초ㆍ중학생의 과학선호도 실태 비교 분석 (A Comparative Status Analysis of Elementary and Middle School Students Preference for Science)

  • The purpose of this research was to survey and compare the status of science preference of elementary school students with that of middle school students. Preference for science was defined theoretically. According to theoretical model, a questionnaire was developed with piloting and consisted of three parts. First part was for background information, second part, for measurement of science preference and third for measurement of the relevant factors of science preference. The questionnaire was modified for primary school students. In July 2002, the questionnaire was administered to one class per grade of randomly selected 8 elementary and 8 middle schools all over the country and analyzed result of collected 696 elementary school students and 819 middle school students. Middle school students' science preference was low compared with elementary school students, especially in 'emotional response and 'valuational comprehension'. The preference for science became lower especially from 4th to 5th grade and from 8th to 9th grade. The differences of mean science preference were significant by gender. perception of science achievement. and future career choice. The average of science preference relevant factors of middle school students also became lower than elementary students, especially in 'educational factor'. Multiple regression analysis on the science preference showed that important factors were personal ability, the personal traits, rewards in school science and contents of school science, slightly different in elementary and secondary school. The way to promote students' preference for science was suggested on the analysis result.

한국여성의 가치관과 의복디자인 선호도와의 상관성 연구 (A Study on the Relationship between Women's Values and Preference in Clothing Design)

  • This study was an attempt to survey, the relationships between women's values and preference in clothing design. For the measurement of values scale was to relect the theoretical, economic aesthetic, social. political and religious values explained by Allport-vernon- Lindzey. The preference rate in clothing design consisted of 50 items and 3 factors including color, form and texture. The questionnaire were administered to a sample of women (between college students and adult) who lined in Seoul, Korea. The date for 910 respondents were analyzed by person's carrelation coefficient, to-test and $x^2$ test. Through this study, the followings were founds; 1. Aesthetic value was the mast important of female college students values and economic value was the most important of adult's values. 2. There were significant relation between values and the preference for clothing form in line and style; 1) In line preference, adult women indicated negative correlation with religious values but positive correlation with aesthetic and political values. 2) In style preference, adult women indicated negative correlation with economic values positive correlation with social values, for female college students indicated positive correlation with aesthetic social and political values. 3. There were significant relation between values and preference for texture in touch, thickness, weight, light and luster; 1) In relationship between texture and values, adult women indicated touchness preference negative correlation with theoretical and religious values, for female college students indicated positive correlation with aesthetic and social values. 2) In thickness preference adult women indicated negative correlation with theoretical values but female college students indicated positive correlation with political values. 3) In weight preference, adult women indicated negative correlation with theoretical values. But female college students indicated positive correlation with religious values. 4) In brightness preference, only adult women indicated positive correlation with social values, negative correlation with economic values. In transparency preference, adult women indicated positive correlation with aesthetic values, negative correlation with religious values. 4. There were significant correlation among color and economic, aesthetic; political and religious values, that is, evacuation and economic political values in adult women there were positive correlation with religious values in female students. 1) In chroma only adult women indicated negative correlation with religious values. In warm and cold, positive correlation with economic values in both of them. 2) In coloration, adult women like a complement color indicated negative correlation with aesthetic values, but positive correlation with political values. 5. There were significant differences in the preference of clothing design between female college students and adult women; correlationship with color variables. Evacuation, both of them indicated negative correlation with chroma positive correlation with warm and cold and coloration. In chroma, adult women indicated negative correlation with coloration and warm and cold, for female students indicated negative correlation with coloration. 6. Comparison with clothing preference: 1) In color preference, adult women liked the most white, brown, blue and black in sequence. Female college students liked the most white, also the next is blue and pink. 2) Clothing design preference, there was significant difference in warm and cold and coloration, adult women more liked than female students. In shape of clothing, both of them indicated significant difference in line and style, female students more liked sporty style. In texture, adult women more liked soft thin light weight and bright. 3) In silhouette preference, the most is H-line, female college students more liked.

좌우뇌 활용 선호도에 따른 지구과학 영재들의 문제해결방식에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Problem Solving Styles according to Left/Right Brain Preference of Earth Science Gifted Students)

