화재성장시나리오에 따른 스프링클러 헤드의 작동조건 (Activation Conditions of Sprinkler Head Considering Fire Growth Scenario)

  • 본 연구에서는 스프링클러 헤드의 해석모델을 통해 화재성장모드별 스프링클러 작동시 연층기류의 열유동조건을 파악하고자 한다. 화원은 최대발열량 3 MW의 시간제곱의 화재성장을 가정하였다. 시험대상 스프링클러헤드는 작동온도 65~105 ℃, RTI 25~171 m1/2s1/2 범위의 표준형과 조기반응형 8종을 대상으로 한다. 연층기류의 온도와 감열부의 온도차는 화재성장이 느리고 스프링클러 헤드의 RTI값이 작을수록 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 스프링클러 헤드 작동 순간의 연층 기류 온도와 속도조건은 전체적으로 시험기준의 범위와 비교적 잘 일치하고 있으나 저성장 화재에서는 최저시험기준 이하의 온도와 속도조건에서 작동이 이루어질 수 있음을 파악하였다. 본 연구는 스프링클러 헤드의 작동에 대한 기초연구로서 시험기준의 신뢰성을 향상시키는데 기여할 수 있다.

절연링형 금속플렉시블호스(CSST)의 저항 특성 및 신뢰성 평가 (The Resistance Characteristics and Reliability Evaluation of an Insulation Ring Type of Corrugated Stainless Steel Tubing(CSST))

  • This paper has analyzed the structure, applicable regulations and the resistance characteristics of insulation ring type of CSST (Corrugated Stainless Steel Tubing for Gas). With the flammability test conducted in accordance with KS C IEC 60811-1-1, the evaluation of insulation resistance, temperature characteristics, and reliability has been conducted. An insulation ring type CSST consists of protective coating, tube, nut, insulation ring, packing, socket, and ball valve. Connecting an insulation ring type CSST to gas tubings for gas appliance is not permitted, moreover, the product shall be installed inside a sleeve pipe in case of buried installation such as the ceiling. Damages on protective coating and tube were detected when fire was applied to the test sample with a portable torch for 60 seconds. The insulation resistance of a normal product was $49.59M{\Omega}$, while that of the product completed the flammability test reduced to $9.21M{\Omega}$. The mean insulation resistance within the confidence Interval of 95% using the mini tap program 17 was $49.59M{\Omega}$ and the mean insulation resistance within the confidence interval reduced to $9.21M{\Omega}$. In the normal distribution analysis of 95% confidence interval, the value-P of the normal product was stable at 0.075 and AD(Anderson-Darling) statistic value was turned out to be 0.063, which is very normal, and the standard deviation was analyzed as 0.2586. The value P of the product completed the flammability test resulted in 0.005, the AD was 1.355 and the standard deviation reduced to 0.07908.

방화용 실런트 성능 평가 방법 연구 (A study for the test method of fire resistance construction sealant)

  • Many kinds of fire-stop sealants have been used for joint sealing, cable penetration part sealing and fireproof structure finishing etc in building sectors which need water-proofing and fire-stop properties. But, fire-stop sealant itself has no specific industry standards in Korea even though there are so many required properties for the application. So, in this study, for the evaluation, we adopted and applied UL standard 94(UL 94) which is commonly used for the fire retardant testing in inflammable materials like plastics and rubbers in electronics industry. In this study, we demonstrated fire resistance properties of each fire-stop sealants which varied with different formulation, thickness and origins available in Korea. Overall, fire stop sealant had better fire resistance performance than normal construction sealant. And the thicker the material, the better the fire resistance performance was. Because there is no national or industry guideline for fire stop sealant itself, each sealant products showed different level of performances under UL94 desigation. Even certain product had very poor fire proof propeties although it claims it can be used for the application.

Post-fire test of precast steel reinforced concrete stub columns under eccentric compression

  • This paper presents an experimental work on the post-fire behavior of two kinds of innovative composite stub columns under eccentric compression. The partially precast steel reinforced concrete (PPSRC) column is composed of a precast outer-part cast using steel fiber reinforced reactive powder concrete (RPC) and a cast-in-place inner-part cast using conventional concrete. Based on the PPSRC column, the hollow precast steel reinforced concrete (HPSRC) column has a hollow column core. With the aim to investigate the post-fire performance of these composite columns, six stub column specimens, including three HPSRC stub columns and three PPSRC stub columns, were exposed to the ISO834 standard fire. Then, the cooling specimens and a control specimen unexposed to fire were eccentrically loaded to explore the residual capacity. The test parameters include the section shape, concrete strength of inner-part, eccentricity ratio and heating time. The test results indicated that the precast RPC shell could effectively confine the steel shape and longitudinal reinforcements after fire, and the PPSRC stub columns experienced lower core temperature in fire and exhibited higher post-fire residual strength as compared with the HPSRC stub columns due to the insulating effect of core concrete. The residual capacity increased with the increasing of inner concrete strength and with the decreasing of heating time and load eccentricity. Based on the test results, a FEA model was established to simulate the temperature field of test specimens, and the predicted results agreed well with the test results.

