보건소 정보시스템의 활용현황 분석 (A Study on the Utilization Pattern of Information Systems for Health Centers)

  • This study was designed to analyze the status of government policy on the computerization of health centers throughout the country and to identify the factors affecting a successful implementation of the information system. As expected, age and commitment of health center director, computer budgets, user training, and technical supports from the information specialists were the important factors influencing the successful implementation of the system. Compared with the urban health centers, fewer rural health centers installed the system perhaps due to lack budgets and the urban-oriented system features. Moreover, the systems were unevenly distributed according to the geographic regions. Some strategies for successful dissemination of the systems were also suggested.

태국 도이창 커피단지의 농촌지도에 관한 조사연구 (A Study on Agricultural Extension of Doi Chaang Coffee Complex in Thailand)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the major factors of the successful development of Doi Chaang Coffee Complex, Chiang Rai of Thailand. Data were gathered through field survey, library research and internet so on. Interviews were conducted with specialist, community leaders, board member of Doi Chaang Coffee Company from 14 to 19, January 2007. The major factors for the successful development observed were as follows: 1) Successful selection of crops and farming system(SALT) with regards of slopes and meteorological condition; 2) Leadership of the King of Thailand and the chief of Akha in terms of attitudinal change of hill-tribes in agriculture extension; 3) supporting by Royal Project Foundation; 4) Quality control through post harvest management by cooperative system; 5) Cooperation between the Coffee Producers' Cooperatives of Thailand and for the international Doi Chaang Coffee Corporation of Canada in terms of fair trade and so on.

  • e-Learning has brought dramatic changes in education system for many companies in Korea. Many researchers and practitioners believe that e-Learning will be the main educational system for every companies in the world. e-Learning is an alternative education system, which includes computer based learning, web based learning, virtual classroom, and distance learning. e-learning has been expected to impact every educational sectors including Extension services. This study intends to identify and suggest some implications for successful e-Learning implementation of Extension education by investigating the successful factors of enterprises' e-Learning system, where outstanding results have be shown.

야시장 성공요인의 탐색적 연구 (Exploring Success Factors of Night Markets: Utilizing the Diamond Model)

  • Purpose - The objective of the current research is to explore success factors of the 'Night Markets' in Korea. Unlike other countries, where the markets are culturally established based upon various socioeconomic factors, the night markets are relatively new phenomena in Korea and are created by the government's support. Since the first introduction in 2011, now there are 34 Night Markets that are operating or are in the process of operation. Some of them attract nearly 100,000 customers a day, while some are discontinued shortly after the introduction due to lack of visitors. Its influence on the customers' behavioral motives of engaging in various activities in the night markets is increasing. However, because of its brief history in Korea, not much of research has cast attention on them. It is imperative to figure out the success factors of the night markets, so that other night markets can learn the secret of successful operation of the markets. Research design, data, and methodology - The research is based upon both qualitative and quantitative data. Data are collected from multiples levels of the night market related parties. Four groups are chosen: customers, night market sellers, sellers' union and government officers who are in charge of the market. Conventional survey formats are employed for customers and night market sellers. For night market union and government officers, survey and in-depth focus group interview methods are applied. Of the night markets in operation, commonalities of successful or well established ones are elaborated. Results - Night Market operation success factor are sought utilizing Porter's The Competitive Advantage of Nations model (1990). Results are shown that successful night markets commonly have satisfactory 'Factor Conditions.' Specifically, established night markets have either nearby big cities or tourist attractions in common. While these have fair 'Firm Strategy/structure/rivalry,' and 'Related and supporting industries,' they commonly demonstrate weakness in 'Demand conditions.' Conclusions - A successful night market incurs new customers not only to the market itself but also to the traditional periodical market the night markets are within. Government support to the night market can be justified where the circulation of new customer to the night market and the night market to the periodical market mechanism is in effective.

인터넷 설문을 통하여 조사한 여성의 비만도와 자존감, 섭식요인, 우울감의 상관관계와 다이어트진행에 따른 섭식요인의 변화 (Study about Correlation between BMI, Diet-situation and Psycological Factors: Self-esteem, Depression, Restraint Eating, Disinhibition, and Hunger, using Internet Survey)

  • Objectives : This study examined the association between body mass index(BMI) and psychological factors; self-esteem, depression, restraint eating, disinhibition, and hunger. The difference of TFEQ(restraint eating, disinhibition and hunger) was analyzed in variety of current diet situations. Methods : The research was based on a sample of people who visited our website and submit the result of self test(self-esteem n=3183; TFEQ n=5167; BDI n=2457). Results : Self-esteem and BDI was slightly correlated with BMI. There is negative correlation between restraint eating and BMI and positive correlations were observed between hunger and BMI, and disinhibition and BMI. We studied diet situation and eating habits. We divided the sample into 4 groups in accordance with self-submitted result: non-diet group(n=2806), diet-failed group within 3 months group(n=371), maintaining group after successful-diet(n=233), on-going diet group(n=1757) As to restraint eating, non-diet group showed the lowest score in restraint eating and maintaining group after successful-diet showed the highest. The score in disinhibition and hunger was significantly lower in maintaining group after successful-diet group than one in diet-failed group. Conclusion : These results suggest that it would be essential to treat these psychological factors such as depression and self-esteem in weight loss program. Considering the result in diet-situation and TFEQ, we insist that restraint-eating and disinhibition should be controlled. If these psychological factors were not treated in place, even the successful diet might turn out to be a worse situation like binge-eating

