Despite the fact that school facilities are one of the most important public facilities, information about school facilities is not systematically managed. The purpose of this study was to investigate the direction of system construction to provide objective data on school facilities, which is the basic element of school facility policy. In this study, we propose a system construction method to improve the information management procedure of school facility information and school facilities, and suggest a system design direction for providing service that can be practically used.

Recently, Operators of Facilities perform Asset Management for extending life-cycle of Facilities. Moreover government recommend Asset Management for educational facilities through the statute as promotion law for educational facilities business, regulations of operating educational facilities business. Operators of Education Facilities also have recognized Asset concept of the educational facilities, and established and operated each systems. However, OO university isn't performing Asset Management efficiently because of absence of own structure system and Asset Management system. Therefore, this study analysed the present condition of Asset Management of OO university, and offered basic references that efficiently improve the present Asset Management and suggest not only the reasonable operation but also management organization.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the state-of-the-art solar energy system design cases among LEED(Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified school projects and to explore the feasibilities for their applications in domestic school design. Investigating the sold wattages in some kinds of buildings, the wattages per an educational facility is the second-largest after that per an industrial facility. That shows that our attention should be actively directed to the utilization of New and Renewable Energy in school facilities. Therefore photovoltaics systems, lighting systems and solarthermal facilities of solar energy systems were analyzed in the LEED cases. Findings demonstrate that applications of solar energy systems in K-12 educational facilities have been executed more than those in higher educational facilities. However, K-12 educational facilities and higher educational facilities by private funds are not categorized as Green Buildings by Support for Making Green Buildings Act. That fact is needed to be amended. Besides that, design developments are needed for building integrated photovoltaics systems and solarthermal facilities in domestic educational facilities.

The subject study was targeted towards nutrition teacher (dietitian) of elementary, middle, and high schools in Seoul areal. In addition, this study was to investigate the current status of school foodservice securement facilities & equipments and to analyze the obstructive factors for executing the HACCP system. The aim of this study was to provide base-line data so that a more efficient & effective sanitary management system for school foodservise can be settled in. All surveys were distributed and collected via email. A total of 305 survey papers were collected and out of these, 300 school results were analyzed and the results are as follows. The order of the securement facilities & equipment furnished were pre-handing equipments>washing>cooking>inspection>facilities>storage>space area>distribution equipments. The awareness of obstructive factors in executing the HACCP system was a total of 3.17 points and the order was as follows. The general obstructive factors>obstructive factors in the cooking staff executing the HACCP system>collaboration between the school/team leaders and the budget supporting department>obstructive factors in the nutrition teacher (dietitian) executing the HACCP system. School foodservice securement facilities & equipments in Seoul area must be renovated and modernized so as to improve its current situation. Furthermore, leadership programs are necessary to enhance nutritionists' understanding of the HACCP system and the cooking staff's competencies in instructing and supervising.

The recent trend has been consistently raised by the media of educational environment issues such as deteriorated existing school facilities, water-leaks due to the lack of proper maintenance and poor toilet facilities. For the efficient use of the budget to be used for maintenance of school facilities, an effort to extend the life of the facility to the max is needed. However, current maintenance system of school facilities is to deal with the defects after discovered, and consequently the durable period is shortened due to early deterioration of facilities and efficient budget execution cannot be realized. For this reason, the result emphasizes the need to improve maintenance management system of school facilities, and proposes a systematic bill of school facilities maintenance according to expert investigation and correlation analysis through school facilities maintenance-related information that is distributed to a number of laws.

Recently, with the advent of high risk infectious agent such as the Ebola virus, SARS, special research facilities dealing with such dangerous pathogenic are drawing attention gradually. Especially, this kind of facilities can be called BL4(Biosafety Level 4) facility. At the moment, Korean government is going to construct BL4 institute in order to handle efficiently such kind of pathogen. However, there are no proper design guidelines for BL4 facility. This paper proposes circulation system of BL4 facility on the basis of analysis of existing BL4 guidelines of Canada, and Korean BL3 facilities. The outcomes of this study are as follows. At first, functional areas of BL4 facilities have been divided into three categories according to the hazard level ; dangerous area, transitional area, and ordinary area. Secondly, circulation system of BL4 facility has been explored as a form of diagram according to the circulating subjects. These include human, laboratory animals, hazardous pathogen, equipments and cloth. This study has some limitations in that it lacks empirical evidences and concrete SOPs(Standard Operating Procedure). Despite of some weaknesses, it is expected to give some preliminary guidelines for the design of circulation system in BL4 facilities.

Recently, more electric power facilities have been miniaturized and it is noted that the facilities maintenance will be essential through operation optimization. In this paper we applied and examined the operation optimization of electric power facilities by applying Matrix system which can improve reliability to minimize outage and recover failure rapidly when blackouts happen at 25.8kV Gas Insulated Switchgear(GIS). The fundamental problem for facilities maintenance of GIS can happen due to indeterminable internal state in real time. Matrix optimization organizes action states in all containers which contain pressurized $SF_6$ Gas such as circuit breaker, disconnector switch, bus for utilizing them each area. Then, we connect it with power system to monitor and control internal state remotely in real time, and we can minimize blackout zone or outage. Considering above process, we improved stability of overall facilities.

An extensive range of pumping facilities are employed in the regional water supply system in metropolitan areas, and optimization and the systematic combination of the Pump facilities have direct bearing on the stability and economy of the water supply system concerned. These systems must be able to guarantee stability, efficiency and offer high reliability. Preparation of metropolitan area regional water supply system construction project must include a basic plan which takes into account the suitability of pumping facilities to be used, the environment in which facilities will be installed, man-power requirements and basic operational and management policies. This paper contains over-all analysis of the management of metropolitan area regional water supply systems as like Jayang, Paldang 1st pump station. In the study, it aims to prepare counterplan which will be operated and managed the pump upon the operational conditions and to suggest the proposal for water facilities codes to decides total head of pump in Korea.

The main objective of this research is to develop an experimental educational facility management information system that will be used for maintaining existing educational facilities in the elementary, junior high, and high schools. The development is based on the nationwide development plan of the education administration information system. The system developed is accomplished by use of Map-application Information System(MAPIS), an applied commercial software that combines Geographic Information System(GIS) with existing Information and Communication Technologies(ICT) such as Database system, Multimedia methodology, and Internet system. In order to figure out the features to be improved in the system developed, the research interviewed the educational facilities management in the Ministry of Education and P Local Education Authority. The authors suggest the functional improvement of the system based on the interview results.

This study aims to provide improvement directions of related laws system to protect U-City infrastructure facilities. For this, the study analyzes oversea infrastructure protection systems and domestic U-City laws system. Then, this indicates problems considering U-City infrastructure protection through Industrial-University-Institute experts' survey. Based on this survey, this study proposes improvement guideline of laws system to protect U-City infrastructure facilities, including enactment the Guideline of U-City Infrastructure Protection, obligation of U-City Infrastructure Protection, revision method of related laws system for protecting intelligent facilities, and Management System of U-City Infrastructure Facilities.
