  • From the past until now, political and economic relations among countries have been one of the most important issues among analysts and numerous studies have tried to analyze these relations from different theoretical perspectives. The dynamic system of games has introduced a new modeling method in the game theory. In this study, we use behavioral models (level- k) along with the dynamic system in games to model rational agent behavior. As an application, we study Russia- Norway economic and political relations (1970-2019). The dynamic system in games along with behavioral games theory can be used to predict the players behavior in the future.

  • Demand-side Management can be defined as'any utility activity aimed at modifying customers' use of energy to produce desired changes in the utility's load shape'. Customers benefit by being able to control energy costs and improve quality of life and become more productive. Utilities benefit from DSM's value as a resource that enhances asset utilization and reduces both fuel costs and environmental emissions. The scope of DSM includes load management through rate schedules and conservation by improving energy effciency and using electricity consumption effectively. This paper study the DSM resource evaluation and customer behavior analysis todesign the DSM Program plan in response to customer needs. We develop basic system dynamics model to analysis the customer behavior based on a survey research. The DSM Program participants in the Hi- efficiency Inverter, Electric motor and efficient lighting applicancies operating by Conservation program 2002 become the survey objects. DSM resource evaluation evaluate firstt the distribution potentialities of each machine and then forecast the degree of diffusion. We apply the system dynamic approach to simulate the dynamic DSM market situation at the domestic beginning. This model will give the energy Planner the opportunity to create different scenarios for DSM program planning. Also it will lead to increased understanding of the dynamic DSM market

  • In this paper we discuss the dynamic characteristics of the in-arm type hydropneumatic suspension unit(ISU). For this, two accurate models are introduced. The first one is the Benedict-Webb-Rubin equation which is adopted for the spring behavior of a real gas. This equation is applicable for the high pressure of the nitrogen gas which acts as a spring in ISU system. The second one describes the behavior of a damper, which is divided into four parts - jounce-loading, jounce-unloading, rebound-loading and rebound-unloading. This approach gives a good approximation of the real damper system. For the comparison purpose, the numerical results of the dynamic behavior of ISU system using a real gas and an ideal gas are given in the paper.

  • This paper investigates the dynamic behavior of a HDD spindle system due to the imperfect roundness of a rotating shaft. The shaft of a spindle motor rotates with eccentricity by the unbalanced mass of the rotating part. The eccentricity generates the run-out of a spindle motor which results in the eccentric motion of a rotating part. Roundness of a shaft affects this motion which limits the memory capacity of a HDD. This research proposes a modified Reynolds equation for the coupled journal and thrust FDBs to include the variable film thickness due to the roundness. Finite element method is used to solve the Reynolds equation for the pressure distribution. Reaction forces and friction torque are obtained by integrating the pressure and shear stress, respectively. The dynamic behavior is determined by solving the equations of a motion of a HDD spindle system in six degrees of freedom with the Runge-Kutta method to characterize the motion of a rotating part. This research shows that the roundness of a rotating shaft causes the excitation frequency with integer multiple of a rotating frequency.

  • All the loads in the real world are dynamic loads and structural optimization under dynamic loads is very difficult. Thus the dynamic loads are often transformed to static loads by dynamic factors, which are believed equivalent to the dynamic loads. However, due to the difference of load characteristics, there can be considerable differences between the results from static and dynamic analyses. When the natural frequency of a structure is high, the dynamic analysis result is similar to that of static analysis due to the small inertia effect on the behavior of the structure. However, if the natural frequency of the structure is low, the inertia effect should not be ignored. Then, the behavior of the dynamic system is different from that of the static system. The difference of the two cases can be explained from the relationship between the homogeneous and the particular solutions of the differential equation that governs the behavior of the structure. Through various examples, the difference between the dynamic analysis and the static analysis are shown. Also dynamic response optimization results are compared with the results with static loads transformed from dynamic loads by dynamic factors, which show the necessity of the design considering dynamic loads.

  • The purpose of this study is to predict the dynamic transmission error of the helical gear system. To do so, the equations of motion in the helical gear system which consists of motor, coupling, gear, torque sensor, and brake are derived. As the input parameters, the mass moment of inertia by a 3D CAD software and the equivalent stiffness of the bearings and shaft are calculated and the coupling stiffness is measured. The static transmission error as an excitation is calculated by in-house program. Dynamic transmission error is predicted by solving the equations of motion. Mode shape, the dynamic mesh force and the bearing force are also calculated. In this analysis, the relationship between the dynamic mesh force and the bearing force and mode shape behavior in gear mesh are checked. As a result, the magnitude of mesh force is highly related with the gear mesh behavior in mode shape. The finite element analysis is conducted to find out the natural frequency of gear system. The natural frequencies by finite element analysis have a good agreement with the results by equation of motion. Finally, dynamic transmission error is measured by the specially designed experiment and the results by equation of motion are validated.

  • This study describes a dynamic model of the hydroforming process which is used for precision forming of sheet metals. To help the controller design for the control of the forming pressure needed for this process as well as to investigate the effect of system parameters on the dynamic behavior, dynamic modeling is performed with emphasis on hydraulic servo system which actuates the forming machine. Since the model contains several unknown parameters, these were estimated via a least square parameter identification method. Based upon the identified model, a series of simulations were performed for various operating conditions. The results were compared with those of the experiments to verify the validity of the proposed model. The comparison study shows that the proposed dynamic model can describe dynamic behavior of the forming pressure of the hydroforming process to desirable accuracy.

  • This paper addresses the results of an experimental and analytical research of cylindrical coil spring subjected to dynamic behavior. Transfer functions are presented for both deflection and transmitted force as the output with force as the input. Steady state sinusoidal magnitude ratio and transmittance are plotted along with experimental data. It is shown that dynamic characteristic of cylindrical coil spring must be used to enhance the reability of vibration system dynamic behavior analysis in actuating over some frequency.

  • Recently, the high-tech industries, such as the aerospace industry, the auto industry, and the electronics industry, are growing up considerably. Because of that, high machining accuracy and productivity of precision parts have been required. The tooling system is important part in the machining center. HSK tooling system is more suitable than BT tooling system for that of high speed machining center. It is because static stiffness and machining accuracy of HSK tooling system are higher than those of BT tooling system. In this paper, static and dynamic behavior of the HSK tooling System is analyzed according to bearing characteristics and lightweight parts. In order that, three different models of the HSK tooling system are modelled by using a 3D modeling/design program. More stable one in the models of HSK tooling system can be selected by using the FEA(Finite Element Analysis).

  • In this paper, the results of an analysis of the dynamic behavior of the eddy current brake(ECB) system are presented. The measured irregularity of the track in Korean high speed line and the track irregularity given by ERRI(high level) were used for simulation. The wheel-rail profile combination were analyzed with different rail gauges. A model of the bogie with an substitute body for the carbody was implemented in the Multi-body-Simulation Program SIMPACK. The ECB frame was modelled both as flexible body and as rigid body. Four different driving conditions were analyzed. In this study dynamic behavior in general were performed to evaluate the design of eddy current brake system and specially the effect of damper was also studied. A comparison of simulations with and without damper shows that the damper have most effect for lower speed. The simulation results will be verified by comparison with measured data from on line test and also used for improving design.
