The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between the Average Fundamental Frequency, Fo-Tremor Frequency, Jitter, Shimmer, Amplitude Tremor Intensity Index, and Noise to Harmonic Ratio of MDVP and Fo, Fo Tremor, Jitter, Shimmer, Amp Tremor, HNR, and NNE of Dr. Speech. The Pearson correlation coefficient was used for analysis. The results showed that there was a strong correlation between Fo and Shimmer of both instruments. However, the remaining parameters did not show a significant correlation.

This study was conducted to characterize groundwater and river-water fluctuations at a riverbank filtration site in Daesan-myeon adjacent to the Nakdong River, using time series analysis. Water levels from six observation wells from January 2003 to October 2003 were measured. The autocorrelation analysis indicates that the wells are divided into three groups: group 1 represents strong linearity and memory, group 2 intermediate linearity and memory, and group 3 weak linearity and memory. The analysis indicates that groundwater levels in different monitoring wells vary in response to river-water levels, groundwater withdrawal and seasonal rainfall. Cross-correlation was also divided into three groups. Group 1 shows the highest cross-correlation function (0.49 - 0.54) for a lag time of 0 hours, group 2 intermediate cross-correlation function (0.34 - 0.45), and group 3 the lowest cross-correlation function (0.23 - 0.25). Different cross-correlation functions among the 3 groups are interpreted as an effect of tile distance from the river to the pumping wells.

Twitter can spread and share all kinds of information such as facts, opinions, and ideas in real time. In this paper, we empirically compare and analyze the topic categories in Twitter with all top 100 users in each of geographic region. We mainly consider the relationships among regions and selected four regions: Global, Seoul, Tokyo, and Beijing. Each of the top 100 users in Twitter is classified into a specific category and then statistical analysis is conducted. Among eight topic categories, the "Arts" category is the largest and the second is "Life". The correlation between global and Seoul groups has the lowest value among the six pairs of relationships between regional groups, and this difference is statistically significant. We find that the Seoul, Tokyo, and Beijing regional Twitter groups, all in East Asia, have high topical similarity. Based on the correlation analysis, Seoul and Tokyo saliently show a sticky trend. The correlation coefficient presents very a strong positive correlation between Seoul and Tokyo. The correlation between the global group and the East Asian groups is relatively lower than that among the East Asian groups.

본 연구는 10세 정상교합 아동의 측모두부계측 분석을 통하여 현재 한국인 아동의 평균을 제시하며, 이를 통해 악안면의 전후방 및 수직적 부조화의 진단에 도움이 되고자 계획되었다. 연구대상은 전남대학교 치과병원 소아치과에 교정치료를 위해 내원한 아동 중 정상 안모를 갖는 아동 100명(남, 여 각 50명)이며, 진단 및 치료를 위해 촬영된 측모두부규격 방사선사진을 이용하여, 교정 진단에 유용한 15가지의 항목에 대한 계측 및 분석을 시행한 후, 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 상, 하악골 길이와 관련하여 남자의 maxillary length는 여자보다 유의하게 길었다(p < 0.05). Maxillary length는 mandibular length와 높은 상관관계를 나타냈다(r = 0.625(남), 0.574(여)). 2. 수직적 악골 길이와 관련하여 남자의 lower facial height은 여자보다 유의하게 길었다(p < 0.05). Total facial height 는 upper facial height(r = 0.405(남), 0.417(여))와 높은 상관관계, lower facial height(r = 0.763(남), 0.787(여))와는 매우 높은 상관관계를 나타냈다. 3. 상, 하악 치아 및 치조 길이와 관련하여 모든 계측치 간의 남녀 차이가 1 mm 이내로 성별 차이가 거의 없었다. PNS - ANS(r = 0.571(남), 0.650(여)), mandibular plane - lower incisor(r = 0.474(남), 0.426(여)), mandibular plane - lower molar(r = 0.488(남), 0.499(여)), PTM-V(r = 0.457(남))는 maxillary length와 높은 상관관계를 나타냈다.

Bearing diagnostics is difficult in a gearbox because bearing signals are masked by the strong gear signals. Self adaptive noise cancellation(SANC) is useful technique to seperate bearing signals from gear signals. While gear signals are correlated with a long correlation length, bearing signals are not correlated with a short length. SANC seperates two components on the basis of correlation length. Then we can find defect frequency component in the envelope spectrum of the bearing signals.

The MgO protective layer of PDP has a strong influence on address delay. The relation, however, is not clearly understood due to the difficulty of analysis which is caused by surface charging. This paper suggests a way to avoid the charging problem and shows the correlation between workfunction measured by UPS and address delay.

There is a large amount of empirical literature reporting that people who regularly attend religious services tend to have better health outcomes. However, it remains an unanswered question as to whether the observed correlation reflects any causality. Exploiting exogenous changes in church attendance driven by law changes in 21 states of the U.S., I find tentative but suggestive evidence that the observed strong correlation between religious participation and health is likely to be driven by endogenous selection.

The underlying premise of this study was that L1 production is easily transferred into L2 production. In neutral intonation, there is a consonant-tone correlation in Korean: High tone patterns are correlated with voiceless aspirated and tense consonants and Low-High tone patterns are correlated with lax or other voiced consonants. The purpose of this study was to see whether the correlation in Korean (L1) is transferred into English (L2) production and whether the degree of transfer differs depending on the degree of proficiency. Eight Korean speakers and two American speakers participated in the experiment. F0 contours of words and sentences were collected and analyzed. The results of the present study showed that there is a strong correlation between voicing and tone in L2 utterances. When utterance-initial consonant types were voiceless, the word or the sentence began with the H pattern; otherwise it had the LH pattern. The degree of interference differed depending on the degree of proficiency: less proficient speakers showed a stronger correlation in terms of the magnitude (Hz) and size (ms) of the effects on F0. The results indicate that the consonant-tone correlation in L1 is strongly transferred into L2 production and the correlation transfer can be one of the actual aspects that cause L2 speakers to produce deviant L2 accents and intonation.

In order to investigate the availability of tire airborne noise for vehicle road noise development, We measured the noise in condition of smooth road and coarse road. The correlation coefficient was analyzed using the articulation index of the tire airborne noise and the vehicle road noise. It has been found that the correlation between the tire airborne noise and the vehicle road noise is positively strong.
