  • Many servers, such as web and database servers, receive a continual stream of requests. The servers should schedule these requests to provide the best services to users. In this paper, a hybrid genetic algorithm is proposed for scheduling divisible requests without interruption in which the objective is to minimize the total stretch. The stretch of a request is the ratio of the amount of time the request spent in the system to its response time. The hybrid genetic algorithm adopts the idea of seed selection and development in order to improve the exploitation and exploration power of genetic algorithms. Extensive computational experiments have been conducted to compare the performance of the hybrid genetic algorithm with that of genetic algorithms.

  • Intentional city bands and public radio frequencies could reduce the internet transmission speed on the wired lines because AM and HF band are overlapping on the xDSL up and down data steam by way of the wired transmission lines. We were designed the adaptive common mode rejection circuit with 2 way amplifier against public radio frequency. Specially our circuits were applied for power and signal lines. We could reduced the common mode rejection up to 30dB and increased the up stream speed around 1.8 times using a our developed equipments. Also it could expanded the transmission distance up to 1.7 times than old lines.

  • As the Internet of Things evolves, various IoT services are provided. IFTTT is an abbreviation for If This Then That and refers to a service that links different web-based services. This paper proposes a system that generates and manages rules that combine the possibility of IFTTT service and the real-time event processing according to the concept of IoT service. Conventional database-based data processing methods are burdened to process a lot of data of IoT devices coming in real-time. The IoT device's data can be classified into formal data such as the amount of power, temperature value and position information, and informal data such as video or image data. Thus, this system classifies the data stream of IoT devices coming in real-time using the CEP engine Esper into a file signature table, classifies the formal/informal data, and shows the condition of the device data defined by the user and the service to be provided by applying the service.

  • In this paper are presented main power and gasdynamic characteristics of C-l6VK hypersonic test cell of Research Test Center of CIAM. Gasdynamic adjustment of the C-l6VK test cell was carried out with the working section constructed on scheme of Ramjet/scramjet test in free stream. Gasdynamic adjustment was conducted stage by stage in tile following sequence. First, check and preparation of all technical systems and checking measuring system. Than determination of the characteristics of test cell on cold (without the heating of air at entrance) regime and determination of the characteristics of test cell on regimes with the heating of air. Finally determination of tile characteristics of test cell with the loading of the working part by object. On tile final stage of gasdynamic adjustment two experiments with tile axisymmetric Scramjet model loaded into the working part of test cell were conducted. The first experiment was conducted with the purpose of determination of flow parameters with the object leaded into the working part and verification of experiment cyclogram. The second experiment was conducted with injection of hydrogen into the combustion chamber of object, that is tile conditions on test cell simulated Scramjet flight Mach number M = 6. Such methodology of gasdynamic adjustment allows to determine influence of experimental object on flow parameters in the working part at different conditions of experiment (with the burning in combustion chamber of object and without the homing), and also to compare flow characteristics in the object duct.

  • In devising a numerical approximation for the convective spatial transport of a fluid mechanical quantity, it is noted that the convective motion of a scalar quantity occurs in one-way, or from upstream to downstream. This consideration leads to a new scheme termed a pure upwind difference scheme (PUDS) in which an estimated value for a fluid mechanical quantity at a control surface is not influenced from downstream values. The formal accuracy of the proposed scheme is third order accurate. Two typical benchmark problems of a wall-driven fluid flow in a square cavity and a buoyancy-driven natural convection in a tall cavity are computed to evaluate performance of the proposed method. for comparison, the widely used simple upwind scheme, power-law scheme, and QUICK methods are also considered. Computation results are encouraging: the proposed PUDS sensitized to the convection direction produces the least numerical diffusion among tested convection schemes, and, notable improvements in representing recirculation of fluid stream and spatial change of a scalar. Although the formal accuracy of PUDS and QUICK are the same, the accuracy difference of approximately a single order is observed from the revealed results.

  • Erosion due to abrasive particles contained in gas streams from boilers has been emerged as a significant problem in the coal fired power plants. Particle erosion accounted for approximately 50% of boiler failures and especially flyash erosion was responsible for 20~30% of emergency boiler shutdowns. Particularly, because of the high ash loading and high velocity, most erosion occurs in the boiler tubes and economiser tube bank where the direction of the gas stream changes to $180^{\circ}$ .In this study, a high temperature particle erosion tester was used to evaluate erosion rate in a simulated environment. The erosion parameters such as erosion temperature, particle impact angle, particle velocity and various particle size were changed. Flyash is the combustion product of the pulverized coal, where size is ranging from 1 to $200\mu\textrm{m}$. Flyash composed of mainly SiO$_2$, $A1_2$$_O3$, and $Fe_2$$O_3$has dense spherical particles and irregular particles containing numerous pores and cavities. From the erosion tests at various conditions, the maximum erosion was experienced at impact angles of $30^{\circ}$ to $60^{\circ}$ In addition, erosion rate increased in proportional to velocity and temperature. And from the observation of the eroded surfaces, it was also concluded that 304 stainless steel was mainly eroded by extrusion-forging at high impact angle ($90^{\circ}$) and by microcutting mechanism at low impact angles ($30^{\circ}$ and $45^{\circ}$).

