  • Ecosystem and environment have been a serious challenge facing the modern society. It's been the new paradigm from ecological view of the world and the alternative based on Orientalism. From the Oriental standpoint, ecological aesthetics and sustainable architecture are no longer new, which then servers the background of this study. The nature and the space, the life where the human is harmonized and integrated and the wish to make the balance through that life are the basic philosophy which the Orientalism has pursued. Based on such a basic concept, the study is intended to review the connectivity, expression approach and the features in Korean traditional residential space based on previous studies on ecological aesthetics and sustainable architecture. Such attempt is meaningful in seeking the possibility of presenting the new frame as well as forming the various views to the traditional space and spatial recognition. The nature was categorized into tangible element and intangible element and also direct approach and indirect approach before evaluating the characteristics. Sustainable architecture is not the concept to simply maintain or sustain the environment, but plays more important role in economical aspect. Traditional space accommodates the nature and circulation principle and the circulation in the nature controls the energy and enhances the efficiency, playing significant role. The nature itself serves the alternative energy and has the aesthetic element in such a way of concealing itself. This study is intended to analyze the Byulseo Jeongwon which formed many relations with the nature and the residential space, thereby identifying the expression characteristics of eco-aesthetic sustainable architect. This study offers the answers with regard to the coexistence of the expression characteristics of sustainable architecture with the nature, space and the human from eco aesthetic viewpoint as well as the solution in dealing with the ecological and environmental challenges. Furthermore, it suggested the possibility that the traditional space would possibly be succeedable in new and creative way and sought the way for coexistence among the nature, space and human and eco aesthetics, and finally paved the pivotal foundation as the sustainable design alternative in future.

지속가능한 발전과 새로운 도시화 - 개념적 고찰 - (Sustainable Development and New Urbanization: A Conceptual Consideration)

  • 본 논문은 자본주의 사회에서 '지속가능한 도시화'의 가능성에 대한 비판을 인정하면서도 이의 가능성을 전제로 한 '새로운 도시화'를 개념화하고자 한다. 이를 위하여, 우선 근대 산업사회의 도시화와 관련된 포드주의적 축적체제와 이를 뒷받침한 '발전주의' 전략의 문제점들을 지적하고자 한다. 그리고, 이러한 도시환경문제를 통제하기 위하여 등장한 지속가능한 발전의 개념을 고찰하고, 그 동안 이 개념은 주로 산업적 도시화의 결과로 초래된 도시 환경문제를 사후적으로 해결하기 위한 전략 - 즉 약(弱)지속가능한 발전 전략 - 에 한정되고 있음을 밝히고자 한다. 이러한 점에서, '발전주의' 전략뿐만 아니라 약(弱)지속가능한 발전 전략의 한계를 극복하기 위하여. 지속가능한 발전의 개념을 유형화하여, 새로운 도시화를 위한 강(强)지속가능한 발전과 이를 적용한 도시환경 전략을 제시한다. 강지속가능성에 기초한 새로운 도시화는 기존 도시화 과정 및 이를 추동하는 정치경제적 체제에서 벗어나는 전환적 발전을 목표로, 시민들의 자발적 실천과 연대(네트워크)를 통해 자기완결적이고 환경정의적 전략들의 실행을 통해 이루어져야 한다는 점이 강조된다.

지속가능한 측면에서의 주거공간 신소재의 기준 및 특성 (A Study on the Criteria and Characteristics of New Material for Housing Space Focused on Sustainability)

  • The study was to grasp features of new material applicable to housing space in the sustainable side by analyzing materialistic features of new material and features of sustainable material with sustainable new material. Through analysis on sustainable new material, the study deducted the below conclusion. First, through the precedent studies, the characteristics of sustainable materials have been classified into eight categories : friendly healthiness, non-toxicity, comfortableness, naturality, recycling, harmlessness of environment, separate collection, reusability. After the criteria have been brought up from new material applicable to housing space in the sustainable. Second, in materialistic Characteristics of new material, 'New Process' was mainly applied. There was no any new material applied to 'new raw material'. Therefore, it is thought that it is necessary to study on development of perfectly new material and to study on new material to apply material used in other fields to finishing material of dwelling space. Third, in Characteristics of sustainable material, 'Re-serviceability' appeared most and 'Non-toxicity' and 'Recycling' appeared in the next. 'Friendly Healthiness' and 'Separate collection' appeared only one on the other side. Therefore, it is judged that it is necessary to develop and study new material including health components considering user's health, function for health increase and function to grope comfort for humans. Finally, after researching and analysis the criteria by recently presented the new material, it has been concluded that the standard can be used as the criteria of new material for the possibility of application in housing space. On the basis of the study, the author will carry out analysis on sustainable new material minutely and utilize it as basic data to suggest a standard of sustainable new material applicable to dwelling space in the future.

