FDS를 이용한 지하철 객실 화재 시 승강장 제연조건의 적정성 평가 (Evaluation of the Appropriateness of Smoke Control Conditions of Platform at the Subway Fire by using FDS)

  • 지하철에서는 전 세계적으로 크고 작은 화재가 지속적으로 발생되고 있다. 대구지하철 화재에서 볼 수 있듯이 독성가스와 연기에 의한 가시거리 감소로 많은 인명피해가 발생하였다. 본 논문에서는 부산 지하철 만덕역에서 열차 화재가 발생할 경우 승강장에서의 제연상황(열차문의 개방, 터널의 제연설비의 가동, 방화문의 작동)에 따라 연기의 전파거동을 FDS를 사용하여 분석하였다. 계산 결과 터널부의 제연설비를 가동하였을 경우보다는 가동하지 않았을 경우가 피난로 확보에 효과가 있었다. 또한, 열차문의 개방 형태는 승강장의 대피로 측의 문은 모두 개방하고 화재객차의 선로측 문만을 개방하였을 경우가 모두 개방한 경우보다 제연 효율이 증가하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한, 승강장의 방화문이 정상적으로 가동하는 것이 중요하다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

지하철역 캐노피의 설치현황에 따른 디자인 평가에 관한 연구 - 대구광역시 지하철역 캐노피를 대상으로 - (A Study on the Evaluation according to the Situation of Subway Station Canopy - Focused on the Subway Station in Daegu -)

  • This study is subway station canopy evaluation to improve the landscape of a street furniture design. From a survey of the professional abstracted the design elements of subway station canopy in Daegu. And then, it practiced a canopy design appreciation by the analysis of appreciation items. The results are as follows. First, this research analyzes each quality a classified by the four characteristics at the subway station. In general station case, the slope roof was consistent in used to be unified. If the symbol of the express station wasn't common in cross-section or material. In addition, the design evaluation in the lower canopy were evaluated. Therefore, in case of the city installed in the canopy, the characteristic of city gateway and the symbolic characteristic of a design that is required. Second, subway station canopy existed in widely opened site come out a lower rating about safety. Therefore, considering the safety light device or system need to do. Third, if the horizontal or sloping roof shape come out in a lower rating, the highly evaluated curve shape is considered to apply. Forth, a structure material of the canopy was highly evaluated the aluminum composite panels and structural steel pipes. Therefore, to improve a beauty of the city, to give rhythm to a structure material of the canopy of the aluminum composite panels and structural steel pipes will be desirable to use as the main ingredient.

한국 여성의 지하철 내 성범죄두려움 분석 (Analysis on the Korean Women's Fear of Sexual Crime in Seoul Metropolitan Subway System)

  • 이 연구에서는 오늘날 대중교통의 중심이 되는 지하철 내에서 발생되는 여성을 대상으로 한 성범죄에 대한 여성들의 두려움에 대한 특성을 분석하였다. 즉, 범죄 두려움 중 지하철 내 여성의 성범죄두려움에 대해서 실증적으로 조사를 실시하였다. 따라서 이 연구의 목적은 첫째, 지하철 이용 여성의 지하철 이용 및 옷차림 등에 대한 실태 분석, 둘째, 범죄정보에 대한 관심과 일반적인 범죄에 대한 인식 정도에 대해서 살펴보고, 셋째, 지하철 내 성범죄두려움의 특성을 분석하고 마지막으로 평소 옷차림 선호, 범죄관심, 범죄인식 등 주요한 요인과 성범죄두려움의 관계에 대해서 실증적으로 분석하는 것이다. 이 연구는 사실의 발견을 위한 양적인 연구방법으로서 현실 분석적이며, 기술적인 연구방법과 실증적 연구방법을 병행해서 사용하였으며, 서울 지하철을 이용하는 일반여성 520명을 대상으로 조사를 실시하여 509명의 설문지를 최종 통계분석자료로 사용하였다. 이 연구의 조사결과 지하철 내에서 여성이 느끼는 성범죄의 두려움의 정도는 다소 높은 수준이라는 것을 알 수 있었으며, 그 중에서도 월소득 수준이 높은 여성 일수록, 그리고 전세나 자가에 거주하는 여성 일수록 지하철 내에서 성범죄두려움을 더욱 많이 느끼는 것으로 조사되었다. 그러나 지하철 내 성범죄의 유형별로 그 발생 가능성이 비교적 낮다고 판단되는 성범죄 유형에 대해서는 두려움의 정도가 낮게 나타났다. 마지막으로 평소 여성의 화려한 옷차림 선호, 범죄정보에 대한 관심 그리고 일반적인 범죄발생의 수준에 대한 인식과 지하철 내 성범죄두려움의 관계를 분석하였는데, 주요한 요인 모두 지하철 내 여성의 성범죄두려움과 관계가 있으며 또한 영향을 주는 요인인 것으로 나타났다.

