Purpose: The aim of this study is to compare the effects of bone marrow stromal cells(BSCs) and fibroblasts on wound healing activity in vivo, especially on epithelization. Methods: The fibroblasts and BSCs were harvested from patients and cultured. Ten Spague-Dawley white rats were used. A 5 mm punches were made to excise skin and subcutaneous tissue in a round fashion at six sites on the back area of each rat. Four hundred thousand cells suspended in 0.05 ml fibrinogen were applied to the created wounds. The cells in group I, II, and III were no cells, fibroblasts and BSCs. The lengths of epithelial gap at the widest wound site were compared with autopsy specimens obtained on the 6th day after cell therapy under light microscope. Statistical comparisons were performed using the Mann-Whitney U-test, and the p value < 0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: The best epithelization was also seen in the BSC group, followed by fibroblast and no cell groups. Conclusion: These results demonstrate that BSC has superior effect on stimulating wound healing than fibroblast, which is currently used for wound healing.
This experiment was carried out in order to study the effect of nitrogen fertilization on the growth of Colonial bentgrass and thatch accumulation under no removing clipping residues. Nitrogen fertilization was applied as 4 levels, 10, 20, 25 and 20gN/m$^2$, respectively. The results were as follows : 1.Response of plant length and dry weight of thatch to N fertilization were significant differences between N levels. It suggested that N fertilization with no clipping residues greatly affected to the growth and thatch accumulation of colonial bentgrass.2.Plant length, the dry weight of clipping residues and coverage were obtained the highest values at 20g N. It was assumed that 20gN/m$^2$ is the limiting N level to obtain the favorable growth of Colonial bentgrass. 3.The dry weight of thatch and lignin content were increased with high nitrogen fertilization level. 4.The dry weight of thatch indicated positive significant correlation with lignin content. 5. The dry weight of thatch per N(THg/N) at 20g~25g/m$^2$ levels were obtained the lowest values than of other levels of N. It may be due to the stimulating of microbial activity by adequate to N fertilizers which increased mineralization of thatch.
Purpose: This study is to examine anti-obesity effect and cytotoxicity of the long-term oral administration of Ephedra Sinica(Ma-hwang, ES) Methods: Using diet-induced obesity C57BL/6 mouse model, anti-obesity effect and DNA chip expression and cytotoxicity of the long-term oral administration of this herbal extract were investigated. Results: The herbal extract treated groups were arrested in weight increment only when they were lodged together. Such effects were abolished when they kept individually. ES fed mice behaved very rudely and violently. On the basis of histological studies of liver tissues and also in vitro cytotoxicity tests of the liver and kidney cell lines, no significant toxicity was found by 14 weeks of ES treatments. However, we found significant changes in gene expression profile in ES treated group by micro-array analysis. In case of ES group, up-regulated genes were 113 and down-regulated were 120. Some of lipid metabolism related genes also significantly changed in treatment groups. Conclusion: ES had effects of increasing the basal metabolic rate by stimulating the sympathetic nervous systems.

The financial sector is one of the most important building blocks of the economy. When this sector efficiently implemented a well-crafted program on banking and financial system to translate financial activities to income-generating activity, economic growth will be realized. Hence, this study analyzed the effect of financial intermediation on economic growth and the existence of cointegrating relationship using time-series data from 1986 to 2015. The influence of financial intermediation in terms of bank credit to bank deposit ratio, private credit, and stock market capitalization and time trend to economic growth was estimated using ordinary least squares (OLS) multiple regression. The results showed that all the financial intermediation indicators and time trend exert significant effect on Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per capita. The positive sign of the time trend indicates that there is an upward trend in GDP per capita averaging approximately 0.06 percent annually. Furthermore, the cointegration test using the Johansen procedure revealed that there is a presence of long-term equilibrium relationship between financial intermediation and time trend and economic growth, and rules out spurious regression results. This study established the idea that financial intermediation in the Philippines has a significant and vital role in stimulating growth in the economy.

Cefodizime has originally been developed for treating infections as antibiotics. However. according to some of recent studies. cefodizime. a third generation cephalosporin. may potentially have the capability of stimulating chemotactic activity of neutrophils and monocytes as well as the strong immuno-modulator. In this study. we studied to learn about the expressive effect of dentritic cells and macrophage. With this background. We have studied to see if cefodizime can be a potential substance inducing an immunological function in dendritic cells and peritoneal macrophages. IL-12 activates NK cell and macrophage, and shows antiviral effect by excreting INF-${\gamma}$. In vitro. total RNAs were extracted from murine dentritic cell at 4, 8, 12, 24hr after the application of 10, 50, 100${\gamma}g$/ml of cefodizime wighout other stimulators. And we analyzed IL-12 mRNA using RT-PCR method. In conclusion. IL-12 mRNA was increased. and the results suggest that cefodizime activate TH1 cell induction, CTL differentiation as well as accelerating the increase of NK. LAK cell.

