밀도지수와 어획량으로서 수산자원의 가입량을 근사적으로 추정하는 방법 (APPROXIMATE ESTIMATION OF RECRUITMENT IN FISH POPULATION UTILIZING STOCK DENSITY AND CATCH)

  • 자원해석은 일반적으로 시계열적 견지에 입각하고 있으나, 본 연구에서는 단면적인 견지에서, 2년간의 자원변동을 극수적인 관계에서 파악하여 자원해석을 하였으며, 이것으로 각년의 가입량을 추정하는 방법 시도하였다. 이를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 단일 population에 있어서 t 시기(년 또는 어기)와 t+1 시기와의 초기자원량(미수)의 관계는 $N_{0,\;t+1}=N_{0,\;t}(1-m_t)-C_t+R_{t+1}$ 단, $N_0$ : 초기자원량 (미수), C : 어획미수, R : 가입미수, m : 자연사망률 이다. 위의 식에서 다음의 관계가 성립된다. $\phi_{t+1}=\frac{(1-\varrho^{-z}{t+1})Z_t}{(1-\varrho^{-z}t)Z_{t+1}}-\frac{1-\varrho^{-z}t+1}{Z_{t+1}}\phi_t-a'\frac{1-\varrho^{-z}t+1}{Z_{t+1}}C_t+a'\frac{1-\varrho^{-z}t+1}{Z_{t+1}}R_{t+1}$ 단, $\phi$ : 밀도지수, M : 자연사망계수, Z : 감소계수, a' : 평균자원량에 대한 밀도지수 이 식에서 $\phi$$C_t$를 독립변수, $\phi_{t+1}$를 종속변수라해서 중회귀분석하여 $\phi_t$$C_t$ 의 각 계수를 구하고, 이 각 계수로서 저연사망계수 M, 단위노력당 어획계수 a'을 구하여 t+1연의 가입량추정치 $\hat{R}_{t+1}$를 구할 수 있다. 중회귀분석하는 데 있어서는 $R_{t+1}$이 거의, 같으며 $X_{t+1}$에 심한 차이가 없는 시기를 선정하여 취급할 수 있다. 2. 각 시기의 추정된 가입량은 가입량의 상대치로서 인정하는 것이 안전하다. 3. 밀도지수 대신으로 자원량지수를 사용하여도 같은 추정방법으로 가입량이 추정된다. 단, 어장면적을 고려해야 한다. 4. 변동관계를 미수로서 취급할 때는 이론적으로 가입량의 절대치를 구할 수 있으나, 중량으로 취급할 때는 이론적으로 가입량의 상대치를 구하게 된다. 그러나 어느 경우나 같은 추정방법이 적용된다. 5. 인도양의 bigeye tuna에 대하여 수전(1970)의 자료를 이용하여 본 추정방법에 적용시켜 보았다. 수전(1970)가 구한 M,q(단위노력당 어획계수)로서 계산된 각년의 가입량의 변화와 본연구에서 구한 각년의 가입량의 변화와는 극히 비례적이었다(Table 2, Fig.2). 6. 한국동안의 꽁치에 있어서 해황어황 주간예보 ($1964.3\~1974.8$ : 국립수산진흥원 포항지원)의 자료를 이용하여 어느 해의 춘하기의 밀도지수와 그해의 추동기의 밀도지수와의 관계에서 각년의 추기의 가입량을 추정하고 어느 해의 추동기의 밀도지수와 다음해의 춘하기의 밀도지수와의 관계에서 각년의 춘하기의 가입량을 추정하였다(Table4, Fig.5, Fig.7). 그 결과, 년금의 폭이 좁은 이 꽁치 군단에 있어서 각년의 밀도지수와 가입량이 상당히 비례적이었다.

Pressure Analyses at the Planar Surface of Liquid-Vapor Argon by a Test-Area Molecular Dynamics Simulation

  • Pressure tensors at the planar surface of liquid-vapor argon are evaluated from the virial theorem, Irving-Kirkwood, and Harasima versions using a test-area molecular dynamics simulation method through a Lennard-Jones intermolecular potential at two temperatures. We found that the normal and transverse components of the pressure tensor, $p_N(z)$ and $p_T(z)$, obtained from the virial theorem and Harasima version are essentially the same. The normal component of the pressure tensor from Irving-Kirkwood version, $p_N^{IK}(z)$, is shown to be a nearly constant at the lower temperature, independent of z, as agreed in a previous study, but not for $p_N^H$(z), while the transverse components, $p_T^{IK}(z)$ and $p_T^H(z)$, are almost the same. The values of surface tension for both versions computed from $p_N(z)-p_T(z)$ are also the same and are fully consistent with the experimental data.