  • 본 연구는 과학영재교육원의 지구과학영재들을 대상으로 좌/우뇌 활용 선호도에 따른 문제해결의 접근 방식에 관한 유형을 알아보기 위한 것이다. 지구과학 영재 16명을 대상으로 뇌활용 선호도를 알아보기 위하여 R/LCT, BPI를 실시하였고, 문제해결방식을 알아보기 위하여 S-CPST를 실시하였다. R/LCT에서 좌뇌 성향의 학생은 8명, 우뇌 성향은 7명, 중간 점수를 보인 학생은 1명이었다. BPI에서는 좌뇌 성향의 학생이 8명, 우뇌 성향은 8명이었다. S-CPST 에서 좌뇌 성향의 학생들은 먼저 구성 요소에 흥미를 갖고 그 특징을 탐색했다. 또, 숫자나 기호 등을 사용해 논리적이고 객관적으로 문제를 해결하는 반면 자신의 아이디어를 그림으로 표현하는 것을 어려워했다. 우뇌 성향의 학생들은 3단계문제해결방식을 나타냈다. 먼저 전체적인 형태에 관심을 갖고, 둘째, 각각의 구성요소 분석하고, 셋째, 이들을 종합하여 다시 전체로 조직하였다. 또, 직관적 패턴을 보고 문제의 해결 방법을 여러 가지로 제시하며 그림을 사용하여 구체화시켰다. 결과적으로 지구과학 영재들은 좌/우뇌 성향에 따라 서로 다른 방식으로 문제를 해결하였다. 따라서 보다 효과적인 지구과학 영재교육을 위하여 영재들의 좌/우뇌 성향을 고려한 교수학습방법이 요구된다.

여고생의 한국 전통음식에 관한 기호도 및 섭취빈도에 관한 연구 (A Study on Korean Traditional Foods Preference and Consumption of female High School Students)

  • This study was carried put to investigate the preference and consumption of Korean traditional foods. Questionnaires were completed by 210 academic female high school students and also by 210 vocational female high school students. The family income of academic high school students was significantly higher than that of vocational high school students and the family size of academic high school students was lancer than that of vocational high school students In the food consumption, academic high school students are broiled foods more frequently and vocational high school student ate noodles more frequently. Academic high school student showed a higher average in the preference of salted sea foods than that of vocational high school students. In the intake of salted sea foods, academic high school student had a higher intake frequency. The preference and intake frequency of salted sea foods increased significantly with their family's income. Also academic high school student showed a higher average in Korean traditional food knowledge. And this knowledge increased significantly with their family's income.

대학교 실내 휴게 공간 계획 방향에 관한 연구 - K 대학교의 대학생 선호도 분석을 중심으로 - (A Study on Planning Direction of University Student Lounges - Focused on a Preference Analysis of K University Students -)

  • University campus is confronted with a variety of educational circumstances. U-Campus and the changes in students' academic activities demand a remodeling of university campus. The purpose of this study is planning direction for a remodeling space in university. This study in particular focus on indoor student lounges for the students. A survey asked students about a preference of indoor student lounges. Four preferences; the physical characteristics, preference of furnitures and lighting, preference of behaviors and preference of space programs are classified through the analysis on advanced studies. The results show not only students' preference but also a preference of each four different departments students; Social science, Physical education, Natural sciences and Engineering. In conclusion, this study will suggest a concrete plan for the future direction of the indoor student lounges at this point increased the importance of the university indoor student lounges.

인터넷 영양교육 참여 대학생의 지역별 식품의 맛과 기호도에 관한 연구 I. 주식 및 부식 (Regional Differences in Taste and Food Preferences of College Students Attending Nutritional Education via Internet I. Main and Side Dishes)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the regional differences in food preference among college students participating in a nutrition education program via internet. The subjects were 1672 college students (male: 762, female: 910) and divided into 4 regional groups. A survey using a self-administered questionnaire was conducted using a self-administered questionnaire on taste and food preferences. Data was collected via internet or by mail. Prevalence of the food preferences among regional groups was examined using SPSS statistical package. Food preferences were significantly associated with sex and region. Female students in Chungcheong and Kyungsang areas showed significantly higher preference of the hot taste compared to Seoul and Kyunggi areas. Female students in Seoul, Kyunggi and Chungcheong areas showed significantly higher preference of the boiled bean rice compared to the Kyungsang area. The preference for Kimchi stew of female students in Seoul and Kyunggi was significantly higher than those in Chungcheong and Kyngsang areas. Male students in the Chungcheong area showed significantly higher Preferences of the Young radish kimchi, while female students in this area showed significantly higher preference of the Radish kimchi compared to other areas. The preference for roasted laver of female students in Seoul, Kyunggi and Kyungsang areas was significantly higher compared to the Chungcheong area. The preference for fried chicken of male students in Seoul was significantly higher than that in other areas. The preference for bean sprouts and season bonnet bellflower of male students in Seoul, Chungcheong and Kyungsang areas were significantly higher compared to the Kyunggi area. 인지선호 검사를 통한 과학교육과정의 평가 - 인문계 고등학교 1, 2학년을 중심으로 - (Cognitive Preferences and Evaluation of Science Curriculum)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluation of science curriculum by the cognitive preference construct, the instrument of emotional domain. The effects of students' variables on the cognitive preference were also examined. Samples of 216 boys and 166 girls for this study were selected from the secondary school students. he data were analyzed by ANOVA, Pearson correlation, factor analysis, etc. The results of this study are as follows: (1) The students prefer the Principles of science than any other kind of cognitive preference. (2) Sex has influence on the tendency of students' cognitive preference among the studnets' variables. (3) It is not significantly different the tendency of student's cognitive preference according to IQ among the studnets' variables. (4) Most of the students avoid Critical Questions and Applications of cognitive preference in spite of the difference of sex, grade, and department of the students.

