Greedy routing which is easy to apply to geographic wireless sensor networks is frequently used. Greedy routing works well in dense networks whereas in sparse networks it may fail. When greedy routing fails, it needs a recovery algorithm to get out of the communication void. However, additional recovery algorithm causes problems that increase both the amount of packet transmission and energy consumption. Communication void is a condition where all neighbor nodes are further away from the destination than the node currently holding a packet and it therefore cannot forward a packet using greedy forwarding. Therefore we propose a VODUA(Virtually Ordered Distance Upgrade Algorithm) as a novel idea to improve and solve the problem of void. In VODUA, nodes exchange routing graphs that indicate information of connection among the nodes and if there exist a stuck node that cannot forward packets, it is terminated using Distance Cost(DC). In this study, we indicate that packets reach successfully their destination while avoiding void through upgrading of DC. We designed the VODUA algorithm to find valid routes through faster delivery and less energy consumption without requirement for an additional recovery algorithm. Moreover, by using VODUA, a network can be adapted rapidly to node's failure or topological change. This is because the algorithm utilizes information of single hop instead of topological information of entire network. Simulation results show that VODUA can deliver packets from source node to destination with shorter time and less hops than other pre-existing algorithms like GPSR and DUA.
Geographic wireless sensor networks use position information for Greedy routing. Greedy routing works well in dense network where as in sparse network it may fail and require the use of recovery algorithms. Recovery algorithms help the packet to get out of the communication void. However, these algorithms are generally costlier for resource constrained position based wireless sensor type networks. In the present work, we propose a Void Avoidance Algorithm (VAA); a novel idea based on virtual distance upgrading that allows wireless sensor nodes to remove all stuck nodes by transforming the routing graph and forward packet using greedy routing only without recovery algorithm. In VAA, the stuck node upgrades distance unless it finds next hop node which is closer to the destination than itself. VAA guarantees the packet delivery if there is a topologically valid path exists. NS-2 is used to evaluate the performance and correctness of VAA and compared the performance with GPSR. Simulation results show that our proposed algorithm achieves higher delivery ratio, lower energy consumption and efficient path.
This case report is about hemolymph nodes found in a dairy cow whose function is still not fully elucidated. A 4-month Holstein cow presented severe respiratory symptoms and hematochezia for a while with respiratory acidosis and metabolic alkalosis. Coccidiosis was diagnosed and treated immediately, but the cow died from respiratory acidosis and metabolic alkalosis. At necropsy, no abnormal appearance in thoracic and peritoneal organs was observed, but hemolymph nodes were observed being multifocally stuck on omasum serosa and the subcutaneous fascia of abdominal region, and the larger dark red lymph nodes were found along the omasum great curvature. Microscopically, lymphoid depletion and lymphadenitis in the lymph nodes were examined to point systemic infection, and in the hemolymph node, multifocally demarcated pale lesions with macrophage infiltration and fibrin deposition nearby subcapsular sinus. In subcapsular sinus of the hemolymph node, rod to linear gram-negative bacteria were found. Through this study, we might conclude that the hemolymph node is involved in pathogen phagocytosis.
This study was conducted to investigate the effect of age of transplants, propagated by cutting, of two cut rose (Rosa hybrida Hort.) cultivars on their subsequent growth and yield in an effort to develop an efficient cutting propagation method for domestic rose cultivars. Two cultivars used in this study were a standard type 'Pink Aurora' and a spray type 'Yellow King'. Cuttings were prepared as single node cuttings each with a five-leaflet leaf and were stuck in rockwool cubes ($5cm{\times}5cm{\times}5cm$, UR, Korea) at two different dates. Cuttings rooted for either 30 (stuck on Jan. 20, 2009) or 48 days (stuck on Jan. 2, 2009) were transplanted into a rockwool slabs ($10cm{\times}15cm{\times}100cm$, UR, Korea) on the same date, 18 Feb. 2009. Plant growth and cut flower quality were investigated for two successive harvests during the period of Jan. to July in 2009. In both cultivars, 48 days old plants showed some growth of the shoot and root before transplanting. However, in the case of 30 days old plants before transplanting no noticeable growth of the shoot and root was obserable in 'Pink Aurora', while only shoot growth, but not root growth to the bottom of the rooting medium, was observed in 'Yellow King'. This suggested cultivar-specific responses that in this experiment a spray type 'Yellow King' showed greater growth rate during the rooting stage than a standard type 'Pink Aurora'. In the measurement of growth and cut flower yield after transplanting, the 48 days old standard type 'Pink Aurora' produced greater number of cut flowers per plant than 30 days old plants, whereas their mean stem fresh weight was recorded smaller than that of the 30 days old plants. For 'Yellow King', 30 days old plants showed greater stem length, flower width, number of five-leaflet leaves per stem, stem fresh weight, and number of cut flowers per plant than 48 days old plants. Therefore, growth and yield were significantly affected by cultivar and age of the rooted cutting, and additional research is needed on the effect of age of rooted cuttings in more cultivars.

