Memcached, commonly used to speed up the data access in big-data and Internet-web applications, is a system software of the distributed-cache mechanism. But it is subject to the severe challenge of the loss of recently uncommitted updates in the case where the Memcached servers crash due to some reason. Although the replica scheme and the disk-log-based replay mechanism have been proposed to overcome this problem, they generate either the overhead of the replica synchronization or the persistent-storage overhead that is caused by flushing related logs. This paper proposes a scheme of backing up the write requests (i.e., set and add) on the Memcached client side, to reduce the overhead resulting from the making of disk-log records or performing the replica consistency. If the Memcached server fails, a timestamp-based recovery mechanism is then introduced to replay the write requests (buffered by relevant clients), for regaining the lost-data updates on the rebooted Memcached server, thereby meeting the data-consistency requirement. More importantly, compared with the mechanism of logging the write requests to the persistent storage of the master server and the server-replication scheme, the newly proposed approach of backing up the logs on the client side can greatly decrease the time overhead by up to 116.8% when processing the write workloads.

An aim of this study is to analyze status of information literacy and propose some ways strengthening its role as a cross-curriculum. Analyses show that information literacy is a basic competency of creative person composing the educational human figure under the national curriculum in Korea. In the school knowledge, its position is a procedural knowledge to create new ideas, also it is a interdisciplinary thinking skill under the instructional method. Therefore, information literacy instruction covering media and ICT literacy should exist as a main cross-curriculum to be a selective subject in the national curriculum. And finally, one of learning skills, its definition should be cleary stated such as information research and access, information analyses and interpretation, information synthesize and presentation.

The purpose of this study is to provide for efficient health information service which doctors may use for their better medical practice and scientific research. 177 doctors were surveyed from December 3 to December 21th in 2007. This study mentioned activities of information need and use that were evaluated by information gathering methods used, information source, frequency of use, and degree of satisfaction toward library services. Doctors showed that they need information mainly to know the recent research results in their interesting subject field and to treat a patient. Doctors trended to obtain information through internet search because easy access and easy use, accuracy and up to dateness of information use. Doctors trended to seek information mainly through library, but they showed relatively low frequency of library use because they do not know how to use it.

This paper provides a brief overview of bibliographic relationships, a analysis of bibliographic relationships' characteristics of 2,940 bibliographic records on the Five Classics and Four Books taken from Korean National Bibliography, and a methodology for applying the FRBR model based on analysis of the samples. As results of analysis, the work type ranked high particularly in the commentary, translation with notes, and translation on the original works etc. I suggested adopting conception of supper works, that is, family of works and using uniform title as a connective device between the works, that is, an authorized access point of RDA to apply FRBR model of the Five Classics and Four Books. Also I exemplified the description of uniform title in 630 field as subject added entry.

This paper analyzes the existing copyright management and copyright sharing model and discusses the limitations. It then proposes a consortium Blockchain-based copyright management model in which the service platform participates as a node, and discusses how to combine the My Data concept with Blockchain and smart contracts. Also, Blockchain-based CP-ABE is introduced and applied to the proposed model as a way for users to define access policies and store copyright data in encrypted form on the storage of the online service providers (OSP). Compared with the existing copyright management model, the proposed model allows the copyright holder to focus on copyright registration, license content design, and sharing, as the data subject. And it is expected to be able to transparently manage the usage records and the basis for the settlement of the copyrighted data that are shared and used on each platform.

This article analyze a constructing process of photographic digital archive based on photographs of korean democratization movements. After photographic digital archive defines as integrated systems in which photographic digital objects collect, classify, describe, preserve and access, this article explains metadata elements and classification schema reflecting a special quality of photograph. Especially, this article presents dynamic classification structure using subject keywords. After all, this method provides integrity and interrelationship with photographes which promote usability of photographic digital objects.

In this paper, we address the problem of linear minimum mean-squared error (MMSE) transmitter design for the cognitive radio (CR) multi-user multiple-input single-output (MU-MISO) broadcasting channel (BC), where the cognitive users are subject to not only a sum power constraint, but also a interference power constraint. Evidently, this multi-constraint problem renders it difficult to solve. To overcome this difficulty, we firstly transform it into its equivalent formulation with a single constraint. Then by utilizing BC-MAC duality, the problem of BC transmitter design can be solved by focusing on a dual MAC problem, which is easier to deal with due to its convexity property. Finally we propose an efficient two-level iterative algorithm to search the optimal solution. Our simulation results are provided to corroborate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm and show that this proposed CR MMSE-based scheme achieves a suboptimal sum-rate performance compared to the optimal DPC-based algorithm with less computational complexity.

Special libraries have purchased materials in only one or two specific subject areas which their mother institutions are concerned. Therefore, special libraries need to develop a well-defined collection development policy for themselves. Special libraries purchase items that are frequently used by their users, and provide access to low-use titles through document delivery services. It is a reasonable solution that the library should Join the cooperative special libraries' association which provides document delivery services in Korea. It is because special libraries' association has achieved document delivery service successfully, when compared with the general(non-special) libraries association. It is expected that special libraries' association can do cooperative acquisition better than other groups.

E-Learning is a modem main teaching method starting from the concept of remote education. This research is aimed for proposing cyber education library system, and designing a cyber education component that becomes a basis for e-Learning system. Cyber education library is a storage system of cyber lectures that can supply high quality data to the needed developers. Cyber education component consists of 5 categories and those are text, voice, image, animation, and flash. By using this system, the developers can save the necessary time and effort in education development. This system also helps students. The students can access various lecture data on a given subject and select the best fit for them.
