지속가능발전교육(ESD)을 연계한 가정과 교육과정의 내용체계 개발: '생활환경과 지속가능한 선택' 영역 (Developing Content System for Home Economics Curriculum in Connection with Education for Sustainable Development(ESD): Focusing on the 'Life Environment and Sustainable Choice' Area)

  • 본 연구는 가정과 교육과정의 내용요소가 지속가능발전교육과 연계되어 있는지를 분석하고, 지속가능발전교육을 연계한 가정과 교육과정의 내용체계를 개발하여 실제 가정과 수업현장에서 지속가능발전교육을 실행하는데 활용할 수 있는 기초자료를 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해, 2022 개정 가정과 교육과정 내용체계의 내용요소를 교육내용 선정 준거를 기준으로 분석하였고, 분석결과를 반영한 교육내용 선정 준거에 근거하여 지속가능발전교육을 연계한 가정과 교육과정의 내용체계를 개발하여 제안하였다. 본 연구를 통해 도출된 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 지식·이해, 과정·기능, 가치·태도를 동등한 범주로 구성함으로써 역량의 구성요소를 총체적으로 반영하고 있었으나, 내용요소와 지속가능성 핵심역량과의 연계성은 부족하였다. 그리고 과정·기능 범주에서 실천적 추론의 일련의 과정이 제시되지 않아 실천적 문제해결 역량으로 이어지기 어려웠다. 따라서 지속가능성 핵심역량이 통합적으로 함양될 수 있고, 과정·기능 범주에서 실천적 추론의 과정이 명확히 드러날 수 있도록 제안하였다. 둘째, 개인적 행동이 사회적 참여로 확장될 수 있는 내용요소는 제시되지 않고 있었다. 개인·가족 차원의 해결방안을 다루는 것에서 나아가 사회적 참여로 확장될 수 있도록 제안하였다. 셋째, '생활환경과 지속가능한 선택'의 28개의 내용요소 중 6개에서 SDGs와의 연계성이 드러났다. 그러나 관련성이 내재된 경우, SDGs의 핵심단어 또는 핵심이슈를 내용요소에 포함하여 SDGs와 연계될 수 있도록 제안하였다. 넷째, 지속가능발전 관점의 환경적 차원만을 고려하고 있음을 확인하였다. 따라서 시·공간적 관계성에 기반하여 공존과 조화를 추구하고, 환경, 사회, 경제의 차원을 통합적으로 고려할 수 있는 지속가능발전 관점이 내재된 내용요소를 제안하였다. 마지막으로, 본 연구는 내용체계를 조직화하는데 있어서, 내용요소와 지속가능성 핵심역량과의 연계성을 제시하였고, 내용체계의 상위구조로 핵심 아이디어와 함께 지속가능성 핵심역량의 실천적 문제해결 역량을 제시하였다.

한.일 고등학교 가정교과서 녹색생활 학습자료 분석 (Content Analyses of Green Life-Teaching Materials in Korean and Japanese High School Home Economics Textbooks)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 한국과 일본의 고등학교 가정 교과서에 실린 녹색생활교육 학습자료 내용을 분석하는데 있다. 2007 개정 교육과정에 근거한 고등학교 l학년 기술 가정교과서 6권과 일본의 고등학교 교과서 4권을 포함하여 총 10권을 분석하였다. 한국과 일본의 고등학교 가정교과서 분석 결과, 두 나라 모두 녹색생활교육 자료가 가정경영/소비생활 영역에 가장 많고, 학습 자료 유형은 표/그림/사진 자료가 가장 많았다. 한국 가정교과서에는 녹색생활교육 관련 내용과 실천적 활동 학습자료가 전 영역에 거쳐 다양한 형태로 제시되어 있으나 출판사별 차이를 감안할 때 현장교사는 학교에서 채택한 교과서 이외에 다양한 교과서를 참조하는 것이 필요하다. 차기 가정과교육과정에는 선행연구에서 밝힌 녹색생활 내용요소들을 고루 포함하고, 중학교의 학습 자료 내용과 차별하여 심화된 실천적 행동을 유도할 수 있는 내용으로 구성하여야 할 것이다.