  • 본 논문은 연기감지기의 응답특성을 분석하여 주택용 화재감지기로 적합한지를 분석하고자 광전식연기감지기, 아날로그연기감지기, 단독경보형연기감지기를 시험체로 선정하여 UL 268에서 정하는 화재시험방법을 응용하여 화재성상(종이화재와 인화성액체화재)에 따른 연기감지기의 응답특성을 분석하고자 화재실험을 실시하였다. 실험결과 화재성상에 따라 연기감지기의 응답특성 차이가 나타나는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

내화충전구조 인정제도의 성능기준 및 등급분류 개선에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Improvement of Performance Standard and Classification for the Firestop Accreditation System)

  • The fire compartments with fire-resistant construction are installed in the principal structural parts of a building in order to reduce damage in the event of a building fire. As a fire may spread through a crack in the fire compartment, the firestop with secured performance is used according to the procedure, methods, and standards specified in the detailed operation guideline. According to the current detailed operation guideline, vertical members (wall penetration) and horizontal members (floor penetration) are classified into different categories respective to each other for the classification of the firestop. Therefore, an accreditation applicant must apply for the performance test for each structure even if the wall and the floor have the same structure. Also, Grade T is used for the firestop that penetrates the fire compartment. However, in the case of foreign countries, the use of Grade F for the firestop is allowed even if it penetrates the fire compartment. The result of the precedent studies also showed that there was a significantly low possibility of fire to spread even if Grade F was applied for a metallic duct that penetrated the fire compartment. In this study, the improved scheme for the classification and performance standard of firestops was presented by analyzing the results of precedent studies regarding the firestop and domestic and overseas firestop qualification systems.

콘칼로리미터를 사용한 샌드위치패널 연소특성에 대한 실험적 연구 (The Experimental Study for the Combustion-Property of Sandwich Panels using ISO 5660 Cone Calorimeter)

  • 국내에서는 현재 샌드위치패널의 화재안전성능 평가를 위하여 KS F 2271(건축물의 내장재료 및 구조의 난연성 시험방법)을 사용하고 있다. 국내와 동일한 시험방법을 사용하고 있던 일본에서는 2000년 건축기준법 개정시 ISO 5660-1 시험방법을 내장재의 연소성능시험으로 채택하였다. 그에 따라 국내에서도 KS F 2271 시험방법을 보완하는 건축법 개정고시(안)을 예고하였고, 그 내용은 ISO 5660-1(Cone Calorimeter Method) 시험방법을 도입하는 것으로 알려져 있다. 본 연구에서는 샌드위치패널의 연소특성을 ISO 5660-1 콘칼로리미터 시험방법을 사용하여 검토하였다. 국내에서 일반적으로 사용되는 4종의 샌드위치패널과 4종의 심재(단열재)의 착화시간, 최대열방출율, 총 열방출량을 검토하였으며, 시험체별 시험결과를 분석하였다. 최종적으로 일본과 NBC개정안에서 제시하는 분류기준에 시험결과를 적용하였다.

기포콘크리트를 이용한 친환경 내화충전제개발에 관한 기초적 연구 (A Fundamental Study on the Development of Fire Resistance Filling of Friendly Environment Using Aerated Concrete)

  • In this study, we processed two procedures of application test of filler for fire-resistance utility that are new application methods of aerated concrete and properties test of aerated concrete according to mixing ratio because we investigated the better use of aerated concrete as filler for fireproof safety and we proposed basic data about standardization of mixing of aerated concrete. We measured flow and volume change of aerated concrete. And if its volume doesn't change, we added measuring unit weight and compressive strength. To test application of aerated concrete as filler for fireproof safety, we filled up aerated concrete to fireproof safety according to suitable mixing ratio. Then we measured maximum temperature of inner part of fireproof safety in accordance with the standard test of fireproof. According to the results, aerated concrete as filler for fireproof safety could be possibly used. So when we make aerated concrete, we should consider using an adding agent as well as a foaming agent.

골재 종류에 따른 콘크리트의 고온역학적 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Mechanical Properties of Concrete with Aggregate Type)

  • In case of concrete, it should be deformed by many factors, such as explosive spalling, thermal strain and creep at high temperature. Structural fire design has been proposed to predict fire damage as national standard. It is general safer to use values obtained from tests of unstressed residual test in stead of stressed test. But most of thermal properties on concrete were conducted with normal aggregate. In this study, it evaluated mechanical properties of concrete with aggregate type and loading condition. we use normal and light aggregate to have different thermal properties. Also, we test mechanical properties to use Ø100×200 mm cylinder specimen according to target temperature and 0%, 20%, 40% loading.

강재 영구거푸집을 사용한 yLRC 합성기둥의 내화성능 연구 (A Study on the Fire Resistance of yLRC Composite Columns with Steel Sheet Forms and Angles)

  • yLRC 합성기둥은 기존 합성기둥의 장점과 거푸집 공사의 절감을 가져올 수 있으며, CFT와 비교하였을 때 강재량 감소의 효과와 함께 콘크리트의 충전상태를 육안으로 쉽게 확인할 수 있는 등의 장점을 가지고 있다. 실험결과와 연구를 통하여 yLRC 합성기둥의 구조체로서의 내력은 검증이 되었으나 내화성능에 관한 연구는 수행되지 않았다. 이에 본 논문에서는 yLRC 합성기둥의 내화성능 평가를 위해 콘크리트 면적비, 보강판, 피복유무 등을 변수로 두어 실험과 해석을 수행하였으며, 실험과 해석결과를 비교 고찰하여 내화 성능 평가를 하였다.
