다양한 연단조건을 갖는 마름모꼴형 평판의 진동에 대한 모서리 응력특이도의 영향 (The Influence of Corner Stress Singularities on the Vibration of Rhombic Plates Having Various Edge Conditions)

  • 본 논문에서는 고정, 단순, 또는 자유 연단 조건의 세 가지의 다른 조합을 갖는 마름모꼴형 평판의 진동에 대한 엄밀한 해석방법을 제시하였다. 본 논문의 주된 관점은 마름모꼴형 평판 둔각모서리에서 형성되는 모멘트특이도를 엄밀히 고려하여 해석하는 것이다. 단 영역 Lagrangian 범함수의 정상조건이 Ritz방법을 이용하여 유도되었다. 진동수의 수렴에 대한 연구는 모서리함수가 수렴속도를 가속화하는 것을 보여주고 있다. 본 논문에서는 모서리 응력특이도의 영향이 이해될 수 있도록 상당히 큰 둔각모서리를 갖는 마름모꼴 형 평판에 대한 정확한 진동수와 수직진동변위의 전형적인 등고선을 제시하였다.

개체 수 변화에 대한 이산적 모델의 역사적 개요와 컴퓨터 소프트웨어를 이용하는 시각적 분석 방법 (A Historical Review on Discrete Models of Population Changes and Illustrative Analysis Methods Using Computer Softwares)

  • Species like insects and fishes have, in many cases, non-overlapping time intervals of one generation and their descendant one. So the population dynamics of such species can be formulated as discrete models. In this paper various discrete population models are introduced in chronological order. The author's investigation starts with the Malthusian model suggested in 1798, and continues through Verhulst model(the discrete logistic model), Ricker model, the Beverton-Holt stock-recruitment model, Shep-herd model, Hassell model and Sigmoid type Beverton-Holt model. We discuss the mathematical and practical significance of each model and analyze its properties. Also the stability properties of stationary solutions of the models are studied analytically and illustratively using GSP, a computer software. The visual outputs generated by GSP are compared with the analytical stability results.

  • Many practical engineering problems are associated with nonlinear systems subjected to nonstationary random excitations. Equivalent linearization methods are commonly used to seek for approximate solutions to this kind of problems. Compared to various approaches developed in the frequency and mixed time-frequency domains, though directly solving the system equation of motion in the time domain would improve computation efficiency, only limited studies are available. Considering the fact that the orthogonal functions have been widely used to effectively improve the accuracy of the approximated responses and reduce the computational cost in various engineering applications, an orthogonal-function-based equivalent linearization method in the time domain has been proposed in the current paper for nonlinear systems subjected to nonstationary random excitations. In the numerical examples, the proposed approach is applied to a SDOF system with a set-up spring and a SDOF Duffing oscillator subjected to stationary and nonstationary excitations. In addition, its applicability to nonlinear MDOF systems is examined by a 3DOF Duffing system subjected to nonstationary excitation. Results show that the proposed method can accurately predict the nonlinear system response and the formulation of the proposed approach allows it to be capable of handling any general type of nonstationary random excitations, such as the seismic load.

캔틸레버 복합 적층판의 3차원 진동해석 (Three-Dimensional Vibration Analysis of Cantilevered Laminated Composite Plates)

  • 본 논문은 캔틸레버 복합 적층판의 고유진동에 대하여 3차원으로 해석한 연구를 제시하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 고정단에서의 경계조건을 엄밀히 만족하고 수학적으로 완전한 다항식으고 표현되는 근사 변위와 Ritz 방법을 이용하여 Lagrangian범함수의 정상값을 구하였다. 3차원 모델의 정확도는 무차원 진동수의 수렴연구를 통하여 이루어졌으며, 또한 기존 문헌상의 해석 및 실험 결과와의 비교를 통하여 본 연구 결과의 정확성을 검토하였다. 본 논문에서 제시된 3차원 진동수의 결과를 이용하여 캔틸레버 복합 적층판의 기하학 및 재료 매개변수 즉, 형상비(a/b), 폭두께비(a/h), 재료의 직교 이방성, 플라이 수(NP), 섬유 배향각(θ), 및 적층 순서가 미치는 효과를 설명하였다.

스캐너를 이용한 AZ31 극박판재와 AZ91D 다이캐스팅 프레임의 고속레이저용접 (Fast laser welding with scanner on the joint between AZ31 thin sheet and die-casted AZ91D frame for smart phone application)

  • High welding speed and narrow weld seam are favorable for welding of magnesium alloy. Magnesium alloy is recommended for the smart frame because it has several advantages such as low density, high thermal conductivity, EMI shielding capability and good cast ability. This study is for the assembly welding of the magnesium smart frame with high productivity, good performance and low cost. The window for battery on AZ91D frame produced by die-casting was prepared by CNC machining. Corresponding AZ31 blank of 0.2mm thickness was prepared by die-blanking cut. All system set was fixed at the stationary bed but the laser beam was manipulated by scanner up-to 1,000mm/s speed. The weld joint between AZ31 sheet and AZ91D frame was welded by fiber laser on 850~1,000W output power. The joint showed penetration enough but some humping bead. The distortion by the weld heat was almost free because of the quick dissipation of the heat by small beam size and fast welding. Consequently, the thinner magnesium foil was assembled successfully to the magnesium frame of mobile phone.

