{Li, Na}FeAs 물질의 강상관계 전자 구조 (Correlation Effect on the Electronic Structures of {Li, Na}FeAs)

  • 본 연구에서는 자체일관적인 DFT+DMFT 계산을 통해 철의 3d 전자의 상관관계가 LiFeAs와 NaFeAs의 전자구조와 페르미 면 겹싸기 등에 미치는 영향을 알아보았다. 이들은 모두 철계 초전도체의 초전도성 형성에 매우 중요한 역할을 가지고 있다. DFT+DMFT 계산에서 얻어진 LiFeAs의 스펙트럼은, DFT에서 얻어진 띠 구조에 비해 매우 약한 페르미 면 겹싸기 현상을 보이며, NaFeAs 의 경우 DMFT 에서도 페르미 면 겹싸기 현상이 어느 정도 남아있는 것을 확인하였다. 그리고 이는 실험에서 보고된 ARPES 결과와 일치함을 확인했다.

  • We have designed and fabricated a four-bit shift register circuit using YBCO bicrystal junctions and experimentally tested its operations by a computer-controlled digital measurement set-up. Laser ablated YBCO thin films with clean surface were used in this work. The circuit consists of the shift register and two read SQUIDs placed next to each sides of the shift register. The SQUIDs were inductively coupled to the nearby shift register stages. A probe equipped with high speed coax lines were used in this experiment. The major obstacle in testing the circuit was the interference between the read SQUIDs and we solved the problem by finding the correct operation points of the SQUIDs from the simultaneously measured modulation curves. Loaded Data("1" or "0") were successfully shifted from a stage to the next one by a controlled current pulse injected to the bias lines located between the stages and the data shifts were correctly monitored by the read SQUIDs

Origin of High Critical Current density in $MgB_2$ thin films

  • We have fabricated high-quality c-axis-oriented $MgB_2$ thin films by using a pulsed laser deposition technique. The thin films grown on (1 1 0 2) $Al_2$$O_3$ substrates show an onset transition temperature of 39.2 K with a sharp transition width of ~0.15 K. X-ray diffraction patterns indicate a c-axis-oriented crystal structure perpendicular to the substrate surface. We observed high critical current densities ($J_{c}$) of ~ 16 $MA/\textrm{cm}^2$ at 15 K and under self-field, which is comparable to or exceeds those of cuprate high-temperature superconductors. The extrapolation $J_{c}$ at 5 K was estimated to be ~ 40 MA/$\textrm{cm}^2$, which is the highest record for $MgB_2$ compounds. At a magnetic field of 5 T, the $J_{c}$ of~ 0.1 $MA/\textrm{cm}^2$ was detected at 15 K, suggesting that this compound is very promising candidate for the practical applications at high temperature with lower power consumption. As a possible explanation for the high current-carving capability, the vortex-glass phase will be discussed.d.d.d.

Bi-2212/Cu-Ni 튜브로 제작한 초전도 한류소자의 단락사고시험 결과 (Fabrication and Fault Test Results of Bi-2212/Cu-Ni Tubes for Superconducting Fault Current Limiting Elements)

  • For the development of superconducting fault current limiters (SFCLs), fault current limiting elements were fabricated out of Bi-2212 bulk tubes and tested. The SFCL elements consisted of tube shaped Bi-2212 bulks and metal shunts for the stabilizers. Firstly, the Bi-2212 bulk tubes were processed based on a design of monofilar coils in order to acquire large resistance and high voltage rating. 300 mm-long Bi-2212 tubes were designed to have the current path of 410 cm in length with 24 turns and 41 mm in diameter. The processed monofilar coil, as designed, had 300 A $I_c$ at 77 K. The fabricated superconducting monofilar coils were affixed to Cu-Ni alloy as that of stabilizers. The Cu-Ni alloys were processed to have the same shape of the superconducting monofilar coils. The Cu-Ni coil had resistivity of 32 ${\mu}{\Omega}$-cm at 77 K and 37 ${\mu}{\Omega}$-cm at 300 K. The metal shunts were attached to the outside of the Bi-2212 monofilar coil by a soldering technique. After the terminals made of copper were attached to both ends of the superconductor-metal shunt composite, the gap between the turns and the surface of the elements was filled with an epoxy and a dense mesh made of FRP in order to enhance the mechanical strength. The completed SFCL elements went through fault tests, and we confirmed that the voltage rating of 143 $V_{rms}$ (E =0.35 $V_{rms}$/cm) could be accomplished.

Au/YBCO 박막의 안정성 해석 (Stability analysis of Au/YBCO film)

  • One dimensional conduction equation is solved by finite difference method, to analyse the stability of Au/YBCO film deposited on a sapphire substrate. Jolue heat is included in the case of current sharing state. The analysis shows the quench and recovery of superconductor depending on the amount of thermal disturbance release on the center surface of superconductor. The critical disturbance energies for different filling factor and operating current are calculated.

  • Enthalpy transport in a pulse tube was investigated by two-dimensional analysis of mass, momentum and energy equations of the gas as well as energy conservation of the tube wall. The mean temperature of the gas and the tube wall was obtained directly by assuming that the outer surface of a pulse tube is adiabatic. Effects of operating frequency, tube wall thickness, velocity ratio and velocity phase angle between both ends of a pulse tube on net enthalpy flow were shown.

  • Magnetization loss of a Bi-2223 tape in magnetic fields parallel to the tape surface was measured by a magnetization method. The results indicate that the magnetization loss is hysteretic because the measured loss agrees well with calculated one from a critical state model. In the full field penetration case the magnetization loss increases with the frequency but in the partial field penetration case the influence of the frequency is opposite.

  • PbTiO$_3$ films applicable to buffer layers for YBCO coated conductor have been successfully fabricated by sol-gel process. Crystallinity of grown films are heavily dependent on processing parameters such as annealing atmosphere and number of dipping. (100) oreinted PbTiO$_3$ films grown on (200) oriented Ni substrates exhibit uniform surface with small grain size(200~300nm).

  • YBa$_2$Cu$_3$$O_{7-x}$ thin films were fabricated by MOD-TFA process via dipping method on LaAlO$_3$(LAO) single crystalline substrates. In this study, we investigated effect of solvent on the microstructure and crystallinity of YBCO thin films. The YBCO films derived from solvent with low boiling point has good surface morphologies.s.
