Purpose: To explore the application prospect of support vector machine (SVM) in supply chain management and its practical application in supply chain performance evaluation practice. Research design, data and methodology: This paper establishes the performance evaluation index system of supply chain management according to the balanced scorecard (BSC) theory, and establishes the SVM model of supply chain management performance evaluation based on the SVM principle. Results: The performance evaluation results of the supply chain of an electric power equipment Co., Ltd. in Harbin established by using the model are consistent with the actual situation, which indicates the nature and accuracy of the possible reflection of the established supply chain performance evaluation model. Conclusions: The results show that SVM model can be used to evaluate enterprise supply chain management performance indicators, and can improve enterprise supply chain management performance, thus demonstrating the effectiveness of the model.

Supply chain performance management is the essential part of various business activities in supply chain management area, and integrating it with general business management improves the supply chain performance. Although supply chain performance management is important and expected of market growth, there are few researches on this area and lack of practical applications. To resolve these problems, this paper presents a new performance management methodology for a supply chain integrating SCOR (Supply Chain Operational Reference) model and Balanced Scorecard (BSC). And we develop a framework of the Supply Chain Performance Management System (SCPMS) based on this methodology, and implement a prototype system.

The purpose of the research to analyze SMEs' technological innovation performance in the Special Region of Yogyakarta based on green supply chains. This study's technology innovation performance is influenced by environmental management practices, green supply chain integration, and supply chain knowledge-sharing. This research is important because many SMEs are underdeveloped in terms of technology innovation performance. Technology innovation performance shows that innovation has a multi-dimensional ecological performance in organizations. Therefore, SMEs' sustainable supply chain could be achieved by managing operations, support, and information by focusing on environmental and social issues to maximize the entire chain. This study used primary data. The number of respondents in this study was 200 SMEs that have implemented green supply chain management practices. The data collection method used was a questionnaire. The data analysis technique tool used is a two-step approach to SEM-AMOS. The results of this study indicate that SMEs are willing to implement a green supply chain to increase their performance. The technological innovation performance model of this study is acceptable. The findings of this research suggest that companies must be encouraged to maintain and increase the implementation of green supply chain integration and better supply chain knowledge-sharing with improved technological innovation performance enhancements.

Changing customer expectation, global competition, and technological requirements force firms to develop agile supply chain capabilities sustaining competitive advantage and business success. To respond, firms are seeking to enhance supply chain agility across the inter-organizational, this study explores the relationship between supply chain competence and supply chain agility on firm performance. The research reviews literature on supply chain capability and classifies capability into two categories as competence and capability based on resource based view and dynamic capabilities. It describes a framework to explore the relationships among supply chain competence (IT flexibility, supply chain flexibility, shared value), supply chain capability (supply chain agility), and firm performance (supply chain performance). The purpose of this study is to find the determinants of supply chain agility and improving firm performance in the perspective of vendor companies. The results indicate strong, positive, and direct relationships between supply chain competence and supply chain agility. Supply chain agility have significant relationships with firm performance. Implication for future research and practice are offered.

This paper examines the international commerce expert capability and business performance in global supply chain management. Based on the analysis of eighty-seven cases, the following results were found. First it was found that CEO's capability of global supply chain management firms and business performance are significantly correlated. Second, supply chain management manager's capability of global supply chain management firms and business performance are not significantly correlated. Third, CEO's capability have more a positive influence business performance than supply chain management manager's capability in global supply chain management firms.

Supply Chain Management is the process of planning, implementing and controlling the operations of the supply chain to satisfy customer requirements as efficiently as possible. It spans all movements and storage of raw materials, work-in-process inventory, and finished goods from point-of-origin to point-of-consumption. Korean Standards Association claims the Supply Chain Quality Management(SCQM) as a win-win model of organizations among the supply chains for the best product/service quality to final customers. The SCQM is focused on quality of product/service and will do much for improving manufacturing performance between customer and suppliers. Consulting-teams make every effort to design suitable solution for constructing solutions and improving the performance. This study is to analyze the performance of SCQM consulting, from July of 2007 to June of 2008, and would provide some guidelines to design the optimal consulting models and develop guidebooks.