Study on the current research trends and future agenda in animal products: an Asian perspective

  • This study aimed to analyze the leading research materials and research trends related to livestock food in Asia in recent years and propose future research agendas to ultimately contribute to the development of related livestock species. On analyzing more than 200 relevant articles, a high frequency of studies on livestock species and products with large breeding scales and vast markets was observed. Asia possesses the largest pig population and most extensive pork market, followed by that of beef, chicken, and milk; moreover, blood and egg markets have also been studied. Regarding research keywords, "meat quality" and "probiotics" were the most common, followed by "antioxidants", which have been extensively studied in the past, and "cultured meat", which has recently gained traction. The future research agenda for meat products is expected to be dominated by alternative livestock products, such as cultured and plant-derived meats; improved meat product functionality and safety; the environmental impacts of livestock farming; and animal welfare research. The future research agenda for dairy products is anticipated to include animal welfare, dairy production, probiotic-based development of high-quality functional dairy products, the development of alternative dairy products, and the advancement of lactose-free or personalized dairy products. However, determining the extent to which the various research articles' findings have been applied in real-world industry proved challenging, and research related to animal food laws and policies and consumer surveys was lacking. In addition, studies on alternatives for sustainable livestock development could not be identified. Therefore, future research may augment industrial application, and multidisciplinary research related to animal food laws and policies as well as eco-friendly livestock production should be strengthened.

Current situation and future prospects for the Australian beef industry - A review

  • Beef production extends over almost half of Australia, with about 47,000 cattle producers that contribute about 20% ($A12.7 billion gross value of production) of the total value of farm production in Australia. Australia is one of the world's most efficient producers of cattle and was the world's third largest beef exporter in 2016. The Australian beef industry had 25 million head of cattle in 2016-17, with a national beef breeding herd of 11.5 million head. Australian beef production includes pasture-based cow-calf systems, a backgrounding or grow-out period on pasture, and feedlot or pasture finishing. Feedlot finishing has assumed more importance in recent years to assure the eating quality of beef entering the relatively small Australian domestic market, and to enhance the supply of higher value beef for export markets. Maintenance of Australia's preferred status as a quality assured supplier of high value beef produced under environmentally sustainable systems from 'disease-free' cattle is of highest importance. Stringent livestock and meat quality regulations and quality assurance systems, and productivity growth and efficiency across the supply chain to ensure price competiveness, are crucial for continued export market growth in the face of increasing competition. Major industry issues, that also represent research, development and adoption priorities and opportunities for the Australian beef industry have been captured within exhaustive strategic planning processes by the red meat and beef industries. At the broadest level, these issues include consumer and industry support, market growth and diversification, supply chain efficiency, productivity and profitability, environmental sustainability, and animal health and welfare. This review provides an overview of the Australian beef industry including current market trends and future prospects, and major issues and opportunities for the continued growth, development and profitability of the industry.

  • The European Union (EU) is the world's third largest producer of beef. This contributes to the economy, rural development, social life, culture and gastronomy of Europe. The diversity of breeds, animal types (cows, bulls, steers, heifers) and farming systems (intensive, extensive on permanent or temporary pastures, mixed, breeders, feeders, etc) is a strength, and a weakness as the industry is often fragmented and poorly connected. There are also societal concerns regarding animal welfare and environmental issues, despite some positive environmental impacts of farming systems. The EU is amongst the most efficient for beef production as demonstrated by a relative low production of greenhouse gases. Due to regional differences in terms of climate, pasture availability, livestock practices and farms characteristics, productivity and incomes of beef producers vary widely across regions, being among the lowest of the agricultural systems. The beef industry is facing unprecedented challenges related to animal welfare, environmental impact, origin, authenticity, nutritional benefits and eating quality of beef. These may affect the whole industry, especially its farmers. It is therefore essential to bring the beef industry together to spread best practice and better exploit research to maintain and develop an economically viable and sustainable beef industry. Meeting consumers' expectations may be achieved by a better prediction of beef palatability using a modelling approach, such as in Australia. There is a need for accurate information and dissemination on the benefits and issues of beef for human health and for environmental impact. A better objective description of goods and services derived from livestock farming is also required. Putting into practice "agroecology" and organic farming principles are other potential avenues for the future. Different future scenarios can be written depending on the major driving forces, notably meat consumption, climate change, environmental policies and future organization of the supply chain.

