Cellular manufacturing(CM) is a philosophy and innovation to improve manufacturing productivity and flexibility. Cell formation(CF), the first and key problem faced in designing an effective CM system, is a process whereby parts with similar design features or Processing requirements are grouped into part families, and the corresponding machines into machine cells. Cell formation solutions often contain exceptional elements(EEs). EE create interactions between two manufacturing cells. A policy dealing with EEs considers minimizing the total costs of three important costs; (1)intercellular transfer (2)machine duplication and (3)subcontracting. This paper presents an effective cell formation method with fuzzy nonlinear mixed-integer programming simultaneously to form manufacturing cells and to minimize the total costs of eliminating exceptional elements.

Most of the construction works in domestic are not direct undertaking work, but by a contract method including subcontracting. Therefore, a general contractor for each project jointly carry out construction work with a specialty contractor for each engineering type. However, in terms of contract, this method is not a joint venture contract, but a subcontract. Accordingly, this system can cause various problems between the prime contractor and the subcontractor. Therefore, this study aims to extract and present the actual obstacle factors in terms of specialty contract company performing specialty construction work for construction project. The presented contents are expected to present the standard for the cooperation system that the prime contractor and the subcontractor can win-win.

1980년대 한국의 산업구조조정과 지역불균등발전은 70년대말 직면한 위기를 극복하 고 총량적 경제성장을 지속시키기 위해 외연적 팽창과 내포적 발전을 동시에 추구했으뎌, 그 결과 한국 경제는 포드주의적 축적체제에서 주변성을 탈각하고 성숙되었다. 산업구조의 외연적 팽창과정에서 자본의 공간적 이동과 분업체계의 확충은 기존의 수도권-동남권의 양 극체제를 일정하게 유지하면서 한편으로 수도권지역에 산업의 재집중과 또 다른 한편으로 새롭게 조성된 호남, 충청권으로의 분산을 촉진시켰다. 산업구조의 내포적 발전과정에서 포 드주의적 분업체계의 심화는 경영관리 및 연구개발의 구상기능을 강화시키고 생산자서비스 를 일정하게 포섭한 독점자본의 본사, 생산공정의 자동화와 제품의 표준화, 규격화로 대량생 산체제를 달성한 대기업의 분공장, 이들 주변에서 값싼 노동력으로 부품생산을 담당하는 영 세하청공장들 간의 사회공간적 위계화를 촉진시키면서, 독점자본에 의한 공간지배를 보다 확대시키고 또한 치밀하게 함으로써 지역불균등발전을 심화시켰다.

본 연구는 대구시의 대표적인 주공혼재지역인 북구 노원1 2가동을 사례로 산업지역사회의 관점에서 주공혼재지역으로의 형성과정과 영세제조업체의 존립기반을 분석하였다. 연구대상지역은 1993년 준공업지역에서 준주거지역으로의 용도지역 변경을 계기로 영세 제조업체 및 관련 서비스업과 주택이 혼재하고, 생산활동과 생활활동이 공존하는 전형적인 산업지역사회로 급속하게 변모하였다. 산업지역사회 기반으로서의 영세제조업체의 핵심적 존립기반은 중소 생산자본을 중심으로 한 생산과정상의 수평적이고 역내 통합적 네트워크 생산체계와 그 보완장치로서의 사회적 네트워크를 매개로 한 산업환경으로 집약된다.

Despite surging interests in analyzing business processes, there are few scientific approaches to analysis and redesign of organizational structures which can greatly affect the performance of business processes. This paper presents a method for deriving and analyzing organizational relations from process models using social network analysis techniques. Process models contain information on who performs which processes and activities, along with the assignment of organizational units such as departments and roles to related activities. To derive social relations between organizational units from process models, three types of metrics are formally defined: transfer of work metrics, subcontracting metrics, and cooperation metrics. By applying these metrics, various relations among organizational units can be derived and analyzed. To verify the proposed method and metrics, they are applied to standard process models of the semiconductor and electronic, and automotive industry in Korea. This paper presents a taxonomy for diagnosing organization structure based on the presented approach. The paper also discusses how to combine analyses in the taxonomy for redesign of organizational structures.

