The purpose of this study was to confirm that the property generalization to social categories with low coherence is stronger when stress due to COVID-19 is perceived as high, compared to when stress is perceived as low. To this end, this study selected categories with high coherence(nun, soldier, flight attendant) and categories with low coherence(wedding planner, interpreter, florist), and recruited 336 participants to perform a category-based inductive generalization task(inferring how many properties repeatedly observed by some category members would appear across all category members), and measured their perceived COVID-19 stress. As a result, this study showed that when the cohesion of social categories is high, the effect of property generalization is stronger than when it is low, and the effect of property generalization is stronger in those who perceive stress due to Corona 19 higher than those who perceive it as low. In addition, this study confirmed that people who perceive COVID-19 stress strongly tend to generalize strongly to properties that are repeatedly observed in the low coherence category. This study is important in that it shows that there is a cognitive mechanism that is at the root of the phenomenon that stereotypes and prejudices deepen and discriminatory behaviors increase after the outbreak of COVID-19, such as COVID-19 stress and the resulting increase in attribute generalization tendency.

Objective The aim of this study was to investigate stress-related factors. Method: The subjects were 22,937 persons who had received health examination by Korean Medicine and submitted questionnaires for 8 months from March to November in 2011. The stress was measured by heart rate variability in an automobile manufacturing industry. We analyzed the relationship between stress and other factors including ages, smoke amount, drinking frequency, exercise frequency, occupational category, conjugal condition by multivariate analysis with SPSS ver. 19.0. Results: Comparing "normal" to "very bad" and "bad" level of stress, ages, drinking frequency, conjugal condition are not significant difference(p>0.05). But smoking amount and occupational category are significant difference(p<0.05). Whereas comparing "normal" to "very good" and "good" level of stress, ages, occupational category, conjugal condition, smoking amount, drinking frequency are not significant difference(p>0.05). Exercise is significant difference(p<0.05). Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that smoke is affected to stress negatively, whereas exercise is affected to stress positively.