  • 타 산업, 특히 제조업 분야의 경우 급격한 기술 및 인터넷 환경의 발전으로 인해 시장이 세분화되고 다품종 소량생산의 체제로 변화하였다. 이러한 사회적 변화는 주택 시장에도 변화를 가져와 공급자 중심에서 수요자 중심의 시장으로 변화하고 있으며 주택에 대한 소비자의 요구사항도 날로 다양해지고 있다 한편 주택의 장수명화를 실현하고 지속가능 한 건축 및 환경 구현을 위해 오픈 하우징 시스템에 관한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있는 시점에서, 오픈 하우징 개념을 도입한 맞춤형 아파트의 도입이 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 그러나 아직 도입 초기 단계이기 때문에 맞춤형 아파트의 운영에 있어 많은 문제점이 드러나고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 맞춤형 아파트 사업이 효율적으로 이루어질 수 있도록 하기 위하여 최근 입주가 완료된 맞춤형 아파트의 실무자들과의 인터뷰 및 운영 사례를 조사하여 문제점을 분석하고 그에 따른 개선방안을 제시하였다.

안전한 노인요양시설 환경을 위한 실내 바닥마감재에 관한 연구 (A Study on Interior Flooring Materials for Safe Elderly Nursing Home Environment)

  • The number of elderly who wants to access to Nursing Homes (NH) will increase due to the rapid aging society and domestic changes. Those who move into NH expect 24/7 care service in safe environment. Providing space free from danger, especially from fall, for the frail elderly is essential. The purpose of this study is to categorize performance needs of flooring materials in the aspect of safety, and analyze materials so that adequate ones for each space in NH can be suggested. Performance needs are as follows; slip resistance (dry/wet), fire resistance, resilience, water resistance, soil retardant, anti-bacterial, gloss, sound absorbtion. maintenance, durability, ease replacement, color and pattern variety, visual and tactual texture, tactile warmth, IAQ, sustainable material (before use), impact to nature (after use). They are categorized under function, economy, sensibility and sustainability. It was found that there are better materials than common ones that has been used repeatedly in NHs, such as vinyl sheets and VCT. In overall, Cork flooring and nylon carpet met all four categories, followed by wool carpet, rubber and linoleum. For bedroom, wood flooring, Cork, rubber, wool carpet, nylon carpets were suggested. In bathroom with shower, rubber, vinyl sheet and porcelain tiles were safe materials. As living/dining room and corridor floors, wool carpet, nylon carpet, cork flooring would be excellent as they are resilient and durable. The result of this paper can be used by both NH managers and material companies, resulting better quality of life of the elderly by providing safe environment.

섬유의류산업의 지속가능성 증진을 위한 의복종류별 방안 모색 (An Exploration according to Clothing Category for Increasing the Sustainability of Fashion and Textiles)

  • Sustainable fashion & textile is more than eco fashion & textile with the concepts for the next generation's happiness, prosumer value, and community responsibility. This study considers methods to enhance fashion and textile industry sustainability in accordance to clothing types (material, product life and washing properties) and to investigate company strategies. Company strategies are of redesign with stock, volunteering & measuring trash amount, participation by evaluation stores, clerk environment education, hiring QC specialist and reinforcing partnerships. For the case of daily innerwear, throwing away and recycling is more efficient for the environment than laundering in the consumer use stage; subsequently, we recommend the use of polypropylene fiber (a cheap and an eco-friendly material) for this item that can be recycled and reformed after use. For the case of single layer clothing (such as sportswear, blouse or pants) we recommend the use of thermoplastic materials with welding or fuse assembling technology instead of a sewing method of seams as well as the recycle design that is simply melted and reformed into new clothing without an after use dissembling process. Secondhand use or resale is suitable for denim/jean items if the clothing has a storytelling or private history tag. Lastly, module-type jacket or coat shows the variety of styles with one clothing worn w/o collar or sleeve details and changed into vest/coat; in addition, it is possible to add or partly tear off some jacket/coat fibers of the felt material to reform it into a new design.

