Analyzing Public Transport Network Accessibility

  • Due to the traffic congestion and public-oriented transportation policies of Seoul, public transportation is receiving attention and being used increasingly. However, current transport routes configuration is showing unbalanced accessibility throughout the city area creating differences in time, expenses and metal burden of users who travel the same distances. One of the reasons is that transport route planning has been partially empirical and non-quantitative tasks due to lack of relevant methods for assessing the complexity of the transport routes. This paper presents a method to compute the connectivity of public transport system based on the topological structure of the network of transport routes. The main methodological issue starts from the fact that the more transfers take place, the deeper the connectivity becomes making that area evaluated as less advantageous as for public transport accessibility. By computing the connectivity of each bus or subway station with all others in a city, we can quantify the differences in the serviceability of city areas based on the public transportation. This paper is based on the topological interpretation of the routes network and suggests an algorithm that can automate the computation process. The process is illustrated using a simple artificial network data built in a GIS.

  • 철도차량이 운행될 때 회생제동 구간에서는 회생에너지가 발생한다. 1500[V] DC급전시스템에서 회생된 에너지는 가선 전압을 상승시킨다. 상승된 가선전압은 급전시스템에 악영향을 주기 때문에 회생에너지를 활용하는 방법을 이용하여 가선전압을 안정화 한다. 회생에너지 활용방법의 하나인 회생에너지 저장 시스템을 적용할 때 고려해야 될 사항은 회생에너지의 발생양이다. 회생에너지의 양이 적어 활용가치가 떨어지는 구간에서는 적용하지 않기 때문에 회생량에 대한 사전 정보가 필요하다. 회생에너지의 양은 실측을 통해 얻을 수 있지만 측정을 위한 시간이나 고가의 장비를 사용해야하는 단점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 회생에너지 예측이 가능한 직류지하철 시스템의 모델링을 통해 실측시 발생하는 시간 및 비용적인 문제점을 해결할 수 있다. 회생에너지의 예측은 시뮬레이터를 이용하여 구배 및 곡선, 차량 데이터 등의 운전특성을 바탕으로 이루어진다.

  • Based on the hedonic pricing method, this paper investigates the effect of air quality on the apartment price in Seoul. The empirical results show that both the structural variables such as years of construction, heating system, and size of apartment complex and accessability variables such as distances to subway station and parks provide statistically significant effects on the price of apartment, Especially, the dendity of sulfurous acid gas ($SO_2$) and ozone ($O_3$) in the air, indicating air quality, negatively affect the price of apartment, This implies that as the condition of air quality to become worse, apartment price decreases, Therefore, when the degree of aversion of apartment residents against the air pollution affects the formation of apartment's market price, the MWPT(Marginal Willingness to Pay) in order to improve the air quality 10% has been estimated as 36,000~39,000Won per month.

  • Bimodal Tram is a new public transportation system combined subway with bus and consists of variable electric equipment to accomplish the comfortness, reliability, safety and so on. One of them is VCU(Vehicle Control Unit) for Performing driver's cmmand and monitoring the state of other equipment. To lessen the wiring and the interference of outer electromagnetic noises is very important things for bimodal tram with complicated configuration of electric equipments. This paper has investigated the application of CAN(Controller Area Network) communication method for VCU which has display, central unit and several nodes that are connected with other electric equipments(HVAC, door controller etc). We designed and manufactured the prototype of VCU which eventually will be installed on bimodal tram being developed in KRRI at present.

  • 본 논문에서는 안드로이드 스마트폰을 위한 국내 수도권이 아닌 부산 지하철 정보 시스템을 구현하였다. 본 시스템에서는 각 지하철의 시간표를 볼 수 있으며, 노선도를 제공하여 출발역과 도착역에 대한 최단경로, 최소환승, 비용을 알 수 있다. 특히 GPS와 연동하여 현재 위치에서 가장 가까운 지하철역을 검색할 수 있다. 그리고 임베디드 보드에 직접 탑재해서 테스트 함으로써 모바일기기에 대한 서비스 가능성을 확인 할 수 있다. 이 시스템은 지리에 익숙하지 않은 장소에서 유용하며 차후 부산지역이 아닌 다른 지역 또한 서비스 할 수 있으므로 그 확장성을 기대 할 수 있다.

  • In this study, we studied the change plan essentially used for improving the existing railroad signal system. For mixed installation with the existing equipment by introducing new equipment in the city railroad currently operated, it is required to establish a plan depending on the change and to present a plan for change. For the change, since it is necessary to classify ground equipment and onboard equipment and change must be carried out considering performance and functions of each equipment, we classified and studied each equipment for plans of change.

  • This paper presents capability calculation methods for regenerative inverter in DC electrified transit system. The proposed method uses a train performance and power simulation tool to calculate the regenerative power generated in the DC substation and decide the capability of regenerative inverter. The capability of regenerative inverters for Seoul subway line 5, 6, 7, and 8 has been calculated.

  • This paper presented a literature review and investigation analysis results of total 19 present guide book and provisions of maintenance and management system in existing railway bridges to development of urban maglev track structures inspection manual. This research carried out a cooperated research subject 3-1, development a design code and maintenance and management inspection manual for urban maglev track structures, of the Center for Urban Maglev Program. Three types of track structures were includes as a major analytical parameter together with railroad, high speed railroad, subway and light rail transit. Bridges were analyzed a general rules, investigation, evaluation, repair and strengthen method as a key aspect. And rail were analyzed examination and maintenance also. This analysis results show that the track structures evaluation are based on the test and examination results, and repaired or strengthened consideration of deterioration, track irregularity and materials according to provision requirements.

  • 도시철도는 대표적인 대중교통으로써, 하루에도 수백만명의 승객들이 이용하고 있다. 따라서 도시철도를 이용하는 승객들의 안전이 보장되어야 하며, 안전한 서비스 제공 및 예방 노력이 제반되어야 한다. 이를 위해 설치된 폐쇄회로 CCTV와 상황실은 넓은 구역내의 모든 위험상황을 감지하고 대응하기에 미흡하다. 따라서 이러한 영상감시의 미흡한 점을 보완하여 기설치된 CCTV를 통해 위험구역내 보행자를 자동으로 인지하여 큰 사고를 미연에 방지하고자 역사내 지능형 영상감시 시스템을 설계하였다.
