BIOFIT - Smart, Portable, Wearable and Wireless Digital Exercise Trainer Device with Biofeedback Capability

  • Today Human Personal Trainers are becoming very famous in this health conscious world. They teach user to achieve fitness goals in managed way. Due to their high fee and tight schedule they are unavailable to mass number of people. Another solution to this problem is to develop digital personal trainer portable instrument that may replace human personal trainers. We developed a portable digital exercise trainer device - BIOFIT that manages, monitors and records the user's physical status and workout during exercise session. It guides the user to exercise efficiently for specific fitness goal. It keeps the full exercise program i.e. exercises start date and time, duration, mode, control parameter, intensity in its memory which helps the user in managing his exercise. Exercise program can be downloaded from the internet. During exercise it continuously monitors the user's physiological parameters: heart rate, number of steps walked, and energy consumed. If these parameters do not range within prescribed target zone, the BIOFIT will alarm the user as a feedback to control exercise. The BIOFIT displays these parameters on graphic LCD. During exercise it continuously records the heart rate and number of steps walked every 10 seconds along with exercise date and time. This stored information can be used as treatment for the user by an exercise expert. Real-time ECG monitoring can be viewed wirelessly (RF Communication) on a remote PC.

  • This paper analyzed the obligations of the parties entering into an international leasing agreements, focusing on the Draft Common Frame of Reference (DCFR) Book IV, Part B. The lessor's obligations are as follows. i) The lessor must deliver goods to the lessee by the due date of delivery so that the lessee can use the goods on the starting date of the lease agreement. ii) The lessor must conform with the contract so that the goods meet the purpose of the contract at the start of the lease agreement and throughout the period of the lease agreement. iii) If the lessee returns the goods upon the termination of the lease agreement, the lessor must cooperate with the lessee. The lessee's obligations are as follows. i) The lessee must pay rent, which is the most critical obligation of the lessee. ii) The lessee must cooperate with the lessor so that the lessor can perform the obligation to deliver the goods and accept the goods of which the lessee shall take control. iii) The lessee shall perform fiduciary duties while it uses and makes profits from the goods, and when the lessor cannot take any measure to protect the object, the lessee must prevent damage. Further, if the lessor pays expenses that are not considered necessary expenses, the lessor may not be reimbursed and must accept the goods after delivery to preserve them. iv) The lessee must give notice to the lessor if there is a possibility that a third party can claim rights to goods or infringe upon the lessor's ownership while using the goods. v) At the end of the lease period, the lessee must return the goods to the lessor.

시간 제약을 포함한 워크플로우 모델링 및 검증 (Modeling and Verification of Workflows with Time Constraints)

  • 최근에 자동화된 업무처리 시스템으로써, 워크플로우 시스템에 대한 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 기존 연구에서는 태스크 자체에 시간적 특성을 고려하지 않고 태스크의 상태 변이 특성만을 고려하였다. 본 연구는 태스크의 최소 처리시간과 마감시간을 고려함으로써, 시간 제약을 포함한 워크플로우 모델링 및 검증방안을 제안한다. 이를 위해 첫째, 마감시간을 위배하지 않는 태스크의 철회에 대해 대안 태스크를 결정할 수 있는 우선 순위 함수를 제안한다. 우선 순위 함수는 대안 태스크에 대한 시간요소, 의미적 호환 수준을 고려함으로써, 가장 적절한 대안 태스크를 결정한다. 둘째, 기존 연구에서는 순차 및 병행 종속성만을 고려하였으나, 본 연구에서는 태스크간 종속성을 순차 종속성이외에 다양한 병행 종속성인 동시 수행 종속성, 동시시작 종속성, 동시종료 종속성, 간섭된 종속성, 그리고 중첩된 종속성으로 구분하여 제안한다. 셋째, 기술된 워크플로우에 존재할 수 있는 논리적 모순을 발견하기 위해 그래프를 이용한 검증기법을 제안한다.

