정보기술과 기업전략의 융합에 관한 연구 (Convergence of Information Technology and Corporate Strategy)

  • 인터넷 기술을 채택한 기업들은 왜곡된 시장 신호에 혼란을 겪고 있다. 이처럼 새로운 기업현상에 직면한 기업들이 시장의 신호가 아니라, 시장의 결과를 이용하여 전략의 지침으로 삼고자 하는 것은 당연하다고 할 수 있다. 그러나 일반적으로 새로운 정보기술의 출시 초기에는 시장의 신호를 신뢰할 수는 없다. 새로운 정보기술은 기업과 고객들로 하여금 난무하는 실험들을 촉발시키고, 이러한 실험들은 경제적 지속성이 없다고 볼 수 있다. 이러한 결과로 인해서, 시장의 행동은 왜곡되고, 기업은 시장의 행동을 조심스럽게 해석해야 한다. 서론에서 비즈니스 모델의 개념을 검토하고, 비즈니스 모델에서 전략의 역할들을 소개한다. 2장 에서는 전략분석을 통한 시장, 제품, 가치사슬 및 추구하지 말아야할 시장, 제품, 사업영역들에 대해서 분석하고, 고개들을 만족시키기 위한 전략적 포지셔닝 방법들을 소개하고, 이러한 전략적 포지셔닝에 정보기술을 어떻게 이용하는 방법들을 제시하고 있다.. 3장 에서는 전략을 형성하는데 유용한 요인들을 이해하기 위한 주요 프레임웍들을 소개한다. 전략적 그리드 모형을 이용하여 정보기술이 기업의 운영과 전략에 미치는 효과를 네 가지 범주로 분류하고 있으며, 전략적 조정 모델은 비즈니스 모델의 모든 구성요소들에 걸쳐서 비즈니스와 정보기술 간의 조정을 평가할 수 있는 방법을 제시한다. 본 연구는 비즈니스 모델의 개념을 검토하고, 전략을 형성하는 요인들과 이러한 요인들을 이해하기 위해 유용한 프레임웍들을 소개한다. 본 연구의 목적은 지속가능한 경쟁 우위를 산출하기 위해서 어떻게 정보기술을 이용하는지에 대한 지침을 제공하고자 한다.

글로벌 혁신클러스터로서 연구개발특구 추진전략에 관한 연구 -대덕, 광주, 대구 연구개발특구의 연계 시나리오를 중심으로- (The Strategy for the Development of the Innopolis as a Global Innovation Cluster -Focused on the Scenario Planning of the Daedeok, Gwangju, Daegu Innopolis-)

  • 본 연구에서는 글로벌 혁신클러스터로서 연구개발특구를 살펴보고 향후 추진전략에 대해서 고찰하였다. 이러한 연구 목적을 달성하기 위해서 혁신클러스터의 이론전개, 글로벌 혁신클러스터의 개념 및 성공사례를 살펴보았다. 또한, 본 연구의 분석 대상인 연구개발특구의 개념과 현황을 고찰하였다. 본 연구에서는 글로벌 혁신클러스터로서 연구개발특구의 추진전략 도출을 위하여 시나리오플래닝 방법론이 활용되었으며, 이를 통해 3가지 전략방향이 도출되었다. 첫 번째는 연구개발특구가 혁신클러스터의 단계적 발전단계에 맞추어 발전할 수 있도록 하드웨어 구축 뿐만 아니라 산학협력, 기업지원 등 소프트웨어적인 측면에서 체계적인 단지육성전략을 추진해야 한다. 두 번째는 대덕특구외에도 새로이 특구로 지정된 광주, 대구특구와 조정, 협력, 네트워크를 강화하는 것이다. 세 번째는 새로이 기초과학중심의 혁신클러스터로 추진되고 있는 국제과학비즈니스벨트와의 연계를 강화하며 기초과학과 산업화 클러스터간의 시너지를 창출하는 것이다. 글로벌 혁신클러스터로서 연구개발특구의 전략방향을 다차원적으로 고찰한 본 논문은 향후 클러스터 추진 관련 연구 조직에게 큰 함의를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

무엇이 중소기업의 개방형 혁신을 결정하는가? 전략-문화 혼합유형과 환경 역동성을 고려한 실증연구 (What Determines Open Innovation in SMEs? An Empirical Study Considering the Strategy-Culture Mixed Typology and Environmental Dynamism)