도시철도 승강설비의 가용성, 유지보수성 및 안전성 입증 (Validation of Availability, Maintainability and Safety for Subway Elevating Equipment)

  • Purpose: In order to fulfill the RAMS (Reliability Availability Maintainability and Safety) requirements in Korean railway systems, specific target metrics should be measured and met the requirements when ordering a new system. This paper presents a procedure to predict and demonstrate the availability, maintainability and safety of subway elevators, escalators and PSD (platform screen doors) systems. Methods: The system manufacturer predicts availability and maintainability with lab and field tested data. After installation, availability and maintainability are demonstrated based on the actual operational data. The data was collected from the FRACAS (Failure Report and Corrective Action System). Results: Methods and process of assessing and analyzing the availability, maintainability and safety are presented for elevating services and PSD systems. The data obtained through the actual operation of the equipment is analyzed and maintained to predict the RAMS based on the component and system level failure data acquired. Conclusion: This study presented an application using IEC 62278 and operational data which can be used in the design and development stage to achieve the RAMS target value of the subway elevators, escalators and PSD systems.

지하철 사고 감시를 위한 스테레오 비디오 부호화 기법 (Stereoscopic Video Coding for Subway Accident Monitoring System)

  • Passenger safety is a primary concern of railway system but, it has been urgent issue that dozens of people are killed every year when they falloff from train platforms. Recently, advancements in IT have enabled applying vision sensors to railway environments, such as CCTV and stereo camera sensors. In this paper, we propose a stereoscopic video coding scheme for subway accident monitoring system. The proposed scheme is designed for providing flexible video among various displays, such as control center, station employees and train driver. We uses MPEG-2 standard for coding the left-view sequence and IBMDC for predicting the P- and B-types of frames of the right-view sequence. IBMDC predicts matching block by interpolating both motion and disparity predicted macroblocks. To provide efficient stereoscopic video service. we define both temporally and spatially scalable layers for each eye's-view by using the concept of Spatio-Temporal scalability. According to the experimental results. we expect the proposed functionalities will play a key role in establishing highly flexible stereoscopic video codec for ubiquitous display environment where devices and network connections are heterogeneous.

  • It is a proven fact with the opening of the Seoul metro line number 1 in 1974 traffic congestion on the roads has decreased and the efficiency of people transportation in general has greatly been enhanced in the downtown and surrounding areas of Seoul. Even today construction of new subway lines are under way and many more are being planned due to the easy access to stations, short waiting and average travel times, compared with personal vehicles, contributing to the efficiency of the public transportation systems that are linking the downtown areas and also the intercity systems in moving passengers during rush hour and times of special event. Since the labour costs of the train operator in any large city based subway system accounts for a major part of the operating costs per kilometer and to ensure cost efficient operations, especially during non-peak hours, it is necessary to implement an unmanned(auto-driven) subway system. In order to implement such a system it is imperative that the on-board and wayside signalling control systems be fully automated as well. Only through proper examination of safety procedures not only by the AUGT(Automated Urban Guided Transport)system but also by ail the international standards organizations involved can safely and stability be ensured.

  • It is increased that need of broadband multimedia service to make useful environment for user and to support the operation of railway system. So study of integrated data transmission in a subway and railway is activated. The research deals with pass loss characteristics of 18GHz microwave that is assigned frequency of integrated data transmission in a subway and railway. It is used sample integrated transmission system in subway and railway of KRRI(korea railroad research Institute) at the tunnel and road. Specification of test sample system is blow. It use OFDM modulation, Wireless frequency is 18GHz and 19GHz, Maximum output power is 20dBm, Receive sensitivity is -90dBm. The pass loss exponent and standard variation of road and tunnel is analyzed.

