Application of Data Mining on Simultaneous Activities on the Time Use Survey

  • This Paper analyzed simultaneous activities of the time use survey by Korea National Statistical Office to use data mining's association rule. The survey of National Statistical Office in 1999 considered general analysis for main activities like that personal care(eating), employment and study, leisure, travel by purpose. But if we use the association rule, we can found the ratio of simultaneous activities at the same time. And also we can found the probability that another activities practise if we act one particular activity. Using this association rule of data mining we can do more developed and analytical sociological study.

우리나라 전국자연환경조사 현황과 발전방안 (Status and Development of National Ecosystem Survey in Korea)

  • The National Ecosystem Survey in Korea provides information to policy makers for preservation of natural environment and implementation of international agreement. The 1st and 2nd National Ecosystem Survey were carried out between 1986 and 1990, and between 1997 and 2005, respectively. The 3rd National Ecosystem Survey began in 2006 and ended in 2012. In 2013 the pilot survey for the 4th National Ecosystem Survey is ongoing. The 4th National Ecosystem Survey due to the revision of the Natural Environment Conservation Act which has been done every 10 years would change into every five years. It is planned to be conducted from 2014 to 2018. The survey method of the 4th National Ecosystem Survey has been modified to obtain more accurate data for many taxa. The survey for a nocturnal animals will be introduced. In addition, monitoring by setting the grid will get quantitative data seasonally. The vegetation survey will be conducted with a mobile device contained files of aerial image maps including classified vegetation map. National Ecosystem Survey will be improved as follows. First, each survey methods suitable for the purpose should be developed. Second, monitoring methods for obtaining quantitative data should be developed. Finally, the research using the data should be developed in the field of not only ecosystem and biological diversity but also habitat assessment.

표본 O-D 조사자료의 합리적인 전수화 및 O-D함성 방안에 관한 연구 (Study of Improvements to Expansion Methods of Sample O-D Survey Data and Synthesis of O-D Data)

  • Since 1960's there have been conducted quite numbers of origin and destination (0-D) surveys in Korea, Most of them, however, were to be said not so successful. In this paper, it was investigated that why the previous 0-D surveys were failed, and that how it could be improved. The findings of this study are: 1. The collection of sample data itself was performed relatively well, but the problem was in the improper expansion methods which were applied. 2. To improve the expansion methods, it should be performed not only the dwelling unit-based sample surveys but also commercial vehicle survey, cordon line survey, screen line counts and other auxiliary travel surveys like transit patronage survey, vehicle miles survey etc. at the same time. 3. To expand the sample surveyed data in a proper way, the adjustment factors should take a disaggregate form and also should be applied not to the specific trips, but to the specific trip makers to avoid the bias which could be caused by the application of adjustment factors in a way that has been used previously. 4. If there is no considerable change in travel patterns, we can synthesize the present 0-D data with past surveyed sample data, using present statistic data in the same way which was developed in this paper when expanding and adjusting sample data.

산불피해대장 정보와 위성영상 기반 산불발생데이터의 연계 방안 (The Method of Linking Fire Survey Data with Satellite Image-based Fire Data)

  • 본 연구에서는 산불 발생 위치와 면적만 기록하는 산불피해대장 정보의 한계점을 보완하기 위해 위성 영상 기반의 산불발생데이터의 연계 방법을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 2012년 1월 ~ 2019년 12월 사이 산림청에서 제공하는 산불피해대장 자료와 MODIS 및 VIIRS 기반 산불발생데이터를 연계하는 방안을 도출하였다. 연구 결과 191건의 산불피해대장 산불 중 MODIS와 VIIRS 기반 산불발생데이터는 각각 약 11%와 44%의 산불에 대해 발생지역 확인이 가능하였다. VIIRS 기반 산불발생데이토로 추출한 피해지역에 대해 고해상도의 Sentinel-2A 위성으로 확인한 산불 영역과 비교한 결과 평균 56% 정도의 산림지역 피해가 추출되었다. 따라서 대규모 산불에 대해서는 VIIRS 산불발생데이터를 이용하면 면적과 발화점 위치만 기록하는 산불피해대장 정보의 한계점을 보완할 수 있을 것이다.

  • Data fusion is method to combination data. The purpose of this study is to design and implementation for street fashion information analysis system using data fusion. It can offer variety and actually information because it can fuse image data and survey data for street fashion. Data fusion method exists exact matching method, judgemental matching method, probability matching method, statistical matching method, data linking method, etc. In this study, we use exact matching method. Our system can be visual information analysis of customer's viewpoint because it can analyze both each data and fused data for image data and survey data.

설문조사에서의 무응답 처리 (Handling the nonresponse in sample survey)

  • 설문조사를 실시할 경우 무응답이 발생하지 않는 경우는 매우 드문일이며 무응답이 발생할 경우 무응답처리에 대해서는 다양한 방법이 적용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 무응답의 두 가지 유형인 단위무응답과 항목무응답의 발생비율을 기존에 조사된 실제 사례를 이용하여 파악하였으며, 무응답률에 따른 분석결과의 차이를 비교하였다. 또한, 대학생들을 대상으로 집단면접조사를 통해 직접 자료를 수집하였고 이 자료를 바탕으로 무응답률과 무응답이 발생하는 이유를 제시하였다.