윤리적 소비의식 및 라이프 스타일이 지속가능패션 제품의 소비에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Consumer's Ethical Consumption Consciousness and Lifestyle on Sustainable Fashion)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of consumer's ethical consumption consciousness and lifestyle on sustainable fashion. The data was analyzed by reliability analysis, factor analysis, cluster analysis, one-way ANOVA, Duncan's multiple range test, and multiple regression. The major results of this study were as follows. First, three factors of sustainable fashion were identified: eco-friendliness, recycling, and safety. Second, three factors of ethical consumption consciousness were identified: social ethics, environmental ethics, and public ethics. Based on these factors, the subjects were categorized into three clusters (high, middle, and low ethical consumption consciousness group). Third, four factors of life style were identified: pursuit of brand, appearance, cautiousness, and information. Based on these four factors, the subjects were categorized into three clusters (brand/appearance, cautiousness/information, and unconcerned group). Fourth, three factors of ethical consumption consciousness significantly influenced eco-friendliness factor of sustainable fashion. Also, the recycling factor of sustainable fashion was influenced by social ethics, environmental ethics, pursuit of brand, and pursuit of information. The safety factor of sustainable fashion was influenced by environmental ethics, public ethics, and pursuit of information. The results of this study suggest that practical and various environmental education need to be provided to consumers, because high environmental ethical consciousness consumers evaluated sustainable fashion positively. Additionally, accurate information on eco-friendliness, recycling, and safety of clothing products would need to be provided by fashion businesses through various routes, because those with information-pursuing lifestyle were found to have deep interests in sustainable fashion.

소셜미디어를 통한 소비 표현 행동이 지속가능소비에 미치는 영향: 사회적 연결감의 매개효과 (The Effect of Consumption Expression Behavior through Social Media on Sustainable Consumption: Mediating Effects of Social Connectedness)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of consumer consumption behavior on sustainable consumption through social media and to verify the mediating effects of social connectedness on sustainable consumption. A survey comprising 222 men and women in their 20s and 30s was conducted in which their consumption expression behavior, sustainable consumption and social connectedness were measured. The results were analyzed using SPSS Process Macro Model 4 and it was found that consumers who shared a considerable amount of personal information on their lifestyle on social media as a means of self-expression exhibited a higher level of sustainable consumption. It also became apparent that the degree of consumption expression behavior had a positive effect on social connectedness and that social connectedness had a positive impact on sustainable consumption by mediating the degree of consumption-focused self-expression on social media. Based on these results, it was confirmed that social media can serve as a mechanism to lead consumers' consumption behavior beyond providing a basis for forming a human network. Implications for the impact of social media on consumption behavior were presented, and proposals for exploring the environment in which sustainable consumption can be activated were suggested, together with ways in which new media can be utilized. The findings from this study indicate that sharing consumption behavior and having a broad range of connections on social media can create an environment in which sustainable consumption is promoted.

고등학생의 지속가능한 식생활 역량 향상을 위한 가정과 식생활교육 프로그램의 개발 및 평가 (Development and Evaluation of Home Economics Dietary Education Programs for Improving the Sustainable Dietary Competencies of High School Students)

  • This study aimed to develop, and evaluate the effectiveness of, a home economics dietary education program that could be used to improve high school students' sustainable dietary competencies. To achieve this goal, learning objectives and elements were selected for the education program to improve the students' sustainable dietary competency. The content validity of this program was verified with numerous experts. After implementing the new educational program, its effect on high school students' sustainable dietary competencies was assessed through pre- and post-tests. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, through the textbook analysis, the necessity of developing an educational program that can cultivate the three areas that constitute a sustainable diet (environment, health, and consideration) was confirmed. Second, a total of nine teaching and learning plans for sustainable dietary education programs were developed. From there, content validity verification was conducted by experts, indicating that the developed educational program was highly applicable in the field. Third, after the implementation, a survey was conducted based on a questionnaire consisting of 20 items related to three areas of sustainable diet, while the pre- and post-test assessment indicated statistically significant differences in all three areas: environment (pre: 3.40, post: 4.46, p<.001), health (pre: 3.15, post: 4.32, p<.001), and consideration (pre: 3.46, post: 4.48, p<.001). It is expected that the educational program developed in this study will be used as a basis for dietary education that fosters food citizenship in high school home economics courses.