폐절연유를 이용한 숙련도 평가용 PCBs 표준물질의 적용성 평가 (Estimation on the application of Reference Materials for PCBs Proficiency Testing from the transformer oil)

  • 본 연구는 폐기물분석전문기관이 신뢰성 있는 분석결과를 얻을 수 있도록 하기위한 폴리 염화바이페닐(PCBs) 정도관리 숙련도 평가용 표준물질을 개발할 목적으로 수행하였으며 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. PCBs함유 절연유와 PCBs가 함유되지 않은 절연유(PCB free oil)에 PCBs 표준액을 첨가하여 조제한 표준물질로 PCBs에 대한 숙련도평가용 표준물질을 제조하였다. PCBs 표준액 첨가에 의한 균질화도를 검토한 결과, Arochlor 1254 (6 ppm)과 Arochlor 1254:1260(1:1) (5 ppm)을 첨가한 경우 최대 60일, Arochlor 1260 (3.5 ppm)을 첨가한 경우 최대 90일이 지나야 균질화되는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 제조된 표준물질을 10회 이상 반복 측정한 결과, PCBs 제조 표준물질은 상대표준편차 3.51~5.01%로 균질성이 있다고 판단되었으며, 일원분산분석법(one way ANOVA)에 따라 균질도를 평가한 결과 모든 시료가 균질하다고 판단되었다. 제조된 표준물질을 무작위로 10개의 선정하여 분석한 결과를 기준값으로 선택하였으며, 측정과정과 균질도에 의한 확장불확도값은 0.26~0.49로 조사되었다.

Inverse HPLC approach for the evaluation of repulsive interaction between ionic solutes and a membrane polymer

  • Rejection of ionic solutes by reverse osmosis (RO) and nanofiltration (NF) membranes is controlled mainly by electrochemical interaction as well as pore size, but it is very difficult to directly evaluate such electrochemical interaction. In this work, we used an inverse HPLC method to investigate the interaction between ionic solutes and poly (m- phenylenediaminetrimesoyl) (PPT), a polymer similar to the skin layer of polyamide RO and NF membranes. Silica gel particles coated with PPT were used as the stationary phase, and aqueous solutions of the ionic solutes were used as the mobile phase. Chromatographs obtained for the ionic solutes showed features typical of exclusion chromatographs: the ionic solutes were eluted faster than water (mobile phase), and the exclusion intensity of the ionic solute decreased with increasing solute concentration, asymptotically approaching a minimum value. The charge density of PPT was estimated to be ca. 0.007 mol/L. On the basis of minimum exclusion intensity, the exclusion distances between a salt and neutralized PPT was examined, and the following average values were obtained: 0.49 nm for 1:1 salts, 0.57 nm for 2:1 salts, 0.60 nm for 1:2 salts, and 0.66 nm for 2:2 salts. However, $NaAsO_2$ and $H_3BO_3$, which are dissolved at neutral pH in their undissociated forms, were not excluded.

  • The combined use of smart materials, complementing each others' characteristics and resulting in devices with optimised features, is providing new solutions in many industries. The use of ingenious combinations of smart materials has led to improvements in actuation speed and force, signal-to-noise ratio, sensor precision and unique capabilities such as self-sensing self-healing systems and energy autonomy. This may all give rise to a revival for numerous families of smart materials, for which application proposals had already reached a stationary situation. It may also provide the boost needed for the definitive industrial success of many others. This study focuses on reviewing the proposals, preliminary studies and success cases related to combining smart materials to obtain multifunctional, improved systems. It also examines the most outstanding applications and fields for the combined use of these smart materials. We will also discuss related study areas which warrant further research for the development of novel approaches for demanding applications.

대칭 복합적층 직사각형 판의 진동해석 (Vibration Analysis of Symmetrically Laminated Composite Rectangular Plates)

  • 복합적층판은 일반적으로 이방성이고 전단탄성계수의 인장탄성계수에 대한 비가 강판등 일반 구조용 판재와 비교하여 상당히 작다. 따라서 동특성해석은 원칙적으로 이방성 후판이론에 기초하는 것이 타당하다. 또 판의 주변 경계조건은 단순지지와 고정의 중간상태일 때가 많다. 본 연구에서는 4변이 회전에 대해 탄성구속된 대칭 복합적층 직사각형 판의 진동해석에 대해 이방성 후판이론에 의거하여 정식화하고, 엄밀해를 구하기 어려운 점을 고려하여 Timoshenko 보함수 성질을 갖는 다항식을 이용하는 Rayleigh-Ritz 해석방법을 제시했다. 일련의 수치계산 예를 통해 기존의 다른 방법에 의한 연구결과들과 비교하므로써 전기해석방법의 유용성이 검증되었다. 또한, 이방성 복합적층판의 경우에는 nodal line이 매우 휘어진 양태이며, 보다 정확한 해석을 위해서는 진동파형가정에 있어서 직교이방성인 경우보다 더 많은 항수를 취할 필요가 있음이 확인되었다.

Rapid Determination of Imatinib in Human Plasma by Liquid Chromatography-Tandem Mass Spectrometry: Application to a Pharmacokinetic Study

  • A simple, fast and robust analytical method was developed to determine imatinib in human plasma using liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry with electrospray ionization in the positive ion mode. Imatinib and labeled internal standard were extracted from plasma with a simple protein precipitation. The chromatographic separation was performed using an isocratic elution of mobile phase involving 5.0 mM ammonium formate in water-5.0 mM ammonium formate in methanol (30:70, v/v) over 3.0 min on reversed-stationary phase. The detection was performed using a triple-quadrupole tandem mass spectrometer in multiple-reaction monitoring mode. The developed method was validated with lower limit of quantification of 10 ng/mL. The calibration curve was linear over 10-2000 ng/mL ($R^2$ > 0.99). The method validation parameters met the acceptance criteria. The spiked samples and standard solutions were stable under conditions for storage and handling. The reliable method was successfully applied to real sample analyses and thus a pharmacokinetic study in 27 healthy Korean male volunteers.