Suppose that V has an isolated singular point at the origin. Recall that the z-discriminant of f is D(f)=c(p$^{n}$ -q$^{n-1}$) for some number c. Suppose that D(f) is square-free. then we prove that by Theorem 2.1 .mu.(p$^{n}$ -q$^{n-1}$)=.mu.(f)-(n-1)+n(n-2)I(p,q)+1 where .mu.(f), .mu. p$^{n}$ -q$^{n-1}$are the corresponding Milnor numbers of f, p$^{n}$ -q$^{n-1}$, respectively and I(p,q) is the intersection number of p and q at the origin. By one of applications suppose that W$_{t}$ ={(x,y,z):g$_{t}$ =z$^{n}$ -np$_{t}$ $^{n-1}$z+(n-1)q$_{t}$ $^{n-1}$=0} is a smooth family of complex analytic varieties near t=0 each of which has an isolated singularity at the origin, satisfying that the z-discriminant of g$_{t}$ , that is, D(g$_{t}$ ) is square-free. If .mu.(g$_{t}$ ) are constant near t=0, then we prove that the family of plane curves, D(g$_{t}$ ) are equisingular and also D(f$_{t}$ ) are equisingular near t=0 where f$_{t}$ =z$^{n}$ -np$_{t}$ z+(n-1)q$_{t}$ =0.}$ =0.

지글러-니콜스 제어파라미터 조정법(1),(2)의 상호 연관성에 대한 해석적 연구 (An Analytic Study On the Mutual Relation between Method(1) and (2) of ZIEGLER-NICHOLS Control Parameter Tuning)

  • Parameter tuning methods by Ziegler-Nickels for control systems are generally classified into Z-N(1) and Z-N(2). The purpose of this paper is to describe what relations exist between methods of Z-N(1) and Z-N(2), or how Z-N(1) method can be originated from Z-N(2) method by analyzing one loop control system of P or PI controller and time delay process. The formulas of Z-N(1) consist of process parameters, L(time delay), $K_m$(gain) and $T_m$(time constant), but Z-N(2) method is based only on the ultimate gain $K_u$ and the ultimate period $T_u$ acquired normally by practical trial without any parameters of Z-N(1). In this paper, for the first step to seek mutual relations, the simple formulas of Z-N(2) are transformed into the formulas composed of the same parameters as Z-N(1) which is derived from the analysis of frequency characteristics. Then, the approximation of the actual ultimate frequency is proposed as important premise in the translation between Z-N(1) and (2). Such equalization and approximation brings a simple approximated formula which can explain how Z-N(1) is originated from the Z-N(2) in the form of formula. And a model system is adopted to compare the approximated formula to Z-N(1) and Z-N(2) methods, the results of which show the effectiveness of the proposals.

어획대상 어류의 생잔율 추정 -한국 연안의 고등어, 전갱이- (Estimation of the Survival Rate in Fish Population -Mackerel and Horse Mackerel in the Coastal Waters of Korea-)

  • 어획대상 자원에 있어서 감소계수를 z, 완전가입 년령을 a, 최고년령을 b라 할 때 체장조성과 성장곡선식을 이용해서 감소계수 z를 구하는 수학적 모형을 설정하여 고등어와 전갱이의 생잔율을 추도한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 평균년령을 $U_t$라 하면 a, b, z 및 $U_t$의 관계식은 $$U_t=\frac{a-b ex p[-z(b-a)]}{1-ex p[-z(b-a)]}+\frac{1}{z}$$이다. 2. 성장곡선식을 사용하여 체장조성표의 각 체장계급에 해당하는 년령을 추정하고 전계급에 걸친 평균년령을 계산하였다. 3. $U_t$값을 a, b, z 및 $U_t$와의 관계식에 대입하여 감소계수 z값을 구하고 생잔율 exp(-z) 값을 구하였다. 4. 한국 연안 (제1해구)산 고등어와 전갱이의 감소계수, 생잔율 및 생잔율의 $95\%$ 신뢰구간을 계산한 결과는 고등어가 0.87909, 0.41516, 0.35966-0.47264 전갱이가 2.22327, 0.10825, 0.06897-0.14974이었다.

