건설공사 가설구조물의 추락재해 원인분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Cause Analysis of Fall Accidents at Temporary Construction Sites)

  • Since 1990 in South Korea, the considerable concern for the safety of construction sights has been increased due to serious accidents. There have been numerous big improvements in preventing the accidents by strengthening legal enforcement and by continuing to emphasize the safety management. Further, the safety standards and criteria for temporary constructional work have been enacted and established in order to maintain safe work environments in temporary construction and structure settings. However, the death rate from fall accidents is still high in the temporary constructional and structural settings in comparison to other work places in construction. According to the analysis of accidents in the field of construction between 2000 and 2007, the death rate from fall accidents in the temporary constructional settings was highest. In addition, there have been more fall accidents in the work setting by small or medium construction enterprises rather than large enterprises due to the relative lack of the safety management. Thus, in this study, the analysis of the causes of fall accidents in the temporary constructional and structural settings between 2000 and 2007 was conducted. Moreover, a survey study was carried out in order to investigate further causes based on the analysis. Finally, this study was also conducted in order to provide basic information and knowledge about the prevention of future accidents.

종업원의 업무능력을 고려한 종업원 만족도, 생산성 및 고객만족 간 인과관계 분석 (Analyzing the Casual Relationship among Employee Satisfaction, Productivity and Customer Satisfaction Considering Employee' Work Ability)

  • We analyze how much employees' work abilities and overall satisfaction on the job or corporate influence on the productivity and customer satisfaction in the service industry, which is characterized by simultaneity, heterogeneity, intangibility and etc. Employees always encounter customers in process of the service. So, the employees' attitudes and behaviors have direct influences on the service quality or satisfaction which customers perceive. Also, employees' satisfaction or work abilities can lead to increase or decrease the productivity. To grasp and demonstrate the cause and effect relationship, we firstly measure the degrees of employee satisfaction organized by 11 factors through survey, and also measure employees' overall satisfaction, organizational commitment and productivity. Secondly, we define service value as the employee's objective measure index and collect it with the data related to customer satisfaction. Based on the collected data, thirdly we define how the relationship among the employee satisfaction, the productivity, the service value and the customer satisfaction are affected by the employees' work abilities and overall satisfaction with SEM(Structural Equation Model). And finally, we classify employees according to their abilities and the degrees of satisfaction respectively and suggest important strategies to manage them effectively.

고소작업대의 파손된 고정볼트의 피로분석에 관한 연구 (A Fatigue Analysis Study on the Fractured Fixing Bolts of Mobile Elevated Work Platforms)

  • The mobile elevated work platforms(MEWPs) consist of work platform, extending structure, and car, and it is a facility to move persons to working positions. MEWPs are useful but composed complex pieces of equipments, and accidents are caused by equipment defects. Among them, accidents caused by fracture of the bolts fixing the extension structure and the turntable are increasing. In this study, fatigue failure and fatigue life of a turntable fixing bolt subjected to irregular fatigue load were analyzed by FEA. For this purpose, finite element modeling is proposed and structural analysis and fatigue analysis are performed simultaneously for fixing bolts. As a result of the structural analysis, it was confirmed that there is no risk of permanent deformation because the maximum stress acting on the fixing bolt is lower than the yield strength, and fatigue analysis was confirmed that the fatigue life is less than the design standard. The fatigue analysis results of this study can be effectively used for the design and the documentary assessment of the safety certification of the MEWPs by examining the fatigue life of the turntable fixing bolt.

간호·간병통합서비스 제공 병동의 운영현황 비교연구 (A Comparative Study on the Operation Status of Comprehensive Nursing Care Ward)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to contribute to the activation of comprehensive nursing care services by comparing and analyzing the working environment and operational status of comprehensive nursing care wards with general wards. Methods: A questionnaire survey was conducted at hospitals operating comprehensive nursing care services. We collected data on patient characteristics, workforce, working environment, and work support facilities of 40 hospitals voluntarily participating in the survey. The collected data were analyzed by dividing it into an comprehensive nursing care ward and a general ward. Results: Compared with the general ward, the comprehensive nursing care ward had fewer hospitalized patients, but the severity of the patients and the need for nursing were high. The number of nurses, assistant nurses, and ward support workers per patient was higher in the comprehensive nursing care ward than in the general ward, and the implementation rate of night shift fixed system, the fixed shift system, and the preceptor system were higher. In terms of structural environment, comprehensive nursing care wards had more room for interviews. Conclusion: The comprehensive nursing care ward had more nursing staff and provided a better working environment than the general ward, but required additional support for the structural environment.

