국내 내셔널 남성복 브랜드 로고의 특성 - 시각적 요소를 중심으로 - (Characteristics of Components in Domestic National Men's Wear Brand Logos - Focused on Visual Components -)

  • The purpose of this research is to study the visual characteristics of domestic national men's wear brand logos. For this purpose, 80 of national men's wear brands were selected from '2010/2011 Korea fashion brand Annual' For analysis, they were classified into three categories: logo types composed only with logomark or symbol and logomark together. Types of symbol were classified into word symbol, descriptive symbol, and abstractive symbol. And the used typefaces were classified into serif and san serif and acromatic and cromatic The results are as follows: The visual characteristics of domestic national men's wear brand logos, there were more brands that used logomark with symbol together than logomark only. And the type of symbols were appeared descriptive symbol(32% ) that meaned the men's power, nobleness and royalty. In domestic national men's wear brands, color of logos were more frequently used acromatic color as black and grey than cromatic color. Among the cromatic colors were more appeared to a kind of blue and green. And the used typefaces were the more frequently used to serif typeface of capital. As a result, the visual characteristics of domestic national men's wear brand logo were that they used the brand logos composed of descriptive logomark with symbol together, black serif typeface the most. From this results, we could find that visual stragety of domestic national men's wear brand logos had the tendency to emphasize the function of conveying information, brand concept that men's wear. The specific and continuous following research in which psychological factor of consumer reflected was requested as a measure to seek brand logo that aid to establish brand power and reinforce brand image.

병원 안전 심볼의 형태와 기억과의 관계 (Relationship between Hospital Safety Symbol Shapes and Memory)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the association between the shapes and colors of emergency exit symbols, magnetic field warning symbols, and radiation zone symbols used in hospitals for staff and patient safety and their effects on cognitive memory. The hippocampal region's signal intensity(SI) was analyzed using fMRI. The Symbol 2 (1.75±0.54) with a green background had the highest signal intensity (SI) for emergency exits, according to the findings. The black symbol 2 (1.60±0.51) with a yellow background had the highest signal intensity (SI) for the magnetic field warning symbol, followed by the black symbol 1 (1.59±0.65) with an orange background. The black symbol 2 (1.59±0.59) with a yellow background and the black symbol 3 (1.58±0.52) with an orange background had the low signal intensity with slight differences as for the radiation zone symbols. In conclusion, it was determined that the signal intensity of the black symbol with a yellow background was the highest in the magnetic field area and radiation area. This implies that symbols with a high signal intensity (SI) must be utilized intensively. To ensure that the correct meaning of the symbols is communicated in the future, they must also be utilized regularly and continually in disaster safety education.

  • 경험적 심미성(experimental aesthetics), Gestalt심리학, 그래픽디자인 및 심볼관련문헌에서는 많은 디자인 심미적 특성들이 심볼에 대한 감정적 반응(affective reactions)에 영향을 미치고있음을 알 수 있다. 그러나 불행하게도 이러한 디자인 문헌속에서는 디자인의 심미적 영향요소들이 인자(recognition), 친밀감(familiarity), 의미(meaning)에 어떻게 영향을 주는지에 대해서는 체계적인 연구가 이루어지지 모하고 있고 실증적으로 시험되지도 않고 있어 심볼 디자인에 대한 지침을 제공하지 못하고 있는 실정이다.(중략)

  • 디자인에 있어서 심미성은 경쟁요소로서의 중요한 역할을 담당하고 있다. 그 중요성은 경험적 심미학(experimental aesthetics), Gestalt심리학, 디자인 관련 문헌에서도 찾아볼 수 있다. 이러한 문헌에서는 심미성의 중요성 이외에도, 많은 심미적 영향요소들이 소비자 반응(인지적 반응, 감정적 반응, 의미일치)에 영향을 미치고 있음을 시사하고 있지만, 아직 그 연구는 미흡한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 어떠한 디자인이 소비자에게 잘 인지되고(사실적인지), 긍정적 감정반응을 주는지, 또한, 이러한 반응에는 어떤 심미적 영향 요소들이 작용하는지를 심볼디자인을 통해 파악, 이를 바탕으로 심볼은 어떻게 디자인할 것인가에 대한 지침을 제공하고자 하였다.

비동기식 N-심볼 연속 위상 주파수 변조 방식을 위한 비트 인터리브 된 부호화 변조 (Bit Interleaved Coded Modulation for Noncoherent N-symbol Continuous Phase Frequency Shift Keying)

  • 인터리브 된 레일리 페이딩 채널에서 비동기식 N-심볼 연속 위상 주파수 변조(Continuous Phase Frequency Shift Keying, CPFSK) 방식을 위한 비트 인터리브 된 부호화 변조(Bit Interleaved Coded Modulation, BICM) 시스템을 설계하고 성능을 분석 하였다. 본 논문에서는 BICM의 설계와 성능 분석을 위하여 비동기식 N-심 볼 CPFSK의 기하학적 등가 정규 제곱 거리(Equivalent Normalized Squared Distance, ENSD)를 사용하였다. 특히 비동기식2-심볼 4진 CPFSK 방식을 위한 BICM 시스템을 설계하였으며, 이 시스템 의 성능을 ENSD를 이용하여 분석하고, 모의실험을 통해 검증하였다.