The oil and gas industry is widely known as a vital engine of Vietnam development, stimulating researchers to examine the association of various factors with this industry. The aim of this study is to identify the relationship between different variables affecting profitability of the firms in the oil and gas sector in Vietnam. The total of 203 samples were collected from 29 companies listed on Vietnam Stock Market during a 6-year period from 2012 to 2018. Informed by prior research, this investigation employs financial leverage (FL), government ownership (GOV), dividend payout (DIV), fixed assets to total assets (FA) and exchange rate (EXR) as independent variables, while the profit is described by return-on-assets (ROA). The study results show that there are four factors that have an impact on ROA, namely, leverage, government ownership, dividend, and exchange rate. Whereas leverage and exchange rate have negative influence on ROA, government ownership and dividend payment have a positive effect. The findings of this study suggest that high debt ratio in capital structure and the negative effect of exchange rate on their companies' efficiency can adversely affect the profit of enterprises. Also, plausible extent of government ownership and dividend payment could also be considered to optimize corporate performance.
The effect of cadmium ions on ligninolytic and decolourizing activities in cultures of two white-rot fungi, Cerrena unicolor and Trametes versicolor, were examined. Cadmium was added to the shallow stationary cultures growing on a liquid mineral medium. Both examined strains sorbed Cd ions in the first 24 hr of incubation. An appreciable stimulation of the activity of extracellular laccase (LAC) and inhibition of the extracellular manganese-dependent peroxidase (MnP) were simultaneously observed when 25 mgL-1 and 50 mgL-1 of cadmium ions were added to the cultures. On the other hand, the addition of cadmium ions also resulted in stimulating the decolorization activity of C. unicolor to decolorize Remazol Brilliant Blue R (RBBR) in the cultures, but decreasing it in the culture of T. versicolor, which is compared to the inhibition of MnP activity in this fungus. Our data indicate that the presence of Cd(II) ions can affect the ligninolytic activity of white-rot fungi. It was found that C. unicolor is a strain resistant to the presence of Cd ions in the liquid culture media, and has a potential to use this strain for bioremediation of sites contaminated with both heavy metals and aromatic pollutants.
In engineering education, stimulating students' questions and encouraging learning participation are crucial for achieving higher-order thinking abilities. This study aims to investigate the use and effect of an online communication channel in fostering engineering students' questioning abilities. Consequently, in this research, we gauged students' satisfaction with an engineering class that implemented a communication channel, and scrutinized the changes in their perceptions regarding the significance of questions, their engagement in learning, and their academic self-efficacy. In addition, we interviewed the students who participated in the class. The outcomes are as follows: Firstly, student satisfaction improved compared to the previous semester's class where the communication channel was not utilized. Secondly, learners' understanding of the importance of asking questions positively escalated, alongside their actual frequency of posing questions. Thirdly, there was an improvement in learners' active engagement in their studies and their academic self-confidence. The findings of this research suggest that communication channels should be employed to motivate learners to pose questions and involve students in effective learning.
Dendropanax morbiferus H. Lev has been reported to have some pharmacologic activities and also interested in functional cosmetics. We found that the water extract of D. morbiferus leaves significantly inhibited tyrosinase activity and melanin formation in α-melanocyte stimulating hormone (MSH)-induced B16-F10 cells. D. morbiferus reduced melanogenesis-related protein levels, such as microphthalmia? associated transcription factor (MITF), TRP-1, and TRP-2, without any cytotoxicity. Two active ingredients of D. morbiferus, (10E)-9,16-dihydroxyoctadeca-10,17-dien-12,14-diynoate (DMW-1) and (10E)-(?)-10,17-octadecadiene-12,14-diyne-1,9,16-triol (DMW-2) were identified by testing the anti-melanogenic effects and then by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC/MS/MS) analysis. DMW-1 and DMW-2 significantly inhibited melanogenesis by the suppression of protein kinase A (PKA)/cyclic AMP (cAMP)-responsive binding protein (CREB) and p38 MAPK phosphorylation. DMW-1 showed a better inhibitory effect than DMW-2 in α-MSH-induced B16-F10 cells. D. morbiferus and its active component DMW-1 inhibited melanogenesis through the downregulation of cAMP, p-PKA/CREB, p-p38, MITF, TRP-1, TRP-2, and tyrosinase. These results indicate that D. morbiferus and DMW-1 may be useful ingredients for cosmetics and therapeutic agents for skin hyperpigmentation disorders.