  • Intelligent Character Recognition System for Account Payable (ICRS AP) Automation represents the process of capturing text from scanned invoices and extracting the key fields from invoices and storing the captured fields into properly structured document format. ICRS plays a very critical role in invoice data streamlining, we are interested in data like Vendor Name, Purchase Order Number, Due Date, Total Amount, Payee Name, etc. As companies attempt to cut costs and upgrade their processes, accounts payable (A/P) is an example of a paper-intensive procedure. Invoice processing is a possible candidate for digitization. Most of the companies dealing with an enormous number of invoices, these manual invoice matching procedures start to show their limitations. Receiving a paper invoice and matching it to a purchase order (PO) and general ledger (GL) code can be difficult for businesses. Lack of automation leads to more serious company issues such as accruals for financial close, excessive labor costs, and a lack of insight into corporate expenditures. The proposed system offers tighter control on their invoice processing to make a better and more appropriate decision. AP automation solutions provide tighter controls, quicker clearances, smart payments, and real-time access to transactional data, allowing financial managers to make better and wiser decisions for the bottom line of their organizations. An Intelligent Character Recognition System for AP Automation is a process of extricating fields like Vendor Name, Purchase Order Number, Due Date, Total Amount, Payee Name, etc. based on their x-axis and y-axis position coordinates.

OLAP4R: A Top-K Recommendation System for OLAP Sessions

  • The Top-K query is currently played a key role in a wide range of road network, decision making and quantitative financial research. In this paper, a Top-K recommendation algorithm is proposed to solve the cold-start problem and a tag generating method is put forward to enhance the semantic understanding of the OLAP session. In addition, a recommendation system for OLAP sessions called "OLAP4R" is designed using collaborative filtering technique aiming at guiding the user to find the ultimate goals by interactive queries. OLAP4R utilizes a mixed system architecture consisting of multiple functional modules, which have a high extension capability to support additional functions. This system structure allows the user to configure multi-dimensional hierarchies and desirable measures to analyze the specific requirement and gives recommendations with forthright responses. Experimental results show that our method has raised 20% recall of the recommendations comparing the traditional collaborative filtering and a visualization tag of the recommended sessions will be provided with modified changes for the user to understand.

벼 수확기계의 적정소요능력 결정을 위한 작업가능 일수의 확률분포 분석 (Study on weather Probability for Optimum Scheduling of Rice Harvesting Mechanization.)

  • This paper reports on the analysis of the distributions of probable days being good for mechanical rice harvesting and the method of determining the capacity of rice harvesting machinery for the given harvesting duration. In the analysis of the probability distribution of days being good for rice harvesting, the daily rainfalls above which mechanical field work may be impracticable were specified and their frequency of occurances was analyzed by using the weather records during past twenty-one years measured at five different locations. The conclusions being drawn from the analysis are as follows: 1. The distributions of probable workable days in different region and harvesting duration are very distinct and are different to set a uniform trend (refer to Fig. 1-4). 2. The occurance of probable days being good for mechanical field work under 66% confidence level are quite variable by region and by ten-day period. The analysis indicates that the probable workable days may range from 7.5 to 8.5 days of 10-day span within optimum harvesting duration (refer to Table 1). 3. Based on the probability distributions analyzed, the optimun capacities of harvesting machinery required for different harvesting areas and harvesting start-date were estimated as a function of operating duration (refer to Fig. 5 and Table 2)

  • The chemistry and performance characteristics of the EBDS process have been introduced, in which experimental results from laboratory, test plant, and pilot plant studies agree very well and can be understood from detailed kinetic models. The parametric dependencies of the NOx and $SO_2$, removal yields on the input conditions have been discussed and formulated quantitatively. The process is best suited for flue gas with high $SO_2$, loadings. The operation conditions, such as dose, ammonia, and water additions, can be adjusted fast upon load changes. The process works waste water free and the major product is a mixture of ammonium nitrate and sulfate that can be used as fertilizer. The up-date results show that the EBDS technology is safe and competitive with other already well-established technologies. Due to these interesting features, the electron beam process has gained much international recognition. Demonstration units of 100MW have been proposed in the United States and Japan. Further pilot plants are under construction in Poland and China, countries that make abundant use of highsulfur coal. Additional research activities are under way to further improve the energy efficiency of process, and accelerator prices have been decreasing during the past 10 years. So the EBDS process has a good chance to start a new generation of emission-control technology.