  • The integrated gasification combined cycle (IGCC) is one of the most promising proposed processes for advanced electric power generation that is likely to replace conventional coal combustion. This emerging technology will not only improve considerably the thermal efficiency but also reduce or eliminate the environmentally adverse effects normally associated with coal combustion. The IGCC process gasifies coal under reducing conditions with essentially all the sulfur existing in the form of hydrogen sulfide ($H_2S$) in the product fuel gas. The need to remove $H_2S$ from coal derived fuel gases is a significant concern which stems from stringent government regulations and also, from a technical point of view and a need to protect turbines from corrosion. The waste seashells were used for the removal of hydrogen sulfide from a hot gas stream. The sulphidation of waste seashells with $H_2S$ was studied in a thermogravimetric analyzer at temperature between $600^{\circ}C$ and $800^{\circ}C$. The desulfurization performance of the waste seashell sorbents was experimentally tested in a fixed bed reactor system. Sulfidation experiments performed under reaction conditions similar to those at the exit of a coal gasifier showed that preparation procedure and technique, the type and the amount of seashell, and the size of the seashell affects the $H_2S$ removal capacity of the sorbents. The pore structure of fresh and sulfided seashell sorbents was analyzed using mercury porosimetry, nitrogen adsorption, and scanning electronmicroscopy.

  • Aiming at one of decisive alternatives for long term aspect of nuclear power concerns, an integral and closed nuclear system, AMBIDEXTER (Advanced Molten-salt Break-even Inherently-safe Dual-mission Experimental and TEst Reactor) concept is under development. The AMBIDEXTER complex essentially comprises two mutually independent loops of the radiation/material transport and the heat/energy conversion, centered at the integrated reactor assembly, which enables one to utilize maximum benefits of nuclear energy under minimum risks of nuclear radiation. And it provides precious radioisotopes and radiation sources from its waste stream. Also the reactor operates at very low level of fission products inventory throughout its lifetime. The nuclear and thermalhydraulic characteristics of the molten TH/$^{233}$ U fuel salt extend the capability of the self-sustaining AMBIDEXTER fuel cycle to enhance resource security and safeguard transparency. The reactor system is consisted of a single component module of the core, heat exchangers and recirculation pumps with neither pipe connections nor active valves in between, which will significantly improve inherent features of nuclear safety. States of the core technologies associated with designing and developing the AMBIDEXTER concept are mostly available in commercialized form and thus demonstration of integral aspects of the concept should be the prime area in future R&D programs.

  • The present paper is concerned with non-isothermal spherical Couette flow of Oldroyd-B fluid in the annular region between two concentric spheres. The inner sphere rotates with a uniform angular velocity while the outer sphere is kept at rest. Moreover, the two spherical boundaries are maintained at fixed temperature values. Hence, the fluid is effect by two heat sources; namely, the viscous heating and the temperature gradient between the two spheres. The viscoelasticity of the fluid is assumed to dominate the inertia such that the latter can be neglected. An approximate analytical solution of the energy and momentum equations is obtained through the expansion of the dynamical fields in power series of Nahme number. The analysis show that, the temperature variation due to the external source appears in the zero order solution and its effect extends to the fluid velocity distribution up to present second order. Viscous heating contributes in the first and second order solutions. In contrast to isothermal case, a first order axial velocity and a second order stream function fields has been appeared. Moreover, at higher orders the temperature distribution depends on the gap width between the two spheres. Finally, there exist a thermal distribution of positive and negative values depend on their positions in the domain region between the two spheres.

  • This study is investigated on flow analysis according to grill configuration of radiator. The stream of flow which pass through radiator grill in car body and the contour of pressure distribution are estimated by the basis. As the magnitude of resistance force which flow affects the car body is investigated so that the power reduction can be reduced. As the pressure inside radiator grill is assessed, more efficiency can be investigated in order that the flow rate inside car body can be increased. Model 2 has the most air resistance and model 1 has the least among model 1, 2 and 3. Model 1 has the most air flow rate at inside. There are model 3 and 2 simulated according to flow rate. As the curved surface at radiator grill configuration increases in number, air flow rate becomes distributed uniformly. By considering the effect on air resistance and air flow rate at radiator grill, model 3 becomes the most effective configuration.
