A Study on Stress Analysis of Orthotropic Composite Cylindrical Shells with a Circular or an Elliptical Cutout

  • The stress analysis on orthotropic composite cylindrical shells with one circular or one elliptical cutout subjected to an axial force is carried out by using an analytical and experimental method. The composite cylindrical shell governing equation of the Donnell's type is applied to this study and all results are presented by the stress concentration factor. The stress concentration factor is defined as the ratio of the stress on the region around a cutout to the nominal stress of the shell. The stress concentration factor is classified into the circumferential stress concentration factors and the radial stress concentration factors due to the cylindrical coordinate of which the origin is the center of a cutout. The considered loading condition is only axial tension loading condition. In this study, thus, the maximum stress is induced on perpendicular region against axial direction, on the coordinate. Various cutout sizes are expressed using the radius ratio, (equation omitted), which is the radius of a cutout over one of the cylindrical shell. Experimental results are obtained using strain gages, which are attached around a cutout of the cylindrical shell. As the result from this study, the stress concentration around a cutout can be predicted by using the analytical method for an orthotropic composite cylindrical shell having a circular or an elliptical cutout.

보건행정전공 대학생의 취업스트레스에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors Affecting Job Finding Stress of University Students Majoring Public Health Administration)

  • The present study aims to determine the grade and factors of the effects that influence the stress related to job finding of the university students majoring public health administration. The data was collected for 4days from June 7, 2011. Among a total of 360 cases of the questionaries, only 324 cases were used. To data were analyzed by frequency, t-test, ANOVA, correlation and regression using PASW statistics 18.0. From the analyses, it was found that school environment and study-related stress were some of major causes for stress in job finding. There was statistically significant difference in the sub-areas of job finding-related stress by gender, age, type of school, school grade, whether or not the graduating class and satisfaction with the major selected. There was statistically significant difference among the sub-areas of job finding-related stress such as academic achievements, characters, and school and family environments and whether in graduating class of collegians and their satisfaction with the major they chose turned out to exercise statistically significant impact upon the stress of the students majoring public health administration.

민간경비원의 직무스트레스와 직무만족도의 관계 (Correlation between Job Stress and Job Satisfaction of Private Security Guard)

  • 본 연구는 민간경비원의 직무스트레스 및 직무만족의 관계를 규명하여 민간경비산업에서 일선에서 중요한 역할을 담당하는 민간경비원의 문제점을 효과적으로 파악하여 민간경비업의 효과적인 조직운영 안을 제시하고자 하는 데 연구의 목적이 있다. 서울 및 충청남도의 민간경비업체의 직원을 대상으로 편의표집을 이용하여 총 351명을 대상으로 연구를 수행하였다. 조사도구는 설문지로서 국내 외 선행연구를 기초로 하여 재구성하여 사용하였으며, 자료 처리는 SPSS version 18.0 통계패키지를 이용하여 빈도분석, 신뢰도분석, 요인분석, 상관관계분석, 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 이상의 연구방법과 절차에 따른 자료분석을 통하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 민간경비원의 직무스트레스와 직무만족의 하위요인 중 업무만족의 관계를 분석한 결과 역할갈등, 임금체계스트레스가 낮을수록 업무만족이 높다. 둘째, 민간경비원의 직무스트레스와 직무만족의 하위요인 중 상사만족의 관계를 분석한 결과 임금체계, 책임감, 역할갈등스트레스가 낮을수록 상사만족이 높다. 셋째, 민간경비원의 직무스트레스와 직무만족의 하위요인 중 기회균등만족의 관계를 분석한 결과 직무스트레스 하위 요인 중 임금체계, 역할갈등, 책임감스트레스가 낮을수록 기회균등만족이 높다. 넷째, 직무스트레스와 직무만족의 하위요인 중 복리후생의 관계를 분석한 결과 직무스트레스 하위 요인 중 임금체계, 역할갈등스트레스가 낮을수록 복리후생만족이 높다. 다섯째, 직무스트레스와 직무만족의 하위요인 중 임금만족의 관계를 분석한 결과 직무스트레스 하위 요인 중 임금체계, 역할갈등스트레스가 낮을수록 임금만족이 높다. 여섯째, 직무스트레스와 직무만족의 하위요인 중 직장의 자긍심의 관계를 분석한 결과 직무스트레스 하위 요인 중 임금체계, 역할갈등스트레스가 낮을수록 직장의 자긍심이 높다. 일곱째, 직무스트레스와 직무만족의 하위요인 중 동료만족의 관계를 분석한 결과 직무스트레스 하위 요인 중 역할갈등, 임금체계스트레스가 낮을수록 동료만족이 높다.

Influence of some key factors on material damping of steel beams

  • Material damping affects the dynamic behaviors of engineering structures considerably, but up to till now little research is maintained on influence factors of material damping. Based on the damping-stress function of steel, the material damping of steel beams is obtained by calculating the stress distribution of the beams with an analytical method. Some key influence factors of the material damping, such as boundary condition, amplitude and frequency of excitation, load position as well as the cross-sectional dimension of a steel beam are analyzed respectively. The calculated results show that even in elastic scope, material damping does not remain constant but varies with these influence factors. Although boundary condition affects material damping to some extent, such influence can be neglected when the maximum stress amplitude of the beam is less than the fatigue limit of steel. Exciting frequency, load position and cross-section dimension have great effects on the material damping of the beam which maintain the similar changing trend under different boundary conditions respectively.

