자동차운반선 선회 중 최대 횡경사각 추정에 관한 연구 (Estimation of Maximum Outward Heel Angle During Turning of Pure Car and Truck Carriers)

  • 초대형 자동차운반선(LCTC)의 높이는 선저에서 조타실까지 약 44~46m에 이르며, 자동차운반선이 대형화될수록 상부 무게가 하부 무게보다 무거운 중두선의 특징을 가진다. 이 연구는 선회 중 전도한 자동차운반선 골든 레이호(G호)의 최대 외방경사각을 추정하여 사고 원인 규명과 유사사고 방지에 목적이 있다. 이론식으로 계산된 최대 외방경사각은 GM이 +3.0m 이상 상황에서 7.5°(19kn, 타각 35°), GM이 +1.85m인 상황에서 16.7°였다. 실험에 의한 수정식으로 계산한 최대 외방경사각은 GM이 +3.0m 이상 상황에서 10.5°(19kn, 타각 35°), GM이 +1.85m인 상황에서 23.3°를 보였다. G호는 전도사고 당시 도선사의 지시에 따라 속력 13kn, 우현 타각(10°→20°)을 사용하여 침로 038°(T)에서 105°(T)로 변침 중이었다. 이 때 최대 외방경사각은 좌현으로 7.8° 내지 10.9°로 추정된다. 평상 시 외방경사각보다 2.2배 높은 수치이다. 화물선의 최소 GoM은 IS coded에서 +0.15m 이상을 요구하고 있다. 전도된 G호도 +1.72m GoM을 확보하고 있었다. GoM에 대한 기준 미달이 전도의 원인이 아니라, 선회 중 횡경사 모멘트에 대응할 수 있는 충분한 GoM을 확보하지 않아 전도된 것이다. 이 연구는 중앙해양안전심판원과 USCG의 사고 조사 결과를 뒷받침한다.

Hydrodynamic Performance of a 2,500-ton Class Trimaran

  • This paper describes the powering, seakeeping and maneuvering performances for a 2,500-ton class trimaran. Influence of the side-hull forms and location of those in longitudinal and transverse direction to resistance performance was systematically investigated by a series of model tests and numerical calculations. It was found that the longitudinal location of side-hulls was the most influential design parameter to the resistance performance of the trimaran and the optimum location of side-hull depends on ship speeds. When the side-hull stem is located near the primary wave hollow generated by the main hull, the trimaran shows the best resistance performance. Powering performance of the trimaran is superior to those of similar mono-hull ships. Seakeeping model tests for the trimaran were executed and the results were compared with the theoretical results of a similar mono-hull ship. Generally speaking, seakeeping performance of the trimaran is superior to that of a mono-hull ship. In particular, pitching and rolling performance of the trimaran is excellent, which is due to the increased length and breadth. Maneuvering model tests using a HPMM equipment were executed to evaluate the maneuvering performance of the trimaran. Maneuvering simulation was performed using the maneuvering coefficients from the model tests. The results show that the control ability of heading angle and the direction keeping stability of the trimaran is excellent, even though the turning performance is rather worse compared to those of a similar mono-hull ship.

  • 색광에 대한 볼낙 Sebastes inermis의 행동을 조사하기 위하여, 서로 다른 두가지 색광을 조합하여, 수조의 양단에서 동시에 광자극을 가했을 때의 반응을 주간과 야간으로 구분 조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 수조내에서의 구간별분포곡선은 양단구간에 많이 모여 대체로 U자형이 되었다. 2. 양색광원쪽에서의 평균분포차는 $31.14\%(10.28{\sim}59.82\%)$였고, 주간($40.60\%$)보다 야간($21.68\%$)에 적었다. 3. 볼낙이 잘 모이는 색광은 주간과 야간의 구별 없이 백색, 청색, 황색, 적색의 순으로 나타났다. 4. 조명시간의 경과에 따른 집어율의 변화는 적었으며 비교적 안정하게 변동했다. 5. 두가지 색광에 대한 집어율의 차는 조명시간에 관계없이 뚜렷했는데, 야간보다 주간에 그 차가 심했다.