대학주도형 기술창업보육센터의 발전방향 - 해외사례연구를 중심으로 - (Development Strateges for University Initiated Technology Business Ineubator)

  • One of the innovative and most promising approaches to new high-tech business formation from university is technology business incubators, which attempts to enhance small high-tech start-up firms' chances of survival. To date, there is few comprehensive effort to do a comparative study of technology business incubatiors between European Countries and U.S. to evaluate the impacts of them on regional development. With these consideration in mind this research anlayzed key findings of 6 case studies of university related Technology Business Incubators in the U.K., Germany, and U.S. to explore relationship of university to regional development. These included Cambridge Science Park(CSP) '||'&'||' West of Scotland Science Park in the U.K., Dortmund Technologiezentrum '||'&'||' Berlin Technologiezentrum, and Rensselaer Technology Development Center of the Georgia Institute of Technology in the U.S. The primary objective of this study was to advance our understanding of the impact and utility of technology business incubators and to get some policy implications for the future development in this area in Korea. Among the major question examined hear was "how do they contribute the overall economy of the communities in which they are located\ulcorner". The results of the case study about this question were very positive. The technology business incubators contributed to foster new high-tech small business formation from university, to facilitate the cooperation between university and industry and Incubator tenants created jobs and income, pay taxes, and in doing so, had a multiplier effects on the local economy. The same was true of incubator graduates. With this consideration in mind the university related business regioned development policy in korean local communities.

원발성 월경곤란증과 맥의 관련성 연구 (A Study on the Relationship between Primary Dysmenorrhea and Pulse Energy Measured by 3D Blood Pressure Pulse Analyzer)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between the symptoms of primary dysmenorrhea and pulse energy of Chon, Gwan and Cheok. Methods The subjects of this study who had certain range of dysmenorrhea symptom. The degree of dysmenorrhea were assessed by Visual Analog Scale (VAS), Multidimensional Verbal Rating Scale (MVRS), Cox Menstrual Symptom Scale (CMSS) and measured by 3D Blood Pressure Pulse Analyzer(3D-MAC) tests at menstruation start date. Data analysis included descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression using the SPSS/WIN 18.0 program. Results : The induced results are as follows;The induced results are as follows 1. There were no significant relationship between the pulse energy and the sum values of VAS, MVRS and checking part of severity of CMSS. 2. The frequency domain of CMSS were significantly associated with pulse energy. 3. In linear regression models, the model of Left Chon had the especially highest value of explanatory power. (R 2 = 0.517) Conclusions : The pulse energy changes are related to the symptoms of primary dysmenorrhea.

실물옵션 가치평가모형을 이용한 국도건설사업의 경제적 가치 평가 (Economic Evaluation of National Highway Construction Projects using Real Option Pricing Models)

  • PURPOSES : This study evaluates the economic value of national highway construction projects using Real Option Pricing Models. METHODS : We identified the option premium for uncertainties associated with flexibilities according to the future's change in national highway construction projects. In order to evaluate value of future's underlying asset, we calculated the volatility of the unit price per year for benefit estimation such as VOTS, VOCS, VICS, VOPCS and VONCS that the "Transportation Facility Investment Evaluation Guidelines" presented. RESULTS : We evaluated the option premium of underlying asset through a case study of the actual national highway construction projects using ROPM. And in order to predict the changes in the option value of the future's underlying asset, we evaluated the changes of option premium for future's uncertainties by the defer of the start of construction work, the contract of project scale, and the abandon of project during pre-land compensation stages that were occurred frequently in the highway construction projects. Finally we analyzed the sensitivity of the underlying asset using volatility, risk free rate and expiration date of option. CONCLUSIONS : We concluded that a highway construction project has economic value even though static NPV had a negative(-) value because of the sum of the existing static NPV and the option premium for the future's uncertainties associated with flexibilities.