수학영재들의 뇌선호유형에 따른 문제해결 과정 사례 분석 -Schoenfeld의 문제해결 행동요인을 중심으로- (Case Analysis of Problem Solving Process Based on Brain Preference of Mathematically Gifted Students -Focused on the factors of Schoenfeld's problem solving behavior-)

  • 본 연구는 수학영재학생들의 뇌선호유형에 따라 그들이 문제를 해결하는 과정에서 Schoenfeld의 문제해결 행동요인 4가지가 어떻게 활용되고 있는지를 분석하고 이를 통해 수학영재 수업 시 고려해야 될 뇌기능 분화와 관련된 교육적 시사점을 찾아보고자 하는 것이다. 연구 대상자는 BPI검사를 통해 좌, 우뇌별 선호도가 높은 6학년 영재학급 학생 4명이다. 분석 결과 좌뇌선호형 학생들의 경우 객관적이고 논리적인 판단을 좋아하는 좌뇌의 특성이, 우뇌선호형 학생들의 경우 주관적이고 직관적인 판단을 좋아하는 우뇌의 특성이 많이 관찰되었다. 또한 문제해결과정에 나타나는 Schoenfeld의 문제해결 행동요인도 뇌선호유형의 특성에 맞게 서로 다른 것들이 주로 선택되는 것을 확인하였다. 따라서 좌뇌선호형 학생들과 우뇌선호형 학생들이 각각 선택한 문제해결 행동요인을 분석하고 그들에게 상호 보완될 수 있는 문제해결 행동요인을 안내 및 제안해 줌으로써 뇌선호유형별 학생들의 문제해결지도에 활용할 수 있을 것이다.

영남지역 초등학생과 고등학생의 식습관 및 음식기호도에 관한 연구 (The Dietary Behavior and Food Preference of Elementary and High School Students in Youngnam Areas)

  • To analyze the dietary behavior and food preference of Korean youth, we surveyed 140 elementary school 6th grade students and 154 high school first grade students in Youngnam Provinces. The average height and weight for the elementary school students were 153cm and 45.3kg for boys and 153.4cm and 44.6kg for girls. The body types depending on the body mass index(BMI) were 45.7% for under-weight, 47.1% for standard, 3.6% for overweight and 3.6% for obesity. The average height and weight for the high school students were 172.5cm and 64.5kg for boys and 160.1cm and 51.7kg for girls. The body types depending on the BMI were 11.0% for under-weight, 70.8% for standard, 13.0% for overweight and 5.2% for obesity. In their food preference, they preferred one-dish food to main dishes and rice with cereals was more popular among high school students. There were higher standard scores in fruit, snack, fried, and Kimchi dishes and high school students showed a high preference especially for snack and fried foods. The Kimchi dishes were more popular among elementary school students and they showed high scores in those dishes regardless of how they were cooked. There was the lowest preference for Korean vegetable salad and the highest for food cooked with meat In conclusion, a difference was found in the food preference of elementary school and high school students and the nutrient intake of elementary school students was lower than that of high school students. Therefore, elementary schools should provide proper nutritional education for students.

거창지역 중.고등학생의 우유와 유제품에 대한 기호도 및 섭취실태 조사 (Preference and Consumption Pattern of Middle and High School Students on Milk and Milk Products, in Geochang Area)

  • This study was performed to investigate the preference and consumption pattern on milk and milk products of middle and high school students. The subjects were 1,195 students(590 middle school and 605 high school students) living in Geochang area. The survey was conducted by using a self-administered questionnaire in November, 2004. The results were as follows. Sixty-three point four percent of the subjects liked milk, and the main reason was 'accelerate growth and development'(55.4%). Preferred tastes of milk were 'savory taste'(35.4%) and 'sweet taste' (29.9%). Banana milk, chocolate milk, strawberry milk, ice cream, yoplait and yogurt were highly preferred. General preference for different kinds of milk was significantly higher in high school students and male students than in middle school students and female ones. With regard to preference for dairy products, cream (p<0.01) and butter(p<0.05) was preferred more by male students than by female ones, ice cream(p<0.05), yoplait (p<0.05) more by female students than male ones. The score of milk intake frequency was 3.84(3-4 times a week) out of 5 points(7 times a week) for white milk, and that of chocolate milk was 1.98, banana milk 1.96, strawberry milk 1.72, coffee milk 1.65, showing that these products were drank less then once a week. In addition, the white milk intake frequency was significantly higher in middle school students and male students than in high school students and female students(p<0.001). Preference for milk showed a positive correlation with preference for dairy products (r=0.543, P<0.001) and frequency of milk intake(r=0.429, P<0.001). This suggests that those who prefer milk high tend to prefer dairy products and to show high milk intake frequency. In addition, milk intake frequency was in a high positive correlation with dairy product intake frequency(r=0.648, P<0.001).