Quality Test and Control of Kinematic DGPS Survey Results

  • Depending upon geographical features and surrounding errors in the survey field, inaccurate positioning is inevitable in a kinematic DGPs survey. Therefore, a data inaccuracy detection algorithm and an interpolation algorithm are essential to meet the requirement of a digital map. In this study, GPS characteristics are taken into account to develop the data inaccuracy detection algorithm. Then, the data interpolation algothim is obtained, based on the feature type of the survey. A digital map for 20km of a rural highway is produced by the kinematic DGPS survey and the features of interests are lines associated with the road. Since the vertical variation of GPS data is relatively higher, the trimmed mean of vertical variation is used as criteria of the inaccuracy detection. Four cases of 0.5%, 1%, 2.5% and 5% trimmings have been experimented. Criteria of four cases are 69cm, 65cm, 61cm and 42cm, respectively. For the feature of a curved line, cublic spine interpolation is used to correct the inaccurate data. When the feature is more or less a straight line, the interpolation has been done by a linear polynomial. Difference between the actual distance and the interpolated distance are few centimeters in RMS.

패널조사에서 PDA 활용 사례연구 (A Case Study on the Practical Use of PDA for Panel Survey)

  • 1968년 국내 조사기관이 최초로 설립된 이후 우리나라 조사방식은 급속한 발전을 거듭해 왔다. 최근에는 모바일과 인터넷 등 통신기술의 발달로 CATI, 노트북, 인터넷, PDA조사 방식이 진행되고 있다. 이 연구는 한국직업능력개발원이 자체 개발한 KISS 시스템을 이용하여 한국교육고용패널조사에 PDA를 응용한 사례를 중심으로 서술하고 있다. 이 연구에서는 설문조사 시 PDA의 장단점 및 활용방안에 대해 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다. 이 연구의 주요결과를 살펴보면 PDA조사는 1) 조사에 있어서 필드의 컨트롤이 수월하며, 2) 자료검증기간의 단축 및 정확한 자료의 생성, 3) 조사에서 자료완성까지 기간 단축, 4) 소요인원의 최소화 및 장기적으로 비용절감 등의 장점을 가지고 있다. 반면에 단점으로는 1) 설문표현의 한계, 2) 조사시간의 증가, 3) 일부지역의 통신장애 등을 들 수 있다.

정밀도로공간정보 구축을 위한 지상 MMS 측정자료와 항공측량자료의 결합방법 연구 (Study on the Integration of MMS and Airborn Survey Data for the Implementation of Precise Road Spatial Database)

  • 최근 스마트폰을 비롯한 각종 IT 장치의 도입과 차량항법시스템의 보편화로 인하여 위치기반 공간정보 서비스의 활용이 활발해 짐에 따라, 공간정보 사용자가 요구하는 품질의 수준이 높아지게 되었다. 본 연구에서는 지상 MMS 측정자료와 항공측량자료를 통합함으로써 정밀한 3차원 공간정보 구축하는 방법을 연구하였다. 이를 위해 실험지역에서 관측한 지상 MMS 측정자료와 항공측량자료 간의 편차경향을 분석하였고 각 데이터의 편차경향이 일관되지 못한걸 확인하였다. 편차 보정 모델 결정을 위해 GPS/INS 처리결과에 포함되어 있는 외부표정정보를 직접 수정하는 방법을 선택하였고 보정모델이 사용하는 기준인 보정용 기준점 좌표의 취득방법을 분류하여 각각의 장단점을 분석하였다. 항공사진 프로젝트에서 취득한 기준점 정보를 사용하여 지상 MMS 측정자료를 보정하는 방법을 통해 지상 MMS 측정자료 사이에 존재하는 편차를 소거하였을 뿐만 아니라 항공측량자료와 지상 MMS 측정자료 사이에 존재하던 편차도 대부분 소거된 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

국민건강영양조사 구강검사 개요 (Data resource profile: oral examination of the Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey)

  • Objectives: The Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES) is a national surveillance system that has been assessing the health and nutritional status of Koreans since 1998. Based on the National Health Promotion Act, the surveys have been conducted by the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC). Methods: An oral examination as part of The National Health and Nutrition Examination was proposed to calculate the sample design and survey participation. The surveying system was presented by classifying the measurement environment, screening, and survey items by year, and the merits and limitations of using the data were suggested by examining the status of survey quality management and the process of disclosing raw data. Results: This nationally representative cross-sectional survey samples approximately 10,000 individuals each year and collects information on oral examinations and oral health interviews. Data for the oral health component of KNHANES was obtained to assess the oral health status of Koreans and determine the prevalence of dental caries and periodontitis. The oral health data quality control of KNHANES was composed of three parts: "Education Program" and "Field Training Program" for quality control of oral health examiners (dentists) by the professional academy, and "Data management" by the KCDC. After completion of the three-step data check, the indicators of dental caries, periodontal disease, and oral health behavior were published in the National Health Statistics. Conclusions: To achieve the goals of oral health indicators, we will continue to monitor so that we can use it as basic data for oral policies and carry out various linkage analyses related to oral diseases.