소방공무원의 직무스트레스, 사회심리적 요인 및 수면의 질이 피로수준에 미치는 영향에 대한 공분산 구조분석 (Covariance Structure Analysis on the Impact of Job Stress, Psychological Factors and Sleep Quality on Fatigue Symptoms among Fire Fighters)

  • 본 연구는 공분산구조분석을 이용하여 소방공무원의 직무스트레스, 사회심리적 요인(A형 행동유형, 자기존중감, 통제신념) 및 수면의 질이 피로수준에 미치는 영향을 규명하고자 하였다. 공분산 구조분석 결과, 피로수준에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 요소는 직무스트레스 요인에 이어, 사회심리적 요인, 수면의 질 순서로 나타났다. 이와 같은 결과는 소방공무원의 피로수준이 직무스트레스, 사회심리적 요인, 수면의 질과의 인과관계가 성립됨을 시사한다. 따라서 소방공무원의 피로수준 감소를 위한 근무환경의 개선뿐만 아니라 제도적인 뒷받침이 필요하리라 생각된다.

인공호흡기 치료환자의 이탈(weaning) 성공 관련 요인에 대한 연구 (A Study of The Related Factors to Successful Weaning from Mechanical Ventilation in leu Patients)

  • Purpose : The Purpose of this study was to identify the physiological, psychological factors to successful weaning of mechanical ventilation in ICU patients. Method: Data was collected by interview with the use of questionnaires from 70 ICU patients, who were mechanically ventilated more than 3days at Y university medical center. Data was analyzed with descriptive statics, t-test, and $x^2$ test, and Pearson Coefficient Correlation using SPSS WIN 12.0 program. Result: ICU patients with mechanical ventilator during weaning period reported high levels of anxiety, moderate levels of stress, and fatigue. The physiological, psychological factors influencing ventilator weaning success were RSBI(p=0.007), stress(p=0.009), anxiety(p=0.020), depression(p=0.040), fatigue(p=0.001), and dyspnea(p=0.010). The RSBI factor was shown to have positive correlations with ventilator care periods, $PaCO_2$, and fatigue. Dyspnea was also positively correlated with stress, anxiety, depression, and fatigue. Conclusion: This study suggests that RSBI, stress, anxiety, depression, fatigue, and dyspnea are significant factors to successful weaning from mechanical ventilation.

간호·간병통합서비스 병동 간호사의 이직의도 영향요인: 직무 스트레스, 감정노동 및 소진을 중심으로 (Factors Affecting Turnover Intention of Nurses in Comprehensive Nursing Care Service Wards: Focusing on Occupational Stress, Emotional Labor, and Burnout)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore the factors affecting turnover intention of nurse who work in comprehensive nursing care service wards. Methods: The study design was a cross-sectional study. We recruited participants in 5 general hospitals located in Gyeonggi. Data were collected using structured questionnaires. Data of 150 nurses were included in the final analysis. Multiple regression analysis was used to identify the influencing factors on turnover intention. Results: Work in the thoracic surgery department (β=.158, p=.045), Emotional labor (β=.282, p=.004), occupational stress (β=.222, p=.004), and burnout (β=.249, p=.003) were identified as factors influencing turnover intention. These factors explained 39.1% of the variance of turnover intention. Conclusion: The findings suggest that it is important to reduce emotional labor and occupational stress to reduce turnover intention for nurse in comprehensive nursing care service wards.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze various factors comprising a job satisfaction; determine possible factors that affects job satisfaction. Job satisfaction model is designed to evaluate major factors, such as job stress and strength, and to assess relationship between these factors. Partial least squares algorithm is used to develop a job satisfaction measurement model. To evaluate validity of developed model, survey data of health insurance review and assessment service is to applied.

열차 운전 종사자를 대상으로 한 인적오류의 개선 방안 연구 (A Study on the Prevention Measures of Human Error with Railway Drivers)

  • In this study, the causes of human error were identified through the survey of the drivers of the three organizations: Seoul Metro, Seoul Metropolitan Rapid Transit Corporation, and Korail. It was started with the aim of finding and eliciting causes in various directions including human factors, job factors, and environmental factors. The Cronbach alpha value was 0.95 for the reliability significance of the stress-induced factors in the operational area. The significance probability for organisational factors was shown to be 0.82, and the significance of the sub-accident experience and the driving skill factors in operation was 0.81 In addition, the analysis results showed that stress-induced in the field of driving is higher than the human factors in the reliability analysis. The results of the analysis confirmed that the reliability of the organizational and operational stress-induced factors was higher than other causes. In order to reduce urban railroad accidents, this paper suggests a method for operating safe urban railroad through the minimization human errors.

Impact of Psychosocial Factors on Occurrence of Medication Errors among Tehran Public Hospitals Nurses by Evaluating the Balance between Effort and Reward

  • Background: Patient safety and accurate implementation of medication orders are among the essential requirements of par nursing profession. In this regard, it is necessary to determine and prevent factors influencing medications errors. Although many studies have investigated this issue, the effects of psychosocial factors have not been examined thoroughly. Methods: The present study aimed at investigating the impact of psychosocial factors on nurses' medication errors by evaluating the balance between effort and reward. This cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted in public hospitals of Tehran in 2015. The population of this work consisted of 379 nurses. A multisection questionnaire was used for data collection. Results: In this research, 29% of participating nurses reported medication errors in 2015. Most frequent errors were related to wrong dosage, drug, and patient. There were significant relationships between medications errors and the stress of imbalance between effort and reward (p < 0.02) and job commitment and stress (p < 0.027). Conclusion: It seems that several factors play a role in the occurrence of medication errors, and psychosocial factors play a crucial and major role in this regard. Therefore, it is necessary to investigate these factors in more detail and take them into account in the hospital management.