  • 본 연구는 전략-문화 혼합유형과 환경 역동성을 고려하여 중소기업의 개방형 혁신에 적합한 상황 및 유형을 실증적으로 규명하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 174개 중소기업을 대상으로 4개 집단으로 분류하여 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 전략-문화가 일치하는 PD형은 내·외향형 혁신 모두 혁신성과에 긍정적 영향을 미치고 동적 기술환경에서 내향형 혁신을 통해 성과를 향상시켰다. 반대로 DH형은 내·외향형 혁신 모두 유의한 효과가 없었다. 둘째, 전략-문화가 불일치하는 PH형과 DD형은 외향형과 내향형 중 단일 혁신만 성과에 영향을 미쳤다. 한편, PH, DD, DH형은 환경 역동성에 따른 조절효과는 확인되지 않았다. 개방형 혁신을 지향하는 중소기업은 변화·혁신 지향형 전략과 창의·도전적 문화를 일치시킴으로써 혁신성과를 향상하도록 노력해야 한다.

ERGONOMIC ANALYSIS OF A TELEMANIPULATION TECHNIQUE FOR A PYROPROCESS DEMONSTRATION FACILITY

  • In this study, remote handling strategies for a large-scale argon cell facility were considered. The suggested strategies were evaluated by several types of field test. The teleoperation tasks were performed using a developed remote handling system, which enabled traveling over entire cell area using a bridge transport system. Each arm of the system had six DOFs (degrees of freedom), and the bridge transport system had four DOFs. However, despite the dexterous manipulators and redundant monitoring system, many operators, including professionals, experienced difficulties in operating the remote handling system. This was because of the lack of a strategy for handling the installed camera system, and the difficulty in recognizing the gripper pose, which might fall outside the FOV (field of vision) of the system during teleoperation. Hence, in this paper, several considerations for the remote handling tasks performed in the target facility were discussed, and the tasks were analyzed based on ergonomic factors such as the workload. Toward the development of a successful operation strategy, several ergonomic issues, such as active/passive view of the remote handling system, eye/hand alignment, and FOV were considered. Furthermore, using the method for classifying remote handling tasks, several unit tasks were defined and evaluated.

  • The purpose of this study is to introduce a synergetic configuration of stakeholders, especially government and university, into the corporate social responsibility strategy. The alignment of a company's CSR efforts with its business practices and values must be communicated strategically for effective and successful business outcomes. Therefore, the proposed process of CSR evaluation takes into account the three helices of the Triple-Helix perspective, university, industry, and government (UIG), and investigates how involvement in the Triple Helix actors influence corporations with CSR initiatives. Specifically, whether the public's awareness of a corporation's CSR activities is heightened by the concurrent support of the three helixes will be examined. We propose a methodology that enables corporations to determine effective levels of integration with government and educational institutions. The intensity of Triple-Helix indicators will be examined.

A Case Study of Hyundai Motors: Live Brilliant Campaign for Modern Premium Brand

  • As more companies become interested in global markets, it has become crucial for firms to create globalized brands whose positioning, advertising strategy, personality, looks, and feel are consistent across nations. The purpose of this study is to investigate the global branding strategy of the Hyundai Motor Company (hereafter HMC) in order to show how the company processes its branding strategy. HMC, one of the leading global companies in the automobile industry, set up its brand identity as "Modern premium", in alignment with their new slogan "New Thinking New Possibilities", in 2011. The aim of the "Modern premium" concept was to provide consumers with new experiences and values beyond their expectations. HMC wanted their consumers to think of their cars as not only a medium of transportation but as a life space, where they can share experiences alongside HMC. In an effort to conduct consumer research in 5 different nations, HMC selected "brilliant" as a key communication concept. The word "brilliant" expresses the functional, experiential, and emotional dimensions of HMC. HMC furthermore chose "live brilliant" as a key campaign message in order to reinforce their communication concept. After this decision, the "live brilliant" campaign was exhibited through major broadcast channels around the world. The campaign was the company's first worldwide brand campaign, where a single message was applied to all major markets, with the goal of building up a consistent image as a global brand. This global branding strategy is worth examining due to its significant contribution to growth generation in the global market. Overall, the 'live brilliant' global brand campaign not only improved HMC's reputation image-wise, with the 'Modern Premium' conceptualization of the brand as 'simple', 'creative' and 'caring', but also improved the consumer's familiarity, preference and purchase intention of HMC. In fact, the "live brilliant" campaign was a successful campaign which increased HMC's brand value. Notably, HMC's brand value increased continuously and reached 9 billion US dollars in 2013, leading it to reach 43rd place in the Global Brand Rankings according to the brand consulting group Interbrand. Its brand value largely surpassed that of Nissan (65th) and Chevrolet (89th) in 2013. While it is true that the global branding strategy of HMC involved higher risks, it was highly successful according to cross-nation consumer research. Therefore, this paper concludes that the global branding strategy of HMC made a positive impact on its performance. We further suggest HMC to combine its successful marketing with social media such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and embrace digital media by extending its brand communication horizon to the mobile internet

