  • Elementary students can easy access to the smartphones and also can have been interested with them. Elementary learning tools to use smartphones are effective at the learning. So, Smartphones learning tools used in scientific experiments, the learning effect would be nice. Elementary school students to learn speed learning areas is a difficult concept. Therefore, the speed of learning application for smartphones is required. In this study, we develop a module for learning speed. This module that use the acceleration sensors of smart phones extract data from a given point in time, calculated by integrating speed. In addition, the distance is calculated. Students experiment at speed so that you can immediately see the changes in the module proposed in this study has the advantage. Measure the speed of the existing tools students again need to calculate the speed of a hassle to experiment and measured data values are separated. That the module proposed in this study is expected to be able to overcome the disadvantage.

  • Government Publications are published to keep records of governmental activities and performances. In a rapidly changing information-oriented society, it is badly required for the operation system of government publications and a library to be effectively managed with government publications for satisfying 'right to know' of people and improving the obligation of government to 'let people know.' Accordingly, the purpose of this paper is to analyze such five research items as the situation of the publication and distribution of, government publications, the operation system of the publications in library, the number of publications regarding secondary information sources for the publications, and the legal deposit of the publications in the National Library, in order to proceed with a subject as to how much the government publication is satisfying 'right to know' of people. The research findings were suggested as follow : 1) Despite the fact that the publication of government publications has been gradually increased every year in numbers and kinds, it is unfortunately pointed out that the publications, distributions and sellings of them were not well organized and systematic. That is, the government publications had not been published more than 1.47% of all publications in number. Moreover, more than the half of the publications were non-periodically or annually published. To make the matter worse, it was not easy to get an access to the publications because of the publications not to be sold. 2) It a n.0, ppears that people could not use the publications efficiently because the library and administrative document office did not pay sufficient attention to public relations for all sorts of government publications. Not only that, there were not enough numbers of publications regarding such secondary information sources as bibliography, index and catalog. A speedy searching capacity for the information gave rise to another serious problem which the government publications could not be effectively used. 3) It is legally stated that all sorts of government publication should be deposited to the National Libraries. However, the law was not properly put into force because of lack of understanding of government agencies about the law.

  • Methods of delivering products to consumers do not act as less important factor than creative activities to create new product designs. Mobilizing various psychological elements based on human instinct and desire, fashion industry presents a product as an object of envy, gaining viewers' attention. Here, the viewer does not simply take the product as an object to view, but also imagine transformation it will bring. The study of the cause and effects of the interaction, which is found in the relationship between "the viewer" and "what is viewed" is an important factor that needs to be identified in the phase of creation as well as in the aspect of delivery. The relationship between the perceiver and what is perceived features in designs, product advertisements, related articles, and fashion shows in modern fashion, serving as a medium that enables the humans, who must inevitably exist between the two poles such as mind and body, the subject and the object, the ego and non-ego, and the reality and an ideal, to communicate between the poles. Humans cannot do arbitrary acts or make arbitrary selections only as they access to foreign things through instinct, desire, or experienced perception, and they are sometimes positioned passive by things. In the background, as there are human dual characteristics in which they are expressed as the ego and another ego who exists inside of the ego, they not only view an object, but also become an object to be viewed. Many products in modern fashion, as the objects of reciprocal transposition, grow giving illusions to humans. Having a desire for such objects is human's instinct and normal act to keep the life balanced between the reality and an ideal, which is based on the activation of reality function. Furthermore, freely acting rather than ignoring or overcoming the desire may be the act of retrieving one's ownership to the ego.

  • To evaluate the accuracy of UAV photogrammetry for Hyangho coast, eastern coast of Korea, we conducted a field experiment wherein UAV photogrammetry test was repeated three times. Since the Haygho coast is located within a military reservation zone, it was necessary to obtain permission to gain access to the beach and to have sensitive aerial photographs showing military facilities inspected and cropped. The standard deviation of the UAV shooting position between the three tests was less than 1 m, but repeatability of footprint on the ground was low due to wind-driven variability of the UAV pose. Self-calibrating bundle adjustment(SCBA) of implementing non-metric camera calibration was failed in one test. In two tests, the vertical error was twice as large as the pixel size except for those areas that were subject to security inspection and cropping. Given the problems that can arise with regard to the repeatability of the shooting area as well as the possibility of failure with regard to SCBA, we strongly recommend that UAV photogrammetry in coastal areas needs to be repeated at least twice.

  • To understand the use of the ebooks among undergraduate students, a questionnaire was devised and collected data from 466 respondents. The level of ebook and its service awareness appears to be low, and only about 30% of the students have used ebooks in the past. Students access ebooks primarily through the library homepage. 73% of the users read 3 ebooks and below. The subject and area of reading is fairly spread, however literary works and genre fiction were most popular And the purpose is split into academic and private reading. Most of the users lack of knowledge about additional functions. Overall satisfaction level is low. Discomfort and ebooks illiteracy constitute the major reasons of nonuse, however about 88% of the nonusers show willingness to use in the future. According to the interview, active users are familiar with the screen reading as well as perceived advantages of ebooks. Nontheless, their satisfaction level is still low. Based on the results, recommendations for creating awareness, education, production development and service evaluation are suggested to promote the ebooks use.

  • This study analyzed changes to copyright policies in KCI journals comparatively using the previous 2 research results published in 2008 and 2016 and then gave insight into the meaning of the changes. The results of the study are as follows: Journals making the subject of copyright public had increased from 34% in 2008 to 67% in 2016. Journals transferring copyright from authors remained almost the same, with only a slight increase from 90% to 91% in the same period. Journals using the term 'publication rights' instead of 'copyright' had decreased; on the other hand, journals using the term 'reproduction right' and 'right of transmission' had increased. Use of copyright transfer agreement had increased from 25% to 50%; on the other hand, self archiving policy remained almost the same, decreasing slightly from 13% to 12%. This study argues that these changes mean the establishment of copyright industrialization for Korean journals and that the publishing bodies appear to be the most powerful main agent among stakeholders participating in scholarly publishing in this process.

  • The purpose of this article is to present comparative analysis of electronic information purchase in Korean university libraries relative to university libraries overseas. An overall comparison is made between libraries in Korea and in the U.S. in terms of their budget for electronic information. In addition, we compared the lists of web databases in service among three top-tier Korean universities and nine foreign universities(6 in the U.S., 1 in Canada, 1 in Australia, and 1 in China). The findings show that Korean universities tend to subscribe heavily to electronic journals packages than competing libraries overseas. However, in terms of providing subject-based reference databases, our libraries are far behind even mediocre institutions in these countries. We propose a number of recommendations to strengthen national licensing of electronic scholarly materials as a way to enhance access to electronic information through university libraries.

  • XML architecture is important to wireless or wired presentation. It is also important for data exchange between businesses. XML forces the separation of content from style and gives wired or wireless devices flexibility for interpretation. Separation of content, style, and logic is key to advanced architecture. XML can be exchanged among databases on multiple systems with presentation on wired or wireless devices. An XML schema might need to be defined, or an established DTD might need to be transformed to access a relational database on the server. The purpose of this study is to generate XML documents such as DTD, XML schema, RDB mapping using Tagfree's XML developer tools in order to experience whole processes mentioned above. Overall understanding of data structures of and database processing with XML documents, which is essential to XML programming and database processing, can be accomplished with this study without much endeavor to learn complex XML syntax. The future study can be extended on the subject of web programming with DOM or SAX API.
