$Ag(Ta_{0.5}Nb_{0.5})O_3$ ceramic의 전기적, 유전적 특성 연구

  • In this study, the structural characteristics and the electrical properties of $Ag(Ta,Nb)O_3$ ceramics were investigated. Compound ceramics were fabricated by the mixed oxide method. The sintering temperature was 1200 $^{\circ}C$. The dielectric properties of $Ag(Ta,Nb)O_3$ ceramics were measured from 1 kHZ to 1 MHz. The electrical properties of $Ag(Ta,Nb)O_3$ ceramics were investigated at the various temperature ranges.

  • Ultrasonic machining technology has been developed over recent years for the manufacture of and quality-assured precision parts for several industrial application such as optics, semiconductors, aerospace, and automobile application. The past decade has seen a tremendous in the use of ceramics in structural application. The excellent thermal, chemical and wear resistance of these material can be realized because of recent improvements in the overall strength and uniformity of advanced ceramics. Ultrasonic machining, in which abrasive particles in slurry with water are presented to the work surface in the presence of an ultrasonic-vibrating tool, is process which should be of considerable interest, as its potential is not limited by the electrical or chemical characteristics of the work material, making it suitable for application to ceramics. This paper intends to further the understanding of the basic mechanism of ultrasonic machining for brittle material and ultrasonic machining of ceramics based in the fracture-mechanic concept has been analyzed.

  • In this study, piezoelectric properties of NKN-BT ceramics with various sintering temperature were investigated. The NKN-BT ceramics were fabricated by physicochemical method and characterized by X-ray diffraction analysis and scanning electron microscopy. The structural and dielectric properties of doped BT solution on the NKN ceramics were investigated. The dielectric constant and dielectric loss of NKN-BT ceramics sintered at $1130^{\circ}C$ was 2321 and 0.35, respectively.

  • The microwave dielectric properties of the $Ba_{5}Ta_{4}O_{15}$ ceramics with sintering temperature were investigated. All sample of the $Ba_{5}Ta_{4}O_{15}$ ceramics prepared by conventional mixed oxide method and sintered at $1450^{\circ}C{\sim}1575^{\circ}C$. Porosity of the $Ba_{5}Ta_{4}O_{15}$ ceramics was reduced with increasing sintering temperature. The bulk density, dielectric constant and Qualify factor increased with increasing sintering temperature. In the case of $Ba_{5}Ta_{4}O_{15}$ ceramics sintered at $1550^{\circ}C$, The bulk density, dielectric constant and quality factor were $7.31g/cm^2$ and 27.4, 30,635GHz, respectively.

  • Nano-structured ceramics, which consist of structural elements with nanometer-size crystallites, are expected to show various unusual properties. We developed the novel nano-structured ceramics which consists of $Si_3N_4$ and TiN and a self-lubricant material. The ceramics was fabricated by powder metallurgy process using mechano-chemical grinding process and short-time sintering process. Each grain size of matrix and the self-lubricant particle was under about 50 nm and a few namometer. It showed high wear resistance and low friction coefficient by controlling of microstructure.

  • Thermal conductivities in $La_2Ce_2O_7-Gd_2Ce_2O_7-Y_2Ce_2O_7$ ternary system have been investigated. Pyrochlore phases formed at all ternary compositions and their sinterbilities were decreased with La addition. Thermal conductivities showed a minimum value at $La_2Ce_2O_7$ with moderate increases as $Y^{3+}$ and $Gd^{3+}$ ions replaced $La^{3+}$. Thermal expansion anomaly observed in $La_2Ce_2O_7$, which might be detrimental to TBC application, were suppressed by $Y^{3+}$ and $Gd^{3+}$ additions, with resultant thermal conductivities, $1.3{\sim}1.5 W/mK$ at $1000^{\circ}C$.

