250mV 입력 부스트 컨버터를 위한 스타트업 전압 발생기 (Start-up Voltage Generator for 250mV Input Boost Converters)

  • 본 논문에서는 DC-DC 부스트 컨버터의 최소 입력전압을 250mV 까지 낮출 수 있도록 하는 저전압 스타트업 전압 발생기를 제안 하였다. 제안된 스타트업 전압 발생기는 250mV의 입력전압을 500mV 이상으로 승압시켜 커패시터에 충전한다. 이후, 커패시터에 저장된 전압으로 부스트 컨버터를 시동시킴으로써, 250mV의 낮은 입력 전압에서도 부스트 컨버터가 동작을 시작할 수 있도록 하였다. 부스트 컨버터가 정상 동작한 후에는, 부스트 컨버터에 의하여 만들어지는 승압된 출력전압을 다시 부스트 컨버터의 전원으로 사용하게 함으로써, 스타트업 동작 후에는 기존 부스트 컨버터와 동일한 높은 전력 변환 효율로 동작 하도록 하였다. 제안된 스타트업 전압 발생기는 낮은 입력전압에서 트랜지스터의 바디전압을 조절하여 트랜지스터의 문턱전압을 낮춤으로써, 입력전압을 승압시키는 딕슨 차지펌프에 높은 클럭 주파수와 큰 전류를 공급하도록 하였다. 제안된 스타트업 전압 발생기는 $0.18{\mu}m$ CMOS 공정으로 제작되었으며, 250mV의 입력전압에서 생성된 클럭 주파수와 출력전압은 각각 34.5kHz와 522mV였다.

신진디자이너의 패션스타트업 기업운영 실태조사 연구 (A Survey on the Current Status of Management of Fashion Start-up Companies by the Rising Fashion Designers)

  • The aim of this study is to investigate the operating characteristics of fashion start-up companies and the characteristics of their founders. For this purpose, this study surveyed fashion start-up companies via online survey in May 2015, and analyzed the data from one hundred companies. The results are as follows. First, for the characteristics of the founders, female founders constituted 65.0% and male founders 35.0%. At the time of establishment, founders aged 26-35 constituted 77.0%. Founders with less than five years of work experience made up about 80%. 82.1% of the founders participated in domestic and foreign exhibitions/fairs. 41.0% of the founders were awarded fashion contest and competition awards, and 33.3% of the founders were supported by rising designer support projects. Second, for the operating characteristics of the start-up companies, clothing at 78.0% was the most popular entrepreneurial item, and the majority targeted the age 20-30 group. 78.0% of the companies had less than 40 production styles per season, and all the enterprises had less than 5 employees. 59.0% of the companies had export experience. Exports to China, Hong Kong, and Japan accounted for 67.4% of all exports. Major distribution channels were mainly select shops(offline select shops 79.8%, online select shops 62.8%). The main methods of promotion were fashion media articles/interviews, product sponsorship, and SNS. The most preferred distribution channel was becoming a part of online/offline select shops(92.6%). Viral marketing(84.4%), star marketing and costume sponsorship(66.7%) were the most preferred method of promotion. The most preferred way to enter foreign markets was to participate in domestic and foreign exhibitions/fairs/trade shows. This study provides basic data necessary for future founders preparing to launch fashion start-up companies. It also aids fashion start-up companies in developing more advanced business operation strategies.

  • 기동 돌입전류가 없는 역률개선을 위한 강압형과 승합형이 결합된 형태의 새로운 푸시풀 퀀텀 직렬공진형 정류기를 제안한다. 제안된 정류기의 동적모델링을 개발하여 기동 돌입전류를 제거하는 제어기법을 제안하였으며 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션과 실험을 통하여 제안된 정류기와 제어기법의 유용성을 보였다. 제안된 방식으로 고역률과 넓은 출력진압 범위를 얻었다.

  • A regenerative signal amplifying gate driver of self-excited electronic ballast is presented. It can be used for high pressure sodium (HPS) lamp without auxiliary external ignitor. Since the HPS lamp requires very high ignition voltage at start up, the resonant frequency of the circuit must be increased to obtain high voltage oscillations in spite of relatively small resonant current. The presented gate driver amplifies the current of gate drive transformer and raises the gate-source voltage Quickly to turn on the MOSFET switches. Hence, the resonant frequency can be increased more than 100kHz. The HPS lamp used in the simulation and experiment has the rating of 400W input power at 220V input ac voltage source. The experiments show that the resonant frequency is above 150kHz at start up.

