This study is designed to examine the current status of the performance warranty systems for asphalt pavements implemented in Europe, USA, and Japan, and to review the feasibility and possibility of introducing this system into the Korean environment. For such objectives, the concept and necessity of performance warranty and the status of Korean contracting systems and overseas performance warranty systems were evaluated. In particular, the bidding systems, performance guarantee systems, and maintenance work inclusion status in the projects and warranty specifications of Europe, USA and Japan were comparatively evaluated. And methods of introducing the performance warranty system by utilizing defects liability system and design-build contracts of Korea were suggested.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to provide the basic techniques in utilizing the systematic home-rehabilitation service with a Minimum Data Set for Home Care (MDS-HC) 2.0 navigator system. Methods: The present study was conducted with 50 persons receiving home-care services from a Welfare Center. Respondents were selected from urban and rural areas in and around the Wonju area. Results: The results showed that MDS-HC2.0 was useful to evaluate the functional status of disabled persons in the fields of health and home-care services. Furthermore, this navigator system provided basic information about the functional health problems of respondents and therefore can provide guidance for health and home care services for disabled persons. Conclusions: Through the present study, a comprehensive model for health and home-rehabilitation was developed. The author believes that respondents will have the satisfaction of high quality service if the developed model is used as the standard in planning and providing home-rehabilitation services.

This paper aims to propose a policy for linking and utilizing spatial data for resilient spatial planning against disaster due to climate change by analyzing the current status of spatial data in the fields of urban planning, environmental planning and disaster prevention. To do so, spatial planning guidelines and the current status of utilizing spatial data in each field were identified by conducting a literature review and phone/face-to-face interviews with professionals and representatives of relevant institutions. As a result, the lists of spatial data were drawn up which can be utilized or linked with each other for developing an official spatial plan at a local government level. On the basis of these results, policy plans were proposed to link and utilize spatial data among urban planning, environmental planning and disaster prevention fields for climate change adaptation spatial planning.

This study aims to evaluate the status of Korean healthcare among Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development countries and to monitor the trend of health care status since 2000. The position value for relative comparison (PARC) index was selected to gauge the level of healthcare status in demand, supply, accessibility, quality, and cost as per healthcare policy aspects. The Mann-Kendall test was conducted to allocate healthcare status of Korea since 2000. The PARC values indicate strength and weakness of Korean healthcare system by the mathematical comparisons. Korea positioned higher in demand, supply, accessibility, and quality. Yet, there are shortages in human resources and primary care. In conclusion, we suggest utilizing this study provides evidence to prioritize health care problems that can lead to establishing healthcare policy.

Purpose: This study identified sociodemographic characteristics, health status, health care utilization and related factors of Asian immigrant women in Korea. Methods: Data were collected from 465 immigrant women from China, Vietnam, the Philippines, and other Asian countries using standardized questionnaires. Descriptive statistics and $X^2$-test were performed utilizing SPSS version 17. A p-value <.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: Subjects had relatively good subjective health. The most prevalent conditions were, in order, anemia, gastrointestinal diseases, gynecological diseases, and depression. Subjects utilized mostly hospitals or clinics when sick. There were significant relationships between health care utilization and factors including residence, time since immigration and economic status. The rate of non-treatment in hospitals or clinics was 30.1% during the previous year, with significant relationships between non-treatment and factors including time since immigration and economic status. The major reasons for non-treatment were the burden of hospital expenses followed by communication difficulty. Conclusion: Public health efforts should be targeted to Asian immigrant women to improve their health status and support health care utilization.

This research intended to analyse the perception level of seafarers in order to propose enhancement of health management for seafarers and improvement of marine telemedicine assistance system. To this end, questionnaire survey was conducted for 422 seafarers in relation to current status of utilizing Emergency Medical Advice by radio(EMAR). By trading area, experience of benefiting EMAR by coastal seafarers was higher than that of ocean-going seafarers. By kinds of ships the rate of utilizing EMAR by fisherman was higher than that of seafarers of merchant ships. The level of satisfaction on the EMAR was 14.9% and regarded to be very low while the answering rate of necessity and urgency toward introducing marine telemedicine assistance system for the future through utilizing telemedicine equipment what is called U-helath including motion pictures information was very high. The answering rate of willingness to provide their personal health information positively when introducing marine telemedicine system was very high(97.4%). It is thus necessary to permit marine telemedicine service system, establish service model of marine telemedicine through conducting demonstration projects, promote marine telemedicine actively at the level of government, etc.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the current status relating to food packaging and design for status of small and medium food enterprises. A company survey was conducted from June to October, 2015 and targeted 1300 small and medium domestic food enterprises. Finally, a total of 1300 (recovery rate 100%) useable data were selected. Statistical analyses were performed on the data utilizing the SPSS PASW Statistics 18.0 for Windows, such as descriptive statistics and frequency analysis. According to the results, awareness and importance of food labeling were high, but performance of English inscription of product name was relatively low. The most important reason for food labeling was 'providing correct information on food' 910 (72.8%). Accordingly, a system which can provide the latest information by continuously monitoring mandatory disclosure requirements for types of foods in individual countries is needed.

The purpose of this study was to examine the knowledge about savings of customers who utilize Investment Trust Company and to analyze the factors affecting it. The data for the analysis were collected by structured questionnaires and consisted of 191 customers who utilize Investment Trust Company. Descriptive. Descriptive Statistics including percentage, frequency, means, and standard derivation, t-test, one-way ANOVA with Scheffe test, multiple regression analysis were used to analyze the data. The following is a summary of major findings. 1) The customers knowledge about savings showed generally low-level. Especially the knowledge about tax and regulation of savings were the areas shown the lowest level. 2) The age, marital status, education and occupation of customers and total period of utilizing company were the factors affecting the knowledge of customers in the one-way ANOVA analysis. 3) The result of regression analysis indicated that age of customers and total periods of utilizing company were the significant predictors of customers’knowledge. These two variables explained 25.77% of variance of customers’knowledge about savings.

This study proposes an automated pegboard utilizing the RFID system with multiple reader antennas for the rehabilitation services and the occupational therapy. The system automates the scoring by detecting the plugging correctness as well as the plugging status. It also aims to increase the patient's interest and the functional intelligence. The system was prototyped and tested for the automatic capability of the scoring the session time and success rate. The proposed system will be served as the typical example for the ubiquitous rehabilitation devices.
