SRM의 여자제어를 위한 멀티레벨 인버터 (Multi-level Inverter for the Excitation Control of an SRM)

  • The applications of SRM(Switched Reluctance motor) are dramatically increasing due to a simple mechanical structure, a high efficiency and a high speed drive characteristics. Energy recovery in the regenerative region is very important when SRM is used in traction drive. This is to reduce energy loss during mechanical braking and/or to have a high efficiency drive. To control excitation voltage during motoring and regenerating voltage in the generator operation in the SRM, multi-level voltage control is effective. This paper suggests multi-level inverter which is useful for motoring and regenerative operation. The proposed method is verified through simulations and experiments.

  • The switched reluctance motor(SRM) has considerable potential for industrial applications because of its high result lily as a result of the absence of rotor windings. In some applications with SRM, paralleling strategy is often used for cost saving, increasing of current capacity and system reliability. A SRM inverter has very low ,switching frequency. This results in reducing the burden for a high-speed of the gate-amp interface circuit. and the linearity of optocoupler is used to protect the instantaneous peak current for the stable operation. In this paper, series resistor is used to equal the current sharing of each switching device and a linear gate-amp is proposed to protect the instantaneous peak current which occurs in transient state. The proposed paralleling strategy is verified by experimental results.

  • Switched Reluctance Motor(SRM) Drive 회로의 경제성과 효율성을 감안하여 본 논문에서는 범용적으로 많이 쓰이는 비대칭 컨버터와 변형된 C-dump 컨버터를 비교 분석하였으며 산업용 저전압 SRM에 각각 적용하였을 때의 특성들을 기술하였다. 고속도 영역과 저속도 영역에서의 Advance angle과 Firing angle 제어를 하였을 때의 토크특성과 전류특성을 비교하였다. 또한, PWM 을 이용하여 토크리플을 감안한 적절한 on-off 각을 제시하여 그에 따른 저속도 영역에서의 특성들을 기술하였다.

  • This paper introduces a indirect rotor position and speed estimation algorithm for the SRM(switched reluctance motor) sensorless control, based on the sliding mode observer. The information of position and speed is generally provided by encoder or resolver. However, the position sensor not only adds complexity, cost, and size to the whole drive system, but also causes limitation for industrial applications. In this paper, in order to eliminate the position sensor, indirect position sensing method using sliding mode observer is used for SRM drives. And this observer parameters are optimized by evolutionary algorithm. PI controller is also optimized for the SRM to track precisely using evolutionary algorithm.

  • Since rotor position information is necessary to drive the SRM, absolute-encoder, resolver and incremental-encoder is used to detect a poor position. But, it is not desirable to use a high priced encoder and high efficient microprocessor under the condition of the simple driving system when precision control is not demanded. In this paper, Only using the reflective type 2 photosensors replace the conventional opto interrupter and slotted disk, which not only remove a slotted disk section but drive 3-phase 6/4 SRM bidirectionally. Moreover, as control circuit only is composed of common analog device economy is maximized.

  • In this paper, a backstepping speed controller applied in SRM is presented. The driver of SRM is generally planned with a PI controller. A PI controller is becomes a satisfied structure in the system. it is used in position and speed control loops. However, when the system parameter uncertainties large inertia and load disturbance, it will not be able to expect a satisfied efficiency. Therefore, a backstepping control law was researched, which is able application even to a linear system as well as a nonlinear and it is more excellent than a origin adaptive control law. In this paper, a backstepping control law applied the drive system of SRM was used in the drive controller. The computer simulation result clearly show that the applied backstepping controller can track the speed reference signal generated by internal signals.

  • The conventional optimization study for electromagnetic systems has been mostly on the shape or size optimization. The goal for these optimization methods is to improve performance of electromagnetic systems by optimizing the interface shape of two different materials while their given layout or initial topology are held. The feasible topology can be diverse and an appropriate topology will give much better design results. In this paper we propose a theory and an algorithm for topology optimization of electromagnetic systems, which are based on the finite element method. The topology optimization technique employes a direct searching method of sensitivity analysis in which the information of material sensitivity is used. Two numerical examples of a switched reluctance motor and an electrostatic actuator of MEMS are tested and their design results show that the optimization method is valid and useful for the topology and basic layout design of electromagnetic systems.

Design of Salient Pole Rotor Type Single Phase SRM

  • Because salient pole rotor type single phase SRM(Switched Reluctance Motor) has a simple structure and can be use both radial and axial direction magnetic flux at the same time, its output power per unit volume is high. Therefore, the shaft length can be minimized when compared with same output motors. However, salient pole rotor is hard to design due to its complex magnetic circuit. In this paper, salient pole rotor type single phase SRM with minimized shaft length is designed and selected the most suitable dimension of rotor, stator, pole arc and salient pole.

  • 본 논문은 새로운 구조의 이중 고정자 횡축 12/10 Switched Reluctance Motor(SRM)을 설계에 관한연구이다. 자동차 냉각팬에 적용하기 위해 Conventional 12/8과 Single Stator AF(Axial Field) SRM이 검토되었다. Axial Field의 장점은 기존의 방사형 보다 짧은 자속 경로를 가져 높은 토크와 효율을 가지지만 Single Stator AF SRM은 하나의 고정자와 회전자로 이루어져 있어 편심등 기구적으로 불안정하다는 단점이 있다. 이중 고정자 횡축 12/10 SRM은 두 고정자 사이에 회전자가 위치에 있어 Single Stator AF의 단점을 보안 할 수 있으며, 전기적인 특성 및 영향을 검토하기 위해 유한요소해석(FEA)을 수행하였다.

  • A single-phase power factor corrected converter for switched reluctance motor driving is presented to achieve sinusoidal, near unity power factor input currents. Because it combines a power factor corrected converter and a conventional asymmetric SRM driver into one power stage, the configuration has a simple structure resulted in low cost. A prototype to drive 6/6 poles SRM employing a parking magnet is designed to evaluate the proposed topology. The characteristics and operational mode will be discussed in depth, and the validity of proposed driver will be verified through the experimental results.
