An Analysis on the Features and Effect of University Research Organization Support Programs

  • The Korean government's support towards the establishment of leading research hubs at universities began with the initiation of the Science/ Engineering Research Center in 1990. Such efforts to provide support to research organizations have continued for some twenty years in various forms, which implies that building research hubs was critical in acquiring global leadership in research. However, the effect of such research hub nurturing policies has never been properly evaluated, apart from an assessment of their validity. Therefore, this paper analyzes how major programs to form research groups by providing assistance to joint research by researchers at universities are operated, and the characteristics of such programs through comparative analysis with other programs. There are two major focal points in the analysis: the first is the evaluation of the level of differentiation between Research Organization Support Programs (ROP) and other R&D Programs from an efficiency perspective, and the second is an examination of the extent of systematization of research organizations that exist at universities and impact of Research Organization Support Programs on the activities of participating professors from an effectiveness perspective. The result showed that the ROP were no longer only relevant for the formation and maintenance of research groups. Other R&D Programs are growing increasingly larger in scale and conducted over longer periods of time. Thus, the ROP can no longer be differentiated from other programs in research period and size of funding. An analysis on the effect of ROP demonstrated that all activities by participating professors in organizations that were the beneficiaries of group research assistance were more active compared to their counterparts in organizations that received other research support, but there was little difference in the elements of systematization. This implies that the joint research conducted at universities is not systematized and that it is still research based on individual themes but conducted jointly. In addition, it also means that the ROP is failing to effectively lead the systematization of research. In other words, today, university research organizations are not operated as independent, long-term bodies, but are more relevant as a combination of research units of individual professors.

영세 소상공인 조직화에 대한 직능업종별 차이분석과 경영성과 (An Analysis of the Differences in Management Performance by Business Categories from the Perspective of Small Business Systematization)

  • 본 연구는 국내사업체 수에서 87.9% 이상을 차지하고 있는 소상공인들의 직능업종별 조직화에 대한 실증적 연구이다. 연구문제의 검증을 위하여 직능단체의 조직화를 국내 상황에 적합하도록 도소매직능, 음식숙박직능, 개인서비스직능의 세 가지 형태로 구분하여 실증적인 분석을 시도하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 조직화 참여동기에서 인력구인난에 대한 반응은 음식직능이 가장 높은 것으로 나타났다. 외부경쟁심화와 자금압박으로 인한 반응은 개인 서비스 직능이 가장 높게 나타났다. 이를 통하여 업종별 직능별로 경영애로사항과 조직화 참여동기에는 차이가 존재함이 새롭게 밝혀졌다. 둘째, 조직화 기대치의 경영공정 개선분야에서는 음식직능이, 단순한 최종성과 개선만을 기대하는 분야에서는 소매직능이 가장 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 소상공인 직능별 조직화요인과 경영성과에 대한 분석에서는 참여동기는 소상공인의 재무적인 경영성과에 부(-)의 영향을 주고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 반대로 조직화 기대치와 정책수요는 경영성과에 직접적인 정(+)의 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과가 의미하는 바는, 향후 정부에서는 직능단체별로 맞춤형 중장기 경영전략을 수립하여야 하는 필요성과 더불어, 현재 소상공인 조직화는 일천한 상황에 있지만, 최종적으로 창업 성공과 창업 실패를 구분하는 분기점이 된다는 점을 밝혀주었다.

농업.농촌의 미래발전모델 연구 (A Study on Developing Model of Agriculture in Korea)

  • We need fundamental plan to develop Environment-friendly agriculture which has essential effect to agriculture and rural community. It should be avoided the structural problem that the farming corporations has gone through in present. Firstly, it needs to be systematized and constructed farming complex for the priority. The government initiated Environment-friendly agriculture business and expanded agriculture business as the part of the policy. There are some researches which have been studied the systematization and the construction of farming complex. It is suggested and mentioned various kinds of policies and directions so far. But, it is not mentioned any practical models. That means it seems to be various differences between each farming corporations in the structural cases. This research suggests the most optimized model of Environment-friendly agriculture by analyzing structural differences between 'Natur' farming Corp and 'Sancheong-gun' expanded Environment-friendly farming complex.

