Moleculer structure analysis and fabrication of PMDAlMDA Polyimide thin-films (PMDA/MDA Polyimide 박막의 제조와 분자구조 분석)

  • Polyirnide thin films were fabricated an using vapor deposition polymerization apparatus, and their FT-IR and TGA characteristics were investigated. The peaks of $720cm^{-1}$ and $1380cm^{-1}$ show C=O stretch mode and C-N stretch mode, and that of the cured polyimide at $300^{\circ}C$ were saturated. TGI(Thormogravi metric index) was showed at $459^{\circ}C$ from reaserch of thermal resistivity characteristics by TGA.

  • In this paper, we propose an image enhancement algorithm for panoramic infrared image. This method divides a panoramic infrared image into disjoint subimages and performs the contrast stretch for subimages using statistical characteristics of each subimage. But these cause blocking artifact in boundary regions of neighboring subimages which different to the statistical characteristic. To remove blocking artifact, we perform the contrast stretch for subimage's boundary regions using statistical characteristics of horizontally neighboring subimages. Experimental results show that the proposed method effectively improves their appearance to human viewers.

  • Polyimide thin films were fabricated an using vapor deposition polymerization apportus, and their FT-IR and TGA characteristics were investigated. The peaks of $720cm^{-1}$ and $1380cm^{-1}$ show C=O stretch mode and C-N stretch mode, and that of the cured polyimide at $350^{\circ}C$ were sturated. $T_d$(Depolymerization temperature) was showed at $405^{\circ}C$ from research of thermal resistivity characteristics by TGA It was possible to fabrication of polyimide thin film by VDPM.

  • Until recently, almost all ETFE film structures that have been erected is the cushion type because there are problems at lower allowable strength under elastic range and viscosity behaviour such as creep and relaxation of ETFE films under long-term stresses. But the number of tension type structures is currently increasing. This paper proposes the stretch fabrication of ETFE film to verify the applicability of ETFE films to tensile membrane structures. First of all, to investigate the possibility of application on tensile membrane structures, the stretch fabrication test is carried out, and it is verified that it is possible to increase the yield strength of the film membrane structures. After simulating the experiment also carries out an analytical investigation, and the effectiveness of the elasto-plastic analysis considering the viscous behavior of the film is investigated. Finally, post-aging tension measurement is conducted at the experimental facilities, and the viscosity behavior resulting from relaxation is investigated with respect to tensile membrane structures.

  • The hydrogen atom transfer reaction between substituted methane, $CH_3X,$ and its radical, $CH_2X(X=H,F,CH_3,CN,OH\;and\;NH_2$ was studied by MINDO/3 method. The transition state(TS) structure and energy barriers were determined and variation of the transition state and of the reactivity due to the change of X were analyzed based on the potential energy surface characteristics. It was found that the greater the radical stabilization energy. the looser the TS becomes; the TS occurs at about 15% stretch of the C-H bond, which becomes longer as the radical stabilization energy of $CH_2X$ increasers. The intrinsic barrier, ${\Delta}E*_{x.x},$ of the reaction with X was found to increase in the order $H The degree of bond stretch of the C-H bond stretch of the C-H bond at the TS also had the same order indicating that the homolytic bond cleavage of the C-H bond is rate-determining. Orbital interactions at the TS between LUMO of the fragment $C{\ldots}H{\ldots}C$ and the symmetry adapted pair of nonbonding, $n{\pm}(=n_1{\pm}n_2),$ or pi orbitals of the two X atoms were shown to be the dominant contribution in determining tightness or looseness of the TS. The Marcus equation was shown to apply to the MINDO/3 barriers and energy changes of the reaction.