This paper deals with the path sensitization algrithm from PI to PO center on the nodes of high testability mainstay when CUT is tested by pseudo exhaustive testing. In CUT, the node definition of high testability mainstay treats the testability values of the entire nodes with the population composed of the raw data, and after we examined the level of significance(1-a) region, we accomplished in the estimation of the confidence interval of the testability. Focusing on the defined nodes of high testability mainstay, we performed the singular cover and consistency operation to the forward and backward logic gates. Thus, we easily generated the pseudo exhausitve test patterns. As a result, (1-a) region has 0.1579 and the pseudo exhaustive test patterns are least generated and the rate of test pattern is 1.22%, compared with exhaustive testing. (1-a) region has 0.2368 and this results exhibits the optimal performance of the singular cover and consistency operation. Applying the generated pseudo exhaustive test patterns to the stuck-at faults existing on the inputs and internal nodes in CUT, we verified this performance on the output. Thus, it is confirmed that functional testing of the proposed path sensitization algorithm is very useful.
The study was conducted to investigate the effect of rootstock on growth and early yield of stenting-propagated cut roses (Rosa hybrida Hort.) 'Pink Aurora' and 'Yellow King'. The scions, prepared as single-node cuttings, each with a five-leaflet leaf, were grafted onto cuttings of Rosa indica 'Major', Rosa multiflora 'Chille Wonye No. 1', Rosa multiflora 'K-1', or Rosa multiflora 'Burr' as the rootstock. The rootstock cuttings were removed of all leaves and buds before grafting. The base of scion and the top of rootstock were held together and simultaneously cut at a $45^{\circ}$ angle for ease of grafting. Scion-rootstock unions were stuck in rockwool cubes and placed on a misted glasshouse bench for rooting before being transplanted into a rockwool slabs for cultivation. Rooting was the greatest in the 'Pink Aurora' and 'Yellow King' grafted on the rootstock Rosa indica 'Major'. In 'Pink Aurora', stem length, stem diameter, five-leaflet leaves per stem, and stem fresh weight of the harvested cut flowers were not affected by the rootstock. The greatest total yield of 'Pink Aurora' was obtained in plants grafted onto the Rosa indica 'Major' rootstock. Overall growth of 'Yellow King' was the greatest in plants grafted onto Rosa multiflora 'Burr' rootstock, although total yield was not affected by the rootstock. These results suggest that Rosa indica 'Major' is the most effective rootstock not only for rooting, but also for early yield and growth for stenting propagation of these cut roses.

In this study, the principal objective was to investigate the effect of light quality and vessel ventilation on the growth and development, physiology, activities of antioxidant enzymes, and contents of mineral nutrients of carnation (Dianthus caryophyllus L.) 'Marble Beauty'. Single node cuttings stuck into the plant growth regulator (PGR)-free MS medium in containers covered with caps with or without a ventilation filter were cultured first four weeks under white and then additional four weeks under either white (control), blue, red, or red + blue light emitting diodes (LEDs) for 56 days. Interestingly, a ventilated culture condition not only reduced the percentage of the hyperhydricity, but also increased the total chlorophyll content (Chl a + Chl b) of the plantlets as compared to the non-ventilated condition. In addition, blue LEDs produced plantlets with the greatest number of shoots and red LEDs produced plantlets with the greatest shoot length. The quality of plantlets was improved under a ventilation condition. Besides, under a ventilated condition, red + blue LEDs raised APX activity, and blue LEDs not only raised the activity of the CAT, but also increased tissue contents of such elements as K, Ca, Mg, Zn, Mn and Fe. The red LEDs increased contents of B and Si under a ventilated condition, and Na accumulation under a non-ventilated condition. Thus, including blue or red LEDs as the light source in a ventilated culture condition will produce plantlets of carnation 'Marble Beauty' in vitro with improved quality.