  • A number of construction practices, implemented during the design process of a reinforced concrete (RC) structural system, may have significant consequences on the behaviour of the structural system in the case of earthquake loading. Although a number of provisions are imposed by the contemporary Greek national design codes for the seismic design of RC structures, in order to reduce the consequences, the influence of the construction practices on the seismic behaviour of the structural system remains significant. The objective of this work is to perform a comparative study in order to examine the influence of three, often encountered, construction practices namely weak ground storey, short and floating columns and two combinations on the seismic performance of the structural system with respect to the structural capacity and the maximum interstorey drifts in three earthquake hazard levels.

Probabilistic vibration and lifetime analysis of regenerated turbomachinery blades

  • Variances in turbomachinery blades caused by manufacturing, operation or regeneration can result in modified structural behavior. In this work, the scatter of geometrical and material properties of a turbine blade and its influence on structure performance is discussed. In particular, the vibration characteristics and the lifetime of a turbine blade are evaluated. Geometrical variances of the surface of the blades are described using the principal component analysis. The scatter in material properties is considered by 16 varying material parameters. Maximum vibration amplitudes and the number of load cycles the turbine blade can withstand are analyzed by finite element simulations incorporating probabilistic principles. The probabilistic simulations demonstrate that both geometrical and material variances have a significant influence on the scatter of vibration amplitude and lifetime. Dependencies are quantified and correlations between varied input parameters and the structural performance of the blade are detected.

소형 요트의 기본 구조 설계 및 구조 해석 기법에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Structural Design and Structural Analysis for Small Yacht)

  • The scantling and structural design work is done during the initial stage in yacht design. This paper studies a procedure of the structural design for yacht with an illustrative design. Scantling of structural members and loads are defined based on the rules suggested by ISO(International Standard Organization) and ABS(American Bureau of Shipping). Also, FEA(Finite Element Analysis) model is presented for a practical guide for structural analysis. An equivalent structural element is used to simplify the composite material for the analysis.

Structural Design on Small Scale Sandwich Composite Wind Turbine Blade

  • Even though the recent development trend of wind turbine systems has been focused on larger MW Classes, the small-scale wind turbine system has been continuously developed because it has some advantages due to easy personnel establishment and use with low cost and energy saving effect. This work is to propose a specific structural design and analysis procedure for development of a low noise 500W class small wind turbine system which will be applicable to relatively low wind speed region like Korea. The proposed structural feature has a skin-spar-foam sandwich composite structure with the E-glass/Epoxy face sheets and the Urethane foam core for lightness, structural stability, low manufacturing cost and easy manufacturing process. Moreover this type of structure has good behaviors for reduction of vibration and noise. Structural analysis including load cases, stress, deformation, buckling and vibration was performed using the Finite Element Method. In order to evaluate the designed blade structure the structural tests were done, and their test results were compared with the estimated results.

개인-환경 적합성, 긍정심리자본, 혁신 행동 간의 구조적 관계 (Structural Relationships between the Variables of Person-Environment Fit, Positive Psychological Capital and Innovative Work Behavior)

  • 융복합 환경에서 인적자원 관리 차원에 입각한 개인-환경 적합성의 중요성이 부각되고 있다. 본 연구는 긍정심리자본의 매개적 역할에 주목하여, 개인-환경 적합성이 혁신 행동에 미치는 영향을 구조적 모델을 통해 검증하였다. 분석결과 개인-환경 적합성은 긍정심리자본과 이직의도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 긍정심리자본은 개인-환경 적합성과 혁신 행동 간의 관계에서 중요한 매개효과를 갖는 것으로 나타났는데, 특히 개인-환경 적합성 자체가 혁신 행동에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 것이 아니며, 긍정심리자본이 먼저 형성될 때 혁신 행동을 증가시킬 수 있는 것으로 확인되었다.

소명의식에 영향을 미치는 요인 -낙관성, 일희망, 부모양육태도의 구조적 관계모형 검증 (Verification of the Structural Relationship Model of Calling to Optimism, Work Hope and Supportive Parenting)

  • 본 연구는 소명의식에 영향을 미치는 요인을 탐색적으로 살펴보고, 그 과정을 구조적으로 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 300명의 대학생을 대상으로 설문을 실시하였고 최종적으로 277명의 자료를 SPSS 18.0과 Amos 8.0으로 분석하였다. 연구결과, 부모의 지지적 양육태도와 낙관성은 직접적으로 소명의식에 영향을 미치지 않았고, 일희망을 매개로 하여 소명의식에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 소명의식에 미치는 영향력을 살펴본 결과, 소명의식에는 일희망의 영향력이 가장 큰 것으로 나타났고, 부모의 지지적 양육태도 및 낙관성의 영향력이 그 다음으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 소명의식에 영향을 미치는 개인의 환경적 특성과 성격적 특성을 경험적으로 밝혔다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 학교상담 및 교육장면에서 본 연구의 시사점을 논의하였고, 제한점과 후속 연구의 필요성을 제안하였다.
