  • Research that establish new cadastral survey model that use GPS to introduce GPS observation technique in cadastral survey and research that develop connection technologies are gone abuzz. The purpose of this research is to keep in step in such trend and grasp present condition and performance of surveying connection to common use GPS data processing software, and analyze data processing algorithm, and develop suitable GPS data processing software in our real condition regarding GPS data processing and result of control point calculation. This research studies analysis common use software and error occurrence by data processing method that college and company have. Also, It analyzes algorithm that is applied to existing GPS data processing software. After that we study algorithm that is most suitable with cadastral survey and then develop cadastral survey calculation software for new cadastral control points

SAMI Galaxy Survey Data Release 2: Absorption-line Physics

  • We present the second data release from the SAMI Galaxy Survey. The data release contains reduced spectral cubes for 1559 galaxies, about 50% of the full survey, having a redshift range 0.004 < z < 0.113 and a large stellar mass range 7.5 < log($M_*/M_{\odot}$) < 11.6. This release also includes stellar kinematic and stellar population value-added products derived from absorption line measurements, and all emission line value-added products from Data Release One. The data are provided online through Australian Astronomical Optics' Data Central. Our poster presents stellar/gas kinematics on the metallicity-mass plane and highlight several galaxies from the SAMI Galaxy Survey that have interesting stellar and gas kinematics. BIM을 적용한 목조건축문화재 기록데이터 활용방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Utilization of Documentation using BIM on Wooden Architectural Cultural Assets)

  • The purpose of the study is to analyze how to document survey and repair data on wooden architecture culture assets. Documentation was analyzed in comparison to digital developments from the past to the present. Although the accuracy of survey equipment has been improved by digital development, survey drawing has not changed. For example, a 3D Scanner, survey equipment, was introduced but is being used for conversion into 2D data. Data provided by the drawing included in the survey and repair reports were not accumulated. As it stands, it is inaccessible and disorganized. Data generated from the survey, repair, and maintenance has to be consistent. A BIM system was proposed to integrate information on wooden architecture cultural assets.

  • 복잡한 확률표본설계를 기초로 수집된 데이터를 적법하게 분석하려면 반드시 조사설계를 고려하여 통계적 추론을 전개해야한다. 만일 설계를 무시하고 분석을 하면 각종 추정량의 분산이 과소추정되면 이 결과 제 1종 오류의 확률이 매우높아진다. 본고에서는 조사데이터를 전문적으로 분석하는 소프트웨어 패키지들을 소개하고 특히 SUDAAN 7.5판 과 SAS 8판의 분석 능력들에 대한 정보를 요약한다.

  • The field survey of a tsunami damage is carried out to collect and obtain real data. There data can be used to make the countermeasures against possible tsunami attackings. In the survey, many data collecting techniques such as interviewing with local people, taking pictures of the inundated field, recording the location by the GPS, measuring the level and distance of the maximum flood level can be used for practical and effective survey.

  • A prediction of store separation trajectory using grid survey method has been conducted. For the grid survey method, store's aerodynamic flowfield data such as freestream and grid data is needed to solve 6 degree of freedom(6-DOF) equations of motion. In the presented study, aerodynamic flowfield data was generated by Euler solver instead of CTS wind tunnel test. The predicted trajectories shows good agreement with CTS test results.

SYSTEM ANALYSIS OF PIPELINE SOFTWARE - A CASE STUDY OF THE IMAGING SURVEY AT ESO

  • There are common features, in both imaging surveys and image processing, between astronomical observations and remote sensing. Handling large amounts of data, in an easy and fast way, has become a common issue. Implementing pipeline software can be a solution to the problem, one which allows the processing of various kinds of data automatically. As a case study, the development of pipeline software for the EIS (European Southern Observatory Imaging Survey) is introduced. The EIS team has been conducting a sky survey to provide candidate targets to the 250 VLTs (Very Large Telescopes) observations. The survey data have been processed in a sequence of five major data corrections and reductions, i.e. preprocessing, flat fielding, photometric and astrometric corrections, source extraction, and coaddition. The processed data are eventually distributed to the users. In order to provide automatic processing of the vast volume of observed data, pipeline software has been developed. Because of the complexity of objects and different characteristic of each process, it was necessary to analyze the whole works of the EIS survey program. The overall tasks of the EIS are identified, and the scheme of the EIS pipeline software is defined. The system structure and the processes are presented, and in-depth flow charts are analyzed. During the analyses, it was revealed that handling the data flow and managing the database are important for the data processing. These analyses may also be applied to many other fields which require image processing.