지속가능한 지역사회개발의 개념과 접근과제 (Issues in the Concepts and Approaches of Sustainable Community Development)

  • Although the philosophy of sustainable community development does not give the cure-all solutions for the major problems faced in the communities, it is theoretically and practically recognized as a newly emerging paradigm toward community development theoretically and practically. However, more specific tasks and issues of sustainable community development remain unchallenged and descriptive statements. The main objective of this study was to find out the extensive community development practices through the review of current works in the area of sustainable community development indicator, local agenda 21 and the relative issues. The recommendations of this study were the following; 1) The sustainable community development indicators available in the community level should be selected. Also, how to integrate the objective condition and subjective perception in community development practices, and how to weigh the indicator item should be solved in order to compare and measure the implementation of community development works. 2) In relation to local agenda 21, how to secure the implementation mechanism is more important than the developing the local agenda 21. 3) The policies aimed to raise the resident's awareness, formation of community field, create community social capitals, and define strategies to the selective community development programs should be considered to make the philosophy of sustainable community development active in the field level.

  • 본 연구는 중장기적 고속철도망 계획을 위한 투자우선순위를 전통적인 평가기법에서 벗어나 지속가능 한 교통의 관점에서 이를 분석할 수 있는 방법론을 제안하고, 다원-개준 의사결정기법 중의 하나인 다원-속성 효용이론(MAUT)을 이용하여 이를 분석하였다. 지속가능 한 교통지표는 경제지표, 사회지표 및 환경지표로 구분하였으며, 지속가능 한 고속철도망 지수 분석 결과 경부와 호남 고속철도 이후에 건설되어야 할 우리나라의 고속철도망 노선축의 투자우선순위는 동서축, 남해축, 서해축 등의 순서로 분석되었다.

  • Sustainable development is no longer an option, but a requirement. Under this awareness, UN adopted 17 goals for a new sustainable development agenda on September 2015, named 'Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs)'. The Korean Society of Rural Planning(KSRP) is established on July 1994 for the sustainable development of rural areas. On the purpose to quantitatively analyze the research trend of KSRP's publications with the viewpoint of SDGs, the qualitative documents of 17 SDGs and 771 publications were mathematically transformed into vectors and the similarity was numerically measured with the 'Vector Space Model(VSM)'. The results show that 'Sustainable cities and communities(SDG 11)', 'Zero hunger(SDG 2)', 'Life on land(SDG 15)' and 'Responsible consumption and production(SDG 12)' have strong relationships with KSRP, while those of 'Affordable and clean energy(SDG 7)', 'Peace, justice and strong institution(SDG 16)' and 'Gender equality(SDG 5)' are weak. It is also found that the relationships of KSRP publications with 'energy' and 'climate change' issues(SDG 7, 13) were greatly increased during the period of 1995-2016, in spite of their weak relationships.

지속가능한 생태관광을 위한 대구시민의 관광태도 (Tourism Attitude of Deagu Citizens toward the Sustainable Ecotourism)

  • The changes in the worldwide paradigm of the sustainable development have started to be applied in the entire industry fields, and they come out as the sustainable tourism in the field of tourism. And the ecotourism has emerged as a practical method to meet the needs of the actual practice and the intellectual system for the sustainable tourism. In the type of tourists based on tourist attitude, 82.3% has the environment-friendly tourist attitude as a potential ecological tourist or an ecological tourist. In addition, there are the potentials of increase in ecological tourists as well as the revitalization of ecological tourism. First, the ecological tourists are mostly the well-educated and married professional workers at 40, housewives, and people earning a high income. Next, the potential ecological tourists are mainly the well-educated and married professional workers at 30, workers in the service industry, and middle-class citizens. Lastly, the general tourists are the students at 20 who are single, earn a low income, and has low level of education. This study presents useful data to the tourist business in terms of the development, operation and management of sustainable ecological tourism.
