Multi-layered stone masonry monuments, such as stone pagoda can be modeled as a multi-degrees of freedom system. The dynamic behavior of these structures are mainly influenced by contour condition of contacting surface of stones. In this case the mass of the system can be easily estimated, mean while the estimation of stiffness at junction is not simple. In this paper a method for estimating the spring constant at the contacting surface of stone in proposed. This paper describes a method of computational modelling technique for structural analysis of stone pagodas using measurement of natural frequency and eigenvalue analysis. For this purpose Five story stone pagoda in Cchongnimsa site was selected as a model.
The five-story and seven-story stone pagodas at Cheongnyangsaji temple site in Gongju are located under the Sambulbong peak of Gyeryongsan mountain, and are known to have been built of the middle in Goryeo dynasty. As the two pagodas in which two types of Baekje stone pagoda coexist in one era, their historical and academic value are recognized. The seven-story pagoda was overturned by robbery in 1944, and as a result, the five-story pagoda was tilted. Although the two pagodas were restored in 1961, structural instability was continuously raised. In this study, measurement data accumulated from May 2021 to March 2022, and seasonal characteristics were reviewed, and the micro behavior of pagodas were analyzed according to temperature and precipitation during the same period. As a result, the micro thermoelastic behavior was repeated according to the daily temperature change in all sensors, and both the slope and the displacement showed microscale behavior. In the inclinometer, moisture containing the surface and inside of the stones repeated expansion and contraction due to temperature change, showing the micro movements. In particular, the upper part of the five-story pagoda moved up to 3.89° to the northwest, and the seven-story pagoda tilted up to 0.078° to the northeast. The maximum displacements were recorded as 0.127 and 0.149 mm in the five-story and the seven-story pagoda, respectively. These values tended to return to the original position at the end of the measurement, but did not recover completely, indicating a state requiring precise monitoring. The result obtained through the study can be used as basic data for the stable conservation of the two stone pagodas. Based on the behavioral characteristics considering various environmental factors should be analyzed, and the preventive conservation through the maintenance of measurement system built this time should be continued.

Terrestrial photogrammetry is widely used for the observation of cultural assets due to its effects such as increased accuracy and cost saving. As the damage of cultural assets tends to increase with time, it is essential that the standard of value evaluation and the preservation methods be established. The terrestrial photogrammetry proves to be an excellent tool for this purpose. This study aims to classify the objects measured by terrestrial photogrammetry according to the historical period. The assets to be included are not only national treasures but also obscure cultural assets. This study also aims to discover the genuine value and originality of the asset by analysis of formative ratio. As the result of this study, it is proved that the stone pagodas bave been build by characteristic formative ratio, which varies according historical period. It is anticipated that the results of this study will be applied in deriving the historical periods of discovered stone pagodas as well as in preserving existing cultural assets.

Currently, most of content restoration using artificial intelligence learning is 2D learning. However, 3D form of artificial intelligence learning is in an incomplete state due to the disadvantage of requiring a lot of computation and learning speed from the existing 2 axes (X, Y) to 3 axes (X, Y, Z). The purpose of this paper is to secure a data-set for artificial intelligence learning by analyzing and 3D modeling the stone pagodas of ourinari by era based on the two-dimensional information (image) of cultural assets. In addition, we analyzed the differences and characteristics of towers in each era in Korea, and proposed a feature modeling method suitable for artificial intelligence learning. Restoration of cultural properties relies on a variety of materials, expert techniques and historical archives. By recording and managing the information necessary for the restoration of cultural properties through this study, it is expected that it will be used as an important documentary heritage for restoring and maintaining Korean traditional pagodas in the future.
In the middle of the 8th century, we met the new high-rise building, the 7th storied wooden pagodas in 'Kokubunji' in Japan. I tried to analyze and study this building to show how the wooden pagoda had changed itself because of appearance of new style. The conculusions are as follows; 1. The construction of the foundation was mainly composed namely 'Panchuk'. It was proceeded by two ways. One is the earthen-digging, laying foundations named 'Gulkwangpachuk' and the other is simply laying foundation named 'Jisangpanchuk'. In that period, due to the progress of the technique, we assumed that the main stream is 'Jisangpanchuk'. 2. The elevation of base was mostly the single foundation from archaeological study. The material was stone. The middle case of pagoda had the base of tile-roofed. We knew the just one pagoda had the base of brick, but that was not main stream. 3. The new device had appeared in the central base stone. It was the stone point. But in that period the existing method, a hole style and the new style was used in the central base stone. This fact is showed that the central government was not hold the reigon(it names 'Kook') in the respect of the technique. 4. The plan scale is classified of 3 group. As a result, the first body is larger, the main-unit and the sub-unit is a equal unit. But smaller, the length of main-unit is longer than the one of sub-unit. And the very small pagoda was build in that period.
Iksan Mireuksaji Stone pagoda was built A.D. 639 when King Moo was governing Baekje, in which Sarira has been enshrined in a hole dug in the stereobate for 1,370 years. In South Korea, about 150 cases of Sarira have been found so far. In this connection, many studies have been conducted on how to manage it and on its genesis, but there have been no data on environments to which it has been exposed. In this study, accordingly, researches were made into environments to which Sarira has been exposed as well as into how much it has been damaged under the environments. Sarira in wooden pagodas was influenced greatly by water, but that in stone pagodas by saturated relative humidity. Thus, Sarira in the containers was significantly influenced by the outside temperature for 1 to 2 days, but had no any reaction to humidity. The time it took for the humidity in a Sarira container to reach its maximum, varied depending upon the humidity of the day when Sarira was enshrined. In the case of this pagoda, the humidity reached its maximum 30 days later.

This paper used Non-Metric digital video camera against subject of study, stone cultural assets such as stone pagodas, and examine an error of photographing preliminarily without re-photographing. After that, precise surveying for cultural assets can obtain enough precision of accuracy. Finally, it can be said that study also suggests the efficient and economical measurement when planning to restore prototype of cultural assets in the future and providing specific information on them
Granite is commonly used in the construction of the ancient stone pagodas of Korea. The material has excellent weathering resistance and durability, as well as high compressive strength. Most of the stone-made state-designated architectural heritage of Korea is made of granite. Therefore, the understanding of the structural feasibility of stone-made architectural heritage is crucial. Even though, until now, experimental studies for the reinforced stone have been rarely performed. This study intends to suggest a new methodology for the reinforcement of granite using a threaded titanium bar. Through the experimental study, the flexural behavior of the reinforced granite depending on the reinforcement ratio is investigated. Based on the test results, a moment-displacement relationship for the design of reinforced granite is suggested.
According to historical records, Woon-Ju-Sa temple in Hwa-Soon, Chollanamdo, have had one thousand stone buddhas and one thousand stone pagodas, located south-west hill side of Woon-Ju-Sa is the Seven-Star-Stone(SSS). It consist of seven circular rocks with varying sizes that form a pattern similar to the constellation Ursa Major. SSS(Seven Star Stone) is an important astronomical remain because it might be one of the oldest records showing stellar brightness in Korea. We have compared the sizes of 888s with the magnitudes of stars of Ursa Major. It is found that the sizes of SSSs do roughly represent the magnitudes of Ursa Major stars in a way consistent with the magnitude scale used in Chun-Sang-Yul-Cha-Bun-Ya-Ji-Do(天象列次分野之圖) of Chosun.
