  • Recently, innovative process has been investigated in order to replace the conventional high-cost micro patterning processes on the electronic products. To produce desirable profit margins from this low cost products, printed circuit board(PCB), will require dramatic changes in the current manufacturing philosophies and processes. Innovative process using metal nano particles replaces the current industry standard of subtractive etched of copper as a highly efficient way to produce robust circuitry on low cost substrates. An advantage of using metal nano particles process in patterned conductive line manufacturing is that the process is additive. Material is only deposited in desired locations, thereby reducing the amount of chemical and material waste. Simply, it just draws on the substrate as glass epoxy or polyimide with metal nano particles. Particles, when their size becomes nano-meter scale, show some specific characteristics such as enhanced reactivity of surface atoms, decrease in melting point, high electric conductivity compared with the bulk. Melting temperature of metal gets low, the metal nano particles could be formated onto polymer substrates and sintered under $300^{\circ}C$, which would be applied in PCB. It can be getting the metal line of excellent electric conductivity.

Identification of Genes Involved in Primordial-primary Follicle Transition by Suppression Subtractive Hybridization

  • Recruitment of primordial follicles(PMF) is crucial for female fertility. however, factors and mechanisms that regulate this process is poorly understood. The present study was conducted to obtain an inclusive view of the gene expression and to identify novel factors and their pathways of regulating PMF arrest and/or growth initiation. Ovaries from one-day neonatal(consists of oocyte and PMF) and five-day old(consists of PMF and primary follicles, PRIF) mice were collected, either total RNA or mRNA was isolated, and suppression subtractive hybridization(SSH) was used to isolate and clone genes that differentially expressed in day 1 and day 5 ovaries. Confirmation that some of these genes are differentially expressed in PMF and/or in PRIF was accomplished by using laser captured microdissection(LCM), RT-PCR. in situ hybridization(ISH) and/or immunohistochemistry(IHC). In toto, 357 clones were sequenced and analyzed by BLAST and RIKEN program. Sequences of 330 clones significantly matched database entries while 27 clones were novel. Forty-two and 47 different genes were identified as differentially expressed in day 1 and day 5 ovaries, respectively, while 7 genes were expressed in both stages of ovaries. Day 5-subtracted library included several genes known as markers far growing follicles, such as ZP2, MATER, and fetuin. Among the genes with assigned functions, 23.8% was associated with cell cycle/apoptosis regulation, 7.1% with cellular structure, 11.9% with metabolism, 26.2% with signal transduction, and 31.0% with gene/protein expression in day 1; while 10.6%, 17.0%, 23.5%, 25.5%, and 23.4% in day 5, respectively. Genes such as GDF-8, Lats2, Septin2, and Weel were the highly expressed genes in PMF, while HSP84, Laminin2, MATER, MTi7, PTP, and Wrn were highly expressed genes in PRIF. We have successfully discovered list of genes expressed in day 1 and day 5 ovaries and confirmed that some of them are differentially expressed in PMF and/or PRIF. Gene expression profile from the present study would provide insight for the future study on the mechanism(s) involved in primordial-primary follicular transition.   • The CAD-CAM technique is a rapidly developing field in the dental field and is applied to various fields of prosthetic treatment. Among them, the manufacturing of dentures using the milling technique classified as subtractive manufacturing is one of the commercialized digital full denture manufacturing methods. At the same time, it is possible to more efficiently manufacture a metal framework for implant overdenture by selective laser sintering or melting technique classified as an additive manufacturing method. The purpose of this article is to describe the fabrication of CAD-CAM maxillary complete denture and mandibular implant overdenture as well as its features.

  • The purpose of this study is to look for the plan of reconstructing a textbook through error analysis and the process of its correction in numbers and operations of the first grade. The Research materials are collected and analyzed through the journal about every lessons, the recording sheets of students' activity, the recording videotapes during lessons, the individual interview and observation. This study investigated 4 errors which are useful for reconstructing textbook, the errors of understanding relation between numerical expression and number line, the errors of drawing-strategy, the errors of understanding relation between additive expression and subtractive expression, the errors of subtraction has to be regrouped. The errors are classified into some types and analyzed focusing on content of each error. Reinstructing are carried out based on material analyzed for correcting errors.

  • In order to keep the normal pregnancy, a number of gene products are required at the feto-matemal interface. We have isolated approximately 30 genes, involved in keeping the normal pregnancy, via subtractive hybridization and RT-PCR analyses of cDNAs from the chorionic villi of normal and RPL patients. Characterizing their functions will help us to understand the process of establishing and maintaining pregnancy. In addition, more detailed studies of their expression in normal and RPL patients are required to evaluate their clinical relevance. Further identification of genes aberrantly expressed in RPL patients will help the prognosis of the pregnancy, identifying pregnancies with a high risk of miscarriage and enabling management of those pregnancies.