  • 색광에 대한 두툽상어 Scyliorhinus torazame의 행동을 조사하기 위하여, 2가지 서로 다른 색광을 조합하여 수조의 양단에서 동시에 광자극을 가했을 때의 반응을 조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 수조내에서의 구간별 분포곡선은 대체로 W자형이 되었다. 2. 양색광원쪽에서의 평균분포차는 10.19%(0.17~25.75%)였고, 주간(6.72%)보다 야간(13.66%)에 더 컸다. 3. 두툽상어가 잘 모이는 색광은 주간에는 황색, 백색, 청색, 적색의 순이며, 야간에는 적색, 청색, 백색, 황색의 순으로 나타났다. 4. 조명시간의 경과에 따른 집어율의 변화는 적었으며 비교적 안정하게 변동했는데 주간에 더 안정되었다. 5. 두 가지 색광에 대한 집어율의 차는 조명시간에 관계없이 대체로 뚜렷했는데 주간보다 야간에 더 차가 심했다

  • In this paper, the results of Planar Motion Mechanism (PMM) test for a 1/15 scaled model of the MARIN Joubert BB2 submarine is dealt with to derive the maneuvering coefficients for surface condition. For the depth of surface navigation, the top of the sail was exposed 0.46 m above the water surface in the model scale, and it corresponds to 6.9 m in the full scale. The resistance and self-propulsion tests were conducted, and the model's self-propulsion point was obtained for 1.328 m/s, which corresponded to 10 knots in the full scale. The maneuvering tests were performed at the model's self-propulsion point, and the maneuvering coefficients were obtained. Based on the maneuvering coefficients, a turning simulation was performed for starboard 30 degree of stern fins. The straight-line stability and control effectiveness in the horizontal plane were analyzed using the maneuvering coefficients and compared with the appropriate range. For the analysis of the neutral fin angle of the X-type stern fin, the stern fin test with drift angles was carried out. As a result, the flow straightening effect at lower and upper parts of the stern fin was discussed.

한방추출 천연혼합물의 탈모 유발 쥐에 대한 발모 효과 (Hair Growth Effect of Herbal Extract Mixture Ahn Tonic in Mice)

  • This paper aims to assess the effect of herbal extract mixture, Ahn Tonic, on hair growth and examine the stability of this percutaneous hair growth ointment. The hair on the back of the mice C57b1/6N was removed, and 1% of the TXN(testosterone) was then applied for a week to prevent the hair growth. The experimental group was then treated with Ahn Tonic, 0.2 mL per day. The degree of newly grown hair was observed with a vernier caliper. We also measured the proportion of the newly growing hair section to the entire shaved section in the 4th week and 8th week by distinguishing the section turning black from the shaved area. To observe the effect of the test chemical product on hair follicles and hair roots, the biopsy was executed between week 4 and week 8. Gene expressions, which operate as a factor for growing hair in the skin tissues extracted from each experimental animals, were also observed through a real-time PCR gene amplification method. The results showed that the Ahn tonic group had statistically significant hair restoring effect compared to the control group in terms of microscopy, biopsy, and gene expressions. Ahn Tonic is considered to have an impact on the hair growth.

反復荷重을 받는 흙의 構成關係式 開發 (Development of Constitutive Equation for Soils Under Cyclic Loading Conditions)

