This paper predicted the shear behavior of reinforced concrete columns using Transformation Angle Truss Model (TATM) considered the effects of bending moment and axial force. Nine columns with various shear span- to-depth ratios and axial force ratios were tested to verify the theoretical results obtained from TATM. Fine linear displacement transducers (LVDT) were attached to a side of the column near the shear critical region to measure the curvature, the longitudinal and transverse axial deformations, and the shear deformation of the column. The test was terminated when the value of the applied load dropped to about $85\%$ of the maximum-recorded load in the post-peak descending branch. All the columns were failed in shear before yielding of the flexural steel. The shear strength and the stiffness of the columns increased, as the axial force increased and the shear span-to-depth ratio decreased. Shear stress-shear strain and shear stress-strain of shear reinforcement curves obtained from TATM were agreed well with the test results in comparison to other truss models (MCFT, RA-STM, and FA-STM).
Flexural strength of concrete ground slab reinforced with steel fiber is evaluated using the equivalent flexural strength ratio of steel fiber reinforced concrete based on the yield line theory. Recently, the European standard specifies that the tensile performance of the steel fiber reinforced concrete be evaluated directly from the residual flexural strength after the cracking of concrete. Thus, in the study, an experiment was carried out to evaluate the conventional equivalent flexural strength ratio and the residual flexural strength of the steel fiber reinforced concrete. Then the design flexural strength was investigated according to the location of a point load, based on the ratio of the radius of contact area of the load to the radius of relative stiffness. Design flexural capacity obtained from ACI 360R-10 was smaller than that from TR 34 (2003 & 2013). In addition, TR 34 (2013), which evaluates the design flexural capacity based on the residual flexural strength, showed slightly smaller value than TR 34 (2003).
The natural dyeing of fabrics with persimmon juice(astringent persimmon, sweet persimmon, astringent and sweet persimmon mix) was investigated. After dyeing of cotton and silk fabrics with persimmon juice, we evaluated the dyeability of persimmon juice, the observation of fabric surface with high magnification video microscope, physical properties and color fastness with the conditions of repeating times of dyeing and variables of mordants. The results obtained from this study were as follows: The fabrics dyed with astringent persimmon have shown the highest color difference, while the fabrics dyed with sweet persimmon and the fabrics dyed with astringent and sweet persimmon mix have shown similar color differences. With the increase of repeating times of dyeing, the brightness of fabric decreased. However, $a^*$ value increased gradually, so that it became dark brown color. The $a^*$ and $b^*$ values of dyed fabrics with Fe-mordant have dropped significantly, so that they have shown achromatic colors. But the fabrics treated with other mordants have shown yellowish brown colors. On the surface of the fabrics, threads were bonded together by the viscosity of persimmon juice. Regardless of the types of persimmon juice, stiffness was increased after dying, while crease resistance was decreased. The water repellency of silk fabrics were improved than cotton fabrics after dyeing with sweet persimmon juice, but in case of cotton, it hasn't changed. Washing fastness was improved with the EM(Effective Microorganism)-fermented liquid treatment, and rubbing fastness of two fabrics was better in dry condition than in wet condition.

Recent development of core techniques the IT electronics industry can condense into lightweight and slimmer. In this circumstance, researches for the lightweight materials and subminiature screw have been attracted. In this study, the CFRP was produced by stacking angle to obtain the tensile properties. And Comparing the coated screws and non-coated screws on the specimen, and evaluating the adequacy for the application of CFRP using the result. So The clamping force measured by comparison evaluation. Low screw reverse and Superior torque value at each stacking angle were found the optimum conditions, when Subminiature Screw is applied on smart devices. Both tensile strength and stiffness of $[{\pm}0^{\circ}]_{10}$ is the highest. Followed by $[90^{\circ}/0^{\circ}]_{10}$ is the highest. The largest clamping torque is $[90^{\circ}/0^{\circ}]_{10}$ When Subminiature Screw is applied coating and non-coating to prevent loosening. Based on the above, Subminiature Screw should be applied in smart devices, because $[90^{\circ}/0^{\circ}]_{10}$ meet both tensile properties and clamping force.
Purpose: This study was conducted in order to examine how an effective rehabilitation exercise program influences the activity of shoulder muscles, and to help the clinical application of a rehabilitation program, for prevention and relief of pain, adhesion, and joint stiffness of patients who undergo rotator cuff repair. Methods: Nine test subjects were placed randomly into each group for a total of 27 subjects and exercise program interventions according to the group were conducted for six weeks, after which maximum voluntary isometric contraction (%MVIC) value was re-measured for supraspinatus muscle, infraspinatus muscle, serratus anterior muscle, and middle deltoid muscle in all groups in order to compare changes in muscle activity before and after the experiment in order to perform comparative analysis of changes in muscle activity between groups, based on which four experimental hypotheses were confirmed. Results: Changes in muscle activity according to %MVIC showed a statistically significant difference (p<0.01) (p<0.001) in all muscles, except the middle deltoid muscle, and post-verification results showed that changes in muscle activity according to %MVIC were greater in test groups I and II, compared with the control group, for the supraspinatus muscle, infraspinatus muscle, and serratus anterior muscle. Conclusion: Therefore, rehabilitation through use of the methods described above should be applied efficiently in clinical settings and more research in development of much more efficient rehabilitation program interventions must be conducted.