This paper presents the application of integrated mathematical programming approach for the design of cellular manufacturing. The proposed approach is carried out in two phases The first phase concerning exceptional elements(EEs) in cell formation and the second phase facilities layout design. This paper considers the total costs of three important costs for (1) intercellular transfer (2) machine duplication and (3) subcontracting. One of Important issue is the calculation of the number of machines considering the maximum utilization of machines and the available capacity of a machines that can be transferred between cells. Facilities layout design is considered to reflect the real field data taking in to account the operational sequence of the parts to be manufactured. The model is formulated as mixed integer programming that is employed to find the optimal solution.

Each year, it seems inevitable that major accidents will occur on construction sites. Industrial accidents, sometimes involving foreign laborers, have been constantly increasing. Construction laborers have higher hazard rates and higher work intensity than other industries, which means that they experience more job stress, as a result of the subcontracting structure. Therefore, this study performed an influence factor analysis on job stress and its relevance to industrial accidents involving Korean and foreign construction laborers, and proposed its effectiveness with the job stress and construction accident management measures based on the results of those. A questionnaire to measure job stress was performed targeting Korean and foreign laborers, and the results were analyzed. The results of this study can be utilized as important reference materials in efforts to reduce the job stress of foreign laborers on construction sites, and can be expected to contribute to preventing construction accidents related to job stress in the future.

근자에 들어 편목업무의 일부 혹은 전체를 외부의 업체에 위탁하는 행태가 관종을 막론하고 도서관계 전체에 폭넓게 확산되고 있는 현상에 주목하면서, 이 연구는 편목업무의 아웃소싱을 통해 우리가 얻는 것과 잃는 것이 무엇인지를 체계적으로 분석하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 연구에 필요한 데이터는 공공도서관에서 편목업무를 담당하고 있는 실무사서들과 도서관경영진을 대상으로 한 설문조사와 면담조사를 통해 수집하였으며, 연구의 결과는 실무 사서의 육성을 통해 그들의 시각에서 본 편목업무 아웃소싱의 득과 실을 있는 그대로 제시하고자 하였다.

이 연구는 편목업무 아웃소싱의 득과 실을 공공도서관의 사례를 통해 직접 검증해 보는데 목적을 두고 있다. 이번 연구에서 필자가 밝혀내고자 시도한 내용은 다음과 같다: 첫째, 편목업무에 아웃소싱을 도입함으로써 실질적으로 업무의 효율성이 증대되었는가? 둘째, 편목업무의 아웃소싱이 목록의 품질에 어떠한 영향력을 미쳤는가? 셋째, 편목업무의 아웃소싱은 이용자서비스 업무를 강화하는데 과연 도움이 되었는가? 이 연구에서는 편목업무의 아웃소싱을 시행하고 있는 공공도서관의 사례를 분석하되, 상대적 비교를 위해 편목업무의 아웃소싱을 시행하지 않고 있는 공공도서관 중에서 비슷한 예산과 인력, 장서규모를 가진 도서관의 사례를 동시에 분석하였다. 표본으로 선정한 도서관은 대규모, 중규모, 소규모에 해당하는 공공도서관 각각 3곳씩 총 6곳이었다.

This paper considers an integrated decision for scheduling and outsourcing(or, subcontracting) of a finite number of jobs(or, orders) in a time-sensitive make-to-order manufacturing environment. The jobs can be either processed in a parallel in-house facilities or outsourced to subcontractors. We should determine which jobs should be processed in-house and which jobs should be outsourced. And, we should determine the schedule for the jobs to be processed in-house. If a job is determined to be processed in-house, then the scheduling cost(the completion time of the Job) is imposed. Otherwise(if the job should be outsourced), then an additional outsourcing cost is imposed. The objective is to minimize the linear combination of scheduling and outsourcing costs under a budget constraint for the total available outsourcing cost. In the problem analysis, we first characterize some solution properties and then derive dynamic programming and branch-and- bound algorithms. An efficient heuristic is also developed. The performances of the proposed algorithms are evaluated through various numerical experiments.