  • Various soil behaviors usually occurring in the geotechnical problems, such as, cutting and embankments, stability of slope, seepage, consolidations, shearing failures and liquefaction, should be predicted and analyzed in any way. An approach of these predictions may be followed by the development of the constitutive equations as first and subsequently solved by numerical methods. The purpose of this paper is develop the constitutive equation of sands uder monotonic or cyclic loadings. The constitutive equation which is based on elasto-plastic theory, modified anisotropic consolidated stress parameter by Sekiguchi et al and Pender's theory is derived. And the equation is included a new stress parameter, hardening function, Bauschinger's effects and Pender's theory. The model is later evaluated and confirmed the validity by the test data of Ottawa sand, Banwol sand Hongseong sand. The following conclustions may be drawn: 1. The consititutive equation which is based on elasto-plastic theory, modified anisotropic consolidated stress parpameter by Sekiguchi et al and Pender's theory is derived. The equation in included a new stress parameter, hardening function, Bauschinger's effect and Pender's theory. 2. For Ottawa sand, the result of the constitutive equation shows a better agreement than that of Oka et al. The result of axial strain agrees well with the tested data. However, the result of horizontal strain is little bit off for the cyclic loadings or large stress. It is thought that the deviation may be improved by considering Poisson's ratio and precise measurement of shear modulus. 3. Banwol sand is used for the strain and stress tests with different relative densitites and confining pressures. The predeicted result shows a good agreement with the tested data because the required material parameters were directly measurd and determined form this laboratory. 4. For Hongseong sand, the tests under same amplitude of cyclic deviatoric stress shows a similar result with the tested data in absolute strain. It shows the acute shape of turning point because the sine wave of input is used in the test but the serrated wave in prediction.

Prototype Development of a Small Combine for Harvesting Miscellaneous Cereal Crops and its Basic Performance

  • Purpose: The aim of this study is to develop a small combine for harvesting miscellaneous cereal crops. Methods: A prototype small combine was designed and constructed. Its specifications and basic performance were investigated. Results: The prototype small combine for harvesting miscellaneous cereal crops was designed and constructed to reflect similar specifications as those of the conventional combine. The prototype small combine comprises a diesel engine with the rated power/speed of 22.0 kW/2,600 rpm, three-stage primary and two-stage speed range transmission shifts, and a double acting threshing part. The maximum travel speeds of the prototype combine are approximately 0.72 m/s, 2.50 m/s, 0.30 m/s at the low, high speed range shifts in the forward direction, and while traversing in the reverse direction, respectively. The minimum radius of turning was approximately 1.50 m. In a static lateral overturning test, the prototype combine overturned neither to the right nor to left on a $30^{\circ}$ slope. The results of an oilseed rape harvesting test included the maximum operating speed of 0.32 m/s, the grain loss ratio of approximately 9.0%, and the effective field capacity of approximately 10.3 a/h. Additionally, among the outputs in grain outlet, the whole grains, damage grains, and materials other than grain (MOG) ratios accounted for 97.4%, 0.0%, and 2.6%, respectively. Conclusions: The prototype small combine for harvesting miscellaneous cereal crops indicates good driving ability and stability. The results of the oilseed rape harvesting test reveal that the harvesting performance must be enhanced such that the separating and cleaning parts are more suitable for each type of crop, thus reducing grain loss and foreign substances among the outputs in grain outlet. An improved small prototype combine could be used effectively to mechanize the harvesting of miscellaneous cereal crops in small family farms or semi-mountainous areas.

Comparison study between recovered carbon black and commercial carbon black filled epoxy conductive materials

  • Waste tire management and recycling have grown to be significant issues because they bring up a global environmental concern. Thus, turning recycled waste tires into useful products may help tackle the environmental issue. This research aims to study and compare the effect of recycled carbon black (rCB) and commercial carbon black (CB) at certain 15 vol. % of filler loading on the mechanical, thermal, morphology and electrical properties of epoxy/CB composites. For this project, epoxy resin, diethyltoluenediamine (DETDA), recovered carbon black (rCB) and commercial carbon black (CB) graded N330, N550, N660 and N774 were mixed and compared accordingly to the formulation determined. The CB content was dispersed in the epoxy matrix using the mechanical mixing technique. The distribution and dispersion of CB in the epoxy matrix affect the characteristics of the conductive composites. rCB content at 15 vol% was selected at fixed content for comparison purposes due to the optimum value in electrical conductivity results. The flexural strength results followed the sequence of rCB>N774>N660>N550>N330. As for electrical conductivity results, epoxy/N330 exhibited the highest conductivity value, while the others achieved a magnitude of X10-3 due to the highest external surface area of N330. In terms of thermal stability, epoxy/N330 and epoxy/N774 were slightly more stable than epoxy/rCB.
