PLL Equivalent Augmented System Incorporated with State Feedback Designed by LQR

  • The PLL equivalent augmented system incorporated with state feedback is proposed in this paper. The optimal value of filter time constant of loop filter in the phase-locked loop control system and the optimal state feedback gain designed by using linear quadratic regulator approach are derived. This approach allows the PLL control system to employ the large value of the phase-frequency gain $K_d$ and voltage control oscillator gain $K_o$. In designing, the structure of phase-locked loop control system will be rearranged to be a phase-locked loop equivalent augmented system by including the structure of loop filter into the process and by considering the voltage control oscillator as an additional integrator. The designed controller consisting of state feedback gain matrix K and integral gain $k_1$ is an optimal controller. The integral gain $k_1$ related to weighting matrices q and R will be an optimal value for assigning the filter time constant of loop filter. The experimental results in controlling the second-order lag pressure process using two types of loop filters show that the system response is fast without steady-state error, the output disturbance effect rejection is fast and the tracking to step changes is good.

  • A new 3-phase line-interactive UPS(Uninterruptible Power Supply) system with parallel-series active power-line conditioning capability using AC line reactor and two four-leg PWM VSCs(Voltage Source Converters) was introduced recently, In this paper, the strategy of voltage control in suggested UPS system is explained. The objective of proposed voltage controllers in parallel(shunt) and series PWM VSC is to guarantee satisfactory characteristics in steady state and transient state.

  • Adaptive signal processing is used to acoustic echo canceller. adaptive noise canceller and adaptive algorithm among adaptive algorithms is mainly used because the structure is simple and computa LMS algorithm has trade-off between the converge speed and the steady state error. In this paper, step-size of adaptive algorithm is varied with orthogonality Principles of optimal filter to get fasts though small steady state error. Time varying step-size is determined proportional to the maximum vector of LMS algorithm. As results of simulations, the adaptive algorithm with proposed time-v compared with conventional ones.

  • 본 논문에서는 3GPP HSDPA 모뎀용 비동기식 동기추적회로를 설계하고, 설계된 동기추적회로에 대하여 정상상태 지터 분산과 타이밍 에러의 과도응답 특성을 이론적으로 분석하였다. 우선 AWGN 환경에서의 지터 분산을 펄스성형 필터, 타이밍 오프셋, 신호 대 잡음비, 루프 대역폭에 대한 식으로 유도하였으며, 과도응답 특성 또한 이론적으로 해석하였다. 끝으로 설계된 동기추적회로의 성능을 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통하여 확인하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 곱셈연산이 필요치 안은 변형 비적 적응필터(MMADF : Modified Multiplication-free adaptive Filter) 알고리즘을 제안하고 수렴특성을 해석하였다. 제안한 구조는 DPCM(Differential Pulse Code Modulation)과 Sign 알고리듬을 이용한 MADF 구조에서 1차 필터를 첨가한 구조이다. 해석방법은 계수 비정렬벡터와 그 자기상관행렬의 수렴을 유도하였다. 수렴특성을 평가하기 위하여 분할등기(FSE : Fractionally Spaced Equallizer)에 적용하였으며, Sign 알고리듬, MADF 알고리듬, MMADF 알고리듬을 사용하여 정상상태오차와 수렴속도로 특성을 비교평가 하였다. MMADF 알고리듬을 FSE에 적용한 결과 안정된 수렴특성을 나타내었으며, 동일한 정상상태오차를 갖는 조건에서 시뮬레이션한 결과 기존의 Sign 및 MADF 알고리듬에 비해 신호특성 및 수렴속도가 개선 되었다.

  • By showing the existence of the ARE solution and the convergence property of the DRE solution, this paper proves that a Kalman filter for the linear system with the unobservable bias is stable. It is also shown that the Kalman filter has a biased steady state estimation error whose covariance is affected mainly by the unobservable bias. Finally, the results are illustrated through a 2nd order system example including the inertial navigation system.

  • This paper deals with a modified Kalman filter. An approaching horizon with a suitable initial condition will be considered, which is a little different from the classical Kalman filter. It will be shown in this paper that the new filter with approaching horizons is not only easy to computer but also possesses asymptotic stability properties. Thus this new estimatoris an excellent compromise between the ease of computation and the strict sense of optimality. When this estimator is used for the standard problem, the error covariance bound has been obtained. It is shown that the new estimator can be used as a suboptimal estimator which has a stability property. It is also demonstrated that the steady state Kalman filter can be obtained from the moving horizon estimator by taking the horizon parameter as infinity.

  • Using Observer, on the sensorless vector control system is a novel techniques for modern induction motor control. In this paper, a speed estimation algorithm of an induction motor using an extended kalman filter was proposed. Extended kalman filter can solve the problem, that have steady state error of estimated speed in flux and slip estimation method. The extended Kalman filter is employed to identify the speed of an induction motor and rotor flux based on the measured quantities such as stator current and DC link voltage. In order to confirming above proposal, computer simulation carried out using Matlab Simulink and show the effectiveness of the control drives for induction motor speed estimation.

  • LQG/LTR Control Methology is recently used for the analysis of multi-variable control in frequency domain. Target filter loop is designed by the demanding requirements such as cross-over frequency, disturbance rejection in low frequency domain, zero steady-state error, identification of maximum and minimum singular values and sensor noise rejection in high frequency domain. Loop transfer recovery is accomplished by solving the cheap control and then simulation close to the target filter loop. In this study, LQG/LTR Control Methodology is applied to the seat suspension system. It is found that this technique is very effective to control the system and improve the ride quality of human body.

  • A phase-locked loop control system designed by using the linear quadratic regulator approach is presented in this paper. The system thus designed is optimal system when system is in locked state and the parameter value of loop filter which is an active PI filter can be obtained easily. By considering the structure of loop filter of phase-locked loop is included in the process to be controlled, a type 1 servo system can be constructed when voltage control oscillator is considered as an integrator. The integral gain of the proposed system obtained by linear quadratic regulator approach can be used as an optimal value to design the parameter of loop filter. The implemented result in controlling the second-order lag pressure process by using the proposed scheme show that the system response is fast with no overshoot and no steady-state error. Furthermore, the experimental results are also shown in term of output disturbance effect rejection, tracking and process parameter changed.