블루투스를 이용한 위치기반 지하철 정보 서비스 (Location Based Subway Information Service Using Bluetooth)

  • The subway passengers are usually alert to the current location of the train in order not to miss the destination or transfer stations. The Global Positioning System (GPS), although expensive, can give an alarm if properly programmed, but cannot receive the satellite signals, underground. Therefore, a novel approach to context-aware location-based subway information system is motivated. The passengers, who are equipped with mobile devices such as laptop, PDA, and mobile phone as clients of the Personal Area Network (PAN), request the Bluetooth connection to the server which is installed in each car of the train. While the sorrel broadcasts the location-based information including the previous station, the current velocity of the train, the distance and time to the next station, the clients provide additional services based on the recognized context of the information, and what the passengers individually want. The services are spontaneous and autonomous rather than passive. The services include not only the information on the nearby stations, exit numbers, connection buses but also the location-based alarms which can be set specific to various personal requests, and sounded by the location of the train rather than time. Whereas the arrival time may not be accurate due to the delays of the train, the location can be accurately traced and broadcast by the server. Also, the clients do not need any expensive systems like GFS. Towards validating the proposed approach, we implemented a Bluetooth PAN including a PC server, two PDA clients and a laptop client. We modeled a train on the Incheon Subway Line #1 and a train on the Seoul-to-Incheon Line on the server, simulated the virtual trains together with the real clients. and verified that all the services were successfully provided.

빅데이터 분석을 이용한 지하철 혼잡도 예측 및 추천시스템 (Subway Congestion Prediction and Recommendation System using Big Data Analysis)

  • 지하철은 버스와 택시에 비해 많은 승객들을 안전하고 신속하게 대량 수송할 수 있는 미래 지향적인 교통수단이다. 지하철 이용자의 증가에 따른 혼잡도 증가는 지하철을 쾌적하게 이용할 수 있는 시민들의 권리를 저해하는 요인 중의 하나이다. 따라서 지하철 내의 혼잡도 예측은 승객의 이용 편의성과 쾌적성을 극대화할 수 방법 중 하나이다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 지하철 혼잡도를 다중 회귀 분석으로 예측하고 빅데이터 처리를 통한 실시간으로 혼잡도를 모니터링하고, 자신의 출발역과 도착역 정보뿐만 아니라 다양한 정보를 추가하여 개인화된 혼잡도 예측 시스템을 제안한다. 제안된 혼잡도 예측 시스템을 적용한 결과 예측혼잡도가 실제혼잡도에 비해 평균 81% 정확도를 보였다. 본 논문에서 제안한 예측 및 추천 어플리케이션을 지하철 고객에 적용하면 지하철 혼잡도 예측과 개인 사용자의 편리성에 도움이 될 것으로 예상된다.

The Effect of Platform Screen Doors on PM10 Levels in a Subway Station and a Trial to Reduce PM10 in Tunnels

  • $PM_{10}$ concentrations were measured at four monitoring sites at the Daechaung station of the Seoul subway. The four locations included two tunnels, a platform, and a waiting room. The outside site of the subway was also monitored for comparison purposes. In addition, the effect of the platform screen doors (PSDs) recently installed to isolate the $PM_{10}$ in a platform from a tunnel were evaluated, and a comparison between $PM_{10}$ levels during rush and non-rush hours was performed. It was observed that $PM_{10}$ levels in the tunnels were generally higher than those in the other locations. This might be associated with the generation of $PM_{10}$ within the tunnel due to the train braking and wear of the subway lines with the motion of the trains, which promotes the mixing and suspension of particulate matter. During this tunnel study, it was observed that the particle size of $PM_{10}$ ranged from 1.8 to 5.6 ${\mu}m$. It was revealed that the $PM_{10}$ levels in the tunnels were significantly increased by the PSDs, while those in the platform and waiting room decreased. As a result, in order to estimate the effect of ventilation system on $PM_{10}$ levels in the tunnels, fans with inverters were operated. It was found that the concentration of $PM_{10}$ was below 150 ${\mu}g/m^3$ when the air flow rate into a tunnel was approximately 210,000-216,000 CMH.