주택가격동향조사를 위한 데이터편집 사례연구 (A Case Study of Data Editing for the Korean Housing Price Survey)

  • 대규모 통계조사에서 수집된 데이터에는 오류나 결측값의 문제가 발생하기 마련이다. 조사, 데이터 입력, 데이터 처리 등의 과정에서 여러 가지 요인에 의해 이런 문제가 생길 수 있는데 이런 데이터를 방치한 채 통계를 생산할 경우 편향이나 다양한 분석에서의 불일치의 문제가 발생하게 되어 통계의 품질과 신뢰성을 떨어뜨릴 수 있으므로 수집된 데이터의 오류나 결측값을 찾아 수정하는 데이터편집은 매우 중요한 작업이다. 해외에서는 데이터편집의 문제를 공론화하여 다루고 있는 데 반해 우리나라에서 데이터편집에 관한 논의는 거의 없는 편이다. 본 연구의 목적은 주택가 격동향조사를 위한 데이터편집의 사례를 소개함으로 데이터편집에 대한 논의의 폭을 넓히는 데 있다. 조사목적에 맞도록 편집규칙을 정하는 과정 및 관련 자료들을 소개하고, 온라인조사라는 조사방식에 맞는 입력 데이터편집방법을 마련하여 실시하는 예들을 소개하며, 마지막으로 출력 데이터편집에 의해 입력 편집에서 걸러지지 않은 오류나 문제들을 제거하는 방법도 소개한다.

반복횡단면자료의 패널화에 대한 연구: 농가경제조사의 경우 (Constructing Panel Data Using Repeated Cross-sectional Survey Data : A Case of Farm Household Survey and Its Analysis)

  • 본 연구는 농가경제조사를 패널자료화한 결과와 패널화된 자료를 이용하여 실제로 자료를 분석하는 예를 제시하였다. 본고의 분석결과 예시는 농가경제조사와 같은 반복횡단면자료의 경우 사후적으로 패널화함으로써 다양한 동태분석이 가능함을 보여주고 있다. 또한 횡단면가중치의 존재를 감안하였을 때 종단면가중치 문제도 비교적 수월하게 해결할 수 있는 가능성이 있음을 알 수 있다. 본고의 경험을 바탕으로 할 때 최근 통계청에서 새롭게 패널조사를 실시하려는 계획을 수립, 집행하고 있는 바, 이와 더불어 통계청에서 기존에 실시하고 있는 유사한 구조의 반복횡단면조사의 경우에도 패널화 작업을 수행할 필요가 있다고 판단된다. 물론 이러한 패널화 작업의 이점은 실제로 패널조사로 진행되고 있는 사업체조사에서 더욱 명확하게 나타날 것으로 예상되며, 향후에는 사업체 횡단면자료의 패널화작업을 시도할 필요가 있다고 할 것이다.

Is Simple Random Sampling Better than Quota Sampling? An Analysis Based on the Sampling Methods of Three Surveys in South Korea

  • This paper considers whether random sampling always produces more accurate survey results in the case of South Korea. We compare information from the 2010 census to the demographic variables of three public opinion surveys from South Korea: Gallup Korea's Omnibus Survey (Survey A) is conducted every two months by Gallup Korea; the annual Social Survey (Survey B) is conducted by Statistics Korea (KOSTAT); the Korean General Social Survey (KGSS or Survey C) is conducted annually by the Survey Research Center (SRC) at Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU). Survey A uses quota sampling after randomly selecting the neighborhood and initial addresses; Survey B uses random sampling, but allows replacements in some situations; Survey C uses simple random sampling. Data from more than one year was used for each survey. Our analysis suggests that Survey B is the most representative in most respects, and, in some respects, Survey A may be more representative than Survey C. Data from Survey C was the least stable in terms of representativeness by geographical area and age. Single-person households were underrepresented in both Surveys A and C, but the problem was more severe in Survey A. Four-person households and married persons were both over-represented in Survey A. Less educated people were under-represented in both Survey A and Survey C. There were differences in income level between Survey A and Survey C, but income data was not available for Survey B or the census, so it is difficult to ascertain which survey was more representative in this case.