  • Purpose - This empirical study, aims to identify the determinants of adoption and acceptance of mobile payment as to understand why it is successful in some countries in Sub-Saharan Africa but failing in others. A comparative study of a successful mobile payment service and a purported failed one was done as to have some insights to the factors affecting acceptance of the technology. Design/methodology/approach - The strength of three notable theories: theory of diffusion of innovation (DOI), the extended unified theory of user acceptance of information technology (UTAUT2) and self-efficacy theory were use. The self-efficacy of government support inclusion as, a moderating variable in the form of infrastructure, securing transaction and price value revealed the relevance of government in the success of mobile payment service. By means of a field survey of 705 subjects in two separate regions of Africa (East and West), the data was collected and use to test the research model. Findings - The study result shows the importance of the moderating factor of government support to the success of mobile payment of any nation. The result also shows the importance of the perception of relative advantage, compatibility, complexity, social influence as already revealed by other studies. Research implications or Originality - Mobile payment success in some part of Sub-Saharan Africa is well known but also suggested to fail in some Sub-Saharan African countries. Buttressing the need for understanding of the factors affecting mobile payment acceptance. This article empirically examined the factors influencing the success of mobile payment, and we implicated that if the implementation of mobile payment is to be successful for mobile commerce in any nation, adoption, acceptance and use by its citizen is imperative.

  • It is very important for the logistics business success that Third-Party Provider maintains a successful logistical relationship with customers. The important factors for the successful logistical relationship are customer orientation, service timeliness, reciprocal dependability, keeping long-term relationships, and logistics cost savings. Therefore, Third-Party Provider establishes the logistics strategy based on the reciprocal dependability with customers and the long-term of view. In addition, the logistics strategy provides the logistics services satisfying customers and saving logistics cost.

  • The demands for knowledge in the rapid social change and the competitive environment are being increased day by day. As to reflect the demands, much scholarly and practical work has been done on the topics of Knowledge Management (KM). However, the study of KM in nonprofit organizations (NPOs) is insufficient. This study, while discussing the nature of NPOs, which have the different purposes of existence and characteristics from for-profit organizations, has the purpose of finding out the special strategy for KM in NPOs. Through understanding the characteristics and the status of NPOs, this study suggests that that the interorganizational KM is the method to lead successful KM in NPOs. And the critical success factors (CSFs) are presented in the three major factors, such as the systematical, the interorganizational and internal consideration factor for organization. This not only provides the successful KM strategy of NPOs but also enlarges the understandings about interorganizational KM.

  • Social Network Services (SNSs) have grown to be new and promising tools of marketing. By referring to researches done on e-mail viral marketing, this paper operationizes SNS viral marketing effectiveness to accurately reflect marketing success in SNS environment, and tries to identify its affecting factors. As potential affecting factors, fan size, advertisement type, existence of engagement elicitation and incentive are identified. By sampling real advertisement postings on Facebook, we showed that fan size, advertisement type, and engagement elicitation are factors affecting SNS viral marketing success. This research expanded the conventional model of viral marketing into SNS settings to improve understanding on SNS viral marketing. Motivation is discussed as an important factor, and this research showed that viral campaign can be more successful when it triggers internal motivation to engage, but not the external motivation. This research could also be a guide for practitioners on how to post a successful advertisement in SNSs.

간호대학생의 자아탄력성 및 가족탄력성이 성공적 노화 인식에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Ego Resilience and Family Resilience on the Perception of Successful Aging in Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: This study aims to examine the relationship between ego resilience, family resilience, and the perception of successful aging in nursing students; additionally, specific factors relating to the perception of successful aging were identified. Methods: The participants comprised 154 nursing students. Data were collected through the administration of self-reported questionnaires. Data analysis was then performed utilizing a t-test, an ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and a multiple regression analysis. Results: Family resilience differed significantly based on the type of residence (p=.020) (i.e., living with grandparents (p=.048)). Perception of successful aging differed significantly based on grade (p<.001). The perception of successful aging showed a positive correlation relative to mode of communication and organizational pattern. The mode of communication accounted for 4.7% of perception of successful aging. Conclusion: The significance of the study on the importance of mode of communication was confirmed by identifying the effects of the perception of successful aging. Nursing students may actively cope with crises through communication; thus, successfully recognizing aging in order to lead a healthy life. Furthermore, having a high perception of successful aging while treating an increasing number of elderly patients at the clinical practice is believed to have a positive effect on patient care.
