열유체 윤활해석에 의한 표면 거칠기가 마찰거동에 미치는 영향 고찰 (The Influence of Surface Roughness on Thermohydrodynamic Analysis)

  • An approach is developed for parametric investigation of the influence of the surface roughness on thermohydrodynamic analysis with film conditions which systemically occur in journal bearings. A parametric investigation is performed for predicting the bearing behaviors such as pressure and temperature distributions in lubricating films between the stationary and moving surfaces determined by absorbed layers and interfaces on the statistical method for rough surface with Gaussian distribution. The layers expressing the effects of surface roughness are expressed as functions of the standard deviations (${\sigma}$) of each surface and surface orientation (j) to explain the flow patterns between both rough surfaces. The coupled effect of surface roughness and shear zone dependency on hydrodynamic pressure and temperature has been found by solving the present model in non-contact mode and contact mode, respectively.

원격탐사자료를 활용한 지표면 조도계수 통합의 영향: 홍수유출 변화를 중심으로 (Impacts of Surface Roughness Integration Using Remote Sensing Data: Concentration of Flood Flow Variation)

  • 원격탐사 자료를 이용한 토지피복도로부터 유역의 식생상황을 고려한 지표면 조도계수를 추정하기 위한 물리적 기반의 지표면 조도계수 추정방법을 제안하였다. 사전 연구로써 지표면 조도계수의 변화에 따른 첨두유량, 유출체적, 첨두시간에 대한 반응을 분석하기 위하여 NWS-PC 모형을 사용하였다. predominant, arithmetic mean, aggregation 방법으로 구해진 지표면 조도계수가 강우-유출 모형의 매개변수에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 지표면 조도계수에 대한 민감도 분석에서는 첨두유량이 약 10%의 변화를 나타내었고, 유출체적의 경우 약 2%의 변화를 나타내었다. 첨두시간은 지표면 조도계수에 비례하여 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 물리적 기반의 aggregation 방법에 의해 구한 지표면 조도계수를 사용하였을 때의 강우-유출 모의결과는 STDEV, RMSE, NSE, PME 통계량에서 나은 결과를 보였지만, 각각의 통합 방법에 대해 크게 다른 결과를 보이지는 않았다. 그러나, 모형에서 지표면 조도계수의 설정에 따라 기저유량을 표현하는 하층부의 매개변수는 민감하게 변화하는 것으로 나타났다.

표면 조도를 고려한 난류 천이 모델의 항공기 결빙 해석자에 대한 적용 연구 (Implementation of Roughness-Induced Turbulent Transition Model on Inflight Icing Code)

  • 본 연구에서는 표면 조도 분포가 항공기 결빙 수치 해석에 미치는 영향성에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 기존의 항공기 결빙 해석 연구에서는 표면 조도의 크기에 초점이 맞춰져 있었으며, 표면조도의 효과 측면에서는 완전 난류 가정을 적용하여 난류 천이를 고려하지 못하고 있다. 또한 일부 연구에서, 표면 조도가 천이 과정에 미치는 영향이 선험적인 수식으로 나타났으나, 이러한 기법은 항공기 결빙 해석의 정확도를 낮추는 요인으로 여겨졌다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 표면 조도가 난류천이 및 열 경계층에 미치는 영향을 모두 고려할 수 있도록, 2-방정식 난류 모델을 기반으로 하는 난류 천이 모델을 적용하였다. 표면 조도의 효과를 고려할 수 있도록 표면 조도 증폭 파라미터를 수송 방정식 형태로 적용하였으며, 물리적인 특성을 고려하기 위해서 표면 조도 분포 모델을 적용하였다. 이를 검증하기 위하여 2차원 익형의 표면 조도, 대류 열전달 계수 및 결빙 형상을 획득하였으며, 실험 결과와 기존 기법들을 사용한 수치 해석 연구결과를 비교하였다. 그 결과, 앞전에서의 열전달 계수의 과도한 예측과 그에 따른 익형 아랫면에서의 얼음뿔 형상이 개선되는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

볼엔드밀 가공에서의 가공물 검증 (Verification of Workpiece in Ball End Milling)

  • This paper presented a new model of NC verification in ball end milling. The model verifies the over cut the under cut and the surface roughness using NC file generated from CAM and cutting condition. The model uses Z-map model to verify workpiece. In this paper, the model used the velocities of x, y and z direction and obtained a center point of a ball end mill for modeling Z-map of workpiece. To investigate the performance of the model simulation study was carried out. As the results, the model gave geometry accuracy of workpiece, the surface roughness and the chip loads in finish cutting that can predict tool chipping.