This paper is concerned with a combination of experimental and analytical investigation aimed at identifying modeling errors, accounted for the lack of correlation between experimental measurements and analytical predictions of the modal parameters for lap joint panels. A nonlinearity vibration test methodology, initiated from the theoretical analysis, is suggested for measurements of dynamic stiffnesses in a lap joint using the rivet fastener. Based on the experimental evidence on discrepancies between measured and predicted frequencies, improved finite element models of the joint are developed using PATRAN and ABAQUS, in which the beam element size is evaluated from the joint stiffnesses readily determined in the test. The beam element diameter as a principal design parameter is tuned to match experimental results within the evaluated bound value. Frequencies predicted by the proposed numerical model are compared with frequencies measured by the test. Improved predictions based on this new model are observed when compared with those based on conventional modeling practices.
The polysaccharide produced by pseudomonas elodea, Gellan gum, was rheologically characterized, compared with agar. Rheological properties were determined from the change in the value of intrinsic viscosity with the pH and salt concentration. At the range of pH 2∼ll and salt 0∼0.16M KC1, the intrinsic viscosity of Gellan gum ranged from 8.8 to 21.2dl/g and agar ranged from 1.97 to 11.46d1/g. In the absence of salt, the intrinsic viscosity of Gellan gum increased as the pH of solution increased up to neutral pH then decreased slightly at alkaline pH, whearas the intrinsic viscosity of agar increased as the pH of solution increased up to pH 9 then decreased slightly. Intrinsic viscosity of Gellan gum and agar decreased with an increase in salt concentration. The chain stiffness parameter for the Gellan gum was 0.033. The overlap parameter of Gellan gum and agar were 0.047g/dl and 0.087g/dl, respectively. Gellan gum and agar were shear rate dependent or pseudoplastic. The yield stress and proportionality constant of Gellan gum increased slightly as the concentration increase, on the other hand, the shear index of Gellan gum showed a maximum at 0.75g/dl and gradually decreased as the concentration increase. The apparent viscosity of Gellan gum and agar decreased as the temperature increase. A lower concentration of the divalent cations calcium and magnesium is required to obtain maximum gel strength than for the monovalent cations sodium and potassium.
The cold-formed steel storage racks are extensively employed in various industries applications such as storing products in reliable places and storehouses before distribution to the market. Racking systems lose their stability under lateral loads, such as seismic actions due to the slenderness of elements and low ductility. This justifies a need for more investigation on methods to improve their behavior and increase their capacity to survive medium to severe loads. A standardized connection could be obtained through investigation on the moment resistance, value of original rotational stiffness, ductility, and failure mode of the connection. A total of six monotonic tests were carried out to determine the behavior of the connection of straight 2.0 mm, and 2.6 mm thickness connects to 5 lug end connectors. Then, the obtained results are benched mark as the original data. Furthermore, an extreme learning machine (ELM) technique has been employed to verify and predict both moment and rotation results. Out of 4 connections, increase the ultimate moment resistance of connection by 13% and 18% for 2.0 mm and 2.6 mm upright connection, respectively.

Aim: To evaluate the differential diagnostic potential of lesion stiffness assessed by the sonoelastographic strain index ratio (SR) and elastographic color scoring system (UE) for breast lesions. Materials and Methods: Three hundred and forty two breast masses (158 benign and 184 malignant) from 325 consecutive patients (mean age 44.2 years; range 16-81)who had been scheduled for a sonographically guided core biopsy were examined proposed by Itoh et al, with scoring 1-3=benign and 4-5=malignant. Strain and area ratios of each lesion were calculated within the same machine. Histological diagnosis was used as the reference standard. The area under the curve (AUC) and cut-off point were obtained by receiver operating curve and the cross table Fischer Test was carried out for assessing diagnostic value. Sensitivity, specificity, PPV, NPV, accuracy and false-discovery rates were compared. Results: The mean strain ratios for benign and malignant lesions were 1.87 and 7.9 respectively. (P<0.0001). When a cutoff point of 3.54 was used, SR had a sensitivity of 94.6%, a specificity 94.3%, a PPV of 95.1%, an NPV of 93.7% and an accuracy of 94.4%. The AUC values were 0.90 for the 5 point scoring system (UE) and 0.96 for the strain index ratio. The overall diagnostic performance was SR method was better (P<0.05). Conclusions: Strain ratio measurement could be another effective predictor in elastography imaging besides 5 the point scoring system for differential diagnosis of breast lesions.
This paper proposed an analyzable parameter and its analytic method to provide more accurate information than currently employed 4 channels system which uses pulse wave velocity (PWV) information of the volume pulse wave measured from 4 arterial channels for the characterization of arterial vessel. In order to verify the volume pulse waves on 4 sites were simultaneously acquired subjects aged from 12 to 81 years old. and the proposed parameters were extracted from time (UT) was then compared with blood pressure. Then, the regression analyses were done relationships among the proposed parameter and others, such as aging, pulse transit time pressure (BP). The followings are the results of linear regression analysis of the proposed parameter for total 50 normal subjects. We selected any two subjects (58 years and 27 years) and measured PPG (photoplethysmogram) and BP of before and after exercise. The coefficient of correlations between BP and UT observed was -0.928 for 50 years subject, and -0.922 for 20 years subject. For total 50 normal subjects, in case of correlation between the pulse transit time and BP, the result showed -0.170 on left side and -0.233 on right side, and the coefficient value of correlation between the pulse transit time and UT was -0.607 on left side and -0.510 on right side. UI is strongly correlated with the pulse transit time than BP. Hence, we believe that the proposed parameter is related with the index of arterial stiffness.
