  • Loading/Unloading(L/UL) mechanism has been considered to be an alternative to contact start-stop(CSS) mechanism which eliminates stiction and wear associated with frequent start and stop process. It has other advantages including increased areal density due to lower flying height, reduced power consumption, and improved shock resistance. In order for L/UL to be Implemented in Near-field recording system properly, dynamics of optical flying head must be understood and optimized. In this paper the dynamic characteristics during loading process is analyzed numerically to investigate the effect of design parameters such as loading speed. slider shape, and initia conditions on the dynamic reponses of flying head..

  • The diverter system is a key component in achieving a high accuracy liquid flow rate standard using a static gravimetric system with a flying start and stop method. The diverter is a moving device used to direct flow alternately along its normal course(by pass) or towards the weighing tank. The time needed for collection into the weighing tank is measured using a timer. So it is important to the diversion period is sufficiently fast and triggering point of timer which is determined the filling time. On this studies show that uncertainty of diverter system for changing diversion speed and triggering point was estimated in accordance with Guide to The Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement(ISO).

  • In this paper, we propose software algorithms which provide acceleration/deceleration characteristics essential to high dynamic performance at the transient states where industrial robots or CNC machine tools start and stop. Software acceleration/deceleration methods are derived from the mathematical analyses of typical hardware systems controlling acceleration/deceleration. These methods make servo motors, which drive axes of motion, start and stop smoothly without vibration in the repeated tools. The path error, which is one of the most significant factors in the performance evaluation of industrial robots or CNC machine tools, is analyzed for linear, exponential, and parabolic acceleration/deceleration algorithms in case of circular interpolation. The analyses show that path error consists of the distance between the required path and generated one through acceleration/deceleration, and that between the generated one through acceleration/deceleration algorithm and the actual one of the end effector of the industrial robot or tool of the CNC equipment.

  • As the capacity of renewable power generation facilities rapidly increases, the variability of electric power system and gas turbine power generation is also increasing. Therefore, problems may occur that require urgent repair while the gas turbine rotor is stopped. When the gas turbine rotor turning is stopped and then restarted, if the turning period is not appropriate, severe vibration may occur due to rotor bending. As a result of the experiment, it was confirmed that normal operation is possible when the gap data measured at the start of rotor turning after maintenance work is similar to the existing value. And the vibration value at the start of rotor turning was lower as the rotor temperature was lower or the stop period was shorter.

보행 시작과 멈추는 거리가 보행 변인에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Start and Finish Distance on the Gait Variables during Walking)

  • It is essential for gait analysis to know the distance information. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of start and finish distance on the gait variable during walking. Six adolescent participated in this study. Start condition was given by six conditions.: walking forward from (1) one step, (2) three steps, (3) five steps, (4) ten steps, (5) one step after standing walk, and (6) three steps after standing walk, before contacting the force plate. Stop condition was given by four conditions. : stop after (1) one step, (2) two steps, (3) three steps, and (4) ten steps, passing force plate. Repeated measured one-way ANOVA was utilized for data analysis, and the significant level was set at .05. The largest change from the difference of gait velocity exists between the variables of ground reaction force. There were no significant differences in spatio-temporal and posture(angle) variables, as well as ground reaction force variables with walking over the three steps. There were significant differences in gait velocity, knee angle at heel contact, vertical impulse and ankle angle at toe off in short distance.

  • Recently, in the metro railways, researches on the skip-stop operation and development of the double deck train-set are active, which is to improve the service quality through reducing the passenger travel time and suppling seating service. Constructing new line or reforming the existent line needs huge amount of budget. Therefore, previous to start these large scale projects, scrutiny on benefit improvement, cost reduction and those optimal trade-off is indispensable. In this paper, a quantitative analysis to determine the optimal train service patterns and train-sets necessary is proposed, under the skip-stop operation condition in the metro railways. The analysis models are formulated in mathematical programming model, and tested validity using the LINGO 7.0.

