Cluster Analysis of Car Parking Data, and Development of their Web Applications

  • In this paper, we apply cluster analysis to "Okayama parking data" that is one of the spatial point patterns data that includes locations and the fare structure of car parking space in Okayama central area. This study classifies the characteristics of small areas through Okayama parking data as well as visualizes the results of the cluster analysis. We develop web applications that connect the results of a cluster analysis and overlay objects including points of balloons and rectangles of small areas over a map of Okayama central area.

신경망 및 통계적 방법에 의한 클러스터링 성능평가 (A Study on Performance Evaluation of Clustering Algorithms using Neural and Statistical Method)

  • This paper evaluates the clustering performance of a neural network and a statistical method. Algorithms which are used in this paper are the GLVQ(Generalized Learning vector Quantization) for a neural method and the k-means algorithm fer a statistical clustering method. For comparison of two methods, we calculate the Rand's c statistics. As a result, the mean of c value obtained with the GLVQ is higher than that obtained with the k-means algorithm, while standard deviation of c value is lower. Experimental data sets were the Fisher's IRIS data and patterns extracted from handwritten numerals.

지역별 교통사고 예측모형에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Forecasing Modeles of Traffic Accident by Region)

  • This paper deals with the forecasting models for traffic accident by region. Its objectives are to develop the appropriate model for projecting the accident and to analyze the regional characteristics of the accident model. The main results are as follow. First, the literature review, statistical tests and sensitivity analyses show that the joint model combined both PTM and Exponential functions is appropriate to project the traffic accidents by region. Second, the statistical analyses by region. Second, the statistical analyses on the regional accident models indicate that the levels of significance in terms of t-value, $R^2$ and F-value are very high. Finally, the comparative analyses among regions show that the regional differences on the accident patterns can be explained by the joint models and the accident indices (parameters, $P_{max}$, 1/b, $\eta$ etc.) of each region.

실적선 통계분석을 이용한 32피트급 레저보트 선형개발 (Hull Form Development of 32-ft Class Leisure Boat by Statistical Analysis of Actual Ships)

  • A 32-ft class leisure boat was newly developed using statistical analysis of actual ships. Resistance performances were investigated by testing models in a high-speed circulating water channel, and with the CFD method. The effects of a trim tab and of a fin attached at the hull side were studied together. Wave patterns were observed to clarify the relationship between resistance performance and wave characteristics. It was found that a trim tab and a side fin play a role in increasing resistance performance within a certain velocity range.

  • Many studies have been done to develop procedures to deal with missing values. Most common method is to reassign the other values to the missing data. The purpose of our study is to suggest adjusted Cohen methods and to compare the efficiency of them with other methods through a simulation study. The adjusted Cohen methods use an auxiliary variable to arrange ranking of the variable with missing values. It leads to a reduced mean square error(MSE) compared with the Cohen method.

고유수용성신경근촉진법 중 하지패턴이 경부 굴곡근 근활성도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation Leg Patterns on the Muscle Activation of Neck Flexors)

  • The aim of the present study was to determine the effect of proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) leg patterns on the muscle activation of neck flexors. Twenty healthy subjects participated in this study. Each subject performed bilateral asymmetrical PNF leg patterns against manual resistance under four conditions: through the full range of motion toward the right side, left side, and the end range in the right side, left side. Electromyographic (EMG) data was collected from the sternocleidomastoid (SCM) muscles as neck flexors. The root mean square (RMS) value of the SCM was measured and normalized from maximal EMG activity of the SCM. The data were analyzed using the paired t-test and repeated analysis of variance (ANOV A) was used to compare the statistical significance. The results of this study are summarized as follows: Firstly, the RMS values of SCM were significantly higher in all four PNF leg patterns than in the resting condition (p<.05). Secondly, there was no significant difference in muscle activation according to the direction of PNF leg patterns (p>.05). Thirdly, there was no significant difference in muscle activation according to the point of range of the motion of leg patterns (p>.05). It is suggested that PNF bilateral asymmetrical leg patterns have a considerable effect on muscle activation of the SCM, regardless of the range of motion and direction of PNF bilateral asymmetrical leg patterns.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a large representative data base of market information for jeans apparel. This study was to observe consumer buying behavior and to determine the market share of various brands depending on several variables such as age and distribution regions. This study also analyzed the major factors in purchasing jeans for 17-29 age groups. The 660 questionnaires were distributed and 618 reliable ones were used for statistical analysis. A SAS statistical package including frequency' table, Chi-square test, factor analysis, analysis of variance(ANOVA), Duncan's multiple range test was used. The results of this study showed that consumer possessed about 6 pairs of jeans and bought about 3 pairs of jeans per year. The most recently purchased brand was Nix. Lots of brands were statistically significant at the segmented three age groups and in the five different distribution regions. The most popular type of design was the basic style. The result of factor analysis indicated 4 factors(quality/comfort, famous brand/fashion, mood/extrinsic attitude, economy). The result of ANOVA represented that three factors among them have influenced on the preferred design types.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 우리나라의 현행 소방력기준과 소방력배치 현황의 실태에 대하여 분석한 결과를 바탕으로 우리나라의 취락유형별 소방력배치의 개선방안을 제안하는 것이다. 우리나라의 취락유형별 소방력배치 및 운용을 위하여 현행 표준정원제 중심의 소방력배치 기준에 대하여 구체적인 인력산출 기준을 분석한 다음, 통계분석방법을 사용하여 전국의 시와 읍을 유형별로 분류하고, 표준화지수를 도입하여 취락유형 별로 소방환경과 소방수요를 반영할 수 있는 소방력배치의 기준을 제안하였다.

  • 본 연구에서는 경산시 대중교통체계 개편 전과 후의 통행패턴을 분석하였으며, 통행패턴 변화의 통계적 검정을 위해 카이제곱($x^2$)검정과 t-검정을 실시하였다. 또한 대중교통 이용자들의 통행패턴 변화에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하기 위해 이항로짓모형을 추정하였으며, 개편 전 후 교통수단 선택에 영향을 미치는 요인을 비교 분석하기 위해 다항로짓모형을 추정하였다. 이들 두 로짓모형의 추정을 위해 사용된 설명변수로는 통행패턴 변화 및 대중교통체계 개편 전 후의 교통수단 선택에 영향을 미칠 것으로 예상되는 성별, 연령, 직업, 통행목적, 요금지불방법, 목적지, 통행시간의 7개 변수를 사용하였다. 이러한 분석을 통해 대중교통시설 및 환승체계 구축 등 교통정책 수립에 필요한 다양한 시사점과 본 연구의 한계를 제시하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 클래스내부와 클래스간의를 확정하게 제어할 수 있는 랜덤 프로세스 모델을 제어하는 프리세스 내부의 파라메다들을 변화시키며, 프로세스간의 통계적인 차이와 랜덤 잡음을 변화시켜 학습을 위한 패턴들을 생성한다. 이 랜덤 프로세스 모델에서 생성된 패턴들을 이용하여 역전파알고리즘으로 학습된 다단 신경망의 성능 성능을 평가한다. 평가 실험결과는 패턴 분류문제에서 일반화된 통계적인 거리가 분류문제의 난이도에 대한 좋은 예측기가 되는 것을 보여 준다. 또한 본 논문에서는 다단신경망의 성능과 베이스패턴분류기의 성능을 비교하기 위하여 베이스분류기의 이론적인 성능분석과 모의실험을 통한 평가를 하였다. 다단신경망의 분류성능이 이론적인 성능과 실헝치와 매우 근사하며 그 두 성능 중간에 위치함을 발견하였다.