  • Since a 5-axis machine tool has two rotary axes, it offers numerous advantages, such as flexible accessibility, longer tool life, better surface finish, and more accuracy. Moreover, it can conduct whole machining by rotating the rotary feed axes while setting the fixture at once without re-fixing in contrast to conventional 3-axis machining. However, it is difficult to produce complicated products that have a hollow shape. In contrast, 3D printing can produce an object with a complicated hollow shape easily and rapidly. However, because of layer thickness and shrinkage, its surface finish and dimensional accuracy are not adequate. Therefore, this study proposes hybrid technology by integrating the advantages of these two manufacturing processes. 3D printing was used as the additive manufacturing rapidly in the whole body, and 5-axis machining was used as the subtractive manufacturing accurately in the joining and driving places. The reliability of the proposed technology was verified through a comparison with conventional technology in the aspects of processing time, surface roughness. and dimensional accuracy.

  • Music is composed of the sound of many instruments. Among them, the sound of the human voice naturally stands out to us and immediately connects with the listener. However, A lot of different steps go into perfectly mixing a vocal, but I'm going to focus on the most important step, equalization. In this paper, starting with the concept and the type of EQ for the requirements associated with the EQ's work and will know about when and how to use subtractive EQ, additive EQ during the recording and mixing process. EQ is one if the most important tools for mixing, especially when dealing with vocals. The control that EQ's offer allows you work, boosting and cutting to fit the vocal perfectly into the mix. The key to get a professional sounding vocal every time is to always keep in mind what you're trying to achieve stylistically and for it, using reference track is very effective. In addition to EQing, there are a variety of complex working steps such as compression, reverb, chorus, delay, adjusted for the effects of the work and harmonies of backing vocals and that are also very important task. The work of EQing is the beginning of the mixing process, among other things, need to be a detailed work throughout the consideration of the above points to its importance is greater relationship.

Shape Optimization for Lightweight of the Metal 3D Printing Based Hybrid Machining Center (금속 적층 기반 하이브리드 머시닝센터의 경량화를 위한 형상 최적화에 관한 연구)

  • In the fourth industrial revolution, the demand for metal three-dimensional (3D) printing technology is rapidly increasing. Metal 3D printing is an efficient method for manufacturing products because the method reduces material waste compared to subtractive manufacturing. In addition, products with complex shapes, such as turbine blades, can be easily produced using metal 3D printing because the method offers a high degree of freedom. However, due to the long production time of metal 3D printing, mass production is impossible, and post-processing is necessary due to its low precision. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a new hybrid process that can efficiently process metals and to develop a metal 3D-printing-based hybrid processing system technology to secure high processing precision and manufacture complex shapes. In this study, the structural stability of a metal 3D printer based hybrid machining center was analyzed through structural analysis before its development. In addition, we proposed a design modification that can reduce the weight and increase the stiffness of the hybrid machining center by performing shape lightning based on the structural analysis results.

  • A three-dimensional physical part can be fabricated from a three-dimensional digital model in a layer-wise manner via additive manufacturing (AM) technology, which is different from the conventional subtractive manufacturing technology. Numerous studies have been conducted to take advantage of the AM opportunities to penetrate bespoke custom product markets, functional engineering part markets, volatile low-volume markets, and spare part markets. Nevertheless, materials issues, machines issues, product issues, and qualification/certification issues still prevent the AM technology from being extensively adopted in industries. The present study briefly reviews the standard classification, technological structures, industrial applications, technological advances, and qualification/certification activities of the AM technology. The economics, productivity, quality, and reliability of the AM technology should be further improved to pass through the technology adoption lifecycle of innovation technology. The AM technology is continuously evolving through the introduction of PM materials, hybridization of AM and conventional manufacturing technologies, adoption of process diagnostics and control systems, and enhanced standardization of the whole lifecycle qualification and certification methodology.

Recent advances in the reconstruction of cranio-maxillofacial defects using computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing

  • With the development of computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) technology, it has been possible to reconstruct the cranio-maxillofacial defect with more accurate preoperative planning, precise patient-specific implants (PSIs), and shorter operation times. The manufacturing processes include subtractive manufacturing and additive manufacturing and should be selected in consideration of the material type, available technology, post-processing, accuracy, lead time, properties, and surface quality. Materials such as titanium, polyethylene, polyetheretherketone (PEEK), hydroxyapatite (HA), poly-DL-lactic acid (PDLLA), polylactide-co-glycolide acid (PLGA), and calcium phosphate are used. Design methods for the reconstruction of cranio-maxillofacial defects include the use of a pre-operative model printed with pre-operative data, printing a cutting guide or template after virtual surgery, a model after virtual surgery printed with reconstructed data using a mirror image, and manufacturing PSIs by directly obtaining PSI data after reconstruction using a mirror image. By selecting the appropriate design method, manufacturing process, and implant material according to the case, it is possible to obtain a more accurate surgical procedure, reduced operation time, the prevention of various complications that can occur using the traditional method, and predictive results compared to the traditional method.