Predicting Scour at Bridge Piers

  • A new method called SRICOS is proposed to predict the scour depth z versus time t around a cylindrical bridge pier of diameter D founded in clay. The steps involved are ; 1. taking samples at the bridge pier site, 2. testing them in an Erosion Function Apparatus called the EFA to obtain the scour rate z versus the hydraulic shear stress applied $\tau$, 3. predicting the maximum shear stress r max which will be induced around the pier by the water flowing at ν Ο before the scour hole starts to develop, 4. using the measured z versus r curve to obtain the initial scour rate zi corresponding to r max , 5. predicting the maximum depth of scour zmax for the pier, 6. using zi and zmarx to develop the hyperbolic function describing the scour depth z versus time t curve, and 7. reading the z vs. t curve at a time corresponding to the duration of the flood to find the scour depth which will develop around the pier. A new apparatus is developed to measure the z vs t curve of step 2, a series of advanced numerical simulations are performed to develop an equation for the $\tau$ max value of step 3, and a series of flume tests are performed to develop an equation for the zmax value of step 5. The method is evaluated by comparing predictions and measurements in 42 flume experiments.

t-z 방법을 이용한 말뚝기초 설계기준별 비교분석 (Analyses of Widely Used Design Codes for Pile Foundation Using the t-z Method)

  • 현장재하시험결과를 이용하여 현재 우리나라를 비롯한 많은 나라에서 사용하고 있는 말뚝기초 설계기준에 대한 효율성을 분석하였다. 문헌조사를 통해 12개의 현장타설말뚝 및 매입말뚝 재하시험자료를 수집하였으며 이를 t-z 방법으로 분석하였다. 재하시험결과로부터 각 설계기준에서 제시하고 있는 (1) Davisson 방법, (2) 말뚝직경의 5% 또는 10%의 침하가 발생하는 하중을 이용하여 극한지지력을 평가하였다. 또한, 미국, 캐나다, 유럽, 그리고 일본의 설계기준에서 각각 제시한 방법을 이용하여 현장타설말뚝과 매입말뚝의 극한 지지력을 계산하였다. 재하시험에서 분석된 극한 지지력과 설계기준에 의해 계산된 극한 지지력을 비교한 결과, 대부분의 설계기준은 말뚝기초의 극한지지력을 보수적으로 예측하는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 일부 설계기준은 현장타설말뚝의 지지력을 과대평가하는 것으로 나타나 일부 설계기준은 적용 시 주의를 요하는 것으로 분석되었다. 또한, 본 연구는 t-z 방법을 이용하여 말뚝기초의 극한 지지력 및 하중전이 관계를 성공적으로 예측할 수 있음을 알 수 있었다.

The Advanced z-Transform and Analysis of Sampled-Data Systems

  • The z-transform method is a basic mathematical tool in analyzing and designing sampled-data control systems. However, since the z-transform method relates only the sampling-instants signals, another mathematical tool is necessary to describe the continous signals between the sampling instants. For this purpose the delayed and the modi fled z-transform methods were developed. The definition of the modi fled z-transform includes a sample in the interval [-T,0] of the original signal in its series expression, where the signal value is always zero for any physical system. From this reason one step skew of the time index always appears in its application formulas. This introduces an unnecessary operation and a gap in linking the mathematical formula and its physical interpretation. Considering the conceptual difficulty and application inconvenience, a method of using the advanced z-transform in analysis of sampled-data control systems is developed as a replacement of the modi fled z-transform. With one formulation of the advanced z-transform, now it is possible to relate both the signals of the sampling instants and those in between without any complication and conceptual difficulty.

  • The present work aims to analyzed the transient thermoelastic stress analysis of a thin circular plate with uniform internal heat generation. Initially, the plate is characterized by a parabolic temperature distribution along the z-direction given by T = T0(r, z) and perfectly insulated at the ends z = 0 and z = h. For times t > 0, the surface r = a is subjected to convection heat transfer with convection coefficient hc and fluid temperature T. The integral transform method used to obtain the analytical solution for temperature, displacement, and thermal stresses. The associated thermoelastic field is analyzed by making use of the temperature and thermoelastic displacement potential function. Numerical results are carried out with the help of computational software PTC Mathcad Prime-3.1 and shown in figures.

A New Directional Coupler Type Partial Discharge Sensor Installed on the Power Lead of Rotating Machine

  • For on-line partial discharge (PD) monitoring of rotating machines, a novel sensor is proposed, which can be installed on the power lead inside the terminal box of the machine. The sensor has been designed to have high capacitance, and minimal reflection of measured pulses. As a sensitivity of the sensor, transfer impedance $Z_t$ has been measured and compared to conventional coupler-type sensors. A simple method is presented for measuring $Z_t$ of coupler sensors, using a vector network analyzer and a practical lead-cable of rotating machine. Through this method, it became possible to measure the $Z_t$ of coupler sensors including the installation environment of them. The $Z_t$ of the proposed sensor is higher than that of same sized other conventional couplers at frequencies between 30 and 92 MHz. Another sensitivity test has been performed using a PD calibrator as a test pulse source. The proposed sensor has higher measured peak voltage than the conventional coupler type sensors when the same charges were input.