AE 센서와 신경회로망을 이용한 NAK80 금형강의 자기연마 가공특성 모니터링 (Surface Condition Monitoring in Magnetic Abrasive Polishing of NAK80 Using AE Sensor and Neural Network)

  • The magnetic abrasive polishing (MAP), for online monitoring with AE sensor attachment, was performed in this study. To predict the surface roughness after the magnetic abrasive polishing of NAK80, the signal data acquired from the AE sensor were analyzed. A dimensionless coefficient, which consisted of average of AErms and standard deviation of AE signal, was defined as a characteristic of the MAP and a prediction model was obtained using least square method. A neural network, which had multiple input parameters from AE signals and polishing conditions, was applied for predicting the surface roughness. As a result of this study, it was seen that there was very close correlation between the AE signal and the surface roughness in the MAP. And then on-line prediction of the surface roughness after the MAP of the NAK80 was possible by the developed prediction model.

  • 본 연구에서는 유한요소법과 실험적인 방법으로 이동하중용 받는 불규칙한 노면을 갖는 연속교의 동적거동을 연구하였다. 차량하중은 차축의 스프링효과를 포함하였으며 이로 인해 교량과 차량의 운동방정식은 결합된 미분방정식으로 표현되었고 이를 반복시산법으로 해결하였다. 실험적인 방법에서는 상사율을 고려하여 원형과 모형에서 동일한 동적거동이 나타나도록 모델을 제작하였고 이러한 교량 불규칙조도면, 진입부 단차면, 연속 단차면을 주어 실험하였다. 속도의 분포와 조도면의 양상 및 차량의 진동에 따른 교량의 동적거동을 이론 및 실험적인 방법으로 비교, 분석하였다.

Impact study for multi-girder bridge based on correlated road roughness

  • The impact behavior of a multigirder concrete bridge under single and multiple moving vehicles is studied based on correlated road surface characteristics. The bridge structure is modeled as grillage beam system. A 3D nonlinear vehicle model with eleven degrees of freedom is utilized according to the HS20-44 truck design loading in the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) specifications. A triangle correlation model is introduced to generate four classes of longitudinal road surface roughness as multi-correlated random processes along deck transverse direction. On the basis of a correlation length of approximately half the bridge width, the upper limits of impact factors obtained under confidence level of 95 percent and side-by-side three-truck loading provide probability-based evidence for the evaluation of AASHTO specifications. The analytical results indicate that a better transverse correlation among road surface roughness generally leads to slightly higher impact factors. Suggestions are made for the routine maintenance of this type of highway bridges.

3D 프린팅시스템과 CAM시스템을 활용한 금형가공에 관한 연구 (Research on Die Machining using 3D Printing and CAM System)

  • The purpose of this research is to investigate optimum machining conditions to improve the quality of die using the CAD/CAM system(Power Shape/Power Mill) and 3D printing. Surface roughness is widely used as an index for processing degree of accuracy. The Power Shape was used to model the shape of product. And the model shape is confirmed by 3D printing system(BFB-3000). Also, tool path and NC-codes were generated using Power Mill. Finally, the product was cut using CNC machine(NBS-2025). The cutting time and surface roughness were measured by measuring instrument. And then this process was repeated by changing the conditions to find optimal machining conditions. The surface roughness behavior with regard to specific factors were analyzed. Through this study, the optimal machining condition can be obtained.

마모특성 및 유한요소해석을 이용한 프레스금형 손상 간접예측 (Indirect Prediction of Surface Damage for a Press Die with Wear Characteristics and Finite Element Stamping Analysis)

  • The damage level of the die surface was predicted by estimating the surface roughness with a finite element analysis and the wear characteristics. Wear and friction tests were conducted to compare the wear characteristics for three kinds of surface treatments - CrN, TiAlN and AlCrN coatings. A prediction model was derived from the surface roughness results with respect to contact pressure and sliding speed which were obtained from the wear test. Surface roughness values for the damage regions of the die surface were compared between the experiments and the prediction model, which shows fairly good agreement with each other.

돌기 접촉 모델과 평균 유동 분석을 이용한 딤플 패턴의 윤활 특성에 관한 연구 (A study on lubrication Properties of a Dimple Pattern using an Average Flow Analysis with a Contact Model of Asperities)

  • To evaluate lubrication properties by surface roughness under boundary and mixed lubrication, a new approach is suggested by both asperity flow and contact with stochastic characteristics. Many researchers already have studied the effect of surface roughness on flow. But, it has become important to research of the phenomenon of asperities contact in surfaces because the growth of asperities contact area under heavy load conditions. In this paper, flow factors in the average flow model derived by Patir and Cheng were used, and a multi-asperity contact model was included to calculate lubrication properties of a surface with a randomly generated rough surface. A numerical analysis using the average Reynolds equation with both the average flow model and the asperity contact model was conducted, and the results were compared with those from previous research. The results showed that the influence of asperities on lubrication and the friction coefficient changed rapidly on application of contact model.
