가변샘플링기법을 이용한 합성관리도의 개발 (Development of VSI Synthetic Control Chart)

  • This paper develops a new VSI $\={X}-CRL$ synthetic control chart that considers convenience of use in the field, and perception of change of process applying VSI techniques to synthetic control chart, simultaneously. We found the optimal sampling interval and various control limit factor of the suggested chart using markov chain. Comparison and analysis is carried out between synthetic VSI $\={X}-CRL$ chart and other chart in the statistical aspect; $\={X}$ control chart, VSI $\={X}$ chart, another synthetic chart. In case that the process follows normal distribution, the proposed VSI $\={X}-CRL$ synthetic control chart in detecting process mean shift showed the best performance in aspect of statistical performance, regardless of control limit L of CRL/S control chart.

  • 이 글은 제조공정에서의 통계적 품질관리에 관한 내용을 다룬 것이다. 먼저 제품품질의 산포를 주는 요인들을 고찰하여 보았다. 다음으로 제조공정에서의 전형적인 통계적 품질관리 활동체계를 흐름도로 작성하여 각 단계별로 그 내용을 고찰하였다. 이 활동체계의 흐름에 따라서 이루어졌던 국내기업의 사례를 하나 들고, 마지막으로 통계적 품질관리를 제조공업에서 활성화시키는 장안을 제시하였다.

  • A diagnosis methodology for thickness quality in hot finishing mill is proposed based on multivariate statistical analysis. The thickness of hot strip is a key quality factor that is measured by x-ray thickness gauge. Currently, the thickness quality is guaranteed by upper and lower limit of thickness deviation from target thickness. But if any over-limit is occurred, there is no in-line method to identify the causes. 통계적 품질관리도를 활용한 차별적 경찰대응전략의 평가 (Evaluating the Quality of the Differential Police Response Strategy: Applications of Statistical Quality Control Charts)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 차별적 경찰대응전략의 품질을 평가하는 것이다. 새로운 경찰대응시스템이 도입된 지 약 3년이 지났지만, 이를 실증적으로 평가한 연구는 미비한 실정이다. 2가지 종류의 통계적 품질관리 기법을 활용하여, 2012년 한해동안 익산경찰서에 신고된 약 3,000건의 경찰데이터를 분석하였다. "Xbar-R 관리도"의 분석결과, 경찰은 긴급출동신고전화 (Code 1)에 지속적으로 신속히(3분 이내) 대응하지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 더불어 "P 관리도"의 분석결과, 경찰은 비긴급출동신고전화 (Code 2)에 5분이내로 대응하지 못한 출동건수의 월별 상이성이 큰 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서 알 수 있듯이 경찰이 추구하는 "신속한" 수준의 대응전략에 있어 코드별 목표대응시간에 대하여 재검토 할 필요성이 제기된다.

Statistical Diagnosis(SPD) for Control of SARS Epidemic Situation of Beijing

  • Under the strong leadership of Chinese Government to the anti-SARS struggle, the situation has been successfully controlled. Since May 1 of 2003, the Ministry of Health of China published daily the number of newly increased SARS patient of Beijing, the authors analyzed these data using $X_cs$$-R_scs$ cause-selecting control charts of Statistical Diagnosis(SPD) Theory. Data about number of newly increased SARS patient consists of two kinds of variation: random variation and tendency variation of SARS epidemic. It is concluded that SARS epidemic of Beijing was already controlled since May 9 of 2003.

  • According to the automated manufacturing processes followed by the development of computer manufacturing technologies, products or quality characteristics produced on the processes have measured and recorded automatically. Much amount of data daily produced on the processes may not be efficiently analyzed by current statistical methodologies (i.e., statistical quality control and statistical process control methodologies) because of the dimensionality associated with many input and response variables. Although a number of statistical methods to handle this situation, there is room for improvement. In order to overcome this limitation, we integrated data mining and robust design approach in this research. We find efficiently the significant input variables that connected with the interesting response variables by using the data mining technique. And we find the optimum operating condition of process by using RSM and robust design approach.

휴리스틱접근법(接近法)에 의한 관리도(管理圖)의 경고한계선(警告限界線)에 관한 연구(硏究) (A Study on the Warning Limit of Statistical Control Chart by the Heuristic Approach)

  • Since W.A. Shewhart (1931) developed the quality control method using the control chart, many theoretical and empirical works about such an analytical method have been done. However there are two major methods relating to the control chart analysis; the conventional 3 sigma control method and the warning limit method which has been suggested as a modification of the former. The conventional 3 sigma method requires to take a remedial action only when a quality characteristic is beyond the control limit (3 sigma). However, once a quality characteristic is over the control limit, searching and repairing an assignable cause requires time consuming job and high costs. Therefore if we set the warning limit between the central line and the control limit, we will be able to take remedial measures before too late. In spite of its advantage, much attention has not been paid to use the control chart with warning limit in Korean industries. The main object of this study is to examine improvement of quality and productivity when the control chart with warning limit is used.

  • The paper proposes the misuse types of statistical quality tools according to the kind of data and the number of population in DMAIC process of six sigma. The result presented in this paper can be extended to the QC story 15 steps of QC circle. The study also provides the improvement methods about control chart, measurement system analysis, statistical difference, and practical equivalence.