  • 전동기 일체형 유압액추에이터(EHA)는 전기모터와 직결되어 구동되는 유압펌프를 이용하여 유압 피스톤의 변위나 속도를 제어할 수 있도록 모듈화된 유압기기로 효율이 높고 독립된 동력원을 갖는 장점으로 인하여 항공기의 전자구동시스템에 적용되어 왔다. 최근에는 다양한 형태의 유압시스템이 적용되고 있는 건설중장비 분야에서 엔진과 전기모터를 결합한 하이브리드 기술이 개발됨에 따라 EHA의 활용범위가 확대될 것으로 예상된다. 본 연구에서는 편로드 유압실린더를 갖는 EHA가 적용된 유압시스템을 대상으로 펌프작동에 따른 유압실린더의 기동 및 정지특성을 고찰하기 위하여 EHA 내부 유압회로의 기능을 파악하고 동특성 모델을 유도하였으며 파일럿작동 체크밸브의 크래킹압력을 분석하여 개방 및 폐쇄특성을 예측하였으며 시뮬레이션을 통하여 분석된 결과를 검증하였다.

IoT based Cleaner Control System using Smart Devices

  • 이 논문에서는 스마트폰 또는 스마트 워치와 같은 스마트 디바이스를 이용한 IoT 기반의 배낭식 청소기 제어 시스템을 구현한다. 구현 시스템은 제어모듈 제작, 제어 모듈 프로그래밍, 스마트 디바이스 프로그래밍으로 이루어져 있다. 이 중 제어 모듈은 아두이노 나노, HM-10 BLE 모듈 및 릴레이를 기본 부품으로 하여 제작하였다. 스마트 디바이스는 제어 모듈과 양방향 BLE 통신으로 신호 교환을 하고 있으며, 이를 통해 청소기의 시작/정지를 제어 할 수 있게 한다. 배낭식 청소기는 사다리 등을 이용해야 하는 높은 장소를 청소할 때 효과적이다. 그러나 배낭식 청소기를 시작/정지하기 위해 메고 있는 청소기를 벗어야 하는 경우가 종종 발생한다. 이 논문에서 구현한 사물인터넷 기반의 청소기 제어 시스템은 청소기를 벗지 않으면서도 청소기의 시작/정지를 제어할 수 있도록 함으로써 문제를 근본적으로 해결하였다.

에어챔버가 설치된 인라인 취수펌프장에서 수격현상 (Waterhammer for the In-Line Intake Pumping Station with Air Chamber)

  • Recently, because people are taking a great interest in the water supply system and the related facilities are getting larger, the surge suppression is very important problem. The waterhammer occurs when the pumps are started or stoped for operation or tripped due to the power failure. As the waterhammer problems as a result of the pump power failure were very serious, these situations were carefully investigated. Accordingly, we carried out both numerical simulations and field tests to confirm the safety of Juam intake pumping station in which had the in-line pumps. In this paper, it was reviewed that the water supply system has the reliability on the pressure surge, in case the air chambers were installed at both the inlet and the oulet of the in-line pumping station. From the numerical simulations, we found that negative pressure occurred at the inlet disappeared and high pressure occurred at the outlet reduced due to the air chambers. And these results of numerical simulations verified by the field tests. The field tests carried out in case of normal start, normal stop, one and two of pumps emergency stop. By results of simulations and field tests, we are sure that Juam intake pumping station in which have the air chambers is safe for the waterhammer. In addition, we suggested the operation methods of facilities for safe maintenance of the pumping station.

볼밸브를 사용한 송수펌프장에서의 수격현상 (Waterhammer in Transmission Pumping Station with Ball Valve)

  • The waterhammer has recently become more important because the pumping stations were big and the systems conveying the fluid through the large and long transmission pipelines were complex. When the pumps are started or stopped for the operation or tripped due to the power failure. the hydraulic transients occur as a result of the sudden change in velocity. In this paper, the field tests on the waterhammer by the startup, stoppage, and power failure of a centrifugal pump were carried out for Yongma transmission pumping station in Seoul. The experimental results were compared with that of the numerical calculations. in which results the procedure of controlled pump normal shut-down and the two-step closing mode of controlling the ball valve for pump emergency stop are proposed to reduce the pressure surge.