Stresses of main stop valve and control valve casings for the steam turbines of power plants are analyzed by the finite element method. The stress intensity is obtained to check the results on the basis of the design criteria of ASME boiler and pressure vessel code. To verify accuracy of the finite element analysis. analyzed stresses are compared with those measured during the hydrostatic pressure test. Stress category drawings. which play an important role in evaluating casting defects, are produced from the analysis results, and important points in casting of the valve casings are discussed in terms of the stress category.
The purpose of this study was to explore the effect of maternal perception of children's temperament on parenting stress. The subjects of this study were 303 mothers of four to six-year-old. Evaluations of Parent and Teacher temperament questionnaire for Children 3-7 years of age(Tomas, Chess, & Kom, 1977)(korean version) was used to measure children's temperament, and PDH(Parenting Daily Hassles) was used to measure maternal perception of parenting stress. Data were analyzed by descriptive analysis, t-test, ANOVA, Peasons's Correlation and multiple regression analysis and Duncan test for post test by SPSS WIN program. The results of this study were as follows; First, the average level of maternal perception of children's temperament was the highest in the category of adaptability and the lowest in the category of threshold of responsiveness. Second, maternal perception of children's temperament was significantly different according to children's sex. Boys were perceived higher than girls for the category of activity level. Third, the degree of daily hassles was explained by adaptability, the quality of mood, and activity level relatively, while the intensity of parenting stress could be predicted orderly by adaptability, threshold of responsiveness, attention span & persistence, regularity, and activity level. Fourth, mother's daily hassles was explained 22% valiance by children's temperament such as adaptability, the quality of mood, and activity level. Future research should be done to identify the interaction of temperamental factors.
The purpose of this study was firstly to identify how the characteristics of children(grades, birth order, self-consciousness), parents(age, educational level, employment status of mother, mother's parenting behavior), and context (private tutoring status, tying area) relate to children's stress and secondly to examine the relative effects of these variables on children's stress. The subjects of this study were 940(453 boys, 440 girls) children from grades 4 to 6 who were selected from three elementary schools in Seoul and Buchun. Data were analyzed with t-test, correlation, and multiple regression analysis. The results were as follows: (1) Girls get stressed easier than boys in terms of being treated distantly by their friends. (2) The study showed a negative relationship between children's stress and their self-consciousness such as general self-consciousness, teaming self-consciousness and total self-consciousness. (3) While the results showed a negative relationship between children's stress and mothers' acceptable behavior, the study revealed a positive relationship between children's stress and the mother's over protective behavior which in turn raised the children's stress level. (4) In 'total stress', it was recognized that boys were affected mostly tv grades in the children's variables category, while girls were affected by their general self-consciouness. In addition, both girls and boys were affected mostly by acceptable-refusal parental behavior in the parental variables category, and further affected by the living area in the category of conditional variables.
The aim of this study is to examine effects of a yoga program for children on school stress of the elementary school children. To achieve this goal, total 10 students out of 231 in 6 classes among the third graders in M elementary school in B city were selected as subjects for this study. After regular school hours, they participated in a children's yoga program for 16 times for 45 minutes per session in the course of 8 weeks. An ethnographic interview was conducted to identify the effects of the program. During the initial stage of the children's yoga program, the participants were interviewed preliminarily. An analysis of areas and an analysis of classifications were made based on the initial interview results, and an area classification table was drawn on the school stress perceived by the elementary school children. After the yoga program ended, a follow up interview was made to apply an analysis of components by comparing changes in the school stress level due to a yoga effect. A research report was written through a cycle of addition and supplement in which the previous data analysis was complemented and corrected by new findings of the study. As a result of the ethnographic interview to analyze the school stress perceived by the elementary school children, and an examination of the changes in the school stress level, the children's yoga program proved to be significantly effective in reducing the school stress. However there were limitations to a certain degree in stress reduction. Details of such findings in each sub-category are as follow. First, as a result of the initial interview analysis, the school stress was classified broadly into 4 categories of study stress, friendship stress, teacher stress, and school environment stress. Second, the study stress as the first category of the school stress was classified into 3 sub-categories of homework, class, and exam stresses. In spite of minor differences among 3 sub-categories, the stress was reduced in general. Third, the friendship stress as the second category of the school stress was also classified into 3 sub-categories of bullying, alienation, and performing one's duty. There were minor differences among sub-categories, however stress reduction also appeared with the exception of the performing one's duty category which had relatively little effect from the yoga program. Fourth, regarding the teacher stress as the third school stress, a classification was made into 3 sub-categories of preference, penalty, and teaching method. Minor differences among the 3 sub-categories notwithstanding, stress reduction appeared with the exception of the teaching method stress which had relatively little effect from the yoga program. Fifth, the school environment stress as the fourth category of the school stress was classified into 2 sub-categories of school meals and facilities. Minor differences between the 2 categories notwithstanding, stress reduction appeared with the facilities stress having relatively little effect.
In steel bridges, there are several details that constrain the deformation such as buckling by external forces. Most of these details which are composed of the intersection members have scallops in order to exclude the weld defects inherently and to get the ease of fabrication and also to decrease the stress concentration. In this study, stress relief hole (SRH) near stress concentration zone with detail category D or under is proposed as a method to improve the resistance on the fatigue crack initiation to detail category C. And the effects of the appropriate size and location of SRH were examined and the applicability to improve the fatigue resistance of the floorbeam web and the rib wall at rib/floorbeam intersection in the orthotropic steel deck bridge was evaluated.

Psychological stress and physical fatigue, such as anxiety, fear, sleep disturbance, etc., caused by exposure to the war, can lead to post-traumatic stress syndrome(PTSD) or war syndrome. The military has also prepared for drug use to minimize war syndrome and preserve combat strength. However, efforts to prevent war syndrome are still lacking. This study was conducted to identify biomarkers that can track psychophysiological changes. Psychophysiological changes associated with PTSD can be divided into four main categories. The four categories are behavioral changes, changes in brain cognition, neuroimmunological changes, and changes in innate immunity. This study suggest that biomarker profile can be made by the distance moved and the anxiety-like behavior in the open field for behavior category, brain BDNF levels in the brain cognition category, serum corticosterone in the neuroimmunology category, and inflammatory cytokine levels in the innate immunity category.
The purpose of this study was to find factors affecting health of the rural residents. The data were collected from a sample of 2,587 people aged from 40 to 70 in the year 2005-2006, Wonju City and Pyeongchang County, Gangwon-do, Korea. The theoretical model adopted in this study was the Lalonde's health field(human biology, environment, lifestyle, and health care organization). SF-12 was used to measure subjective health status. In the category of human biology, men were healthier than women. Age and BMI showed negative relation to health status. Income, education and social support showed positive relation to health status in the environment category. In the category of life style, stress showed negative relation to health status. Medical expenses showed negative relation to health status in the category of health care organization. After converting SF-12 score to percentage score, the health determinants portions were 47% lifestyle, 26% environment, 18% human biology and 9% health care organization. These findings suggest that life style, environment and biology are main factors in determinants of health. Especially stress in the life style category is more focused for the community health promotion. We also may be able to improve income, education and social support in the environment category with self empowerment efforts, community supports and government helps. Finally greater attention must be payed to life style in the future health planning and budget allocation priority in the healthcare area.
