  • In many manufacturing processes such as web formation, manufacturing of paper and nonwoven, fabric weaving, etc., planar sheets are transported and at the same time appropriate tension is imposed. The input material rolled up on beams is fed by unwinding the beam and the processed is then taken up on beams by winding it. While processed, the planar sheets are thrown under the processing load of impulse form, which causes irregular thickness of the processed sheet. To improve the quality of the product, a dynamic model is needed and the dynamic characteristics is to be analyzed by simulation. This study shows that density variation dynamics of the in-process-sheet in the machine direction can be described at each moment of disturbing impacts in forms of difference equations, while the impacts and tension, the time-dependency of the material properties were taken into account. Simulation showed the most serious variation of the density occurred in the process starting phase. The starting velocity curve with step form showed the least variation of the density. As the time order of the function of the starting velocity cure becomes higher, the density variation gets greater.

고속 저진동 운동을 위한 비대칭 S-커브 프로파일 (Antisymmetric S-curve Profile for Fast and Vibrationless Motion)

  • By breaking the symmetry of the velocity profile in the S-curve, we developed a fast starting and smooth ending motion profile, named asymmetric S-curve(AS-curve). The problem for generating motion profile is formulated, and the algorithm for the AS-curve is derived and the flow chart of the AS-curve is illustrated. By various simulations, the derived algorithm is tested and shows the validity. This AS-curve can be applied to the high precision machines where fast and vibrationless motion is required in the near future.

자동차용 시로코팬의 성능 및 유동특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on Performance and Flow Characteristics of Automotive Sirocco Fan)

  • For the optimal design of an automotive blower system, effects of the scroll cut-off starting angle, the clearance between blade tip and bellmouth, and the scroll expansion angle on the performance of sirocco fan are investigated experimentally. Best performance is achieved at fan exposure ratio $\Deltae/r_c$,/TEX> =1.0, and clearance ratio $\DeltaeC/C=0.62. Flow characteristics inside sirocco fan are also studied by using LDV. Flow patterns in the inside of fan can be classified into three regions. Velocity vector has the same direction as rotational direction of fan at 0~$120^{\circ}$, toward the fan blades at 150~$180^{\circ}$, and opposite direction at 210~$330^{\circ}$. Turbulent intensity is relatively high near the cut-off edge in the scroll housing.

  • It is desirable but difficult to predict springback quantitatively and accurately for successful tool and process design in sheet stamping operations. The result of springback analysis by the finite element method (FEM) is sensitively influenced by numerical factors such as blank element size, number of integration points, punch velocity, contact algorithm, etc. In the present work, a parametric study by Taguchi method is performed in order to evaluate the influence of numerical factors on the result of springback analysis quantitatively and to obtain the combination of numerical factors which gives the best approximation to experimental data. Since springback is determined by the residual stress after forming process, it is important to evaluate stress distribution accurately. The oscillation in the time history curve of stress obtained by the dynamic-explicit finite element method says that the stress solution at termination time is in very unstable state. Therefore, a variability study is also carried out in this study in order to assess the stability of implicit springback analysis starting from the stress solution by explicit forming simulation. The U-draw bending process, one of the NUMISHEET '93 benchmark problems, is adopted as an application model because it is most popular one for evaluating the springback characteristic.

  • 철도차량의 안전성을 확보하기위해서는 견인성능 및 속도의 변동성을 고려하여 감속기의 피로해석에 관한 연구를 수행하는 것이 중요하다. 본 논문은 고속철도차량 감속기 기어의 변동하중하에서 피로파괴에 대하여 준정적 유한요소해석과 선형 Miner's Rule에 의한 내구성해석을 수행하였다. 해석을 위한 변동하중이력은 열차견인성능곡선과 상업운전조건에서 운전선도를 기초로 MSC.ADAMS의 동역학 해석에 의하여 구축하였다. 또한 감속기 피로수명은 기어표면의 침탄부 효과를 고려한 유한요소모델을 사용하여 변형률-수명접근법에 의하여 예측하였다. 해석결과로부터 급출발에 의한 빈번한 높은 기동토크와 정차역수의 증가는 철도차량 감속기 기어수명을 감소시킴을 알 수 있었다.