팀 리더의 퍼실리테이션 역량이 팀 효과성에 미치는 영향: 공유리더십의 매개효과 (The Effect of Team Leader's Facilitation Competency on the Team Effectiveness: Mediating Effects of the Shared Leadership)

  • 본 연구는 팀 리더의 퍼실리테이션 역량과 팀 효과성의 관계에서 공유리더십의 매개효과를 검증하고자 했고, 이를 위해 팀제를 운영하는 조직의 구성원 377명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 26.0을 이용해 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 첫째, 팀 리더의 퍼실리테이션 역량의 하위요인인 커뮤니케이션 및 참여 분위기 조성은 팀 효과성(팀 성과, 팀 몰입)에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미쳤으며, 과업 및 조직화는 팀 몰입에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 팀 리더의 퍼실리테이션 역량의 커뮤니케이션 및 참여 분위기 조성, 과업 및 조직화 모두 공유 리더십에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 공유리더십은 팀 효과성(팀 성과, 팀 몰입)에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미쳤다. 마지막으로 공유리더십은 팀 리더의 퍼실리테이션 역량과 팀 효과성의 관계에서 부분매개효과가 있음이 확인됐다. 본 연구는 팀 리더의 퍼실리테이션 역량과 다른 변인들 간의 관계를 규명함으로써 퍼실리테이션 연구를 이론적으로 확장하고, 현대 조직에서 요구하는 리더와 구성원의 역할과 역량에 대한 방향을 제안하여 실무적 시사점을 제시하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

Foundation of Management Innovation and a Success Model of Micro Enterprise by Increasing Entrepreneurship and Organization Relationship Analysis

  • After the rapidly changing business management environment and financial crisis, high prices and domestic recession in Korea posed threats to the business survival of small and medium enterprises (SMEs). This paper looks at the potential of micro business owners for sustainable development: those who have a spirit of entrepreneurship and the potential to be a hidden champion. Our study of micro business values uses structure equation modeling by LISREL. We have done so in order to understand the foundation of management innovation and success model of micro enterprise by increasing the entrepreneurship and management performance relationship analysis. A micro-enterprise is a type of small business, found only in Korea, often registered as having ten or fewer employees. We examine the successful type of hidden champions and the influence of entrepreneurship on start-ups in business. As compared to past research on the SME entrepreneurship, this study segments small businesses even further. Small business entrepreneurship was classified into three forms that are most appropriate for the Korean situation today: innovation, risk-taking, and pro-activeness. This research is meaningful as it is Korea's first empirical analysis on four business types: wholesale and retail sales, food and lodging business, service business, and manufacturing business. Thus far, research on small business entrepreneurship was carried out using small-scale investigative analysis. However, this research attempted to develop a model that can explain a cause-effect relation of the motivational level when it comes to the difference of entrepreneurship by each business type and small business start-up success factors. Various conceptual and operational definitions could be developed in a diverse and precise manner. Independent variables that are related to the success of small businesses can be developed additionally to examine the success factors related to the systematization in detailed manner. The research showed that the innovation, risk-taking and pro-activeness of the manifested difference in the degree of perception depending on the type of small businesses. Among the four business types, the ones that manifested the highest successful start-up rates were food, service, wholesale and retail sales and manufacturing. Results after conducting the regression analysis are shown on, which proves that the small business entrepreneurship exerts direct effect on the financial management performance of small businesses. In other words, small business entrepreneurship exerts a positive effect on the small business financial success and management performance. The R2 value is 0.61. It is possible to know that the perception of systematization and variables on attitude explains the 61% of the success for small self-employed businesses management performance. We define start-up key factors that are helpful to achieve internal growth of firms by finding business survival strategies. The results also focus on Korean government policy for micro enterprise and small business support.

영아기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 양육지식, 양육스트레스, 양육행동간의 종단적 관계 (The Longitudinal Relationship between Parenting Knowledge, Parenting Stress, and Parenting Behavior of Mothers with Infants)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to analyze the causal relationship between parenting knowledge, parenting stress, and parenting behavior of mothers with infants and to confirm the longitudinal mediating effect of parenting stress in the relationship between parenting knowledge and parenting behavior. Methods: This study used data collected through the Panel Study on Korean Children from 2008 to 2010 and the participants were 1,444 mothers with infants. The data were analyzed through technical statistics, correlations and multivariate potential growth models using SPSS 28.0 and AMOS 26.0. Results: Parenting knowledge and parenting stress of mothers gradually increased, and positive parenting behavior gradually decreased. Having a lot of parenting knowledge reduced mother's parenting stress. Mother's parenting stress reduced positive parenting behavior, and as parenting stress increased, positive parenting behavior decreased significantly. However, the relationship between parenting knowledge and parenting behavior was not significant. In addition, the mediating effect of parenting stress was confirmed in the relationship between parenting knowledge and parenting behavior of mothers. Conclusion/Implications: The results of this study suggest the need to reduce parenting stress and promote positive parenting behavior along with the systematization of parent education programs in order for mothers with infants to acquire parenting knowledge.