  • In this paper, the structural and dielectric properties of (Sr$_{l-x}$Ca$_{x}$)TiO$_3$ (0$\leq$x$\leq$0.2) -based grain boundary layer ceramics were investigated by XRD, SEM and HP4194A. The ceramics were fabricated by the conventional mixed oxide method. The sintering temperature and time were 1420~152$0^{\circ}C$ and 4 hours, respectively. The average grain size and the lattice constant were decreased with increasing content of Ca. The average grain size was increased with increase of sintering temperature. The relative density of all specimens was 96~98%. The 2nd Phase formed by the thermal diffusion of CuO from the surface leads to very excellent dielectric properties, that is, $\varepsilon$$_{r}$>50000, tan $\delta$<0.05, $\Delta$C<$\pm$10%. The appropriate Ca content was under 15 ㏖%.s under 15 ㏖%.%.

  • The 0.98 ($Na_{0.44}K_{0.52})Nb_{0.84}O_3-0.02Li_{0.04}$ ($Sb_{0.06}Ta_{0.1})O_3-0.5$ mol%CuO ceramics have been fabircated by ordinary sintering technique and the effect of various calcination method on the electrical propertis and microstructure have been studied. It was observed that the various calcination method influenced the elelctrical properties and structural properties of the 0.98NKN-0.02LST-0.5 mol%CuO ceramics with the optimum piezoelectric constant ($d_{33}$) and electromechanical coupling factor ($k_p$) at room temperature of about $155{\rho}C/N$ and 0.349, respectively, from 0.98NKN-0.02LST-0.5 mol%CuO ceramics sample. The curie temperature ($T_c$) of this ceramic was found at $440^{\circ}C$. The 0.98NKN-0.02LST-0.5 mol%CuO ceramics are a promising lead-free piezoelectric ceramics.

  • The $(Ba_xBi_{0.6-x}Sr_{0.4})TiO_3$[x=0.1, 0.2, 0.3] ceramics were prepared by conventional mixed oxide method The structural properties of the $(Ba_xBi_{0.6-x}Sr_{0.4})TiO_3$[x=0.1, 0.2, 0.3] ceramics with the sintering temperature($1200^{\circ}C,\;1250^{\circ}C,\;1300^{\circ}C$) were investigated by XRD, SEM, EDS. Increasing the sintering temperature, the intensity of the $Ba_{0.5}Sr_{0.5}TiO_3$ (100), (110), (111), (200), (310) peaks and $SrBi_4Ti_4O_{15}$ (319), (040) peaks were increased. The gram of the $(Bi_{0.2}Ba_{0.4}Sr_{0.4})TiO_3$ ceramics sintered at $1250^{\circ}C$ were fine and uniform. Increasing the sintering temperature. the average gram size of the $(Bi_{0.2}Ba_{0.4}Sr_{0.4})TiO_3$ ceramics were decreased. The density of $(Bi_{0.1}Ba_{0.5}Sr_{0.4})TiO_3$ ceramics sintered at $1250^{\circ}C$ was 5.4524 [$g/cm^2$].

고온가압으로 소결한 고순도 이트리아 세라믹 소결체의 산화반응 특성 (Characteristics of Thermal Oxidation on Hot-Pressed Pure Yttria Ceramics)

  • We investigated the characteristics of hot-pressed pure yttria ceramics, and annealed them in an oxidation atmosphere. Regardless of the heat treatment in the oxidation atmosphere, XRD analysis showed that all the samples had a $Y_2O_3$ phase without structural change. Even though the color variation of the hot-pressed $Y_2O_3$ ceramics was due to the sintering temperatures, the oxidation process turned the color of the $Y_2O_3$ ceramics into white. The color change during oxidation treatment appears to be related to oxygen defects. In addition, oxygen defects also affected the weight change and microstructure of the $Y_2O_3$ ceramics. The $Y_2O_3$ ceramic sintered at $1600^{\circ}C$ had a $5.03g/cm^3$ density, which is close to the theoretical density of $Y_2O_3$. As the sintering temperature increased, small homogeneous grains grew to large grains which affected the Vickers hardness. $Y_2O_3$ ceramics hot-pressed at $1600^{\circ}C$ and annealed at $1200^{\circ}C$ had a flexural strength of 140MPa.