  • In this paper, we analyze a physical layer of W-CDMA .system and design a transmitter and receiver by using ADS (Advanced Design System). Also, we simulated a link level performance with different channel estimation algorithm in Jakes fading channel environment. For the channel estimator, we used the WMSA(Weighted Multi-Slot Averaging) algorithm, EGE(Equal Gain Estimation) algorithm and SSE(Symbol-to-Symbol Estimation) algorithm. This study will be useful in the analysis and design of W-CDMA system.

  • In this paper, we propose parallel Viterbi decoders applied to UWB(Ultra Wide Band). In consideration of power dissipation and ease of design, we design the architecture, using 132MHz clock instead of 528MHz clock in Baseband. Because Deinterleaver writes and reads the transmitted data per 6Ncbps(The number of coded bits per symbol). using the difference between the number of sampling clock per symbol and the number of coded bits per symbol, we reduce performance degradation of parallel Viterbi decoders. In comparison with using 528MHz clock, the result is little difference.

Symbol Characters Allocation of a QWERTY Type Keyboard Design for Smartphones

  • The QWERTY type keyboard is a classical device that has been used for computers for a long time. The keyboard design of mobile devices like smartphones is an important issue to consider because of the limited space on the touch screen. This paper presents a design for symbol allocation on the QWERTY type soft keyboard. A 27-cell model, including the full stop (.), is proposed in this paper. A QWERTY type keyboard for smartphones is mainly known for its spatial compatibility, whereas the characters of the ANSI keyboard are allocated to the shoulder positions for functional auxiliary input methods such as the long pressing method.

국가 상징 이미지로 무궁화를 모티브로 활용한 패션문화상품 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of Fashion Cultural Products of National Symbol Using Mugunghwa)

  • Using the official marker of the Korea's national symbol to inform the world of the country's existence to the global community in the $21^{st}$century enhances the autonomy and the competitiveness of Korea. It is thought that selecting a motif for promoting the national identity through cultural products or costumes can prepare an opportunity for gaining competitiveness internationally. The purpose of this study is to enhance understanding on the use of a traditional Korean symbol, Mugunghwa, and how it increases the cultural value of Korea, and develops the modern Korean image. The specific contents of this study are as follow. First, searching for the scope of usage of the national flower Mugunghwa from various angles for enhancing the Korean image. Second, developing a national symbol image of modern sense that reflects trend by using Mugunghwa. Third, clarifying the application scope and role of the national symbol image using Mugunghwa, and present a specific usage plan for creating more value. As for the study method, the study is conducted through theoretical and empirical research and six pieces of work of modern Mugunghwa image are presented as the result. Based on the development of the image of Mugunghwa as a national symbol, this study proposed a role of a cultural ambassador by applying Mugunghwa to fashion products or costumes. As for the expected effect, it can provide an opportunity for developing another national symbol and a new perspective on national symbol will appear. It is thought that the cultural value of a national symbol can be understood through this study and it can provide an opportunity for developing various national symbols for enhancing the national image.

민화 '모란' 의 언어학적 상징요소 재해석을 통한 디지털 주얼리 디자인 연구 (A study on digital jewelry design through reinterpretation of symbolic element of Peony flower in Minwha with Linguistic analysis)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 한국 문화 콘텐츠인 민화의 도상을 통한 상징체계는 근원적인 우리의 조상들의 긍정적이고 개방적이며 유연한 사고방식의 표현이고, 의사소통의 방법이었으며, 이는 현대에서도 새로운 매체와 더불어 전승할 수 있는 소중한 유산임을 논의하고자 함이다. 이를 위한 연구 방법으로 언어학적 분석을 토대로 보편적 소망을 담은 민화 도상중 하나인 모란의 상징 내용에 디지털 매체를 통한 주얼리 디자인 프로세스를 적용하여 현대적 주얼리 디자인을 하였다. 분석을 통한 결과물로서 모란 도상의 보편적 소망인 부귀와 명예의 내용을 담은 Blossom 과 함박웃음을 주제로 현대의 최신 기술들을 접목하여 3D 디지털 도구를 통한 디자인 프로세스 및 변형 과정을 보여 주었으며, 생산 방식에 있어서도 3D 프린팅 방식과 레이져 커팅 방식을 통해 민화의 상징체계에 있어서의 개방성과 유연한 사고를 접목하여 형상화 하였다.