희토류 본드 자석의 현황과 전망 (The Current Status and Future Outlook of the Bonded Rare-earth Magnet)

  • 1980년대 초 희토류 자석이 발견된 이래 지난 30년간 희토류 본드 자석은 지속적으로 성장해 왔으며, 그 적용 분야도 보다 다양해 지고 있다. 현재 희토류 본드 자석은 컴퓨터 주변기기, 자동차, 소비 가전, 사무 자동화 분야 등 우리의 일상 생활과 주변에서 광범위하게 사용되고 있다. 하지만, 2010년 하반기부터 시작된 희토류 원료 가격의 급등은 2011년 2사분기 들어 수직 상승에 가까운 전대미문의 폭등세를 보이며 관련 산업에 적지 않은 충격을 가져오고 있다. 이로 인해 그 동안 성능 대비 가격 경쟁력을 바탕으로 페라이트 자석 시장을 꾸준히 잠식하며 양적인 성장과 응용 분야를 확대해 왔던 희토류 본드 자석 업계의 성장방향에 근본적인 변화가 불가피할 것이 분명하며, 향 후 지속 가능한 성장을 위하여 새로운 패러다임 또는 비즈니스 모델의 도입이 반드시 필요하다. 본 글에서는 희토류 본드 자석에 주로 사용되는 희토류 원료의 최근 가격 동향을 간략하게 알아 보고, 희토류 본드 자석의 주요 응용 분야와 희토류 본드 자석용 분말의 개발 동향에 대해서 알아 보았다.

농산물 구매선택 속성이 로컬푸드 직매장 이용에 미치는 영향 연구 (A Study on the Effects of Selection Attributes for Agricultural Products on Using Local Food Store)

  • Purpose - As consumers' needs for purchasing fresh and safe food have been bigger in Korea, their interest in local food is also growing recently. So, the number of local food stores has been increased from 3 in 2012 to 103 in 2015. Local food stores should operate a business responding consumers' needs in order that local food stores are not to be a one-time fad. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics of consumers who use a local food store and provide helpful implications to design a strategy for sustainable growth of local food store. Research design, data, and methodology - In this study, Probit model was used for empirical analysis in order to examine the effect of purchase choice attributes of agricultural products, consumer's satisfaction, and their demographic factors upon the intention to use a local food store. After estimating coefficients of the probit model, marginal effects were calculated as a standard normal, and cumulative distribution is differentiated with respect to explanatory variables. To collect the data, questionnaire survey was carried out with the consumers using the local food store (Youngjin Nonghyup near to Jeonju city located in Jeollabuk-do). Result - The data analysis found that the more consumers are satisfied with local food store, the higher intention they have to use the local food store. In addition, it was known that the factors related to quality of agricultural products and shopping convenience among the purchase choice attributes have a considerable impact on the purchase intention of a local food store. In demographic factors, income was turned out to be an important factor affecting purchase intention of local food. Such a result supports the hypothesis that high income consumers are likely to purchase local food, which is based on the inference that consumers who have a high income tend to pursue wellbeing life. Futhermore, information delivery, through a reputable media source among general factors, was known to play an important role in forming an intention to purchase local food. According to the analysis of marginal effects, probability of purchase intention of a local food store is increased by 11.4%, if a monthly average income of a household is above 4.5 million Won(Korean currency). If purchasing satisfaction with local food stores is high, the probability of purchase intention would be increased by 24.1%. Likewise, such a probability goes up by 8.7%, 5.8%, respectively as an increasing one unit of quality of agricultural products and shopping convenience of local food stores, respectively. Conclusion - For attaining sustainable growth in a local food store, it is considered necessarily to establish a proper store operation system to meet consumers' needs, especially for quality and shopping convenience of local food. Moreover, as it was found that appropriate communication through media source has a positive effect on the intention to use local food store, PR activity seems to be necessary to expand the consumers' demands for local foods.