A Study on the Goal Setting Method for Increasing the Holed Probability in Slope Putting Stroke on an Artificial Putting Surface

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to develop a goal setting method for increasing the probability of a holed in a side inclined putting stroke. Method: Three-dimensional video data was recorded at a frequency of 120 hz per second after synchronizing 19 infrared motion capture systems (Qualisys, Gothenburg, Sweden). Putting green used a polycarbonate plate ($1.2{\times}2.4{\times}0.01meter$) with coefficient of friction (${\mu}=0.062$) and a real curve of the actual hole. Results: The velocity ratio between the club and the ball was 1:1.6 under various ball speed conditions in this study. The overall position of the break is 1 m to 1.4 m from the point where the ball leaves. If there is a slope, the ball follows the target line by the straightening force, and when it reaches 1 m position, the straightening force decreases by 30~50% and reaches to the deviation (break) point which is severely influenced by the slope. From here, the ball is aimed in a direction other than the target, and the size is affected by the slope. Conclusion: If there is a side slope, the ball moves away from the straight line, and the larger the slope, the closer the break point is to the starting point of the ball. Therefore, it is necessary to calculate the degree of departure according to the slope carefully, and it is preferable that the slower the speed is, the more the influence of the slope becomes. It is preferable to use the center of the hole as a reference when calculating the departure.

HEMU 430-X 주행특성을 고려한 호남고속철도 곡선궤도구조의 거동연구 (Study on the Behavior of Curved Track in Honam High-Speed Line considering the Running Performanace for HEMU 430-X)

  • 열차가 주행할 때 발생하는 차륜-레일 상호작용력은 열차의 주행속도, 차량축중과 선형조건(곡선반경, 캔트) 등 여러 변수의 영향을 받는다. 구조물의 안정성을 확보하기 위해서는 증속이전에 각 변수별로 구조물에 대한 영향 평가가 필요하다. 최근 차세대고속철도사업으로 국내에서 개발된 HEMU 430-X는 지난 2013년 3월, 경부 2단계구간에서 최고 421.4km/h의 속도를 달성한 바 있다. 향후 호남고속선 Test-Bed 구간(오송기점 K.P 100-128km)에서 추가적인 증속주행시험을 하는 경우 동적효과 증가로 인한 동적하중증가와 원심하중에 의한 외측레일에 대한 궤도작용력에 대한 검토가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 HEMU열차의 추진력, 실측주행저항과 호남고속선의 선로선형을 고려하여 TPS 분석을 수행하여 선로에서의 속도변화를 계산하였다. 그리고 HEMU 열차주행시 곡선구간에서의 원심하중과 충격계수를 고려한 궤도부담력을 평가하였다.

하천 사행의 계량형태학적 특성 (Morphometrical characteristics of River Meandering)

  • 하천 재해 방지 및 하천 유지의 관점에서 반드시 구명되어야 하는 하천 사행에 관한 연구는 자연 현상에 대한 관점에서 출발하여, 금세기초부터 체계적이고 과학적인 연구가 진행되어 왔다. 그 발생 원인은 정설이 확립되지 않은 가운데 복합적인 여러 요인에 의하여 사행은 생성, 발달되며, mechanism의 고찰과 함께 계량형태학적 분석으로 사행 특성이 일부 밝혀지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 유로연장 30km 이상의 67개 대상하천에서 사행특성인자인 사행파장(M$$)과 사행대(M$$) 등의 관계를 구명하여 유량과의 상관성을 분석하였다. 또한 하천의 기점에서 종점까지의 직선 거리에 대한 유로 연장의 비인 유로형상계수(L$$)를 처음으로 제안했으며, 유로 연장에 대한 만곡부연장의 비인 Tortuosity(t)와 더불어, 유로연장, 사행경사, Horton의 유역형상계수 등과 상관분석 및 복합회귀분석을 시행한 결과 L$$와 T가 하천사행의 한 척도가 됨을 밝혔다. 사행 유로부와 직유로부에서 유속과 수면경사, 하상굴곡도(degre of sinuosity)를 비교 검토한 결과, 사행 유로부가 직유로부보다 하상의 안정성이 높음을 알았다. 하천 수계별 사행파장과 사행대의 상관식은 각기 선형관계와 역함수관계로 대별되었으며, 남한강 수계의 경우에는 선형관계, 낙동강, 금강 수계의 경우에는 역함수 관계식을 제시하였다.
