business performance but indirectly impact business performance through OL activities. This study found that OL activities playa role as firms' critical competency to improve business performance.

This subject,'S" apartment structural frame has not been achieved without considerable effort by all quality controller involved. Therefore, it is appropriate at this time to report by all the fact of concrete quality control in our site. These are emphasized that the average strength of placed concrete must always exceed the specified value of design strength used in the structural design phase. In general, quality of ready mixed concrete largely depends not only upon the manner of production and proper observance of recognized methods of placement, finishing, curing, transportation etc. ,but also many kinds of influential factors even more handling of the test procedure, As this practical report, approaching to judgement by analysis of sampled specimens in site weather placed concrete have satisfied quality compare the specified strength with the target strength which is applied to standard deviation related with influential factors as above mentioned. This case study is consist of 1) A foreword, 2) Site brief, 3) A precondition for analysis, 4) A formulas derivation and quality analysis, 5) Economic gains by the coefRcient of increase and 6) A conclusion.sion.

Recently, Super-Super-Market(SSM) is facing more and more difficult situation due to the expansion of hypermarket and target marketing of specialized shop. In this situation, Customer Satisfaction Management(CSM) is emerging as a core business factor to make continuous growth without competitive exclusion. Especially, the first factor in CSM in distribution industry is a Service Quality Satisfaction. In this paper, with a selection of 3-markets as a sample for the research, I have tried to look for necessary Service Quality(SQ) factors in SSM and deduced Service Quality Index(SQI), loyalty and Index of detail factor in SQ through survey. Based on these results, strategic factors required to improve SQ was found and strategic directions for SQ were proposed through matrix portfolio analysis.

For quality improvement, Taguchi emphasizes the reduction of variation of the quality characteristic, Taguchi has used the signal-to-noise ratios for achieving minimum dispersion of the quality characteristic with its location adjusted to some desired target value ${\tau}$ Lim(1994) proposes a reasonable SN ratio based on a linking relationship of the variance and mean through simple data analysis technique. In this paper we investigate the efficiency of those two SN ratios and variance stabilizing transformations through Monte Carlo Simulations.

This paper investigated the possibility of quality restoration of deteriorated concrete caused by long distance delivery using chemical admixtures such as superplasticizer. AE agent and retarding agent. According to test results, long distance delivery lead to reducing fluidity and air content markedly, while setting time accelerated. Quality restoration agent(QRA) was made by combining super- plasticizer. AE agent and retarding agent with the proportion of 1:0.0025:0.1. It was confirmed that deteriorated concrete achieved quality restoration with the level of target slump, air content and setting time without strength loss when using QRA with proper amount.

For quality improvement, it is important to reduce variations of the quality characteristic. That can be achieved by the a, pp.ication of parameter design methodology to make the performance of the quality characteristic robust over the variety of noise conditions. Taguchi has used the signal-to-noise ratios for that purpose. For the static target characteristic and the dynamic characteristic problem, we propose a reasonable generalized SN ratio and p-value plot for identifying dispersion factors. The orginal idea of the p-value plot in from the gamma-plot in Lunani, Nair & Wasserman(1995). The graphic advantage of the p-value polt for identifying dispersion factors is illustrated through constructed examples.

Background : The purpose of this study is to provide the basic data. Elderly cognitive identify the difference between dynamic balance and quality of life according to the performance level of the clinical exercise therapy and cognitive training. Methods : This study was conducted to collect data from October 17th in 2011 until October 28th, to target seniors who living in Yong-in, Gyeonggi-do. Results : The results of the statistical analysis according to the cognitive ability to function. Higher cognitive functions, the dynamic balance ability was higher, and higher quality of life. Also showed that the dynamic balance ability and a high quality of life to the higher cognitive functions(p<.05). Conclusion : For the maintenance and promotion of cognitive function in the elderly, physical therapy approach seems to improve the quality of life and still plays an important role, as well as the promotion of dynamic balance ability. Therefore, to improve cognitive function is thought to be the appropriate intervention methods and approaches to be developed.

Process capability indices are widely used in industries and quality assurance system. When designing the parameter on the multiple quality characteristics, there has been a study for optimization of problems, but there has been few former study on the possible conflicting phenomena in considertion of the correlations among the characteristics. To solve the issue on the optimal design for muliple quality characteristics, the study propose the expected loss function with cross-product terms among the characteristics and derived range of the coefficients of terms. Therefore, the analysis have to be required a multivariate statistical technique. This paper introduces to multivariate capability indices and then selects a multivariate process capability index incorporated both the process variation and the process deviation from target among these indices under the multivariate normal distribution. We propose a new multivariate capability index $MC_{pm}^{++}$ using quality loss function instead of the process variation and this index is compared with the proposed indices when quality characteristics are independent and dependent of each other,