The Mediating Role of Psychological Empowerment between Leadership and Motivation for Retail Store Workers

  • Purpose: This study aims to fill the existing gap in the existing literature by investigating the mediating effect of psychological empowerment between leadership and motivation for workers at retail stores, and to extend the previous research to determine the preferences of the researchers and practitioners in leadership and employee motivation in retail through a systematic approach. Research design, data and methodology: This study used a systematic approach to the mediation effect of psychological empowerment on the relationship between leadership and employee motivation in retail stores. To ensure completeness, systematization, and transparency, the preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) approach was applied. Results: The research findings (Total Four Mediating Roles) suggest that psychological empowerment may mediate between leadership and employee motivation. These mediation roles (Empowering Leadership Styles, Organizational Culture and Psychological Empowerment, Customer Psychological Empowerment, and High-Performance Work Systems (HPWS) and Psychological Empowerment) will help practitioners comprehend how these empowerment and motivation leadership styles are interconnected in the retail industry. Conclusions: The research results indicate that psychological empowerment is essential for employee motivation in the retail sector. Through this knowledge, retail store managers can implement strategies designed to empower employees and create a motivated workforce, bolstering organizational effectiveness.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide the contents and effective methods of educational program for human resource development focused on the full-time housewives. For this purpose the case interviewed with 24 professionals and management leaders of women education field are performed and 445 questionares from full time housewives who participate in at least one education program are analyzed. The findings of this study are followed. 1. The most preferred programs are sports/health program(28.8%), leisure program(26.5%), household income management program(15.9%), culture/arts program(15.2%) in percentage order. And the first preferred motivation of participation in the programs is the self development(38.4%). 2. The positive effect of program is founded more with participants in family oriented program and society oriented program than in individual oriented program. And the satisfaction degree of participants in family oriented program is higher than in individual/society oriented program. 3. The degree of demands for Program management and program characteristics is higher than the demands for program installations and program supplying methods. 4. In the area of effectiveness methods the demands for program systematization according to program level are most referred.

수학 교수-학습에서의 동양 수학사 활용에 관한 연구 (A Study on The Application of Oriental History of Mathematics in School mathematics)

  • In this study, we investigated the application of oriental history of mathematics in school mathematics teaching. We set up three study problems to achieve this purpose. First, we analyze the middle and high school mathematics textbooks and auxiliary books. Second, we survey the mathematics teacher's knowledge and degree of application on history of mathematics. Third, we develop the teaching and learning materials on oriental history of mathematics. We performed three study-methods to settle above study problem. First, we analyzed 24 textbooks and auxiliary books for study problem 1. There were 6 middle school mathematics textbooks and 6 auxiliary books and also 6 high school mathematics textbooks and 6 auxiliary books. We categorized the contents into "anecdote", "systematization", "application of problem", "expansibility of thought", and "comparative of the contents". Second, we surveyed the 78 mathematics teachers's knowledge and degree of application using questionnaire about knowledge and application on history of mathematics. The questionnaire was made up of four types of question; the effect of material about history of mathematics, the understanding of western history of mathematics, the understanding of oriental history of mathematics; the direction of development of teaching material. Third, we exemplified the teaching and learning materials about three categories: "anecdote", "comparative of the contents".

한국 소상공인의 조직화 정책모델 개발을 위한 자영업 사업자들의 조직인지, 조직효과, 경영성과 상호관계에 관한 실증적 연구 : 군집분석을 이용한 접근 (A Study on Recognition, Effect, Performance Research and Policy Support Model for Korean Small Businessman's Systematization)

  • 본 연구는 국내사업체 수에서 87.9% 이상을 차지하고 있는 소상공인들의 창업과 경영애로 분야에서 가장 시너지효과가 크다고 보여지는 소상공인 조직화부분에 대하여 실증적 연구를 실시하였다. 본연구은 소상공인 조직화를 위하여 소상공인 조직화를 프랜차이즈, 공동브랜드, 업종별 협회, 시 군 구에 등록된 상인회로 구분하였다. 소상공인들의 내적인 면에서 경영전략 선정에 있어서 어떠한 가치관을 가지는 지에 대하여 국내 최초로 군집분석에 의한 실증적인 분석을 시도하였다. 연구결과 소상공인의 인구통계적인 유형에서 성별, 학력, 연령, 업종별로 유의한 조직화 인지와 조직화 효과 그리고 최종적인 경영성과에 차이가 있음을 밝혀냈다. 또한 소상공인들이 경영전략 가치관에 대하여 군집분석을 실시한 결과 가격경쟁지향과 마케팅경쟁지향, 무개념 경영등 3가지 유형의 프로파일을 도출할 수 있었다. 이러한 소상공인 조직화에 대한 프로파일 도출과 조직화 인식도에 따른 경영 성공과 실패의 상호관계에 대한 연구 결과가 의미하는 바는, 향후 정부에서는 소상공인에 대하여 시설 개선과 현대화 사업 추진 못지않게 조직화 개발과 같은 조직관리에 대한 경영현대화 사업에 더욱 많은 노력을 경주하여야 하는 필요성을 밝혀 주었다.
