  • The population of internet users are rapidly increasing and the interest of the internet survey is also increasing. Recent years has seen a transition from traditional modes of data collection into internet survey. Some surveys are administered with mixed modes of traditional data collection methods and internet survey, and some surveys are conducted through internet only instead of traditional modes, such as telephone survey, postal survey, face-to-face interviews and so on. However, one of most crucial parts of a survey is the reliability of the collected data and internet survey is no exemption. Changwon National University has been annually conducting a survey of new students and transfer students with almost same contents of questionnaire. The survey is a longitudinal survey and it had been administered by paper-pencil surveys until 2009. In 2010 the survey was administered through internet. Every students has to login with student ID number and the last 7-digit of national identity registration number, and complete the 2010 survey before registration their courses. If they leave any question without being answered, then could not move to the registration site for courses. This study explores the distortion of responses using the new students survey of Changwon National University, which could occur when the survey responses are not confidential. We find that the distortion of responses occurs from the questions with social desirability pressure, pressure of winning favor with the researcher, and pressure of explaining their situations. There are no distortion of responses from the questions which are describing simple opinions or simple facts, for example, the place they plan to live while in school.

For this purpose, the contents and phenomena of the multicultural mentoring of the mentor - mentee were reported as activity texts, and then seven directions of textuality were applied to explore the direction of multicultural mentoring class activities. As a result, coherence refers to the relationship between the mentor and the mentee for continuing the activities of multicultural mentoring, and cohesiveness refers to the relationship between the mentor and the mentee. It was called the achievement of identity. Intention means that the mentor has an intention or goal for the class before the mentoring activity, and tolerance means that the text produced by the mentor in the multicultural mentoring process is accepted by the mentee. Intentional means that the mentor has intention or goal for the class before the mentoring class activity, and tolerance means having the text as the class activity text when the mentor's text is accepted by the multicultural mentoring class activity process. In the case of informativeness, the information produced by the mentor is less informative when the mentee is predictable and less informative when the predictor is low. In the case of contextuality, contextuality of class activities can be changed according to the physical text situation and the mentee situation in class activity. In case of multicultural mentoring class activity, except for case where mentor creates new class activity text, it is related to the production of class activity texts through mentor learning experiences, peer friends' advice, and education.

At the stage of perception conversion, we let them have the opportunity to observe the status of body perception of the teenager and self-observation. At the stage of correction, we let them criticize the distorted body image in the society with mass media at the same time with the self-reflection. At the stage of maintenance and evaluation, we suggested the behavior guidance while preparing it. Setting this as the basis, we applied the contents such as the evaluations through cultural sharing events making somethings while directly participating. As the target groups to practice education were middle school students, we considered the learning level and behavioral features of the middle school students, and composed the programs including the methods such as role play, watching real things, media production, discussions and experiences. If the program of body shape perception improvement developed at this study could be utilized at the field of schools, the teenagers can change their ways of thought naturally avoiding the view about unified appearance rightly perceiving negative self-image that the teenagers can have and if the group consulting can be practiced regularly at each school, many students may experience the change in perception, so it might solicit the improvement of health of the families and local societies as well as that of the individual student.

  • This paper is intended to study what kinds of the vegetables are mentioned in the Bible and how they were used in those days. While one hundred and twenty-eight different plants are mentioned in the Bible, there are today 2,384 plant species in modem Israel, most of which have been introduced in recent centuries. These plants obviously did not exist there in biblical times and were only recently introduced from Australia and South America, respectively. This article will study only the vegetables mentioned in the Bible and known to have existed in the old and new testament times. Since the first book devoted exclusively to biblical botany was that of Levinus Lemmens in 1566, the modem systematic study of biblical plants, began with F. Hasselquist, a student of Linnaeus, the founder of modem botany. In 1928, Immanuel Loew approached the subject differently, reviewing all known data pertaining to biblical plants. His work not only discussed biblical plants, but also plants in later Jewish literature, particularly the Talmud. The British scholar G. E. Post provided a broad field study of modem plants in Palestine, Syria, Lebanon, and Jordan. More recent major treatments of the subject include those of A. and H. Moldenke (1952), M. Zohary (1982), N. Hareuveni (1984), and Y. J. Choi(1996). Today, articles on specific biblical plants listed in the Bible can be found in any number of encyclopedias. This study attempts to provide a synthesis of the work of a number of scholars who studied the vegetables and plants mentioned in the Bible. As a preliminary study on the culture of food in the biblical period, this study has focused on the identity and features of the vegetables of the Bible. In only a limited number of instances, because of the paucity of the informations and the broad and generic descriptions of the plants, we can't be certain about the identification of the vegetables named in the Bible. In many instances the traditions established by the Greek, Aramaic, and English translations are helpful, although sometimes they are misleading. This paper subdivides the vegetables into broad areas, the general vegetables and the flavoring herbs. Vegetables formed very important part of the diet in the biblical times. Two main types were used: those whose nutritious seeds could be easily stored and those which were eaten freshly gathered from gardens. Pulse seeds provided a useful source of vegetable protein, while fresh green vegetables were vitamin rich. Pulses could be eaten boiled, or their dried seeds could be ground up into flour and then made into nutritious soups. Fresh vegetables were eaten either raw or lightly cooked, usually by boiling in water. The general vegetables in the Bible are herbs(garden rocket), cucumber(snake cucumber), watermelon, leeks, chicory, and onions. Also the flavoring herbs in the Bible are rue, dill, cummin, black cummin, frankincense, cinnamon, cassia, myrrh, black mustard, coriander, mint, saffron, ginger grass, syrian hyssop, aloes(eagle wood), manna which have the flavor, aroma, and medical values.

  • In this study, we analyzed career paths and college life plans of department of chemistry education students in teacher's college examined by their roadmaps. We let students make their roadmaps and analyzed them using the PASW 18 program. There were significant differences on gender in their career paths, learning English, traveling and volunteer activity. Female students for passing the MEET(Medical Education Eligibility Test) or DEET(Dental Education Eligibility Test) were more interested in learning English and traveling than male students. In addition, female students were more interested in volunteer activity. And the lower year students, the more interested in medical paths, learning English, traveling, getting good grades, exchange student program and scholarship. On the other hand the higher year students, the more interested in group study or E-learning. Then significant differences were in learning English, traveling and getting good grades by students's career paths. Students who wish to pass the MEET or DEET were more interested in learning English and getting good grades. Those two factors were essential in passing the MEET or DEET. Students who did not specified their career paths had more traveling plans than other students for setting their directions of careers. These results show that freshman and female students don't recognize the identity of teacher's college correctly. Because of reduction in the number of teacher recruitment according to decrease of students by birth rate drop, students in teacher's college are expected to continue like this trend that students look for other paths. Therefore, it is required career counseling and guidance for students who give priority practical path choices and college life plans over original characteristics of teacher's college.