Differences of Zooplankton Development Along a Lake and a River Stretch of the River Spree (Germany) (스프리 강 (독일) 내의 호수와 강 구획에서의 동물플랑크톤 성장의 차이)

  • Factors most strongly related to zooplankton growth rates were studied along a lake and a river stretch in the middle part of the lowland River Spree. The study was conducted at the lake inflow (S1), the lake outflow (S2), and at the end of a 21 km stretch of the outflow (S3) from March to November of 1999. Total zooplankton biomass increased significantly at S2 and then sharply decreased at S3. The abundance of microzooplankton (rotifers and nauplii) was strongly higher than macrozooplankton (cladocerans and copepodids) at all station. However, macrozooplankton biomass (${\mu}$g dw 1$^{-1}$) was similar or much higher than microzooplankton biomass. Large-bodied cladocerans (Daphnia cucullata) dominated at S2 while small-bodied cladocerans (Bosmina longirostris) dominated at S1 and S3. Patterns in growth rates (r$_{t}$ in d$^{-1}$ of the major zooplankton community were greatly different between S1 and S2 (lake stretch) and between S2 and S3 (river stretch). In the lake, growth rates generally were positive, while values of growth rates were negative in the river stretch. Among the environmental variables considered, partial retention time (PRT, d$^{-1}$) seemed to play the most important role in determining characteristics of the zooplankton community structure in the middle part of River Spree.

A Numerical Analysis of the Characteristics with High Temperature Air Combustion in Counterflow Diffusion Flame (대향류 확산화염의 고온공기 연소특성에 관한 수치해석)

  • High temperature air combustion technology has been utilized by using preheated air over 1100 K and excessive exhaust gas recirculation. Numerical analysis was performed to investigate the combustion characteristics with high temperature deficient oxygen air combustion by adopting a counterflow as a model problem accounting for detailed chemical kinetics. Methane($CH_4$) was used as a test fuel and calculated oxidizer conditions were low temperature high oxygen (300K, $X_{O2}=0.21$) and high temperature low oxygen (1300K, $X_{O2}=0.04$) conditions. The latter case showed that the flame temperature is lower than the former case and its profile showed monotonic decrease from oxidizer to fuel side, without having local maximum flame temperature at high stretch rate. Also, heat release rate was one order lower and it has one peak profile because of low oxygen concentration and heat release rate integral is almost same for stretch rate. High temperature low oxygen air combustion shows low NO emission characteristics.

  • Tactile sensation is essential for many manipulation and exploration tasks not only in a real environment but also in a virtual environment. In this paper, we discuss a conceptual design of an integrated tactile display system. The system comprises two parts: a 2 DOF force feedback device for kinesthetic display and a tactile feedback device for displaying the normal stimulation to skin and the skin slip/stretch. Psychophysical experiments measure the effects of fingerpad selection, the direction of finger movements and the texture width on tactile sensitivity. We also investigate characteristics of lateral finger movement while subjects perceive different textures. From the experimental results, the principal parameters for designing a tactile display are suggested. A tactile display device is implemented using eight piezoelectric bimorphs and a linear actuator, and is attached to a 2 DOF translational force feedback device to simultaneously simulate texture and stiffness of the object.

  • Modified atmosphere packagings were designed by combining the respiration characteristics of the enoki mushroom at 10oC and the measured film permeabilities to O2 and CO2 gases to attain the beneficial package atmosphere were fabricated and tested during storage. The packages of 100g size with 30 m low density polyethylene and cast polypropylene showed the good agreement between estimated and experimental package atmospheres. However, polyvinylchloride stretch wrap packs showed the gas composition close to the air, which was due to leaking of stretch wrapping. The CPP package attaining O2 below 1% and CO2 concentration of 15~20% gave the best retention of quality and thus the longest shelf life among the tried packages, and it was superior to the others in the Hunter L value, stipe elongation and sensory qualties.

  • This study presents the preform injection molding and the blow molding of the injection stretch-blow molding process for PET bottles. The numerical analysis of the injection molding and the blow molding of a preform is considered in this paper using CAE with a view to minimize the warpage and the thickness. In order to determine the design parameters and processing conditions in injection/blow molding, it is very important to establish the numerical model with physical phenomenon. In this study, we appropriately predicted the warpage, deformation and thickness distribution along the product walls.