Purpose: Due to the rapid growth of e-commerce in Thailand, the operational excellence of distribution service providers has been elevated. Thus, this research investigated the key drivers of operational performance of e-commerce distributors in Thailand. The research contains key variables: the analytics capabilities of an organization, supply chain disruption orientation, innovation capability, and operational performance. Research design, data, and methodology: An online survey is administered to top managers and key personnel (N=425) employed for at least one year in Thailand's top five e-commerce distributors. The sampling methods were conducted using purposive sampling, quota sampling, and convenience sampling. Confirmatory Factor Analysis and Structural Equation Model were applied to analyze and confirm the model's goodness-of-fit and hypothesis testing. Results: The findings reveal that an organization's analytics capabilities significantly affect supply chain disruption orientation and supply chain resilience. Furthermore, operational performance is affected by supply chain disruption, supplier quality management, and innovation capability. Nevertheless, supply chain resilience and digital supply chain have no significant effect on operational performance. Conclusions: The results imply that supply chain digitalization could drive higher operational performance. Distribution businesses are encountering transformation and disruption, which should address the high level of a digital supply chain, innovation, and quality management to maximize their profit margin and delivery service quality.

This paper examined the supply chain management partnerships factors and business performance in textile industry. To build a global network, we should consider the following critical factors such as lead-time reduction, information sharing, and inventory management. The purpose of this study is to focus on QR (Quick Response) of SCM in textile industries to clarify which of the SCM factors contribute to business performance for the SCM firms. Based on the analysis of eighth-six cases, the following results were found. First, partnerships factors of supply chain management have a positively significant influence on responsiveness of supply chain management. Second, partnerships factors of supply chain management have a positively significant influence on flexibility of supply chain management. This study suggests that partnerships are main factors for the business performance. Especially, our empirical evidence shows that capacity of firms practicing SCM, information techniques, and partnerships make the firms' business performance more responsive and flexible.

Chan and Qi (SCM 8/3 (2003) 209) developed an innovative measurement method that aggregates performance measures in a supply chain into an overall performance index. The method is useful and makes a significant contribution to supply chain management. Nevertheless, it can be cumbersome in computation due to its highly complex algorithmic fuzzy model. In aggregating the performance information, weights used by Chan and Qi-which aim to address the imprecision of human judgments-are incompatible with weights in additive models. Furthermore, the default assumption of linearity of its scoring procedure could lead to an inaccurate assessment of the overall performance. This paper addresses these limitations by developing an alternative measurement that takes care of the above. This research integrates three different approaches to multiple criteria decision analysis (MCDA)-the multiattribute value theory (MAVT), the swing weighting method and the eigenvector procedure-to develop a comprehensive assessment of supply chain performance. One case study is presented to demonstrate the measurement of the proposed method. The performance model used in the case study relies on the Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) model level 1. With this measurement method, supply chain managers can easily benchmark the performance of the whole system, and then analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of the supply chain.

This paper examined the supply chain management Integration factors and evironmental performance in Korean industry. As SCM got evolved, the importance of Socially and Environmentally Responsible Supply Chain among the Supply Chain members are increased. we should consider the following critical factors such as SCM Integration, environmental practice, SCM performance and environmental performance. The purpose of this study is to focus on linkage between conventional SCM factors with new environmental factors to clarify the critical factor for the SCM firms who may concerns about environmental performance. Based on the analysis of sixty-two cases, the following results were found. First, SCM Integration factors of supply chain management have a positively significant influence on SCM performance and environmental performance of supply chain management. Second, SCM performance have a positively significant influent on environmental performance. Third, environmental practice factors of supply chain management have a positively significant influence on SCM performance but not significant influence on environmental performance. This study suggests that with high level of Integration and environmental practice, firms may have good result on SCM performance and environmental performance. Especially, our empirical evidence shows that environmental practices without good SCM performance, may not have good result on environmental performance.