철도건설의 환경적 가치평가연구 (An Appraisal of Environmental Value of Railroad Construction)

  • In spite of numerous advantages in railroads such as mass transportation, high reliability, and environmental soundness etc., the value of railroad construction is relatively underestimated compared to road. This is because the current method of evaluation focuses mainly on economic effect. In this study, considering recent research results, the environmental value of railroad construction was assessed by calculating the effect of reduction of emissions and water contamination. With these two benefits, the environmental effect produced by railroads and road construction was calculated and compared to each other using EMME/3. As a result, the senario 4 which considers 'Hot/Cold start' condition and water contamination had highest benefits. Furthermore, the environmental effect produced by railroad is 55~101% higher than road construction. If the suggested method is used in the current appraisal system, the environment-friendly mode like railway would be highly valued, much more than before.

GTA용접용 텅스텐 전극팁의 형상과 연마 상태가 아크특성에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Configuration and Surface Polishing in Tungsten Electrode Tip for Gas Tungsten Arc Welding on the Arc Characteristics)

  • The welding quality by Gas Tungsten Arc Welding shows very high level, but the welding speed is lower than that of gas metal arc welding. Also, the welding quality by automatic GTAW is variable as the arc characteristics is changed by the consumption of electrode tip. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relation between the properties of tungsten electrode tip and the various arc characteristics at high current region. In this study, the high welding current 200A was applied to the repeated arc start test and long term arcing test using the $\phi$3.2 tungsten electrodes with cone angle 30$^{\circ}$, 45$^{\circ}$, 60$^{\circ}$sharp tip, and 60$^{\circ}$surface polished (S.P.) sharp tip. It was confirmed that the maximum arc pressure by the initial electrode condition was highest in 45$^{\circ}$sharp tip, and the next in 60$^{\circ}$sharp tip, the last was in 30$^{\circ}$sharp tip and 60$^{\circ}$S.P.. But, the maximum arc pressure after the repeated arc start test and long term arcing test was decreased considerably. But, the maximum arc pressure was highest also in 45$^{\circ}$ sharp tip after the tests, the next was in 30$^{\circ}$sharp tip, and the last was in 60$^{\circ}$sharp tip and 60$^{\circ}$S.P.. The arc start characteristics was the most excellent in 60$^{\circ}$S.P., By long term arcing test, the lanthania included in tungsten electrode was extinguished at tip surface preferentially, therefore the arc characteristics of electrode tip got worse.

  • his study deals with a power conversion unit of an anti-start air conditioner compressor system for the commercial vehicle. In case of converter, to reduce the switching losses and current stresses of the device, applies LLC resonant topology. Transformer leakage inductance in the full-bridge converter is used for making the resonance with the capacitor of the voltage-doubler. Through this method we can increase power and decrease volume of system. Both circuit analysis and design guideline are described. So in this paper, power conversion unit is designed. 2.5kW anti-start air conditioner compressor system was implemented, and system operation and stability was verified through experiment.

  • Post industrial technologies have improved human standard of living, however, a host of negative environmental consequences from the unlimited industrial appetite have posed serious global challenges. Remanufacturing is an industrial manufacturing process that is to restore old products to perform like a new and to save energy, natural resources, landfill space and to reduce air pollution by less re-smelting. By extending product life cycle, remanufacturing gives us enormous opportunities for sustainable development of our society. This paper introduces current state of the art and future perspective in the field of automotive remanufacturing focusing on alternator and start motor. The results could be used as a basic information for further remanufacturing applications in Korea.

Selecting Investments in Start-ups: an OWA-based Methodology

  • Investment process on startup companies faces several difficulties based on the characteristics of this type of companies, such as lack of historical data, current operating losses and absence of comparable companies. In this paper we focus in a new methodology based on ordered weighted averaging (OWA) operators. OWA operators are useful instruments that enable the aggregation of information; in other words, from a data set we are able to obtain a single representative value of that set. The investment methodology presented consists on the application of OWA operators to the targeted startup companies based on the capacity of cash-flow generation and also on the planned scenario of future growth for each company. This paper shows that the methodology proposed can serve as a valuable tool, complementing the qualitative criteria (which, obviously, should not be ignored) for assessing and selecting a start-up investment.

위상각 전압제어기에 의한 단상유도전동기 기동특성 개선 (Improvement of Starting Characteristics of Single Phase Induction Motor by Phase Angle Voltage Controller)

  • The common drive method of the single phase induction motor(SPIM) is to install a start capacitor and a centrifugal switch in series with the auxiliary winding. In this paper, the phase angle voltage sequence controller is proposed to eliminate a start capacitor and a centrifugal switch of SPIM. In comparison with the capacitor start system of SPIM, the proposed control system shows that it contributes to saving the starting current about 57% and to improving of the starting efficiency of SPIM. The proposed starting characteristics of the SPIM is obtained with this strategy through simulation and experimental results.
