In the Korean domestic construction field, there are a lot of problems related to construction information exchange and sharing owing to the absence of construction drawing information exchange standard. To remedy the aforementioned inefficiency effectively, it is necessary to apply the STEP standard which is known as an international standard for achieving the establishment of Construction CALS. This study focus on suggesting a methodology to activate the STEP based construction drawing information exchange standard to the current construction drawing information exchanging and sharing practice. In this paper, the domestic and foreign standardization projects related to the construction drawing information have been investigated and analyzed. In addition, a methodology of applying and activating the STEP standard has been suggested. Finally, a verification and certification methodology for applying the CALS/EC construction drawing information exchange standard(STEP) have been suggested.

Objective : We designed this study to analyse the anti-cancer effects of materials of green vegetable juice by using the natural standard methodology and apply the results to new studying and evaluating methods. Methods : We investigated the main stream of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM), the methodology of natural standard, guideline in CAM, and concrete 15 green vegetable juice in cancer therapy. Results : There are 15 graded materials of green vegetable juice that associated with cancer in natural standard contents. Most of them get grade C, unclear or conflicting scientific evidence. Conclusion : Natural Standard aims to provide high-quality, reliable information about CAM therapies to clinicians, patients, and healthcare institutions. We have to acquire more reliable evidence in future.

SOC test methodology in ultra deep submicron (UDSM) technology with reasonable test time and cost has begun to satisfy high quality and reliability of the product. A novel hierarchical test architecture using IEEE standard 1149.1, 1149.7 and 1500 compliant facilities is proposed for the purpose of supporting flexible test environment to ensure SOC test methodology. Each embedded core in a system-on- a-chip (SOC) is controlled by test access ports (TAP) and TAP controller of IEEE standard 1149.1 as well as tested using IEEE standard 1500. An SOC device including TAPed cores is hierarchically organized by IEEE standard 1149.7 in wafer and chip level. As a result, it is possible to select/deselect all cores embedded in an SOC flexibly and reduce test cost dramatically using star scan topology.

The purpose of this study is to set up the GIS Audit methodology through the definition of standard procedure ailed GIS Audit criteria and the result of preliminary study about the GIS Audit. the frame of GIS Audit criteria and the result of preliminary study about the GIS Project and check the GIS Audit methodology is to define a standard process of GIS Project and check the GIS Project according to the standard process. We named the method as CASP(GIS Audit Standard Procedure). GASP method means doing Pilot Project for setting the sample standard procedure(named Prototype) of total GIS Project process, and checking the activity to fulfill the prototype. GASP method is advanced method for GIS Audit to analyze the full range of GIS Project and characteristics of GIS contents.

Objective : We designed this study to analyse the Natural Standard methodology and apply the results to new study and evaluation methods. Methods : We investigated the main stream of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM), the methodology of Natural Standard, guideline in CAM, and concrete 35 cancer-related herbs and dietary supplements in 98 ones. Results : There are 35 graded herbs and supplements associated with cancer in natural standard contents: 9 foods, 17 herbs, 7 amino acids, enzymes and vitamins, and 2 herbal mixture formulas. Most of them get a grade of C: unclear or conflicting scientific evidence. Conclusion : Natural Standard aims to provide high-quality, reliable information about CAM therapies to clinicians, patients, and healthcare institutions. The more demands for and use of CAM grows, the more the needs for related studies increases. According to this international and multidisciplinary collaborative effort, we have to develop how to study and evaluate the results. We need guidelines in association with the evidence and recommendations of CAM.

This manuscript introduces the Capacity Design Methodology in the Building Standard Law of Japan revised at 2000, June. The Building Standard Law of Japan was revised into the performance-based design format following the trend of international. The structural performance was evaluated for two limiting states; soundness limit state and safety limit state. The design seismic forces were determined on taking into consideration (a)the properties of the planned building, (b)amplification by local surfaces geology, and (c)soil-structure interaction.

In Korea, countermeasures against earthquake disasters such as the seismic performance evaluation and/or retrofit scheme of buildings have not been fully performed since Korea had not been experienced many destructive earthquakes in the past. However, due to more than four hundred earthquakes with slight/medium intensity occurred in the off-coastal and inland of Korea during the past 20 years, and due to the great earthquakes occurred recently in neighboring countries, such as the 1995 Hyogoken-Nambu Earthquake with more than 6,500 fatalities in Japan and the 1999 Ji-Ji Earthquake with more than 2,500 fatalities in Taiwan, the importance of the future earthquake preparedness measures in Korea is highly recognized. The main objective of this paper is to provide the basic data for development of a methodology for the future earthquake preparedness in Korea by investigating the concept and applicabilities of the Japanese Standard for Evaluation of Seismic Performance of Existing RC Buildings developed in Japan among the methodologies of all over the world. In this paper, a seismic performance evaluation method of the existing reinforced concrete buildings is proposed based on experimental data of columns and walls carried out in Korea by referring the Japanese Standard, especially focusing on the Strength Index(C) among the indices in the seismic capacity index(IS) equations. Also, the seismic capacities of two existing reinforced concrete buildings in Korea are evaluated based on the proposed methodology and the Japanese Standard, and the correlations between the seismic capacities by the proposed methodology and the Japanese Standard are discussed.

NFPA-803 has been referred as the Fire Protection Standard at the Nuclear Power Plants of Pressurized Water Reactor. This Standard has been used as the fire protection regulation, containing prescriptive requirements with deterministic methodology. Recently, with cumulative efforts by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission and Utilities in America to establish a new Standard, including a quantitative evaluation methodology, NFPA-805, the Performance-Based Standard for FIRE Protection for Light Water Reactor Electric Generating Plants was issued and approved by the American National Standards Institute as an American National Standard with an effective date of February 9, 2001. This paper presents an analysis result from the computer modeling for the fire simulation In addition, it proposes the idea that this kind of analytic method can be available for the facilities design of fire prevention and protection fields, as well as an evaluation for the fire suppression system with a quantitative analysis for the thermal phenomena in fire compartments in Nuclear Power Plants.