빅데이터 역량 평가를 위한 참조모델 및 수준진단시스템 개발 (An Assessment System for Evaluating Big Data Capability Based on a Reference Model)

  • As technology has developed and cost for data processing has reduced, big data market has grown bigger. Developed countries such as the United States have constantly invested in big data industry and achieved some remarkable results like improving advertisement effects and getting patents for customer service. Every company aims to achieve long-term survival and profit maximization, but it needs to establish a good strategy, considering current industrial conditions so that it can accomplish its goal in big data industry. However, since domestic big data industry is at its initial stage, local companies lack systematic method to establish competitive strategy. Therefore, this research aims to help local companies diagnose their big data capabilities through a reference model and big data capability assessment system. Big data reference model consists of five maturity levels such as Ad hoc, Repeatable, Defined, Managed and Optimizing and five key dimensions such as Organization, Resources, Infrastructure, People, and Analytics. Big data assessment system is planned based on the reference model's key factors. In the Organization area, there are 4 key diagnosis factors, big data leadership, big data strategy, analytical culture and data governance. In Resource area, there are 3 factors, data management, data integrity and data security/privacy. In Infrastructure area, there are 2 factors, big data platform and data management technology. In People area, there are 3 factors, training, big data skills and business-IT alignment. In Analytics area, there are 2 factors, data analysis and data visualization. These reference model and assessment system would be a useful guideline for local companies.

IT역량과 조직성과의 영향관계에서 IS 전략적 활용의 매개효과분석 (Mediating Effect of Strategic Use of Information Systems in the Relationship of IT Competency and Organizational Performance)

  • Today, the company is trying to improve for business performance through the optimization of corporate resources. Most companies set up new strategy for obtaining competitive advantage for survival in rapid changes of the global business environment. IT has an important role to reduce cost and to increases business performance such as increasing sales, improving business skills and corporate image, etc. in the corporate environment. The development and use of IT resource is recognized as essential in connection with the business strategy. Most companies tried to establish the strategic use of information systems to gain competitive advantage. IT resource management is not clear in a tangible result of the business. The purpose of this study is to find out the relationship between IT competency and organizational performance through the mediating effect of strategic use of IS. IT competency consists of IT human resource, IT infrastructure, and IT vendor management. In direct relationship between three IT competence factors and organizational performance, the results of multiple regression analysis showed that IT human resource and IT vendor management are important determinants to influence organizational performance. The additional analysis for mediating effect of strategic use of IS showed that it has mediated the relationship between IT competency factors and organizational performance. This results give us an implication, not only the importance of IT competency development, but also the importance of strategic alignment of strategic use of IS with business strategy.

Relationship between SOA Adoption and Performance of IT Organizations

  • SOA has been adopted by enormous number of organizations world-wide. This study has investigated significant factors which affect SOA adoption in positive and negative manner. Unlike the previous similar studies, where they focused on qualitative analysis for SOA adoption, this study conducted a quantitative analysis to investigate the relationship between the adoption of SOA and the performance of IT organizations. In order to conduct the research, an online questionnaire was created and distributed among SOA experts through the social networking platform of professionals, LinkedIn. Total one hundred and four (104) respondents from thirty (30) different countries participated in this study. The results of this study indicate that there are both positive and negative influences upon SOA adoption. The positive influences includes: governance, strategy, culture and communication, business and IT alignment and ROI; whereas complexity, security concerns, and costs have negatively affected SOA adoption.

자동 광섬유 정렬 장치의 설계 및 제작에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Design and Development of Automatic Optical Fiber Aligner)

  • Optical fiber is indispensable for optical communication systems that transmit large volumes of data at high speed, but super precision technology in sub-micron units is required for optical axis adjustment. We developed the automatic optical fiber by image processing and automatic loading system. we have developed 6-axis micro stage system for I/O optical fiber arrays, the initial automatic aligning system software for a input optical array by the image processing technique, fast I/O-synchronous aligning strategy, the automatic loading/unloading system and the automatic UV bonding mechanism. In order to adjust the alignment it used on PC based motion controller, a $10{\mu}m$ repeat-detailed drawing of automatic loading system is developed by a primary line up for high detailed drawing. Also, at this researches used the image processing system and algorithm instead of the existing a primary hand-line up and fiber input array and waveguide chip formed in line by automatic.
